I never had it in my high school but wished I did.
In middle school for science class, my teacher taught us how to cook calamari. I was really good at it, even gave a dish to the class vegetarian.
Honestly, something they should bring back.
NO, YOU NEED TO LEARN MATH PROBLEMS THAT YOU WILL 100% NEVER USE IN THE REAL WORLD UNLESS YOU PURSUE A CAREER IN MATHEMATICS!
Next you'll tell me schools should teach kids how to do their taxes, act in social environments, and why breaking the law is bad.
Brainlet, those are basically like weight lifting for your mind. It's TRAINING your brain to understand complex abstract concepts and logic. Also shit like basic fraction math you learn in highschool is very important in building or making anything and most people over 30 totally forget it and it's hilarious when you take a CC class with them and half the class is teaching basic math that I already learned. You're just too low iq to apply it.
I learned fractions in middle school. And that's fine and dandy.
I have NEVER and WILL never use "AB-Y=72, solve for AB, what's Y? Solve that too."
You can't solve something with two unknowns
Well tell that to the textbooks they force down kids' throats, mine included.
AB=72+Y and Y=AB-72.
Nah, not overly complicated enough.
>AB=72+Y and Y=AB-72.
AB-Y=72
(72+Y)-Y=72 -> 72=72
Alt
AB-AB+72=72 -> 72=72
Like I said you can't solve it because you have two unknowns.
Obviously, but the textbook wouldn't be asking you to solve the equation without giving you a value for something. More than likely the textbook would be asking how to find a given unknown rather than asking to solve, and anon was simply misunderstanding the assignment.
If AB-Y=72 then:
A=(72+Y)/B
B=(72+Y)/A
Y=AB-72
I had one of these problems on a test of mine, I just wrote abcdefg as the answer. Frick them
It's amazing how brainlets take pride in being stupid lmao
Listen here, if you couldn't solve that shit as a pre-teen without even needing to learn it in school, you're a fricking idiot. That's okay, not everyone can be smart, and you're not less of a person for being stupid. Take pride in who you are as a human being and don't compare yourself with others. Intelligence is just one trait of many, and you can still be kind, hard-working, loving and lovable. You're not lesser just because you're not smart, just like someone isn't lesser just because they're born without a hand or born ugly. Be a person people want to like, and they'll bend over backwards to justify your worth because that's what we do for people we like.
But yeah you're fricking moronic lmao
Funny enough, many of those math problem would be useful for doing your taxes but it's never applied to such in classes. Kind of a bizarre choice
Because it's not part of the state standardized test.
That's the ultimate failing of the education system is that it's geared towards prepping students to pass a test so the sword of damacles doesn't drop on them when the leftover scraps of taxpayer money is dolled out.
Except all those bullshit math theorems help a shit ton even in no-experience/no-education jobs like construction.
>breaking the law is bad
..or is it?
>NO, YOU NEED TO LEARN MATH PROBLEMS THAT YOU WILL 100% NEVER USE IN THE REAL WORLD UNLESS YOU PURSUE A CAREER IN MATHEMATICS!
>Highest level maths requirement for American students to graduate high school is algebra
Buddy, if you don't even use basic algebra in your job, then your job is likely a joke.
I blame feminists
its probably the education budget
All I did was wash the dishes while my partner did all the cooking and stuff, and since it was a team-graded module, I passed that way since she was a good cook.
HOEIII please make Sklya I will suck your wiener
HomeEC is real.
You know you really don't have to come over here and show us every time the Brazillian makes a new comic.
It's funny that no one can ever remember the dude's nationality, not that it matters
We do it on purpose.
> the Brazillian
this kills the boludo
Tekuho?
That peach has a stem.
It was an elective in my high school
My friends who took it said it was alright
Where is Skyla? Why is the comic about the author now?
Too much "controversy"
and then the concept can only go so far
That's why he made some porn of her and then put her on a bus to focus on other characters.
I miss her.
Did he literally put her on a bus? What a sad ending to her story
I don't even think she got any send off
She got laid
Where can I read the whole series? I know he had it on some website other than Twitter.
On his tumblr
It was real, and pretty based considering my mom was a shit one and didn't teach me anything... Except it was also seen as gay for a dude to participate in home ec (it was an elective) so I pretended to myself that I was too good for it even though I liked it after trying it once. What a fricking mistake. Could have learned to cook by now while hanging out with a bunch of cuties. Teenage me was a real fricking shithead, I tell you what.
Every guy who was smart took that class.
It's seen as "gay" because it's a left over of the dumbass "Father Knowns Best" style of upbringing; where boys are literally raised to not know how to survive without a woman around. Cooking, cleaning, sewing, balancing a budget, and child rearing were "women's work", so a man knowing how to do any of that was a sign of him being gay because it implied that he was planning to not have a woman in his life. If you're a millennial and don't understand why your dad was shit at taking care of himself once he divorced your mom, a BIG part of that is because he was literally never taught how to take care of himself.
>he thinks this is worth explaining
brainlet
You'd be surprised at how unobservant and moronic people can be.
The fact you called him a brainlet just tells me no, you are the brainlet and an insecure one at that.
I unironically had a home ec class in high school, I used it to dodge gym for a year. All we did was sowing for the first semester and cooking for the second
I was one of three guys, in a class of 25. Three goddamn guys in the whole class. It was awful
It's usually an elective. Most of the boys took woodshop instead.
I would've taken home ec instead. I'm not going to use stuff with wood but stuff like cooking is a very useful skill.
He's not, he made various characters that represent nations and the one who represents brits (the blue haired b***h) got popular.
