this anon is a moron who didn't see the movie. there's a 30 second sex scene that Kitty imagines happens between Oppenheimer and Jean Tatlock as he's describing it at a security clearance hearing
the sex scene is three hours long with brief flashbacks to moments at los alamos and climaxes as Oppenheimer shouts JEAN I'M EXPLODING INTO YOUR vegana and cuts to a shot of nukes causing the entire world to explode
The smartest reason to not watch a movie. I watched maybe a dozen films in my life that really needed more than 1:40 it's some modern marketing strategy bullshit to make a slop longer with each year.
Not just 3 hours, but 3 hours of boring Nolan dialogue, zero emotion, and a complete snore from start ro finish. Oh, but it's shot nicely and some performances are good, so I guess that justifies it's existence?
What really solidifies it is the 9/10 for all critics and top critics. And it’s 96 on Metacritic. Unless it drop’s significantly, it’ll be Nolan’s highest rated film.
This review reads like it was written by Chat-GPT. The lack of concrete details (he says there are historical innacuracies but doesn't name any of them and in fact doesn't actually reference anything that happened in the film at all, just talks vaguely about "the performance was uninspiring" etc.) is suspicious, like someone told Chat gpt to write a 1 star review of Oppenheimer
This is incorrect. First, confirmed that it’s bad and one of the worst films released this year. Second, critics also rated Barbie highly, and it’s woke pro-trans garbage that stands against everything we worked so hard for in the Cinemaphile movement. Boycott BOTH films.
>director seemed more interested in showcasing their supposed artistic vision >felt like Nolan asked his friends to be in a movie
Peak vanitykino incoming.
Black lead but thematically not pozzed. I mean a black lead/co-lead automatically doesn't make something pozzed(lethal weapon, Rush hour, Independence day)
>A scene where they don't leave the room
I actually read some comments elsewhere of people saying they weren't going to see it because of... something about a bug in a room? What happens that's so egregious?
Barbie. All of the comedic marketing was misleading as frick and the actual movie is literally about Barbie fighting the patriarchy. It's not even something that's just implied, it's stated outright throughout the movie.
It was forgotten the week after oscars. The one good thing that came out of it was that it tanked the ratings of Oscars so badly that they now nominate films that people have at least seen.
God I fricking hate that movie and all the bullshit praise it got. It's like they are Marxists who believe in labor theroy of value and that since it took a long time to make it must be good.
> Lectures
The gall of this homosexual. Barbie was one of the most preachy films of all time, I guess lecturing in cinema is O.K if it's about feminism.
They refused to review the last two Nolan movies, what makes you think they'll review this one? They always do the opposite what the fans want just to spite them.
Warner Bros really let him go on the project he’ll get his first best picture win for and that will be another Nolan box office smash. What fricking morons. They could of had Barbie & Oppenheimer cash flow, and good lord did they need both with all the DC box office bombs draining all their earnings
>What a coincidence this and Barbie are getting incredible scores as the theater industry is dying
Whats the coincidence? They're both filmmakers who've made movies that get high scores, take your meds you giant homosexual
Confirmed literal overrated reddit dogshit like I knew it would be. Nolan could shit out the most unemotional piece of shit movie and it could get him a best director oscar. he might with this garbage movie because everyone doubles down on him being jesus and wont just fricking drop the schtick already
Just saw it.
There's 2 movies wrapped into one:
Student days followed by the "gadget" project and a Mccarthy style hearing/deposition. Both of them are intertwined.
The plot structure is a complete rip off of the social network.
The Mccarthy style guys are trying to railroad Oppie for being too close to commies. The big architect of this plot to sideline Oppie from US politics gets blown the frick out and is portrayed as a jealous striver manipulating the gov machine to bring down the morally superior commie sympathizer (Oppie).
He cheats on his conservative wife with his commie mistress.
RDJ plays a bit more subdued at first but by the time it's revealed he's this machine politician he goes full RDJ.
The film is softly pozzed:
The expert scientists vs evil nat sec politicians and army guys.
Commies vs evil right wingers.
Evil people who wants the bomb to defend their country and save the boys from a massacre vs the morally superior "noo it's wrong!".
The movie is too long, way too "we need a worldwide governance to control the bombs".
Matt Damon as the army guy is surprisingly extremely based and keeps threatening to execute the soft scientists for breaking security protocol.
Sex scene wasn't long at all but it's pretty graphic. (and there's a call back to it a bit later). Very few bomb images (1/3 of them are in the trailer). Black and white back and forth was stupid.
6/10.
i may see it again
>3 hours
Not gonna watch it.
It’s 3 hours with a 30 minute sex scene.
I wonder how Nolan could have trimmed the fat.
i hope the sex scene is crosscut with the bomb tests
It is and its fricking cringe. I found the movie incredibly boring and uninteresting
this anon is a moron who didn't see the movie. there's a 30 second sex scene that Kitty imagines happens between Oppenheimer and Jean Tatlock as he's describing it at a security clearance hearing

