The movie is a trick to brainwash you into compliance.
If you will notice, Neo resigns to his desk after being given an ultimatum to face the unknown or submit to authority. He submits to authority. He loses his free will and has to follow the voice of God which is a black man in a cell phone.

      Anonymous

He's given another ultimatum to stay in the car and comply or to walk the unknown street. Trinity tricks you by saying to Neo, "You've already been down that road." He never has. He has always been a compliant goy, and he is the role model archetype for all the males that watched that movie.

        Anonymous

THEN you are tricked when he is given the ultimatum to continue complying by taking the red pill or "return to compliance" with the blue pill. Figuratively speaking, he takes the blue pill every time.

i wasn't allowed to see it in theaters when it came out. about two decades later, it's being shown at a local independent theater for a special one night event. i make the thirty minute drive and get my ticket. surprisingly not many in attendance. i pick a center seat. the theater has a good sound system and the picture looks kino. of course a few minutes after the opening scene a young family sits down with two hysterical kids. they're making noise and whining for the whole movie. who brings a young kids to a movie like the matrix? waited twenty years to see it on the silver screen and it was ruined. so it goes.

      Anonymous

They rewrite and downgrade Neo's whole journey. Neo is supposed to be like an admin in The Matrix by the end of 1 and beyond having to fight anymore, instead just focusing on redpilling people by proving the Matrix is a simulation.
For the sake of action, they ignored the points the first movie was making and just had Neo fighting more stuff from beginning to end, pulling new enemies out of nowhere that are also more powerful than the agents of the first film despite described as programs that were deleted for being useless. It's good for action but the world they built with the first movie goes out the window in the sequels.

Depending on your IQ level you will either see the best action flick of your life, a thought experiment in the nature of free will or a modern day exposition of Gnosticism. Depending on the cannabinoid concentration in your bloodstream you will either like it, love it or change your entire life as a result of it. Depending on your moral disposition you will either endorse the actions of the protagonists, condemn their utilitarian attitudes or begin to reconsider questions of right and wrong from first principles.

The only redpill is that normies will defend The Matrix because they trust the institution. Morpheus said that everyone, including the bystanders, are your enemy because they don't know the truth - yet.

Which means that Jesus being the way and god existing can't be the truth since the majority of the world actively believes it to be such and defend the claim with hostility rather than facts.
