Why do people not see the actual problem with slave labor work when it comes to animation? Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers? Is consooming the new capeshit of the week that important to them

I care corporate wienersleeve
Then go do something about it fricktard
>damege control already in act
i'm going to post this every day just to spite you specifically, corporate shill.
You were going to do that anyways because this board is obsessed with spamming shit.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers?
That has always been the case, the people who make east vs west posts about how anime is better never talk about the slave labor those workers go through, le woke is more important to them than worker rights, always has been.
Saw the kind of shit people were saying during the height of the HBO Max purge? This place doesnt actually care about cartoons and comics
Worker rights aren't cartoons and comics.
neither is complaining about le woke, but that's what Cinemaphile is now
"le woke" appears directly in the content of said comics and cartoons, "muh sad workers" doesn't. pretty simple.
Who do you think MAKES those comics and cartoons?
The annoyance of the former makes me not care about the latter.
Woke homosexuals
>le woke
Go back
>neither is complaining about le woke
Youre right theyre not, your whataboutism is moronic.
Real quick, who makes the cartoons and comics?
left-wing morons
Rightoids are incapable of making anything good

>That has always been the case, the people who make east vs west posts about how anime is better never talk about the slave labor those workers go through, le woke is more important to them than worker rights, always has been.
Because the people boycotting are normally on welfare, so they don't care about work.
Becsuse most of time when it comes to any Hollywood or israelite job it's not actually bad and their gripes are "no transgender bathrooms".
Let alone all these animators are commies and slacktavists who only ever rise up when le orange man threatens to make the market freer and give people actual rights and fair wages.
Plus if they really hate it so much they can just open their own studio like they keep yelling at le nazis for thr past 10 years.
Oy gevalt, save me from these obese arm chair economists.
Rich people have no interest in free market. Free market is for middle class normies. Competition means you make less money. Making less money means number does not go up. If number doesnt go up then investors and shareholders mad
'Free market' is for your mom and pops of the world, not for your proctor & gamble's and kroger's of the world.
I really don't have any empathy for the animators on this one because it sounds like they're upset that they had to work hard for once. As far as I can tell the pay was fine and they knew what they were getting into.
>animators have to do something that isn't flash animation
>WWWWAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
I don't fricking care, christ. I've heard ANIMATION IS LE HARD since I was born, why do you think I didn't pursue it as a career? They're underpaid and underappreciated, but they had more than a decades worth of warnings about it, yet they did it anyway. I have no empathy for people who are whining about having to do their job, let alone the lucky saps that actually made it into the industry.
Cannot lie i was a kid thinking doing cartoons was the ultimate job
me, but with making video games
frick that shit
>it’s always been shit so it’s okay that it’s shit now, besides it’s not me so w/e
Spoiled child mentality.

>people rush in giddily
>they get kicked in the balls
>stumble out screaming and crying that they got kicked in the balls
>the building keeps getting business so it never changes it business model despite the complaints
Idiot mentality.
Well yeah the goal of going to the press is to change conditions. What did you think that was?
Because that really worked so well the last five million times too, didn't it? Anything spoiled first world animators won't do, a slave labor pool of Koreans or thirds will. You can't change shit as long as outsourcing exists.
>making shit up
Idiot.
Well why else would you be mad? It’s easy to be nice when it doesn’t cost anything, soon as it does it becomes clear how self centered and stupid the average consumer is.
>if they hate it so much why don’t they try to change it
>NO NO WAIT STOP MY CARTOONS WILL BE LATE
spoiled child.
Schizo moron.
My wants matter more than other people's needs, because I'm me and they're not. Me good because me is me. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Spoiled baby.
