Imagine a timeline where Jacky Chan fully embraced his mid-80s reputation of a "Bruce Lee clone" instead of breaking 80% of his bones by refusing to use stuntmen onstage…

Bruce Lee was just a clone of Jimmy Wang Yu
OK, I'm imagining, now what?
He would still be alive today
But Jackie is still alive
But Bruce isn't
Jackie Chan has used stunt doubles quite a bit. Also, it was mid 70's where he was a Bruce Lee Clone. Drunken Master onwards he was his own star.
based samo
Sammo and Lam ching-ying are peak. especially when they collabed
Why?
for me it's Lo Lieh
For me it's Gordon Liu.
for me it's Lau Kar-Wing
He'd make a few straight to video movies and never be heard of again like every Bruce Lee clone replacement.
I've been watching Jackie Chan films with my wife's son. I recently bought and we're going to watch

The Forigner, although recent, is still "don wan no trobouh" kino
I don't understand why Jackie is doing all these serious sad roles these days. Even in the new Hidden Strike film with John Cena he tried to do it.
He's too old to keep doing stunts, and years of success have convinced that he's a better actor than he really is.
>I've been watching Jackie Chan films with my wife's son.
>wife's son
jesus christ
>childless virgin pol-tards unable to understand the concept of being a good step dad because they’ll never actually understand the concept of masculinity.
Many such cases.
Just call the boy your son, anon. If you're gonna raise another man's child, own that shit, the kid is yours now.
The way he says it makes him look like a b***h. My wifes son? How about your step-son, you grade A cuck.
>my wife's son
He never had a gravity and grace of Lee, he was doomed to slop action and comedy flicks
one former british colony island has more cultural impact on the world than the billion people in mainland china
Taiwan made some good shit too
No thanks.
Jacky never had a reputation as a Bruce Lee clone and never engaged in "Bruceploitation" films. The Bruce craze was from 1973 and was dying out by 1977 when it was being superseded by sci-fi. Jacky wasn't a star in that era, only after that and he made his name doing slap-stick comedy in films where he had a huge amount of autonomy to do what he wanted along with Sammo Hung
Debunked, he used stuntmen a shitload of times, but paid them to not take credit in order to build his brand. Worked really well. This myth did not survive 4k transfers, to put it that way.
>his mid-80s reputation of a "Bruce Lee clone"
what de frick?
He never had a bruce lee clone reputation and it certainly wasn't by the mid-1980s when he had already cemented his career with films like Police Story
film illiterates in the west think everything began with Bruce Lee so any martial arts star that existed after Lee's death was "ripping off Bruce Lee." It's true that Lee broke barriers in terms of international success, but he was hardly the first kung fu star or even the best of his era
>tfw u realize jackie chan will die in your lifetime
Thats chan hating himself for lying to her daughter about doing stunts he didnt do.
>Papa you're amazing
His real daughter lives in social housing in Vancouver.
They weren't really looking at his stunts and that's not what they're saying, it's an edit someone made from a film.
>His real daughter
Is that a fake daughter in the webm?
She's a stunt double.
