Not that I know of
ill go ahead and list a few
based pick
not even his comfiest
based
definitely his two shittiest movies
jackie brown is at least somewhat watchable, though
Pam Grier was too old and gross by 97 for this one to really work imo.
Pic related is my comfy film.
One of the themes of the movie is about getting old, what the frick?
>Pam Grier was too old and gross to play someone aged out of the game and falling in love with someone else old and gross
People like you should drowned.
Among the shittiest takes I’ve ever heard.
Get your eyes examined, anon
dumbest take on this board in a long time and this board is lousy with dumb takes
Stfu, Sony shills
Sony only makes bad movies and that movie has nothing to do with Sony.
Yes
haven't watched this film yet. looks good
Too bad it's lost on most of the thirdies and europoors on this site that have gotten so irrationally hostile towards baseball.
this is good because it's dazed & confused but a year later
4yrs*
Based. This and Dazed and Confused are on my Summer Watchlist.
For real. Watched it with my son today. Wish there were more films like this.
this
I wish I joined my school's baseball team instead of a frat
literally just a movie about chads getting pussy and it's fricking kino
>that one token BIPOC
kek
kino blazing scene
This somehow completely failed to feel like 1980 despite forcing in every One Hit Wonder sing from that time period.
It feels and looks like 2016, and all the characters act like millenials in tight shirts instead of young boomers.
I watched this while thoroughly high. Great experience
Same, last weekend actually. Did The Hateful Eight 2 weeks ago. Kino
inherent vice
not a bad pick
if you're a depressed frickup maybe
Takin it off hea boss
these are some pretty great picks
Well regarded yet still underrated generally
based. good pick
fricking based
I love that they tried to keep the real creature a secret even on the cover and just pretend the mouth tentacles are the threat
Wo.f on wall street
this post is so money and it doesn't even know it
In all seriousness, nothing makes me as nostalgic as this film. It almost hurts.
I used to go to the bar in Los Felix where they filmed this at. It’s called the Dresden and feels like you wandered into old Hollywood. Good times.
this movie saved me. saw it after a bad breakup and was heading towards a downward spiral. saw this movie and 3 days later was gaming chicks getting numbers with ease, holds a special place in my heart
TMNT is peak comfy
I really wish I liked this movie. I should like it. I love '80s action/adventure movies, I love fantasy effects movies, I love Carpenter, I love Kurt Russell, I love Kim Cattrall, but whenever I watch it I'm bored shitless. It feels like a meme movie to me and I'm only convinced people like it because it ticks all the boxes of resembling a good movie without actually being one.
You're not the only one, it's all there on paper but there is something wrong with the execution
This is my favorite bad movie. I ran a D&D campaign based on it once too
Peak comfy
Why does the poster show a green field when the entire movie takes place during a snowy winter?
Did you pick the wrong image? That shit movie sure isn't "comfy", watching it would be torture
its maximum comfy, the only tarantino that really qualifies
Nice
Also this
Very comfy "chick flick". I also enjoyed the Lake House.
Based
Comfy kino nostalgia.
Trash
Based
Cringe
You like lost in translation lol
Good picks
and Satan's pick, goes without saying
based. underrated western
This and Tremors are so far the only ones to make me go 'Damn, that really was comfy'.
>i am going to get into mah boat and go up reever, and kick bison's ass so hard! The next bison wanna be is gonna feel eet.
Frick yeah this shit rules. Might as well add picrel to that category
I didnt know you like to get wet. You know, wet... Ill, sherm, butt-naked.... PCP
I still haven't seen this, is it actually good or is this sarcasm
based
I'm normally down for watching older-than-me Sandler era comedy movies, but Tommy Boy was just so fricking boring and unfunny to me.
my favorite comedy. so comfy
this shit is boring
My man
she was way too qt
a roast beef on a hard roll
One of the most underrated comedies of all time
How is this comfy? The heroes lose.
My pick too. Absolute comfy kino
came here to post this.
His best film, it was all downhill from here
>1996
Yeah it really was. First tried the internet then
based af take. my assessment as well after going through his filmography. its his most comfy
KEEP UP THE INTENSITY
what the frick was his problem?
not comfy, got me into catharsis kek
This is the comfiest.