Who gives a frick honestly. No one has a gun to your head to be an animator. Idgaf working “conditions” are shit no matter what job you do. But, i have to give a frick cuz what, its spiderman? Nah, go have nice working conditions making their own character then. If you step up to make Spiderman, then fricking show up to work. Not b***h.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE
What the frick are you idiots talking about? Give me one example of this, I sure as shit don't see rightoids or "enlightened centrist" types shedding light on the overwork culture.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine
All the room temperature IQ morons who say shit like that on Cinemaphile or elsewhere didn’t have any intention of watching to begin with. They’re far more invested in being angry than being a fan. Get woke go broke doesn’t really exist. If it’s good it’ll still sell and if it’s bad it won’t.
Cope
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers?
Boycotting for any sake is fine.
This
Damn we should boycott against submarine regulations in that case, when have those ever helped people and not stifle progress?
CGI artists in the 90s
>Work 20 hour days
>work in a super hot warehouse without AC with computers running non stop
>sleep in their cubicles just so they don't waste time commuting
>regularly push themselves to the breaking point to create what they view as art
>all without asking for extra pay
CGI artists today
>work 11 hour days during crunch
>have a fully stocked break room with free snacks
>have large spacious cubicles with ice cold AC
>earn overtime for your extra hours
What the frick happened?
Is that what happened? Were you there?
Habe you not watched any making of documentaries of the old Pixar films, Dreamworks movies, or hell even the vidya made at the time? The working condiditions back then were 10 times worse.
>If you don't work like a XIXc factory worker, then you're a spoiled numale
>Things were worse back then, so it's okay if people still get treated like shit!
Mongoloid.
People couldn't talk about it back then and even if they did, who would've cared
Not just that but they would have been blacklisted from working in Hollywood ever again.
Assuming that they get paid for the extra hours
It's rather upsetting that being inside a think tank (this site, Internet as a whole) for so long has made you all dismissive of real world issues like the mistreatment of the workers who deliver you stuff to consume.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers? Is consooming the new capeshit of the week that important to them
Yes. Leftism is all about protecting megacorporations and billionaries.
Rightism invented trickle down economics which has and will continue to frick the entire worlds economy as rich pedophiles take pay raises as they slash budgets. Those same corporations spout leftist propaganda to make the underlings complacent but follow none of those ethics. You fell for propaganda
1. Supply side economics has existed long before the "right"
2. There is nothing "trickle down" about an individual keeping more of their own income
3. The side that coined "trickle down" as a name unironically want to impose a trickle down economic system via taxation and redistribution but only after the government employees get their cut.
Get a job you worthless neet
>The side that coined "trickle down" as a name unironically want to impose a trickle down economic system via taxation and redistribution but only after the government employees get their cut.
You mean take money from corpos by government mandate and use it for things that aren’t lining their wallet? Oh think of the poor billionaires
>take money from corpos by government mandate and use it for things that aren’t lining their wallet?
Anon I want you to look at the federal budget and I want you to count out the amount of private entities paid by the government. You unironically are supporting Corpos to pay back into themselves while the rest of us do the same. You support Trickle Down Economics and are moronic enough to believe the opposite because some politician told you so.
>the government gives corporations lots of money that they take from corporations and that’s awful
>I would fight this by never taking any money from corporations
>Ignores the part where none of your money is taken either
I'd rather keep more of my paycheck than see it lining the pocket of a triple letter government agency or the corporation it was funding. I legitamately don't get what's so hard of a concept to get about this. You act as if only corporations benefit from tax cuts.
Don’t try to talk to these morons. They love in a fantasy land where economics is a religion not a science.
>Cinemaphile would call the people on picrelated lazy parasites had Cinemaphile existed back then.
>Get an entire new studio built for them
>Get on lot accommodations for them to live at

Unironically yes because they were useful idiots.

>despite being the great depression, keep factory open and operate at a huge net loss because you know people need jobs.
>continue to build town with extravagant amenities because not only do people need jobs, but you also want to provide a nice place for your workers to live.
>communists protest because reasons.
>even despite the huge majority not wanting to form a union, still protest.
>Literally shut down and lock the factory from the inside to protest something that literally no one wanted.
