Christopha literally pointed a gun at Tony
Paulie was constantly ratting to NY and probably ended up giving Tony up in the end
Tony became far more unstable than Ralph by season 6
>Wonder why Tony always hated Ralph even before he shows up in the show >Deleted script had Tony mention that Ralph accidentally killed some girl in high school in a boating accident
Ralph was always fascinating. He raised all of his siblings but we never hear or see them. You'd think some of them would grow up to be a little weird like him and maybe join the family.
>Tony never wanted to make Ralph a captain >Due to circumstance Tony had to make him a captain >The minute a tough decision for Ralph came up, Ralph went straight to Tony asking Tony "what to do" >This is part of the reason why Tony thought Ralph wouldn't make a good captain, hes weak and indecisive. >The part where Ralph says he wants to give Jackie Jr a pass to Tony in the car, Tony with a shit eating grin in full support says "Whats more important then the decision is that its made a timely manner...but hey, you're a captain what am I telling you for, you know this already haha". >the subtext here was Tony saying "Okay gay, I was forced to make you a captain and now you have to make the hard decisions but don't make the decision that will cause problems for us"
not to dismiss your point entirely but you're ignoring how in the previous episode tony had told ralph he would be okay if he gave jackie a pass because he sympathized with him, your second to last greentext I think more stems from your general point of ralphie being indecisive, by that point he just wanted the issue solved and he truly couldn't care which way since it was causing problems for him personally (the phone call)
their conversation about jackie jr was basically: ralph- "i don't want to kill him, but if it has to be done, i'll do it for you, if it is your command"
tony- "i don't want him killed, but if you absolutely have to because otherwise you being a captain is compromised, i would close my eye to it"
they both wanted him gone because he was nothing but trouble and because of card game he could not have been forgiven but none of them wanted it on them.
Tony didn't want Jackie Jr to get a pass. He was sick of him.

Everyone in the Sopranos with the surname "Aprile" is completely unlikable.
it makes me wonder how much did tony really like his supposed best friend, considering he murdered his only son (because he didn't beat him enough to make him reconsider college), with pussy and even ralph he at least feels guilty
jackie had to do a LOT of shit before tony pulled the plug >dropped out of college >openly gambling and whoring around while dating his daughter >trying to get involved in the mob despite tony wanting him kept out of it
hell he killed one of his gambling dealers and shot two made men, and even then tony at least initially was willing to let him get a pass, there wouldn't have been a question with anyone else
nta but also Jackie jr was a constant thorn in Tony's ass >douchebag playboy dating his daughter >attached himself to his uncle Richie who was making a play to take over >doing bullshit drug dealing around their club that would attract attention
His botched robbery was the final straw. Or rather, it was a good excuse to just off him and have it not be his decision
Also if he did get a pass what then? Was Chris and Furio just gonna let that go? Was it just going to be an awkward secret why he wasn't allowed to any family gatherings? He had to go no matter what
Tony explicitly gave the order without giving the order. Ralphie had no choice.

Yes I agree. J jr was a spoiled brat that kept trying to insert himself into the business because he thought it was his birthright to be a mobster. And nothing his father or Tony said to him would convince him to just stay out of it. It was only a matter of time before he got pinched and flipped
ralphie wanted jackie gone but pretended to be conflicted so he'd have leverage on tony later
tony saw right through it and that's why he let ralphie make the call
Tony didn't want Jackie Jr to get a pass. He was sick of him.
Why did Carlo flip bros?
Because of his moronic son.
They were relentlessly cruel to her through the show, weren't they? >husband died a horrible death from cancer >son getting killed by their so called friends >close friend getting killed in car crash >abandoned by fricking Ralph Cifaretto
They did her dirt
Everyone in the Sopranos with the surname "Aprile" is completely unlikable.
I had a dream the other day
It had Jimmy Altieri in it and he was dead
When he died he was standing in the middle of a beautiful field and there was Johnny Soprano to meet him
He was relieved to see Johnny and they hugged and kissed but suddenly the sky went dark and all the plants died and suddenly Johnny's flesh started rotting and Johnny grabbed onto Jimmy and started laughing and then there were storms and thunder and Jimmy was just screaming as Johnny held onto him and the ground split and lava started coming up through the rocks
God that was a terrifying dream
Why did they retcon his sexuality? You see him frick a bing stripper like a normal person but then he takes it up the ass and Jackie's widow says he finishes himself off in the bathroom. Does coke make you gay?