>he made various characters that represent nations
DOA
She didn't get popular, he just liked drawing her the most. Skyla, the blonde one (another brit), and the scot are likely the most popular.
Though it is pretty obvious he has a thing for brits.
>Skyla
What the hell happened to Skyla? I miss our cute idiot.
Skyla was unironically to controversial for the internet, both on Twitter and Cinemaphile. What HOEIII is doing right now is better for the algorithm.
I liked Skyla but sometimes he wrote her more as a development stunted moron than just a naive sheltered person.
Only sometimes?
He hasn't drawn her in a while for some reason
He turned her into a bawd then got bored of her. Many such cases.
> having sex with a single guy she show interest in for a long time means she's a bawd.
And to think you people complain when the author do will they won't they shit.
He also had her bang another meat head guy for her first time before he drew her banging the guy interested in her
She had her bang (one of) his self inserts, and had her in some gangbang with her goth and pothead friends.
I never liked her anyway.
Werent the comics in which she fricked not even canon?
Yes
Skyla has very limited appeal actually. The concept of a black girl who doesnt cares about racism and converts a white supremacist is only attractive to moderate right wingers.
Skyla's concept wasn't any of that it was that she was supposed to be a an absurdly optimistic person who was too nice/ too naive to see the bad in people.
This is why there are also comics of her positively responding to cat calls and getting into sketchy as frick vans with the punch line being that despite all evidence to the contrary it always ends up for the best.
The overall theme being that Hoobes was wrong and basic human impulse tends to be kind, and people who live kind lives tend to be treated kindly in return while having a positive effect on those around them.
Now, if you believe that or not is another question.
>Hoobes was wrong and basic human impulse tends to be kind,
yeah if they have their life security guaranteed.
in a downtown favelas like cairo or rio where everyone lives with survival mode on and see how quickly you get taken advantage of
Hence the 'if you believe that.' Personally I don't. But you can straddle the line between human coyote and human sheep and do ok.
She's a woman child in a world full of thugs and rapist who has plot armor and rarely has something bad to her
She has had some stuff, a dad that left her a bastard. A childhood friend that was a psychopath.
>moderate right wingers.
Since about 2014 to 2016, they've been about as extinct as prehistoric dinosaurs, and it's the same with anyone hard left who isn't busy doing lip service to the alphabet soup people.
>it's the same
It really isn't. There's substantial pushback against performative wokeness by many firmly leftist personalities and politicians. You see virtually none of that on the right because the few who tried moderation became persona non grata.
They are easily and often recruited for the far right in the culture war. Moderates have no place in the new world order of constant shitflinging
>the few who tried moderation became persona non grata
Right wings are origin of cancel culture yeah?
mccarthyism was a thing so...
Communism did cancel culture better, tbh.
McCarthy was right.
The man himself was a demagogue and a bully, but he was 100% right about a pervasive and organized effort to infiltrate and undermine western society with traitorous communists.
This is an objective fact
Also Franco dud nothing wrong.
This.
And Mussolini made the trains run on time and defeated the Mafia
judging by how many marxist c**ts we have in academics and journalism I think he did a shit job
Well it got outed as being gay and it fell apart.
He was smeared and murdered so they successfully stopped him
Nice brainrot.
you are thinking too much over a comic that's literally SUBVERTED EXPECTATIONS: Cinemaphile MEMES EDITION
>he made various characters that represent nations
WHEN WILL YOU LEARN
WHEN WILL YOU LEARN
THAT YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES
My high school shut down their home economics section the year I enrolled to use that space for a dance studio.
Some kids shot each other with a pellet gun at that school a few weeks ago.
>dance studio
My high school had a dance room and a gym full of machines and equipment and we used those rooms as a P.E. dressing room for boys and girls respectively.
Damn, she's a freak, dude! just how i like them
My brother took home ec in high school for as many years as they would let him. He had a good teacher, because he turned out a damned good cook.
Is cooking really so hard that you need an entire year-long subject for it?
You'd be surprised how little the average 21st century teenager knows about cooking
You'd be surprised about how little many 20 year-olds or even grown-ass men in their 30s or 40s know about cooking.
Boomers and older are even worse because in their mind cooking is the wife's job. The only thing they know how to do is grill for barbecues because it's considered manly for some reason.
Yeah, that's why Home EC was created in the first place.
>barbecues because it's considered manly for some reason.
Because barbeques are held in yards, which you'd have to do yardwork in an maintain which shows you're an outdoorsy type who can handle his way around a house, as well as showing off your yard and house as a sign of pride.
Also, like with everything else, there's a lot of autism that goes into barbecuing since there are different ways to barbecue with different results depending on technique, the fuel used and how much time you're intending to spend on it.
At my school it was a general household skills kind of thing. I at least remember sewing also being part of it.
there's so sewing, not just cooking. this was all in middle school though. we could choose stuffed animals to make from a catalog, get the supplies, and the. sew it together.
Where I'm from, they also taught household budgeting and small stuff like sewing, hair styling/salon shit, and other stuff done at home that could theoretically be used as entry point into trades. The poorer students seem to have benefited the most from home ec
Get rid of that Commie shit. Your Caliphate is shit. You’re shit. Poor people are shit and they deserve to suffer because they’re shit.
Shut the frick up you moron schizo lmao
>Home economics
Not here.
But primary schools sometimes try to teach children how to cook useless dishes.
It would help society, though not the economy, if adults knew more about cooking than ordering in.
If it's one lesson a week then you have roughly 25 lessons or hours in an entire year devoted to it... which is not enough to cooking, hygiene and safety.