Unsurprisingly when you look in to unions the only ones that where forming are for the companies not owned by israelites and had actual good working conditions.
>townshill
You got paid in funbucks you could only spend in the town.
Thats proto-meme currency
Imagine working hard for fricking tendy money

Thing is this is the case for all feature animated films, not just spiderverse. Seems people are defensive or overly hostile towards this film in particular just because of their bias towards it.
I don't see anyone trying to defend Pixar or Disney animation at this point. With Spiderverse though people are pretending it's the second coming of christ and they desperately want to consoom the next piece of the chapter as soon as possible no matter how many artists get crunched and fricked by hack directors and producers.
Everyone coping and saying "J-Just take your time we can wait" misses the fundamental problems the production had, and that's the fact Chris is an actual NPC who can't visualize an animated sequence before seeing it fully rendered and completed, upon which he starts asking for revisions, which happens half a dozen times for almost every scene.
Even with all the time in the world that's a mind-numbing torturing inefficient way to do things, it's basically the treatment Kubrick gave Shelley Duvall on The Shining. Artists want to get the specifications for their scene, get their work on it over with, so they can move on to the next scene, not rework every scene 5+ times from scratch because the producer is a nepo baby with no vision or imagination who needs basically 5 different films made before he can edit them down to one.
It's not surprising Rogen was accused of the same thing on Sausage Party, animation needs animators who understand the process working on it the same way voice work needs voice actors and not celebrities.
... you know, that's an actually good complain, even if i hate those homosexuals i can only agree that was just bullshit, everyone, even normalgays, have a tacit understanding that animation is hard and takes time, all except hollywood it seems
These sorts of things are why MCU movies and shit like like Cats got so fricked up and look so bad. The director was like "WHY IS THIS TEST FOOTAGE SO INCOMPLETE?! I WANT FULLY RENDERED TEST FOOTAGE WITH FINAL CUT QUALITY EDITING!!" and then the company doing all the CGI that they advised the studio against doing, is now going bankrupt because of how much extra work they have to do just to get approvals from moronic directors and producers who don't understand that you can't do final cut quality test footage every time they want to see how things might look
The reason why MCU movies look so bad nowadays is because they have dozens of them and they cheap out everywhere they can for example not hiring unionized CG artists.
The word from every studio that works on MCU shit is that Disney goes in with very poor plans and changes major aspects of the movie multiples times during production, requiring entire sequences to be remade on a moment's notice or to have tons of work not make the theatrical release. Disney has the money to spend, but the contracts they put these studios under often leaves them footing the bill if they have to put in overtime to fix the problems Disney creates for them. It's not just that they're making too many of them, but that they are too incompetent to plan them out intelligently to ensure higher quality visuals make it to the final cut of the movie.
Things like an awareness of how pipelines work and what causes problems during production is shit intentionally obscured even to prospects so they don’t question why conditions are shit and why they’re paid dirt vs so called “auteurs”. I don’t necessarily blame normies for not knowing this and going to “we’ll wait”, most of the biggest production disasters in the public consciousness are due to fast tracking and rushing to meet deadlines which. Still happens.
You do hit the nail on the head though, and it’s why I wish unionization efforts went beyond assuring the most basic shit like fair wages. The workers in the field generally tend to know what works and what doesn’t vs over pampered bosses who want finished animation redone because they could not understand what they were looking at on first pass. Unfortunately, class consciousness like that takes time to grow, especially in America where that shit gets sabotaged almost every time. It’s at least nice Joe Normie sympathizes and wants what is assumed to be best for the artists, even if he isn’t very knowledgeable about it.
Would switching to 2D unironically cause less of this?
No, Lord was asking for FULLY COMPLETED shots.
I find this so fricking frustrating that literally every other job on this planet requires the worker to upskill at some point since the world moves on. Very common with tech and sciences then why in the actual frick do these fricking movie directors actually sit down and learn how visual effects and animation tools work so that they can save everyone, including themselves, a lot headache and stress by knowing what things would look like instead of asking for time and effort expensive renders to suggest edits?