This
this movie gives me a weird vibe
hmm... I wonder why... what could possibly be the reason...
one of the comfiest movies of all time. which is surprising considering the subject matter.
this tbh
Licorice Pizza comes close, but it wouldn’t exist without once upon a time.
yeah nothing says comfy like indian death cult. I swear you morons don’t know what comfy means. Pro tip, it’s not nostalgia
Frick off homosexual I bet you like kingdom of the crystal skull.
>indian death cult.
oh, you mean the guy with the secret escape hatch like a bond villian? you're taking it way too seriously. temple of doom is fricking awesome. best indiana jones for sure
>yeah nothing says comfy like indian death cult.
or a chink child actor
All those late 90s/early 2000s chad slashers that were just young starlets with their breasts out and jock type dudes going at it with killers.
Based. These are my favorite too.
fricking underrated in the EXTREME my man
seconded
>Tarantula makes intense violent film after intense violent film
>His best movie ends up following three people run errands for a day
What did he mean by this?
i miss nielsen like you dont have idea
>le comfy!
stop trying to fit in, moron. Youre outing yourself
Oceans 11
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Catch me if you Can
Are peak comfycore for me
>Oceans 11
based. great pick
Yeah, this one
That movie is a miserable nightmare that reminds you of how horrible the world is, it's the antithesis of comfy
I've been playing this every night I go to sleep for the past 15 years.
Can't fall asleep without it.
It's my comfy.
Xenophon's Anabasis: The Movie.
>mogs your childhood nostalgia
There was once as a kid I watched that movie three times in a day
For me, that's - unironically - Howard the Duck.
Pic unrelated?
Reservoir Dogs is his only good movie.
we're talking about which movies are comfy, not "the best". lurk more!
If a movie is not good then it ain't comfy either.
Pic related is comfy
>If a movie is not good then it ain't comfy either.
not true at all. plenty of mediocre films are comfy.
Instead of trying to compensate for a lack of personality via hostility just post your comfy movie. Big Fish is a great choice one of my favourite films to watch
Too bad, Cinemaphile would b***h about this film if it was made today. Especially over the scene where Martin Lawrence fricks the white princess
Scroll the whole thread and no rush hour 2
do yall even comfy?
my homie
The first two rush hour films are essential comfy core
pretty much the perfect adventure movie. comfy as heck
this filtered me
this movie has surprisingly not aged that well. some of the acting and a lot of the dialog is very corny. it also drags in spots. laura san giacomo could be completely edited out of the movie and it would be much better for it. selleck and rickman are great though. boomers love it because it was one of the first western revival movies of the 90s, but it's really about 30 minutes too long
the best baseball movie ever. boomers can keep their field of dreams garbage. if the mlb wanted to impress me they'd have a sandlot game
for me its
grow up
never.
ever.
>smarmy israelite is... le smarmy israelite! the film
nah
still no Stand By Me yet? my guilty pleasure when I'm sick or laid up is Jurassic Park III as well no idea why
Rewatched SBM last night, comfy nostalgia tears bro, deadass no cap.
Stand by me is kinda depressing
>I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve
It might not have been 12 for me, but damn, you dont have friends as an adult like you did when you were young.
It just gets worse with age untill your boss is the closest thing to a friend you have.
Just because of the very last line?
Only thing that annoyed me was that acid is highly temperature sensitive, that cigarette wouldn't have done shit
unless it was PCP instead of acid, pretty typical back then
That would light your fire for sure. Still he didn't dismember the hippys with his bare hands so it was def meant to be acid in the movie
>Still he didn't dismember the hippys with his bare hands
i mean that would've been more overkill than what was shown, but realistically, i think it was pretty accurate. like taking that chicks face and pounding it and not stopping. acid wouldnt make you do that.
He was a bad dude man. Korea was a hell of a war. Your brain's gonna be fricked after a hell like that
This is a good one.
disturbia is more comfy
I actually enjoyed this film ngl
The Goonies will always be number 1 for me
It was boring and edited like a Family Giy episode.