You might even have less food politics like fad diets, sugar in everything and corporate backed veganism/phobia of animal products.
Honestly there are a lot of "the world around you" subjects that should be taught but aren't, instead favouring honestly theoretical and higher level subjects that very few people find use for later on, like Religious Education, which is useless even at teaching you about your country's primary religion, let alone preparing you to be a loyal subject in the secondary political order.
>Its been scrapped as a formal qualification since 2014.
Damn, I didn't know things were that bad here.
It should have more. Children used to learn cooking from their parents or community. If school is going to prevent them from existing in an environment to pick up homemaking skills naturally then it needs to teach them those skills itself.
>Is cooking really so hard that you need an entire year-long subject for it?
Yes. They teach you how to cook with an oven, not a microwave. Also it was only a semester. They teach you how to cook, set the table, serve guests, sew, do your taxes ect ect ect
troony webcomic.
>Made by a buff Argentinian that just makes characters based on archetypes or niches he likes
>Some moron starts seething about trannies
t.stupid and pointless commentary with no argument
1 troony = full-on troony comic
When I did it, it was mostly baking really basic stuff like scones or yoghurt cake. I think if you did it as an elective for GCSE (the closest you Yanks have would be a High School Diploma) you also learnt about food production. It looked boring af, so I went did Business Studies instead. That was slightly more interesting, but everyone else basically saw it as an excuse to frick around, and not even in the fun way.
One time I made plain scones, and I forgot the sugar. I felt a right proper 'nana.
You accidentally did a Freedom
I thought Sixth Form was high school.
I never took it, but from my understanding it was like "bake cookies once every other week" and that was it. Are those characters supposed to be highschoolers or something?
Yes
We had a cooking classes pretty regularly, but the last time it happened we spent the entire time baking because we didn't feel like making food. The only problem was that I got diabetes a year earlier so I wasn't able to eat most of the cakes I made. Huge disappointment.
I wish my classes in high school did this kind of stuff instead of wasting our time with moronic homosexualry like sociology or chemistry
>inb4 but chemistry is important
I hated it, so that means it sucks.
Yeah, I had it like first year of junior high. Then they canned it the next year and I took woodshop second year. Then they canned that too cause public school is shit.
The UK did have home ec once, but most schools who used to do it as a GCSE changed over to "Food Technology". Its been scrapped as a formal qualification since 2014.
I did food tech in the early 00s as a GCSE because nobody trusted me around power tools, and the teacher was intensely frustrated they couldn't teach proper cooking and household management stuff sny more
He was friends with some older british girl who taught him to draw and used to hang out with him, the blue haired girl is her old OC which he keeps using in his comics because she was his oneitis
It is in some schools, my had the option. Also he should draw porn of the boy getting fricked.
In the UK we had to do woodshop and cooking. They were separate classes.
Is the next page a mating press ?
Basic turkey crown recipe for taste and moistness throughout
>obtain turkey crown, stuffing mix, sausage meat, butter and streaky bacon (back bacon is fine but harder to work with), plus whatever spices you want
>preheat oven to 180°C
>set turkey on a baking tray
>gradually mix up your stuffing mix and sausage meat with boiling water and a little butter until you have stuffing, be mindful of cross-contamination
>turn the turkey over and stuff it into every orifice, especially the big cavity on the underside
>turn the turkey back over so the stuffing is on the bottom
>gently and carefully work the top layer of skin away from the rest of the bird with your fingers to create three small pockets, two at either side of where the head would be and one at the other end
>take some butter (mix spices into it if you want)
>work spiced(?) butter into the pockets
>flatten the butter against the flesh
>rub spices onto the skin
>layer the bacon in streaks across the turkey, covering everything
>add water to the tray, enough to reach about 1mL depth
>add turkey to the oven for however long your bird takes to cook (will vary by size, consult packaging or internet for guidance)
>remove turkey 30mins before the end and strip off the bacon, set on a plate for later
>baste turkey with juice in tray
>stab turkey to check if the juices run clear
>if they do, baste a little more, cover turkey with and return it to oven for final 30 minutes
>consume tasty bird corpse
I never got the point of stuffing turkeys. By the time the stuffing is properly cooked you've overcooked the meat. I prefer to spatchwiener the turkey, dry brine it, and glaze it as it cooks with aromatics on the bottom. Stuffing I just cook separately since you get a better crust that way.
>You know what would go great with this delicious turkey? SOGGY BUTT BREAD
Because you slow roast a turkey you fricking berk, it allows the stuffing to flavour the meat.
It's why you're supposed to roast your veg in the same oven.
Aromatics serve the same purpose
I took it
Learned to make a budget and cooked a few things
Yeah but the teacher would usually have us using recipes that required:
One 18.25 ounce package chocolate cake mix
One can prepared coconut pecan frosting
Three slash four cup vegetable oil
Four large eggs. One cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Three slash four cups butter or margarine
One and two third cups granulated sugar
Two cups all purpose flower
Don't forget garnishes such as
Fish shaped crackers
Fish shaped candies
Fish shaped solid waste
Fish shaped dirt
Fish shaped ethyl benzene
Pull and peel licorice
Fish shaped volatile organic compounds and sediment shaped sediment
Candy coated peanut butter pieces. Shaped like fish
One cup lemon juice
Alpha resins
Unsaturated polyester resin
Fiberglass surface resins
And volatile malted milk impoundments
Nine large egg yolks
Twelve medium geosynthetic membranes
One cup granulated sugar
An entry called 'how to kill someone with your bare hands
Two cups rhubarb, sliced
Two slash three cups granulated rhubarb
One tablespoon all-purpose rhubarb
One teaspoon grated orange rhubarb
Three tablespoons rhubarb, on fire
One large rhubarb
One cross borehole electro-magnetic imaging rhubarb
Two tablespoons rhubarb juice
Adjustable aluminum head positioner
Slaughter electric needle injector
Cordless electric needle injector
Injector needle driver
Injector needle gun
Cranial caps
And it contains proven preservatives, deep penetration agents, and gas and odor control chemicals
That will deodorize and preserve putrid tissue
Stuff like that
Why don't you just marry that recipe if you like it so much?