Who protects these morons?
ANIMATION DIRECTORS SHOULD BE ANIMATORS THEMSELVES. VFX MOVIE DIRECTORS SHOULD KNOW VFX. If not then go back to your shitty festivalbaits.
Which is weird because Phil Lord and Christopher Miller never had this sort of controversy attached to their names during their previous projects, it's not like they're not familiar how animation works. Did they get dementia or something?
I imagine next year's sequel had a lot to do with it.
The article says it happened on every single animated movie they worked on
Oh.
>Is consooming the new capeshit of the week that important to them
People in general have very little empathy for artist's woes, or any desk job that doesn't involved dealing with clients directly
Im the same also, i don't give a frick, its not like they made something i wanted to watch
I bet a IA can do their job for a fraction of the cost and less whining.
Nobody asked, you obnoxious homosexual. Shove your AI down your throat and shut up.
They already got millenial NPCs to do the writing and direction for exposition, with no whining
Based off the "diversity" of the names in the credits I can say I don't give a shit about them at all and actively hope most of them get worked to death Japanese style.
Why can't it be like this lads
>Work long hours
>Higher ups respect you
>Get paid well on top of overtime as well
I know some of you guys hate some of these artists but when some of these guyswere hired to do frickall for 3-6 months due to shitty pipeline management most of the blame is kinda on that aspect along with the other shit previously stated.
>Inb4 why didn't they leave
Yeah they did leave, 100 of them in fact which is why a few of them are stating their experiences this way.
Full pic related
To be honest even if they got paid well they shouldn't have to work long hours. Whether they see it or not they are forced to work an inhumane amount of time and can't refuse it elsewise they'd lose their job
That's true. With 1000 people on board (especially when most or a good quarter of it was probably cheap foreign labor) you'd expect there to be no immense crunching for long periods of time. Reminds me of the anon who said that piling bodies on a project isn't what's gonna make the product come out faster if the pipelines are screwed out of whack.
The future is slave labor under the guise of free labor. Get with the times.
If they didn't quit over it being garbage, who cares.
Taking their time would help a lot of the problems instead of crunching.
Also putting a fricking leash on Phil Lord who seems to be taking his surname too literally
Concern trolling may honestly be the worst form of trolling
This explains why the story is such contradictory bullshit.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers?
Considering that literally the only reason LE WOKE exists to begin with is to convince people that the only human rights are suing people who use the wrongs pronouns when referring to you, and to erase any other form of social justice, the fact that no one gives a frick about workers' right means that the system is working exactly as expected.
>is to convince people that the only human rights are suing people who use the wrongs pronouns when referring to you
Name 5 movies where this happened.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE
...issues of culture are important too Anon...
Just put a leash on Phil Lord. Let the directors do their thang.
I think Phil's contributions were good ones even if he goes about it in a dumb and wasteful way. The movie is going to be #1 again this weekend for a reason.
In all fairness, all of ATSV's competition has basically imploded. Audiences have no other options. Elemental is holding well but it will still be a major flop. The Flash is going to drop by nearly 75 percent which is historically bad.
Theaters are already dropping premium Imax screens for flash and giving them to spiderverse.
Pixar sure has fallen. If you told me 5 years ago that a brand new Pixar film would be struggling to compete with a Sony film on its 4th week I would've called you a moron.
Man i remember when Pixar could compete with Jurrassic fricking World and still do well.
Inside Out opened during JW's 2nd week and still made 90m in its opening weekend and over 800 worldwide. That may never happen again for a pixar original.
Okay but what if I had told you that the Sony film was a Spider-Man one?
If you told me it was a spiderman animated movie, I still would've called you dumb. Pixar is championed as the innovators of animation. Sony makes Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and the Smurfs. It shouldn't have been a contest. At least back then Pixar made more money than into the Spiderverse. Now it's bombing in both regards.
