I was in 8th grade in 2010, and genuinely almost killed myself, the bullies in high school are actual psychopaths, the worst thing they ever did was so bad I can't talk to people in real life about it, not even my parents know what really happened.
But then in 9th grade and onward, it was different, because those bullies were expelled permanently (we never found out why), but also, there was a girl who actually spoke to me willingly, we became good friends as time went on, and in 12th grade we were in the same class again, because she got along with everyone I was invited to one of those "jock" parties with her, it was actually pretty fun (I got laid that night), we even went to prom together.
Basically, the first year of high school sucks, unless you already have friends or an older sibling or if you aren't an easy target.

I think we turned a saw on one time, but the whole school did so poorly on a standardized test that the state was going to pull funding, so alot of elective classes were converted to emergency math classes half way into the school year.

I went to that class... they after I made a wooden stool, battery puller, learned how to wire a light bulb, and weld a joint did I figure out that Home Economics in my school meant shop class.

Basic turkey crown recipe for taste and moistness throughout

I was in 8th grade in 2010, and genuinely almost killed myself, the bullies in high school are actual psychopaths, the worst thing they ever did was so bad I can't talk to people in real life about it, not even my parents know what really happened.
But then in 9th grade and onward, it was different, because those bullies were expelled permanently (we never found out why), but also, there was a girl who actually spoke to me willingly, we became good friends as time went on, and in 12th grade we were in the same class again, because she got along with everyone I was invited to one of those "jock" parties with her, it was actually pretty fun (I got laid that night), we even went to prom together.
Basically, the first year of high school sucks, unless you already have friends or an older sibling or if you aren't an easy target.

One year I didn't need to eat at the cafeteria thanks to homec because we actually cooked food regularly, that homec teacher legit fed the class real food and it was awesome.

it's real. I wanted to take it, but they made me take wood shop instead and we did literally nothing. I think we turned a saw on one time, but the whole school did so poorly on a standardized test that the state was going to pull funding, so alot of elective classes were converted to emergency math classes half way into the school year.

You got to remember that, as you said, people don't actually really know much about Argentina nor the people that live there, this is a big country, you have snowy mountains, deserts, beaches, and jungles all included within. Home econ is literally the only class I actually felt like I learned anything useful in. Learned to cook which is a skill I still use daily and learned CPR that could save someone's life one day. Every single other class was stuff I already knew, knew was completely useless or stuff I'd only need to know for a career I wasn't going to have. Never got taught how to do anything else important like open a bank account or drive of course.

Our home ex class was just a filler class that the teacher gave you an A for simply showing up.
Didn't learn anything at all in it, and there would be weeks at a time where we would just be sitting around doing nothing while the teacher was on her phone or "taking care of something" out of class
Its a real thing in a lot of european junior high schools. Mostly its just learning how to bake bread and how to gut a fish.

I like this guy's art but he has a real problem with constantly introducing characters and setups that never seem to go anywhere before he drops them and starts on something else; I don't know if its something to do with the "Twitter artist" mindset or whatever but the guy just can't seem to commit to anything for very long
It's just artists in general. Can't tell you how many times i've seen a R34 artist who starts a lewd comic that looks like it's gonna be amazing and it never gets finished cause they decided to move onto something else. Same thing here with his concepts and ideas. Plays with them for a while, does his whole character design thing he likes so much and once that gets old, does something else.
I feel like I'd enjoy these more if the artist didn't self-insert himself as "Tough Macho Quiet Guy" every setting he does
He kinda looks like his self inserts, but of course he puts himself in a way better light than he would be in real life. He's fricking buff, but I doubt he's as confident as he likes to portray in the comics, or that he has much interaction with wymyn in general. Still, seems like a cool guy to hang around. Certainly wouldn't be afraid of anyone if I had him on my side.

HomeEc was real when I was in school.
Girls took it. Cooking, sewing, etc.
Boys took shop. Planes, band saws, lathes, wood glue.
I enjoy watching the DIY videos on Facebook and YouTube, but I don't have the equipment Norm Abrams does.
Whereas I DO need to cook and do minor clothing repairs.
In other words, HomeEc would have been much more useful.

Are we talking about education in this thread? I teach at a nonpublic school for students with disabilities. Most of our students are somewhere on the autism spectrum, but we program for all students whose "home schools" can't manage their symptoms well enough to provide services. Ask me (almost) anything.