>Why don't you just marry that recipe if you like it so much?
Well I won't let you!
oh this takes me back
2010 was a different time
>2010
>Failing school
>Get diagnosed with burger booty
>Family blames school for incompetence
>Get transferred to special school
Yeah, it sure was.
the frick is a burger boo... oh I get it
I think he's referring to Asperger's
I thought it was a variation of Hank Hill's condition
Well that have been your experience back then but mine was different
Back then I was young and dumb and full of hope
Things were simpler back then due to less responsibility
I just wish that I'd been able to properly use forums back then
Now I'm just dumb and have half a cup of hope for the future
I was in 8th grade in 2010, and genuinely almost killed myself, the bullies in high school are actual psychopaths, the worst thing they ever did was so bad I can't talk to people in real life about it, not even my parents know what really happened.
But then in 9th grade and onward, it was different, because those bullies were expelled permanently (we never found out why), but also, there was a girl who actually spoke to me willingly, we became good friends as time went on, and in 12th grade we were in the same class again, because she got along with everyone I was invited to one of those "jock" parties with her, it was actually pretty fun (I got laid that night), we even went to prom together.
Basically, the first year of high school sucks, unless you already have friends or an older sibling or if you aren't an easy target.
8th grade is jr. high where I'm at. I'd generally agree with you that 7th/8th graders are way more unhinged.
Mods do your job
>the worst thing they ever did was so bad I can't talk to people in real life about it, not even my parents know what really happened
Show on the doll where they touched you
I'm glad things turned out better for you after the bullies anon.
I see you, Portal-bros, and I appreciate you.
I appreciate you as well portal bro
Home Economics is very real and the things I learned there about cooking has gotten me laid numerous times.
One year I didn't need to eat at the cafeteria thanks to homec because we actually cooked food regularly, that homec teacher legit fed the class real food and it was awesome.
I took home ec in middle school.
It was fun.
Most of the class was girls and I got to make out with this freaky Asian chick who was like 15, so that was cool.
Something from the drawfriend that came by and was nice enough to draw the buff scottish girl. Was in HOE's favorites.
https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/ricksteubens/deep-in-and-deep-fried (cause the full image was way too big)
IT AIN'T I SAY IT AIN'T ME
Is he on the joe rogan experience?
holy shit
When I went to school, the class was called Family Consumer Science. It was just using a sewing machine and cooking.
It should be a real thing everywhere. Imagine thinking the names of every part of a cell is more essential public education than knowing how to feed yourself.
it's real. I wanted to take it, but they made me take wood shop instead and we did literally nothing. I think we turned a saw on one time, but the whole school did so poorly on a standardized test that the state was going to pull funding, so alot of elective classes were converted to emergency math classes half way into the school year.
We still failed because we were miserable, knew we had no futures, the school treated us like products, and it was just bullshit for Boards of Director's car payments.
FRICK YOU MS. KRINZ. I COULD HAVE MADE PANCAKES! I COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING YOU prostitute! DAMN YOU TO HELL YOU FLOP TITTIED b***h.
We had it, did a couple food preservation and a couple actual cooking.
It's rare because ingredients for an entire class is expensive as frick.
Anyone else feels like this comic got absolutely generic and repetitive without Skyla? What is this comic even about at this point?
It's a different comic about bullies in high school now
Called if Family and Consumer Sciences in my middle school.
didnt you have it? it should be mandatory, it taught me how to sew so I can fix my own clothes and taught me how to make my own ice cream
you didn't have home ec?
yes, at least when I went to middle school. They taught us how to do things like use appliances and chop vegetables.
I had it in middle school in the SE US in the 90s. We learned some basic food things and how to sew.
It used to be. Got cut years ago due to the government underfunding schools, and all their remaining budget getting spent on football.
Yeah. My school had it as late as 2013. We had a ton of different electives. We even had a dedicated welding lab too. My school was brand new, but 2/3 empty because it was build in order to accommodate a flood of new housing that the '08 recession put a kibosh on.
we called welding "Agrimetal fabrication"
It was an elective when I was in school, but this was back in the early 90's so I wouldn't be surprised if they've phased it out by now.
god I wish that was me
That's what she said
>trannie spotted
It's not common these days, but the high school I went to offered the class. Not sure if it still does, though.
We called it FT(food technology) which was just cooking. I went to a state school so you had to bring your own ingredients which is gay so I just took the detention half the time
>food technology
Neat name.
In my country is was part of what was known as Home Arts, which included stuff like cooking, cleaning, and domestic finances.
I think cooking is still in our schools, it at least was when I was a kid, though the others have fallen out of favor before I was born.
Now we need one where he grabs the guy and full on French kisses him
No we don't.
Yes we do
nice simpsons ref
All HoEiii has are references acted out by hollow husks confused for characters
Author's an argie, expect something like that
I thought mexicans were the ones that worship Simpsons
Nearly every Latin American country does.
>Simpsons did it
is voodoo shit even popular with goths?
