The fat clown guy is so hot and gave me a fat guy fetish as a kid. Only ever found one fat daddy clown to frick me though. He called himself Bimbo Jones
How is House of 1000 Corpses nihilistic? It's a fun campy horror movie. It's more optimistic than the modern trauma/grief porn crap they try to pass off as horror.
Zombie's stuff is edgy, but it's edgy in a fun way.
Yeah, but I prefer House of 1000 Corpses. Also watch Spider Baby, a major influence on Zombie's films and also starring Sid Haig.
Wrong >house of 1000 corpses >the devil's rejects >the lords of salem
All good. His Halloween duology is also worth watching because a lot of people love it and a lot of people hate it. It's divisive but not shit.
Watch House Of A Thousand Corpses and then The Devil’s Rejects. The first movie sets up the characters and backstory for you and it’s fun but The Devil’s Rejects is the better movie. And whatever you do don’t watch any other movies made by Rob Zombie because they’re awful.
Lords of Salem is alright. it's not amazing but it's not cliched, worth a watch at least. everything's some found footage jumpscare slasher bullshit so something that takes more after stuff like The Shining and Rosemary's Baby is nice.
this movie is such a piece of shit but it's purely self indulgent pissing away studio money on something he made for himself, genuinely one of the most gigachad moves by a filmmaker in the last decade.
it's aged really well. kinda took it for granted back in that era of edge but man it's heads and shoulders above most everything the last 6+ years are so. really incredible production value and locations that give it that gonzo visceral quality that feels dirty and horrific initself. the hills have eyes inspired southern trash aesthetic really works for horror and the characters live and breathe it, they're so memorable and feel dangerous
>the last 6+ years are so.
i'd say even more. if Hollywood today tried to do "horror movie from the perspective of the killer" it'd be some le subversive marxist bullshit. this is just a raw look at what a movie like that would really be. Rob Zombie is like one of the few guys that could wholeheartedly pull that off because his entire life and aesthetic is 70s serial killer.
Almost every older movie looks better when compared to today's low effort crap. Zombie's movies definitely seem better now than they did when they came out, you can feel the passion.
How many times do the characters drop "shit butthole dick frick"? I'm not a prude or anything, but the amount of fricking swearing in his movies is mindbogglingly detrimental. I cannot take your bad guy seriously when he talks about fricking pussy and shitting his pants, Rob. The dialogue is like a middle school locker room
You some kind of frickin queer than cant handle a little frickin swearing you piece of shit? FRICK YOU
Motherfricks in this fricking shithole try to act like their pussy asses can't handle some wienersuckin' swearin', you fricking homosexuals ass queer Black person homosexual pieces of rotten shit! You frickin' mother is a rotten prostitute bawd b***h c**t! You frickers need to man the frick up and start frickin' learning to swear like a god damn motherfrickin' man! You little frickin' homosexual pussay azz mothafrickas! God fricking damn it, how the frick do you stupid c**ts not like frickin' swearing!? FRICK YOU b***hES YOU STUPID ASS c**tS! FRICK YOU!
something about zombie's redneck pastiche has always left me cold. it's just such a spot-on stereotype it verges on satire even though it's not supposed to be. harmony korine did the same thing but played to a more affluent cultural consumer. i guess i'd prefer to see redneck horror made by actual rednecks, not some guy who went to art school in brooklyn
he was brought up on that kind of redneck outsider art and seems to be drawn to it, to me it feels genuine, he really embroils himself in that aesthetic and lifestyle 100%. it's not just some schtick he did to grift rubes, he really loves this stuff, it's authentic.
Yes, not as good as house of 1000 corpses though.
Yes . It's better than House Of A Thousand Corpses.
How DARE you contradict me
The fat clown guy is so hot and gave me a fat guy fetish as a kid. Only ever found one fat daddy clown to frick me though. He called himself Bimbo Jones
Rob Zombie has never made a good movie
>Getting filtered by The Devil's Rejects
Lmao
I saw him live like 10 years ago and he played Elfen Lied videos in the background while performing.
His later work really shat all over his earlier movies.
I watched his stuff when it first came out when I was like 15, and even then it seemed like pointlessly nihilistic grim dark crap for edgelords
>The movie is edgy therefore it's le bad!
Why are redditors like this?

The whole series is kino even the third one.
Third one just felt like a copy paste of devils rejects
Yeah but it has Richard Brake in it, therefore it’s better
Rob Zombies best movie. watch Thousand Corpses first though, it's great too but Rejects just has a really unique perspective.

It's pretty good
Yes, House of a Thousand Corpses is good too. Also do not watch Three From Hell, it retroactively ruins the kino of Rejects.
every single rob zombie character speaks with the same voice and i doubt bobby can imagine the red apple
>The same voice? The same frickin' voice? What the frick do you mean the same frickin' voice?!
>What are you gonna do? What the FRICK are you gonna do?
Love the dialogue lol
Who exactly was the target audience for this?
Robert Zombie
this movie is such a piece of shit but it's purely self indulgent pissing away studio money on something he made for himself, genuinely one of the most gigachad moves by a filmmaker in the last decade.
Me
I forgot this existed. Gonna assume it's shit

ok, this convinced me to watch it (again after many years)
>the last 6+ years are so.

>horror movie from the perspective of the killer
my favorite is the maniac remake, in part because of that ost
Almost every older movie looks better when compared to today's low effort crap. Zombie's movies definitely seem better now than they did when they came out, you can feel the passion.
The Devil's Rejects > Halloween II > House of 1000 Corpses > Halloween > Lords of Salem >>>>> 31 > 3 From Hell >>>>>>>>>> The Munsters

>its another rob zombie casts his favorite actors from the 70's and his stupid wife again, with no plot and music montages.
>DUDE
>LIKE DUDE
>THE 70s DUDE
>DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT DUDE
>LIKE THE 70S DUDE
>THEY WERE A THING LOL
name bigger hacks than these two
