If it has to be any commandos it should have been boy commandos, WWII lore would have tied nicely into origin point + spear of destiny shit (and maybe current year brownie points)
This was in the works as a SS spinoff. Presumably there were little greater references to impacted DC canon (Batman, Superman) so they just can continue with it as part of a new universe. I think it's generally expected that SS will remain canonish considering the only JL appearances arent crucial
Everyone in movies uses the same actors over and over. Hitchwiener eventually retired because most of his favorite actors weren’t working anymore.
Superhero movies are garbage no matter who is in them.
He said Shazam 2 might be the start of his tenure, it flopped and it wasn't.
He said The Flash would reset the entire DCU to his tenure, it didn't and then it flopped so it was also out of picture.
Then Blue Beetle was stated to star the first character of his new DCU (not Peacemaker, Waller or Weasel who all showed up before him), then it flopped and he wasn't.
Aquaman 2 aparently takes place after the reboot but is in limbo as it doesn't lead or reference the other movies. I think James learned his lesson from trying to take credit for this shitty films that he underestimated the response to.
No one would care if it was a hard reboot. But characters from Gunn's DC projects are coming back, Blue Beetle is aparently coming back, and Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman are up in the air on if they're returning or not. And of course Shazam and Flash they considered keeping if their movies were successful. It's just a massive clusterfrick.
The start of the new DCEU is something called Creature Commandos? The absolute state of DC
It's a spinoff of The Suicide Squad, a movie that's no longer canon
Not to be confused with Suicide Squad from 2016.
The movie with a lower audience score than black adam? Good lord, DC is Joever
It's the only good 2010's DC movie along with Snyder cut and it's better than the R3ddit version.
>this is the official start of the new DCU
A fricking cartoon. That most aren’t going to watch.
I don't like Rock being there. Used Shireve instead, it's what he's there fore.
Anon, literally what are you talking about

I thought the Waller series was the first new DCU project lmao.

I can understand Kingdom Hearts entire timeline and xenogears but I will never understand DCU
>these non-confusing things are easy to understand
>this thing they won't explain is not easy to understand
Who'd have thunk it.
>uuhhh TWO MORE WEEKS
Jeez James get the frick on with it already. Even DC realized this dude is a moron and went ahead with the paterson movies
Paterson movies?
How many times has Gunn changed the start point of his universe? Pretty sure everything since Flash has been part of it at some point
He's too ashamed to admit he has no idea what he's doing
Everything that is supposed to be the start keeps bombing.

I think WB is forcing him at gunnpoint to say those things in order to hopefully boost their box office, and it never works
>concern trolling about the canonicity of dogshit dc flicks
Really?

It will never cease to amaze me how comic book movies managed to replicate everything that drove people away from comics to begin with.
what?
