It's funny that the most acclaimed space sci-fi from the 10s(Gravity) is the least talked about

Critics like theme park rides just as much as MCU fans. They just like them to have above average production values and a recognizable "auteur" behind the wheel.

Between 50% and 75% is the sweet spot. I'm highly suspicious of anything above that, and films below are usually garbage.

100% correct. less than 60% means it's probably bad, between 60-85% means it's probably good, but beware of getting filtere. 85%+ means it's either actually a great film or popcorn brain rot.

If that's true then why didn't Ad Astra score higher?

Ad Astra and Gravity are equally irrelevant I'd say. Although, it has some cult following like Sunshine.

It’s all about woke points. Critics gave woke points to Gravity because Sandra Bullock is a woman, and they gave woke points to Black Panther because that black guy was a black guy.

Gravity was great and stunning on an IMAX screen. The problem with it is Sandra Bullock's acting is extremely annoying in many scenes. But aside from that, it's a very good movie.

All four of those are mediocre unfortunately. All though Gravity is the only movie which i saw in cinema that had actually good 3d effects.

    1) Gravity
    2) the martian
    3) ad Astra
    4) interstellar, because of its extremely shitty ending.