>Sony makes Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and the Smurfs.
But Cloudy and Smurfs 3 were actually good despite all the issues with Smurfs 3
We'll never know what Lord's actual contributions are since it's reported that he's allegedly a credit hog too.
>credit hog
This honestly pisses me off greatly. L&M have their names on so much shit that people actually think they directed them. Many even think they directed The Mitchells and not Michael Rianda.
Nobody even knows the 3 directors names for ATSV
I bet you 98% of people saying
>take your time
don't really know the workflow nor the constant back and forward production do for a movie. Usually the biggest culprit for these crunch times are the last minute changes for a few shots.
or god forbid the layout artist is still fricking up camera angels and crabbing dollys
People aren't "boycotting" because it happens so fricking often. Even with Disney animated shit
https://twitter.com/hpheisler_/status/1672681652743737344
Link rel is a clip of Frozen animators talking about their experience
>Movie is about black people being spiderman
>The people working on the movie get enslaved
poetry at it's finest
Spider-Punk is pretty funny now considering how this movie got made
>Plot twist none of his lines were in the script, it was Daniel's reaction to seeing the sweatshop conditions in the animation side of the studio. Him saying "just for the record I quit" was him unironically leaving the shitshow
>Yeah everything’s shit now, but everything was shit before too so nothing should change!
Can someone explain this logic to me?
Who are you quoting?
>100 artists quit
>Sony now has to raise wages to attract artists back, or look for skilled labor overseas
>Movie still completed
I... don't see a problem?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not pro-mistreatment. I'm pro-people having the power to walk away. Reshoots are a studio problem, and it's in their own interest to fix their workflow, lest they become another Disney.
>Sony now has to raise wages to attract artists back
Lol. No they don't
Then I guess it's not slave wages. Good for them either way.
>Then I guess it's not slave wages
How did you get to that moronic conclusion? Also crunching someone shouldn't be done no matter if you get paid a lot or a little you complete fricking moron
Eat the rich.
Eat my ass, homosexual. Hillary lost.
Trump lost and is begging for money
>Unironically believing an election where their were more ballots than voters
Lol
Lmao even
Deliver the proofs or shut up, Lindell.
>Trump lost
Incorrect. He defeated Hillary to become YOUR president. Cope and seethe b***h.
He isn't the president, and was indicted for 37 felony charges for stealing, retaining, and sharing classified documents, something which he ironically accused Hillary of doing
Hillary, Pence, and Biden all did the same thing without Presidential clearance. That should tell you everything you need to know about those indictments. They're political and in no way legitamate.
Even Pence went "oops" and hastily returned them. Donald lied about having them, tried to hide them, told his lawyers to lie to the FBI about their existence, and on and on.
It's always the cover-up that fricks you.
>Donald lied about having them
Black person the secret service literally follow him around. They were well aware of the documents and Trump was working to return the documents to the FBI when they raided him under direct order of Biden. You're seeing the US devolve into a third world country and applauding like a fricking dumbass.
>Cinemaphile - Comics & Cartoons
>and Trump was working to return the documents to the FBI
Christ I want to meet you and sell you a bridge (that I don't own).
Was it the one you bought from the dnc?
Sure, whatever gets you to hand over your rube bux.
>was working to return them
He returned a few, claimed he returned them all, and kept the rest.
Trump had from the moment he left office (January 20, 2021) to return them, until he got subpoenaed in May 2022, over a year later. Then he talked with some FBI agents, gave them some documents and said that they were all stored in his basement, until it turned out there were actually more and the FBI searched his home in August. So he easily had an opportunity to turn them all in, in June, with no consequences yet didn't.
It also wasn't an accident, he intentionally ordered people to stow the documents in trucks the moment he lost and move them to his residence
>he had to return the documents that were declassified because... he had to okay?
>I don't care that multiple documents from Biden were missing
>Why yes I'm a hypocrite
There's an official process to declassify secret documents, it's not MIND TAKING.