It's a trope more than anything
As an active, actual practitioner of Vodou and Voodoo as the act of Magic/ Spiritual Mainfestation, People in the common see it as more of a... Curiosity than any source of real personality Trait. It's Fringe but I assure you, it's 100% goth. One of our Lwa is even a White, Redhaired Irish Woman who actually MADE Voodoo Dolls when the Irish were brought over.
grow up
>Redhaired Irish Woman
Is she single?
No, there's hundreds of them.
I think it is Maman Brigitte. She was syncretized from the Irish St. Bridget who was a Christianization of the deity Brigid.
HEY CORRECT! MOTHER BRIGITTE! Wife of Samedi.
Frick so she's married then
What is this series of comics called
Saint Dennis
>red cover edition
bruh, rules have changed a lot since 1983
yeah, for the worst
Doesn't mean you can't play the classics.
I'm part of a vintage game group and we're doing 2nd Ed.
Yeah but only absolute homos play anything published after 1991.
The good thing about pen and paper is you don't have to accept sóy if you don't want to and they can NEVER take your splats from you.
Blue hair is gonna shank that fool.
why? she now has an excuse to play nurse with the nerd
>Guess who likes you?
God damn the goth has some juicy lips.
At least he didn’t have to pay for the ride
Literally all Argies are obsessed with the Falklands. Meanwhile half of England doesn't even know Argentina exists
Dilate
Argie here, not literally ALL (I know I'm not), but the vast majority sure. It's pretty lame actually. People claim those islands are ours just because of geographical placement, as if that was reason enough. All the while they spout political propaganda from a dictatorship that happened back in the fricking 70's, which started that war only to give people a greater sense of patriotism even though they knew they couldn't win. They sent young people to die in a cold land and somehow that's something that brings pride to boomers instead of shame and resentment for Videla (dictator at the time). I mean yes, most people here hate Videla, but they hate him because he killed locals, not because he started a war that was lost from the beginning. And even then, they hate the brits even more. They hate regular english civilians more than they hate a dictator that killed them and sent them to die. Shits fricking dumb if you ask me.
Human nature baby. We love doubling down so much.
I remember seeing some sort of children's cartoon about some kid who travels back in time to see the history of the Falkland Islands and it was complete propaganda, like EXTREMELY BLATANTLY propaganda, even more blatant then some of the Looney Tunes WW2 shorts
Tbh Britain could've fricked up real easily in various ways during the war. No one really expected them to intervene the way they did, and would not be able to step in quickly enough to get the Argentinians out. I can see why they'd be sore about the takeover fricking up so bad, but still.
that sounds like Zamba, yes you described it pretty well
Yep, that's the one I was thinking of, cheers.
It's honestly terrifying that some people actually buy into this shit.
Granted, it's probably aimed at children, but that's probably even worse than adults falling for it
The problem is much like the North Korean propaganda cartoon, it just makes anglos look like violent badasses. At least the Argie Dora the Explorer ripoff won't make you a furry though.
Amazing, an Argie who can objectively talk about the Falklands. I didn't think there were any.
It's a political issue more than anything, I'm Argie.
taking out the islands I still hate the British, what's more I think MANY countries hate the British more than anything for their arrogance and lack of "karma" for their actions
they have to live with British cuisine so many would consider that punishment enough. Also everyone who did those wrongs are long dead or dottering old fricks dying slowly in nursing homes. Koreans and Japanese are mostly cool with each other with that logic despite what is honestly pretty recent history and have more of a business rivalry than anything. Sure the circumstances leading to that are kinda unique but I think that's a good model for citizens of nations moving forward instead of just constant seething about the past
>Also everyone who did those wrongs are long dead or dottering old fricks dying slowly in nursing homes.
Yeah but their descendants are still living the good life of the "civilized world" at the expense of exploiting third world nations so the resentment is still lingering around.
>the good life of the "civilized world"
They are being demographically replaced by their colonies, most notably indians and pakis.
That kind of shit immediately kill any willingness to engage with them.
that is the best possible thought, besides who knows? international politics is something mysterious maybe in the future argentina and gb will be great friends
I am also an Argie and agree with him; most of the younger generation thinks like him too. Honestly, good for the people there that got the English Nationality, It kinds of sucks here, even if not as bad as some other south hemisphere places for the time being
You got to remember that, as you said, people don't actually really know much about Argentina nor the people that live there, this is a big country, you have snowy mountains, deserts, beaches, and jungles all included within. Plenty of people got very little contact with the whole situation and most of the population now got born after the facts.
Another interesting tidbit is that the dictatorship of the time was literally gifted to us by USA; no conspiration theory there, this was a known and verificable fact, they didn't want another socialist ally on the south; Videla thought the US would back him up when he started the war, which obviously wasn't sound thinking because the US dropped that hot potato when the Brits said "No, we do want those islands" and sided with them. Most of the actual army was defending from a posible attack from chile, hence all the kids not used to the cold sent to die in what they thought wouldn't be a fight.
It's pretty sad when you look at it that way, plenty of people died and the veterans were in worst state and more hated than Nam's; up until not that long ago you would see them, missing limbs and asking for change on dirty streets, now completly forgotten in favor of propaganda from some disgusting politicians.
>for the time being
At the rate food prices are increasing AF wont make it 2023.
>Another interesting tidbit is that the dictatorship of the time was literally gifted to us by USA
no, this was 100% homegrown, most of the military high command were peronists buddies who personally dined with the peron family and did the coup out of increasingly setentista paranoia.
the CIA literally made an intelligence report stating "these guys are delusional schizos who believe there's a communist conspiracy to take over the country"
>now completly forgotten in favor of propaganda from some disgusting politicians.
uwot? all active combatant vet have a pension.
