If you support Harley’s old costume, you’re romanticizing her trauma and don’t like it when abuse victims move on. Sorry , even DC pointed it out. Embrace the new, ditch the old. The old was toxic and shitty to women/trauma survivors

She was just trying to reduce the surplus population and save the planet
Can you think of a better way to deal with dwindling resources than blowing up children?

        Anonymous

Blowing up old people. They consume more resources than children, have far less potential use to society, and consistently vote against humanity's long-term (and, more recently, short-term) interests. Mandatory euthanasia after the age of 70 would be such a massive improvement that society would be almost unrecognizable.

They've been voting against Social Security, their main source of income, and Medicaid, the only reason most of them are alive, for years. They ignored all the warnings about COVID and hundreds of thousands of them died because of it. They've definitely moved beyond caring about their own health or comfort. They're more interested in seeing other people suffer.

              Wait

So they've been voting against things that benefit them but increase the tax burden on the younger generations and they've been willingly exposing themselves to a deadly pathogen so they die sooner and lessen the tax burden further.

              >They're more interested in seeing other people suffer.
What exactly does voting against their own interests and dying do to make others suffer?

Harley was introduced into canon comics in 1999. She left Joker and got her own series in 2000.

No, the clown design is just superior and her personality was much more fun. For her to have been that way is now excused cuz she was doing it to be liked by Joker.

Anyway, she's a much more interesting character to explore victim-hood with, and not the one-sided version, but bring intricacy and more balance to the whole story. She might be a victim, but she's also an enabler. She isn't innocent either and with her you effectively could show the different sides of a in reality very dramatic and complex dynamic and relationship. And cuz they're v funni clowns it's entertaining. A fun vile over a tragic story gives dimension. She's a waste of a character if she's not with J. They both complement each other in that fricked up villainous kind of way.

      Anonymous

well said anon. she's not at all innocent, its just that people focus on the part where she gets kicked out of windows instead of the part where she willingly goes back to him because J is her type

I still find bizarre that Harley the serial killer gets to be in the Justice League while Jason Todd the vigilante gets shun as a loose canon that can't be trusted.

Both are kind of the same character if you think about it, but one panders to "quirky" girls while the other is for edgelord teens.

Harley Quinn was only ever interesting when she was a beaten sad puppy for Joker.
Want her to break free from that? Great! Have her leave the Harley Quinn life forever, retire from the super shit, get an office job or something, just be done with it and move on to something else, there's absolutely no reason for her to still be part of the action when she's reasonably at best sidekick tier. Harleywank is even stupider than either Batwank or Jokerwank, her skillset isn't suitable for anything aside from her position when she was under Joker. If she wants to atone for her sins or some stupid shit just stay out of it.

The thing I hate most about these gays that hem and haw about the OG costume is that they think Harley only stops being a victim when she abandons it while missing the point that Harley was never purely a victim. Yeah she's a mentally ill hanger on to Joker but she was also a violent stalker that attacked her fellow Arkham Staff to free him unprompted and violently responded to any form of outright rejection by the Joker by attacking whatever was coming between them even if it was the joker himself, it's why when he paid some bimbo to replace her she broke out of Arkham just to beat him into unconsciousness as punishment.

Harley should have stayed in BTAS. She should have stayed a tragic victim enthralled by a charismatic psychopath. That was the entire point of her character and she filled it well. wanting her to be a yaas queen hot topic warrior le quirky girl is missing the point. Nuharley is a totally different character. They can both exist that's fine, but just because you're too uncomfortable to handle a topic like domestic abuse and manipulation doesn't mean she needs to be sterilized into a bland heroine. The new Harley is more toxic. She was a warning to people to get out of bad relationships, she wasn't supposed to be idolized as a relatable main character, she was supposed to be a warning and an example. But you brainlets lack the critical thinking to not assume every character that gets screentime needs to be 'relatable' and that by showing bad behavior we're somehow 'promoting' it by giving it a platform to be seen. That's not how this shit works you easily influenced mental midget.

It's so crazy too, cause part of her separation was to show how well she can work independently; but all they've done afterwards is just make her completely co dependent on Ivy and vise versa. It's so bizarre just how clean her character is played now. Even Deadpool is treated with some level of unease and hostility in universe

      Smaugchad

This so much. I remember when she first left him I was like "she's just going to go back to him" because that's what abuse victims do until THE ABUSER changes (which Joker will never do).

I can enjoy past and present but prefer past. It doesn't mean I'm romanticising trauma.
