Theres a common cliche with women centric movies that try to make a designated "moron man" character but unintentionally enda up being the most interesting character in the entire movie because despite his extremely moronic flaws, he was the only one allowed to have some flaws, which humanizes him much more for the audience. It also helps that they also tend to be funny and likeable than the idealized women protagonist