And the grifting bastard literally admitted in interviews that he couldn't show them around because he didn't declassify them and it was too late.
He's literally the star witness for his own prosecution.
Except Trump is getting charged for documents he kept, not the ones he returned. Biden, Pence, and so on all cooperated with law enforcement and returned whatever documents they retained right away.
Trump repeatedly lied about having them and retained them to the point where the FBI had to get a search warrant
>something which he ironically raised the penalty for to "lock her up".
Fix'd.
Yet he didn't lock her up, instead he's getting locked up, lol
>supposed ""billionaire""

>tried to shill digital NFTs

Cuck
I know a few people who worked on this movie, and that story is absolute bullshit. People b***hed because they actually had to work 8 hour days and weren't allowed to leave early whenever they felt like it. One of the artists "quit" because he was caught not working from home by like noon on a Friday when he didn't sign on to a meeting that got rescheduled.
There is a union that oversees their working conditions. Most of these people worked from home. They just didn't want to work a 9-5 because they're "artists." If the conditions were bad the union would've thrown a shitfit and people would've gotten paid. Instead people were allowed to "leave" willingly because they didn't want to work on a project for that long.
People are lazy fricks (myself included) and will do anything they can do get out of work. The morons were just dumb enough to not know how to get around without getting caught.
Anons might call you a shill but I've noticed that most of the artists on social media who worked on it have said positive things.
Both might be true in a sense. The heads are probably asking for inane revisions of shit, but amidst some of the artists that left are probably people who got caught trying to evade work.
Similar stories came out about the first one, but it was never anything earth shatteringly terrible like the Sausage Party testimonies and it just kind of died down
MARGINALLY????????
.
SP flat out didn't pay or credit many animators, right? Wasn't there a lawsuit too?
I just looked it up. Not only were they sued but the animators actually won
https://comicbook.com/movies/news/sausage-party-animators-win-major-lawsuit/
Pretty much. No paid overtime, and the leafs who worked on it don’t have a union vs down here with Sony Animation who very much do. Throw in alleged uncrediting as well.
Just because Flash was a bomb doesn’t mean Spiderverse was a hit.
Spiderverse is very much a hit, anon.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. Sauce: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl2812183041/
Studio bought tickets
Happens all the time
Why didn’t they buy tickets to The Flash, then? There’s way more on the line for that to succeed than the cartoon Spider-Man one.
Well that’s just unfair. I don’t think there’s ever gonna be anything that makes as much money as Endgame and NWH combined for a long time. But, I concede, point proven.
>Why didn’t they buy tickets to The Flash, then?
Nta but Warner Bros is struggling so hard right now they might go bankrupt
Paramount is also collapsing. Many insiders believe they have 2 years before they fall or get bought out.
The streaming wars have been a disaster.
I read that Netflix wanted to buy it
Meh. By superhero movie standards?
Only other capeshit flick to actually do well this year was GOTG3.
I expect Blue Beetle, Marvels, and even Aquaman 2 to flop.
Yeah for an animated cartoon super hero film not directly aimed at kids, it's big success. Doesn't compare to live action block busters
lots of asterisks there to call it a success
The anon was saying it wasn't a success just because Flash flopped. Then when shown how it was objectively a success financially regardless, he moved the goalpost to being a success for a spiderman movie. That just contextualizes it. But overall, It's a financial success period.
Not attacking you but I remember people telling me that this movie would make a billion at least. Not just slightly more than the first film.
Those people were moronic.
I honestly believe Mario may be the only billion dollar movie of 2023.
Spiderverse should finish in the 600 range which will be very good and put in in the top 10 profitable movies this year when deadline does their report.
Oh, that’s just delusional of them. It’s a good movie and it’s great to see it doing well, but it’s still animation. Most capeshit audiences think it’s still for little babies, no way it was gonna break a billion.
Mario movie still made a fricking billion so your logic is shit.
He said capeshit audiences not nintendobabies.