>no, this was 100% homegrown, most of the military high command were peronists buddies who personally dined with the peron family and did the coup out of increasingly setentista paranoia.
>the CIA literally made an intelligence report stating "these guys are delusional schizos who believe there's a communist conspiracy to take over the country"
Anon, there is actual literal evidence and even people on the US know right now about the whole thing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Condor
Beyond the evidence, do you believe that by coincidence all the southern countries came to be under military order at the same time and right after the Cuban issue?
Now, that's a real conspiration theory; they literally used the body of Peron's wife as table. For whatever sick populist reason both Evita Peron and Doming Peron's bodies were taxidermized and when the military took over, they would show it and use it to show what they thought of them.
I mean, you can believe whatever you want, but there is massive evidence of what I am saying, and Peron was a socialist.
amego you are literally not reading the article you posted.
Just because the CIA knew about it doesn't mean it orchestrated it. Condor was homegrown.
Wanna know real CIA interference? Read the reports on Allende's and how they financed Chilean Syndicates to pull a general strike in Chile so he'd resign. They didn't even plan or expect pinochet to take over. And they did the same thing in Brazil 10 years prior.
But args and urus? 100% rioplatense autism.
Listen man, I don't care to convince you of anything, I mean, who gives a shit. Ultimately, it's kind of sad, but at the same time, it's silly.
This were people trained and sponsored by the US, don't wash their hands of the issue because it looks better like that.
It's not that suddenly it's all better because of how involved USA was or not, regardless, and neither as if whoever died there was less killed because of where he was born.
>This were people trained and sponsored by the US, don't wash their hands of the issue because it looks better like that.
>this meme again
next you are gonna tell me we used a world power because we paid workers the same salary as britain the 1910s.
I understand you sentiment but your understanding of is entirely rooted our country's boogeyman irredentism and setentista ideology.
I don't love my country man, nor do I idolize it, I just don't have any positive feelings for the US nor do I think it beyond logic after what happen in Cuba that it US would do something like that mid cold war.
If that's just too much and crazy, well, frick it, I must be nuts.
>uwot? all active combatant vet have a pension.
Most combatants are dead by now anon, but maybe you are not from Argentina or too young, because seeing a Vet missing a limb, dirty and trying to sell you tissues or some other shit.
Now all people see is the whole "Malvinas Argentinas Thing" rather than any real love for people that, in their youth, fought for a lost cause, died, eat human flesh, and came back hurt physically and mentally. The so called pension paid next to nothing.
>Most combatants are dead by now anon, but maybe you are not from Argentina or too young
... they are in their 60s. My dad's 58 and didn't get drafted straight out of school because of DNI
There weren't more than 2000 casualties in arg, most from the arg interior. Any disabled person you see in the streets claiming to be a bet is a poor beggar spinning you a story.
Lomas de Zamora recently completely remade their south buenos aires veterans center
I really don't know where you are pulling this data from m8 but it's 100% misplaced
>just because of geographical placement, as if that was reason enough
It is
Then why don't we have ownership of the islands, dumbfrick?
Even if that was the case, we lost a war over them. Do I need to explain to you in detail how when you lose a war over some territory, you also lose the territory?
>Then why don't we have ownership of the islands, dumbfrick?
Because britoids are Black folk
>g-guys people here are so dumb but I SWEAR IM NOT
>ówò
>O-Our land is totally yours, I'm one of the good ones!
I fricking hate pathetic homosexuals like you
Sneething
>guys people here are so dumb
did I struck a nerve?
Imagine going to die for a literal fricking wasteland filled with nothing but sheeps and being proud of it.
Is this comic unironically inspired by this video?
Normally I'd consider it too far-fetched to even propose the idea. But knowing the artist I wouldn't exactly be shocked.
Genuinely uncomfortable to watch
That's how to basic for ya
hot
That was hot
>i'm ready to settle now
>Women on their 18th birthday
No; likely it is because there was a meme going around not that long ago in which girls would watch chicken get slapped and stuffed and moan to it.
Ok, found one of those, but there were plenty. Some more fake looking that others.
Excuse the crappy "meme compilation" but it's what I found with a quick search.
what the frick
does the finger instantly make them picture masturbation?
That's the joke. It's like the one where a couple is watching a video of a girl in frumpy clothes cut to being in sexy clothes and the guy has to pretend it doesn't make him horny.
>Oil and chicken juice everywhere
>Stove, floor, and fricking bathroom
This would have been hellish to clean. We're talking half the day at least.
This just pissed me off, wasting food like that.
It is real, you don't learn just how to cook, but also basic home maintenance, fixing leaking pipes, how to put up a shelf or fix broken bed, some gardening. And also yes, teachers try to have groups of mixed pairs and have the disgusting habit of saying "imagine you are a husband and wife" which is extremely awkward if you get paired with your crush.
>teachers try to have groups of mixed pairs and have the disgusting habit of saying "imagine you are a husband and wife"
Based. Makes me want to be a teacher.
Based shipping teacher
>extremely awkward
only if she says "Ewww"
I went to that class... they after I made a wooden stool, battery puller, learned how to wire a light bulb, and weld a joint did I figure out that Home Economics in my school meant shop class.
No
we had home ecc at my school but all I remember them teaching us is Cooking and Sewing
I went to a comprehensive (here in England), it was a fortnightly 1 hour 40 lesson, mandatory for three years, in baking, developing recipes, food safety, etc. I'm continued to be surprised to hear it's not a common thing worldwide.