I would watch this and film the theater experience to see how long it would take before people began walking out.
dumbest reason not to watch a movie
The smartest reason to not watch a movie. I watched maybe a dozen films in my life that really needed more than 1:40 it's some modern marketing strategy bullshit to make a slop longer with each year.
This. I can barely marathon a 90 minute film, much less a 3 hour film
Just buy three IMAX tickets and watch it in parts over 3 days. It will be just like a mini series.
Not just 3 hours, but 3 hours of boring Nolan dialogue, zero emotion, and a complete snore from start ro finish. Oh, but it's shot nicely and some performances are good, so I guess that justifies it's existence?
>shot nicely
>boring Nolan shit
I wish people would stop using the phrase "shot nicely" when there's nothing interesting or new about what's on screen
Man your contrarianism makes you so cool and edgy
Movies recently are too fricking long. Nothing wrong with a 95 minute runtime
top pleb
Who?
>9/10 average rating
DAMN
9.1/10 now, with 92 MC.
Absolute kino.
>critics and ratings are le good now
kys
What really solidifies it is the 9/10 for all critics and top critics. And it’s 96 on Metacritic. Unless it drop’s significantly, it’ll be Nolan’s highest rated film.
Dunkirk started at 98 on metacritic and dropped to 94. I think this will settle around 88 to 90.
Called it.
It's gone up from 96% to 97%, though.
And Dunkirk was boring garbage.

Fake news
Reviewers are bought and paid for
I'm waiting for Jak and pepe reviews to come in
>when the critics ratings are high, it's pozzed woke garbage
>except now
Huh?
Non feminist movies don't get free extra points
>Nolan
>not a female
Probably because Nolan has never made pozzed, woke garbage. He's made shit films for sure but never pozzed woke shit.
tenet?
Black lead but thematically not pozzed. I mean a black lead/co-lead automatically doesn't make something pozzed(lethal weapon, Rush hour, Independence day)
Oh no
>I had high expectations for this renowned financial institution
AI generated garbage is getting funnier every time.
>A scene where they don't leave the room
I actually read some comments elsewhere of people saying they weren't going to see it because of... something about a bug in a room? What happens that's so egregious?
It’s just that I expected more from a renowned financial institution is all
>watching Floppenheimer
Nah
NNNNOOOO BARBIEBROS!!!
NO BIG BOOM
literally 3 hours of sweaty nerds and one painfully long sex scene
Cinemaphile shitposts were better film features
there is no long sex scene you fricking liar
it's only 30 seconds.
>magnificent
>joins the ranks of Christopher Nolan's best work
>masterfully constructed
>a breathtaking piece of cinema
Nolanbros, we are so back
Will this be the Zoomer version of The Social Network? Which piece of crap is it going to lose the Oscar to?
What's the wokest shit coming out this year?
Anything in the vein of EEAAO?
Barbie. All of the comedic marketing was misleading as frick and the actual movie is literally about Barbie fighting the patriarchy. It's not even something that's just implied, it's stated outright throughout the movie.
I sincerely hope it sees a massive week 2 dive once word gets out.
Barbie by far
Joy Ride
Barbie or some indie shit about racism.
>Nobel peace prize for his work on Cosmic Rays
>His peace prize wasn't for peace?
Wew.
>a chapter of history that might feel ancient
>not even 80 years ago
I hate zoomers so fricking much.
Dunkirk remains as Nolan's highest metacritic with 95/100
Holy shit... That metacritic score. Is this the best reviewed film of all time? I'm fricking shaking right now.
It didn't take 12 years to make, so no.
Does anyone even care about this movie anymore?
It was forgotten the week after oscars. The one good thing that came out of it was that it tanked the ratings of Oscars so badly that they now nominate films that people have at least seen.
>that they now nominate films that people have at least seen
Are you sure? They seem to have gotten worse in nominating obscure shit no one outside of film snobs care about.
I mean - did the general public even know shit like CODA, Power of the Dog, Nomadland, etc existed?
2021 was a COVID year, so not exactly a standard situation.
God I fricking hate that movie and all the bullshit praise it got. It's like they are Marxists who believe in labor theroy of value and that since it took a long time to make it must be good.
It's not even the best reviewed of the year, but it's still an amazing rating.
Rare for big movies, too. 90+ tends to be reserved for arty indie darlings.
Not even top 100
>https://www.metacritic.com/browse/movies/score/metascore/all/filtered?sort=desc
yes.. unbeatable classics like "moonlight"
I'm actually surprised the list isn't as pozzed as I expected. Yeah "Moonlight" and "I am Not your Black" are there but it seems alright otherwise.
I didn't see Black Panther or Get Out on there, either, and I expected them to be given how much people sucked them off.
Moonlight was a great movie, brainlet. I’m sure you didn’t watch it.
Older movies are overrated
He's a barbie guy.
Yeah, I knew that gay and that other gay Ehrlich would bring the score down.