Dumbass, the fact that it made a billion dollars means the normal people went to see that shit. Not just hardcore fans. Use the brain.
Motherfricker, the Mario movie had infinitely more advertising money than anything Spiderverse related. It was an Illumination movie, they don't play around with that, of course more "normal people" watched it, their kids were probably screaming their heads off about wanting to watch it. Hell, even Nintendrones were more aware of it thanks to Nintendo directly advertising it via their directs, it's a fricking TIE IN to a new THEME PARK AREA, of fricking course more people were going to watch it than the sequel to the sleeper hit cartoon capeshit movie from 2018.
>Spider-Man movie
>"sleeper hit"
lmao
It really was though. Nobody expected the Sony Spiderman cartoon to win the Oscar
A Spider-Man movie should never under any circumstances be a sleeper hit
I don't understand why Cinemaphile loves revisionism nowadays. Yes, the fricking comic book movie from the studio who's last big movies at the time were Hotel Transylvania 3 and The Emoji Movie. People were hopeful, but unsure of it at the time. Disney assumed they secured the Best Animated piece easily either with WIR2 and Incredibles 2, the former had Oscar Winner labels printed all over it assuming they had it in the bag, ITSV was a textbook sleeper hit. Goddamn.
It was also up against Aquaman and Bumblebee which both had positive buzz. I remember hoping it would do well enough to not slam the door on all animated cape movie in the future.
Use your brain dumbass. Do you really think it made more because more normal adults went to see it? Do normal adults go to see Minions in the theater? It made more money because it was a better kids movie than Spider-verse. Illumination has proven time and time again that kiddie movies sell.
Illumination films have always made shittons. They know how to sell to kids first and foremost. Doesn't mean spiderverse isn't doing well, it's aiming for slightly older audiences and is playing more like a positively recieved cbm.
Thank you Satan for having reading comprehension.
Sorry to break this to you but Spiderverses box office just shows that people still don't care about animation, even IF it's Spiderman (the biggest capeshit IP in existence). The first film showed that pretty well as well. People don't take the medium serious.
>lost to No Way Home
>lost to Mario
Its over
Interesting.
Any idea as to why the story is just coming out now? It's weird considering they claim the same stuff happened with the first spiderverse too.
You’re right. I’m calling you both shills. Try to be less obvious and pay your fricking animators. The directors for this movie are monsters.
>directors
Phil Lord didn't direct this. Why does everyone think he did? He's a producer with a swelled head.
He's like Ren in the Wilbur Cobb episode?
Basically.
As I have said before I fricking hate how everyone thinks lord and miller are directing these movies. I honestly feel bad for the credited directors considering that they were actually doing their jobs according to the stories. Lord kept overriding their decisions.
I know a few people who worked on this movie and they're all calling you cuck who likes to make shit up to defend his favourite corporation
>Anons unironically bickering over Biden vs Trump and the 2020 election
have a nice day now
Trump refused to pardon the capitol rioters because he thought they were all ugly freaks 🙂
>ugly freaks
But enough about Democrats
>I didn't take any classified documents they were planted by the FBI!
>Ok, I took them but I declassified them in my head!
>Ok I took them but I didn't need to declassify them because they're mine!
>Ok, I took them, and kept them, and wanted to return them but I was too busy!
This movie didn’t do as good as it could’ve and the slave animation was revealed afterwards. So, it incidentally got boycotted.
It did better than The Flash kek
Everything except spiderverse has flopped big time this June. I expect Indy 5 to bomb too. Gillman is already DOA
>capeshit doing marginally better than other capeshit
Ehhh.
>This movie didn’t do as good as it could’ve
It's going to double the original at the least. It's moved back into #1 in theaters.
It's doing wildly beyond expectations.
It was never going to match Memario-berries in theaters
It’s going to be the second highest grossing film domestically this year
Yours never worked in your life, homosexuals.
Why do you keep spamming this thread? Nobody fricking cares.
Jannies will see this thread and say it's less /misc/ than Stonetoss.