Good call, I liked picrel too, comfy Hawaii location
Same vein as Once upon a Time in Hollywood to me.
its lethal weapon 1 but good
Lethal weapon has gibson, which is always a plus, but the nice guys is just so rewatchable. Not as quotable as ouatih, but still great.
Lethal Weapon is one of the best action movies every made. wtf is wrong with you homosexual?
it sucks dick, the sequels are better
never understood the love for that movie its genuinely one of the worst films ive seen, such bad pacing and shitty action
that fricking raining leg choke scene is when i turned it off the first time i tried to watch it
based
Based
Nice Guys is gay as frick.
>LOL talking bee dude
Based. That movie and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are both kino of the highest order and anyone who disagrees is either a contrarian or a transexual
>Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
very similar to nice guys, down to the minute details (even crippling your main character in the beginning), its just down to which characters you like more, I like both, I just watch the nice guys more often.
They're both just so quotable.
>I was questioning the mermaids!
>Sorry to all the good people in the midwest for saying "frick" so much!
>Well, for starters, she's been fricked more times than she's had a hot meal.
>Yeah, I heard about that. It was neck-and-neck and then she skipped lunch.
Not a quote, but the "rotary fracture of the radius" scene is probably the most realistic Ive ever seen a man get his arm broken, down to the noise Gosling made. Funny thing for a comedy to accomplish.
KKBB has better dialogue but Nice Guys has the advantage of being a period piece. 70's LA is way more comfy than the sterile early 00's.
Setting is a big factor in "comfyness" level, see OP for an example. i dont think Id like it as much if it was set in modern day LA, even if the story would still somewhat work.
Lost count of how many times i've seen it
*blocks your path*
These plus Sherlock Holmes.
Lock Stock>Snatch
Both are great though
This one with Dan whatshisname
this guy's entire filmography really
What’s his last film gonna be about? Is it really gonna be the last one you think?
Non meme answer is 'Love Exposure' its ironically super comfy considering that its 4 hours long. I used to watch it if I ran out of smokes
Movie was inspired by pic related so I hope you've all seen it
Uh, no it wasn’t? He said it was inspired by home invasion movies.
No, he said the hangout vibe was inspired by rio bravo and more specifically this scene
wow, one scene. congrats you broke the code. he says rio bravo inspired every film he made. its not specific to hollywood, except maybe the fact rick does western movies maybe
>calls rio bravo the ultimate hang out movie
>creates movie that only works because it's about cool actors hanging out
I don't know why you are upset. It's pretty 1:1
he called good and the bad and the ugly the ultimate hangout movie too, so what? i dont know what you dont want to accept the fact its not the main influence just cus its one of his top 3 films
Great movie. I find most John Wayne movies comfy
this sucked lol
felt like a shitty Lynch film for plebs
Hot fuzz
the brancaleone duology
There's a comfier show, Columbo!
peak comfy
What are essential qualities for a kino to be considered comfy?
This is literally a nightmare in movie form, nothing comfy about that.
4u
Midnight Run is the comfiest film
Just 2 guys building a wall
comfiest and most rewatchable movie I've seen in a long time
>rewatchable
already watched it twice and probably will a million more times
sorry to hear that
no need to feel sorry, it's just comfy
i havent even seen it and i know thats wrong
Is it as israelitey as it looks?
I always wanted to be like dj
>have a good friend and eventually a girl as a friend
>be left home alone essentially
>fight a monster house and destroy it
kino
I enjoyed this movie but frick the art style is so god damned ugly
Really admire the balls on QT to get the biggest A listers in Hollywood and make his biggest budget movie yet, a plotless hangout movie. Any other director who would try this shit would get gutted by their producers.
This is comfier
The Big Lebowski and The Big Chill are the comfiest films for me.
Licorice Pizza, the superior 70s California comfy slice of life
Yes even Spider-Man 3
2 is the only good one
Based. I suggest you watching the editor cut of SM3, a much better cut released by Sony in 2017
Yes
The scene with them watching the FBI show is superb comfy.
when people talk about sequels that are better than the original they never bring up this one
Surprised to not see this here
for me, it's The ring (2002)
I really like how eerie this movie is.
Comfy for rainy days.
>B-but the Japanese version is better
nope