The gall of this homosexual. Barbie was one of the most preachy films of all time, I guess lecturing in cinema is O.K if it's about feminism.
is this the beginning of the MCU (Manhattan Cinematic Universe)?
How much is Feynman in it?
Wait... we're respecting critics' opinions again? I didn't get the memo.
Some anon posted this in some thread
>95 RT critic (average 8.5/10)
>92 RT audience
>84 metacritic
>Remember this
1 review I bet
Yeah it's down to 90 with 47 probably settles in around 85
it has 97 with 63 reviews moron
Other anon was talking about Metacritic
the metascore is now below 90. it is so over...
It's at 90 with 47 reviews.
>heavily promoted movie about israeli scientist in nazi era doing well with critics
whoa
>child fricking troony israelite leftists like it
This does not bode well. How much "white man bad" is it going to have?
Oppenkino!
is the hiroshima bombing in the movie?
no, but there are naked men
Saw it, don't believe the reviews. It's not kino
Let me guess, you were ~~*bored*~~
Based Nolan accepting the Bhagwat Geeta to be the supreme text.
>Rotten Tomatoes
Who cares
>Metacritic
Irrelevant
The only opinions that matter are Red Letter Media's
They don't watch new movies anymore
They refused to review the last two Nolan movies, what makes you think they'll review this one? They always do the opposite what the fans want just to spite them.
They said they would.
Barbiesisters...
Grace hated it, so you know it's good
Warner Bros really let him go on the project he’ll get his first best picture win for and that will be another Nolan box office smash. What fricking morons. They could of had Barbie & Oppenheimer cash flow, and good lord did they need both with all the DC box office bombs draining all their earnings
>96%
confirmed woke goyslop. I was gonna watch it but now i won't even torrent this crap
More like confirmed flop.
The last kino that will ever be made
But it's boring and pointless
What a coincidence this and Barbie are getting incredible scores as the theater industry is dying
>What a coincidence this and Barbie are getting incredible scores as the theater industry is dying
Whats the coincidence? They're both filmmakers who've made movies that get high scores, take your meds you giant homosexual

she sounds really disappointed by the lack of nuked japs
Use of "&" aside, she seems smart enough
She's literally based and not some circlejerking pleb like the lot of you and most critics.
Nolan can try, but the biggest movie bomb of the year will still be The Flash
its nolan. all his films are 7/10 nothingness.
>History
>biopic for plebs
>hackolan

A movie about the israelite that gave the world 1000 new types of cancer, can't wait.
Barbie feminazis BTFO
no shit, I knew this the moment I saw the trailer at Avatar 2
>Cinemaphile now thinks RT matters because it's a Nolan movie
Sure is reddit in here
I genuinely don't understand what I'm seeing in this thread. Is there some epic new meme to hate nolan
Just saw it.

6/10.
Why does a film about a sperg scientist man need a sex scene?
because it was an important part of his personal life and led to his downfall?
because sex is a natural part of life?
>Oppenheimer
>downfall
Didnt he make the bomb and then just kept being a scientist?
>Sex scene wasn't long at all but it's pretty graphic.
How graphic are we talking here?
Full breasts. She grinds on him in both scenes.
The editing in the second sex scene implies the interrogators want him vulnerable.