I like how the upper middle class who don’t fricking work for a living try to dictate how working class got to live. Those privileged pieces of shit think they know better when they don’t. They never struggled for anything and got everything they wanted. Frick y’all.
Trump thinks you’re dumber than dirt. It’s the only thing we agree on.
I won’t lie. I would’ve shat myself if I was Miles in this situation. What the FRICK justifies someone getting THIS angry at a 15 year old.
If the teenager causes the apocalypse, I would say that it is justified.
>Why aren't you complicit in murder you little frick?! Peter parker endorses it as well!
>When there’s French fries at the function
What are the odds that the 3rd movie is released next year? Not the march 24, 2024 date I mean at all in 2024. Between this shit and writes strike effecting voice work.
Honestly, I hope Sony sees reason and delays it.
I wish they worked the writers 10% as hard as this
am i just fricking old? i could barely get through the movie.
the action was great, but the cheese... i just don't know man...
>right wingers are selfish, evil bastards
We all knew that already
>all other industries with high pressure positions that allow you to work on prestiguous projects that also have HARD deadlines like big law, upper level management or business administration, anything ER
Well, I guess I am not made for this. I'll settle for a smaller sized firm with less demanding clients and lesser strict and stressful deadlines.
>animation
I WANNA WORK ON THIS PRESTIGUOUS FILM PROJECT BUT YOU HAVE TO ALSO RESPECT MY WORK LIFE BALANCE IT CANT BE THAT I CANT WORK ON THIS WORKING 40HRS (Read: 10hrs work + 30hrs hallway chatting) THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE I AM ENTITLED TO WORK ON THIS PRESTIGUOUS PROJECT!!
It's reassuring to see that not only the works these people make are for children, but that they themselves are still children, too. Big law lawyers have the brains to just call it quits if they don't feel like the industry suits them. Animators? Nope. It's not "me", it's "them".
Why the frick do these crybaby animators ragequit whereas in Korea/Japan they dont have this problem?
>noooo this production is too demanding
Then why don't you work on those Barbie movies instead? Or work in video game production? Are you telling me that you can't quit working on Spiderverse cause you'd be unable to find another job?
Do you want to want souless corpo products or do you want art? Artists have to work late hours sometimes it's just the name of the game
>Why do people not see the actual problem with slave labor work when it comes to animation? Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine but not for basic rights of workers? Is consooming the new capeshit of the week that important to them
Yes. America's "left" is a meme.
Are you a pedo or a groomer? You still get to work.
You said Black person once? You deserve to be lynched.
They are just following a trend, they have no idea about anything else that isn't dictated to them. Same goes for the right also.
In the rightoid's brain the only thing worth doing in life is working to make someone else rich, and making kids to continue to work after you are dead, and they can't wait to tell their kids about the time they slept at their desk for a month to ship a product.
What I get from this post is that you believe that self-proclaimed adults have no accoutability for their actions. They are too immature to quit a "toxic" work environment on their own but instead need someone to change the environment for them. Aren't you supposed to be a grown up? Why do you require this much hand-holding, then?
when i was your age I worked 60 hours a week for a dollar seventy five and we liked it that way your generation is so spoiled and nobody wants to work anymore, that's why the commies are winning.
Is there something about sunday that creates so many vacation bait threads?
Comics and cartoons?
Is it because of church?
b-but protect trans kids rights
Frick zoomers, I have no sympathies when they get groomed, killed or raped. Bunch of braindead broccoli haired homosexuals
who hurt you?
i thought the amerimutt animation industry was very morally right and socially decent compared to the japanese. every amerimutt was praising it.
>point out that the artists are all lazy communists b***hing over nothing
>turns in to 2016 election debate.
Notice how everytime you btfo some seething commie artists they instant try to change the subject to bullshit bait of irrelevant pasts instead of trying to prove their point.
>Boycotting for LE WOKE is fine
Yes, you disgusting freak.
