Connery- Goldfinger
Lazenby- On her majestys secret service
Moore- Spy who loved me
Dalton- The living Daylights
Brosnan- Goldeneye
Craig - Casino Royale
>Goldeneye
One of the best Bond movies, although this could very easily be 90's nostalgia on my part. Fricking love this movie. >Tomorrow Never Dies
One of the most forgettable movies in the franchise. >The World is Not Enough
Worth a watch if you just want to shut your brain off and have fun (even for Bond standards). >Die Another Day
Embarrassingly bad.
--Craig Bond--
>Casino Royale
Great. >Quantum of Solice
Meh. It's grown on me, but I HATED it when I first watched it. >Skyfall
Great >Spectre
Honestly pretty bad, but has some good scenes. >No Time to Die
Every sign pointed to this being woke trash, and it ended up actually being great. People have their issues with it, but I thought it was extremely well done.
This is my legit view on those era of films. The worst part of the Craig movies is that you need to watch them all to actually follow the story, which means the bad ones are required veiwing.
>but I thought it was extremely well done.
I've only watched it once, but to me it felt uninspired. It was competent, but dull. A better villain would have gone a long way.
>Tomorrow Never Dies >One of the most forgettable movies in the franchise.
filtered, its unironically one of the best (watch it now if you dont believe me)
This is true, it has aged brilliantly. Carver is one of those fun villains, but only because the actor clearly couldn't find much in the script so just threw himself fully into playing him insane.
It doesn't have many memorable scenes but Carver is one of the best villains in the entire franchise and Pryce completely makes the movie my personal headcannon is that carver is elizibeth swan's dad and he went into the afterlife in a rowboat and came back 300 years later in a spy ship
Watch the Connery films
Watch the one Lazenby film
Watch the two good Moore films.
Watch the only two Dalton films
Watch the only good Brosnan film, Goldeneye (because it was written for Dalton's Bond).
Do not watch any other Brosnan 2 hour car and watch commercials masquerading as movies.
************Craig Reboot Territory**************
Some good, some bad.
Casino Royale is the best, and if you've never seen a bond move definitely the best. The rest are cheesy and of their time, I watched them since I was 5 years old so the cheesiness has no affect on me. My personal favourite is thunderball.
The Craig movies are the best. The rest are fun and worth watching, but anyone who says the Craig movies aren't excellent, excellent action movies are shitting you. Well, some are better than the others, but at their worst, they're still 6/10.
Ranked:
Casino Royale
Skyfall
No Time to Die
Quantum of Solace
Spectre
There are people who genuinely think bond being "fun" movies was a flaw and not the whole point
these people are the reason all tv is now about gritty realism and subvertion rather than good vs evil and adventure.
GoldenEye is the most accessible, it's modern, fun, has the charm of the old ones
Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice are good Connery ones, Goldfinger is the quintisential "classic" Bond movie and YOLT is where like 50% of bond memes come from (silly car chases, volcano bases, evil bald gay with a white cat, pirahna pit, etc)
The Spy Who Loved Me is a fun Moore movie, has the guy with metal teeth and the underwater car and hot babes. I'd also suggest Octopussy because I think it's a great fun adventure but most people dislike it for being kinda badly paced and hokey.
From Russia With Love is a very good movie but it's much more grounded than what most people think of Bond, it's one of my top 3 but I wouldn't start with it.
Diamonds are Forever is a comedy movie with sean connery playing Bond in it. I don't consider it a real bond movie but it's still great.
I haven't seen the Dalton ones in a very long time but they're more serious but not as mopey as the Craig ones. The Craig movies all suck.
View to a Kill has the best song and also ends with Christopher Walken attacking bond from a stealth blimp with an axe on top of the golden gate bridge while his crazy nazi scientist "dad" who generically engineered him throws dynamite at people which makes the rest of the movie absolutely worth it even though the girl is annoying as all frick and the plot is moronic
Generally the more scenes Desmond Llewelyn has the better the movie is.
Goldfinger is Connery's best
Roger Moore's era was pretty campy but fun in its own way Live and Let Die is good The Man with the Golden Gun is a guilty pleasure
I like both of Timothy Dalton's movies
Brosnans basically all suck, Golden Eye is the least bad
Craigs are just knock off Jason Bourne
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is the biggest for Bond's character delopment but a terrible film
Start at Dr. No and finish with Die Another Day
Start with Brosnan then work backwards, then move on to craigshit if you're still interested (wouldn't recommend)
Skyall and Casino royal are some of the best bond movies
nah
Pretty good action films, terrible Bond films.
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Spy Who Loved Me
The Living Daylights
Goldeneye
Casino Royale
Add Moonraker
Casino Royale (1967)
I love like half of that movie but everything with peter sellers is shit
the east germany section is one of the funniest things ever made
also the opening credits were made by richard williams and have big breasts in them
I enjoyed that even if I didn’t laugh much
Just noticed the representative of Le Chiffre in this scene is Kronsteen from FRWL
BEST FILM PER BOND:
Connery- Goldfinger
Lazenby- On her majestys secret service
Moore- Spy who loved me
Dalton- The living Daylights
Brosnan- Goldeneye
Craig - Casino Royale
From Russia with Love
Goldfinger
GoldenEye
Casino Royale
These are what most would call the essentials. I'm not that fond of GoldenEye myself.
From Russia with Love number 1

I estimate this to be effective bait
This is my legit view on those era of films. The worst part of the Craig movies is that you need to watch them all to actually follow the story, which means the bad ones are required veiwing.
The best thing about the Craig films were the smoking hot women, except that hideous black 007 they shoehorned in at the end.
Craigfilms are good gunkino.

You can skip the ones with that hairy scottish guy making unfunny quips.
I like Goldfinger best because of this incredible scene

That one with the voodoo shark