>Is home economy a real thing or just something you see in cartoons?
No.
BUT
We had this one time project on the final year of highschool that could've involved making chocolate (Or some pastry, can't remember) as one of the options to sell to family/friends/whoever and use the money to fund a trip at the end of the year, but it doubled as a project that was going to be graded, something about how to start a bussiness, if we had gone with the baking we would have to get a permit to sell that and i don't know if someone had to come to check the product didn't had a billion pubes inside
Anyway, my group was a bunch of lazy fricks (myself included) and we just end up making scarfs becouse we just thought it it was just a piece of fabric (can't remember the name of it, but it was cheap) with the logo of the school ironed in, we were wrong, we ended up making a bunch of ugly rags that we had to sell to all our known family/friends since we already took the money, probably the most embarasing moment of my life looking the the people's faces when delivering, im actually sorry for what i did
I ended up repeating the grade anyway so i guess it got what i deserved
from the thumbnail I thought that was cartoon zach galifianakis
It was a mandatory thing when I was a younggay. Mostly prepping, cooking, washing up and eating a meal. Cleaning, learning a bit about things we couldn’t do as school like laundry. Brought home a book that was about half assorted useful info and half easy recipes to get you started. Absolute trash. If you weren’t poor and therefore a moron you didn’t need it and the whole concept is viciously anti-business. Another reason MENA immigrants are a plague, poor people survival habits are anti-business and a direct attack on job creators. Fortunately it’s been eliminated. Unfortunately it’s been replaced by Islamic Studies, Performative Wokeism and Even Newer Math. The Day of the Rope is coming.
You're trying too hard, tryhard.
lmao how the frick is learning to maintain a home anti-busniess?
It's bait.
god, it's early.
it puts cleaning supplies companies out of business
Someone tending to a home requires someone be home and/or have enough money to own a home. It would be preferable to a megacorp that everyone spend their time at work being paid as little as possible
>Is home economy a real thing
Yes, at least in finland. We called it "kotitalous" it was part of 7th and 8th grades and apparently it's a thing in canada as well.
The two I had from different schools were basically sewing an cooking, pretty easy stuff.
Looks like we back
I remember being the top of the class and got made fun of for being a house husband 🙁
argentina and england are friends to enemies to lovers t. brit who loves argentina
Enjoy your vacation.
We mended clothes, cooked food, managed a budget, fake shopped for groceries, took care of a robot baby, did mock taxes, and practiced communication skills
None of which stuck with me when I was an adult
I remember taking it one year
The only things I remember from it were how to clean a sink with powdered bleach, and sewing a cushion.
I legitimately don't remember cooking anything there at all, I learned how to cook from my mom.
kek
I suddenly relate to the brute guy
You know Cinemaphile went to the shitter when there's no one left with the balls to post that whole comic
It doesn't take balls to post scat-furry-child porn. Just a lot of free time and strong stomach. Might as well spam threads with gore and real child porn if you are so inclined.
its real
it used to focus mostly on how to cook, but these days focuses more on how to make and keep a balanced budget
kek
What the frick are you people talking about?
The failings of the public education system.
People talking as if they're on Cinemaphile
why are these comics being posted so much here lately
Did mods really just janny a literal turkey getting stuffed.
i think only rich schools have it.
Nah, I went to a poor inner city middle school that regularly had girls getting pregnant and giving people blowjobs in the bathrooms and kids bringing knives to school and even there we had a home ec class.
1. Rich schools who can afford it.
2. Rural schools who has easy access to ingredients.
Cooking poultry makes hiromoot feel hot and bothered.
>actual practitioner
Louisiana bayou type or urbanite wiccan type?
Louisiana Style but I was picked. I need to go down to Haiti, head over to Africa to study the Old Tribes, Head over to France Maybe to see what I can find there and maybe go to Egypt. See the thing is, over time, you can kind of make this very interesting spiderweb of where Vodou comes from and where certain sources intersect. The religion which was originally the Ife Faith of the Diaspora and the Western Tribes, is what bled over into the Americas when the slaves were sold.
It's very interesting and very wholesome once you get past the Hollywood Vodou. Plus I am a Flordiaborn, got the Florida Waters in me.
>Flordia
Knew it.
curse of the Florida MAN?!?
>got the Florida Waters in me
Sounds like a euphemism for diarrhea.
It is, and because I was a terribly shy loser with absent parents in middle school I ended up having my teacher as a 'partner' and it gave me a life long milf fetish.
Man, these threads have the most random topics of discussion.
There ain’t much to talk about when it comes to the characters
They are pretty two dimensional
Hot
Yup
NTR arc when?
So you want him to frick that nerd right in front of her? Based.
What the...wasn't there a second page on here?
The mods deemed it too inappropriate.
No /wiener/ material allowed, too lewd for Cinemaphile alone
Real enough.
>not being taught to cook by your parents
Do anglos really?
>Mods deleted a guy stuffing a turkey
Holy SHIT. Holy fricking SHIT. IT'S A FRICKING TURKEY LMAO ARE YOU GUYS FRICKING moronic????
I thought it was a chicken.
It literally says turkey in the OP pic.
I mean, I am all for saying "That whole thing was stupid as frick" but I can't help think you must be quite young; I remember seeing the guys with the the veteran certificate and the stump showing just to try to get some attention. Like, I lived it.
Are you seriously trying to say "No, that must had been all fake"
>Are you seriously trying to say "No, that must had been all fake"
people faking being vets has made the news multiple times. mostly claiming to be active combatants (the legal qualifies for the pension).
I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it isn't the standard normal by any metric and the state of our vets is nowhere near comparable to vietnam's vets by the simple fact we had two months of active combat and only 2000 casualties, vast mayority of both simply returned to their mom and lived a poor wagie's life lke everyone else.
It's literally leftist revisionism because it was more convenient to blame the countries' awful social situation on foreigners than actually fix shit.
The CIA has actually misclassified most of their reports regarding spying/intelligence in south latam. All the info is there, including the actual interference performed.
It isn't "too crazy", it's factually wrong. I actually hate gringos but I aren't stupid enough to believe literal propaganda by morons stuck in the 70s.
Now if you excuse me I'm trying to understand what the frick is this home economy thing the anglos are talking about.
>It's literally leftist revisionism because it was more convenient to blame the countries' awful social situation on foreigners than actually fix shit.
I don't think one thing changes the other, really; is not that the US being more or less involved would do anything to the actual matter at hand. I am not blind to the shit that was going on before the military took over, and many people would tell you that for all the crap, some stuff got better, with how bad it had been; nor do
I think USA should take blame from the dictatorship actions, but again, one thing doesn't change anything of the other, and it's hardly "factually wrong" just because you think so; even taking a step back on everything, lack of evidence is not evidence of anything. I never said "they were puppets of USA" either, if that's what you took from it, and I do have family that went to war and came back like shit. One of my uncles ended up with a psychotic break and lived the rest of his life under medication, getting by due to suing the army when that was feasible.
Most stuff I have read about this subject has mention of what I said at the start; The US backed the military taking over; Videla thought USA would back him up, which is as far as went with that at the start.
I can agree to disagree with you on the rest, and stop derailing the thread further.
Also, home economics does exist in this country, just with other names and mostly in private schools. I didn't go to a private school, I just know people that did
>The US backed the military taking over
the US saying "i don't care as long as you are not communist" is not exactly backing
Videla did not, an in fact basically laughed his ass off when Galtieri's high command consulted him on starting the war.
>Galtieri
Now, this is an honest mistake on my part, I just went ahead talking about Videla. I think, again, we are going to have to agree to disagree with the rest.
It was real but at the age most kids take that class they're too spastic to appreciate it. I remember just trying to behave and be nice to the little black grandma they hired to teach the class, she was nice.
Share your darkest dreams with us, Cinemaphile
Spoiler just in case jannies didn't bother opening it (not the real pic) before sending me on a vacation.
You c**t, I spat on my screen.
yes, but my teacher was shit, and the entire class was pretty much "read the directions Lmao".
It was called "Family and consumer education" when I was a kid, or FACE.
Essentially the same thing but with a different name to avoid connotations of stereotypes and such.
What's that stuffing, cheese with basil?
It's PISS
Home econ is literally the only class I actually felt like I learned anything useful in. Learned to cook which is a skill I still use daily and learned CPR that could save someone's life one day. Every single other class was stuff I already knew, knew was completely useless or stuff I'd only need to know for a career I wasn't going to have. Never got taught how to do anything else important like open a bank account or drive of course.
>learned CPR
We learned that in PE.
Our home ex class was just a filler class that the teacher gave you an A for simply showing up.
Didn't learn anything at all in it, and there would be weeks at a time where we would just be sitting around doing nothing while the teacher was on her phone or "taking care of something" out of class
Its a real thing in a lot of european junior high schools. Mostly its just learning how to bake bread and how to gut a fish.
I just...I just wanna stick my nose in it and huff.
It's not fair!
diamonds
He didn't peek, he just gets turned on being bullied by her now.
If you didn't go to a shit school then yes
I was a fricking dumass c**t so I did in hi school, Had to teach me not to burn water
I had it.
I like this guy's art but he has a real problem with constantly introducing characters and setups that never seem to go anywhere before he drops them and starts on something else; I don't know if its something to do with the "Twitter artist" mindset or whatever but the guy just can't seem to commit to anything for very long
It's just artists in general. Can't tell you how many times i've seen a R34 artist who starts a lewd comic that looks like it's gonna be amazing and it never gets finished cause they decided to move onto something else. Same thing here with his concepts and ideas. Plays with them for a while, does his whole character design thing he likes so much and once that gets old, does something else.
I feel like I'd enjoy these more if the artist didn't self-insert himself as "Tough Macho Quiet Guy" every setting he does
He kinda looks like his self inserts, but of course he puts himself in a way better light than he would be in real life. He's fricking buff, but I doubt he's as confident as he likes to portray in the comics, or that he has much interaction with wymyn in general. Still, seems like a cool guy to hang around. Certainly wouldn't be afraid of anyone if I had him on my side.
he has a big titty goth gf; he's pretty much a 1:1 of his self inserts
Where can I look up pictures of this "big tiddy goth gf", for research purposes?
source?
I had it in middle school. Shit was comfy as frick.
We didn't have it in my school.
HomeEc was real when I was in school.
Girls took it. Cooking, sewing, etc.
Boys took shop. Planes, band saws, lathes, wood glue.
I enjoy watching the DIY videos on Facebook and YouTube, but I don't have the equipment Norm Abrams does.
Whereas I DO need to cook and do minor clothing repairs.
In other words, HomeEc would have been much more useful.
>empathize with these bad people because they're the protagonists and quirky~!
no, sorry.
Are we talking about education in this thread? I teach at a nonpublic school for students with disabilities. Most of our students are somewhere on the autism spectrum, but we program for all students whose "home schools" can't manage their symptoms well enough to provide services. Ask me (almost) anything.
By the way, where are you reading this?

What's the name of the Twitter?