Literally everyone in the show is. It's a great dissection of just how pathetic organised crime is and a good character study of masculine insecurity disguised as machismo.
Jackie was never gonna get a pass, any scene where Tony and Ralphie discuss what should happen to him they're essentially shifting responsibility back and forth.

etc...
>why did he kill the Hollywood friend
everyone hated him even chris himself
that said i always found it interesting how he can nail a headshot even while being drunk
>season 3 >is kind of a goofball but still masculine and aggressive like most of the other guys >season 4 >LOL his mom raped him and he likes getting fricked up the ass with dildos and he has a son too I guess
he'(was)s just like me
>Haha the sociopaths didn’t like looking in the mirror
Yeah, we know.
Insecure pussies will be insecure pussies though
>she was a HOOWAAAAH
>WASSAMADDAYOU
He was no more evil than Christopha, Paulie or Tony
He was more unstable and wasn't as good at maintaining relationships. The Tracee incident being a classic example.
Christopha literally pointed a gun at Tony
Paulie was constantly ratting to NY and probably ended up giving Tony up in the end
Tony became far more unstable than Ralph by season 6
>Tony became far more unstable than Ralph by season 6
????????
Nobody gave a shit about Tracee's death, they only cared about how it would affect them
Tony only cared about Ralph killing Pie Oh My
Murder at the Bing is the lowest you can go, it upended the whole premise of a business front.
Good point that's never brought up
Frickin hooah hit a made guy. She doesn't just get a pass for that because she was at the Bing.
He was a pain in the ass
he disrespected the bing!
he beat a girl to death for no reason at his place of business
>took it up the ass
>didnt die a horrible death like vito
he made it
unless of course there's a salami sandwich around
just watched this ep. S5 might be my favorite season, liked Tony B's story more this time
>Dies in gay 90s ‘athletic’ getup
Fitting.
>Wonder why Tony always hated Ralph even before he shows up in the show

Ralph was always fascinating. He raised all of his siblings but we never hear or see them. You'd think some of them would grow up to be a little weird like him and maybe join the family.
A. She was a who-ah.
B. She hit me.
C. She was a who-ah.
D. They didn't have flat tops in Ancient Rome.
Ralph is far and away my favorite character and I think I like every scene with his except the "white as false teeth"
>"white as false teeth"
what scene is this?
Joke at the dinner table with AJ's friend "you're not israeli are you"
hes definitely the best member of the crew next to tony and chrissy
He was a good char, but he was fricked.
Killed his step son, who was the old boss's son, after being told by his boss to let it slide.
Also the strap on sex, lol
>Tony wanted Jackie jr to get a pass
Watch the episode again
explain

>the subtext here was Tony saying "Okay gay, I was forced to make you a captain and now you have to make the hard decisions but don't make the decision that will cause problems for us"
Hope that explains it.
Damn that went over my head I'll have to go back and watch it again

furio probably would, he's used to just following the boss' orders
chris would go full moron in some manner
Tony explicitly gave the order without giving the order. Ralphie had no choice.

and he disrespected the pizza parlor, which is nearly disrespecting the bing in italian culture...
ralphie wanted jackie gone but pretended to be conflicted so he'd have leverage on tony later

Tony didn't want Jackie Jr to get a pass. He was sick of him.

Everyone in the Sopranos with the surname "Aprile" is completely unlikable.
um no
he was making Ralph feel like shit for even thinking of giving Jackie my fawtha jr a pass, he wanted Jackie dead
he was popular with everyone except those he needed to be, Tony, Johnny Sac, gangsters he was working with like Paulie
Were they wearing loafers?
Why did they retcon his sexuality? You see him frick a bing stripper like a normal person but then he takes it up the ass and Jackie's widow says he finishes himself off in the bathroom. Does coke make you gay?
coke is the equivalent of rock lee taking off his weights to increase his gayness
taking it up the ass from a WOMAN doesn't make you gay, dummy
>palmice
underrated, based character
I think even one of the writers admitted they killed him off too early
>like a normal person
yeah normal people get in threesomes with a cop all the ti. he was a sick frick end of story.
He was a sadist before he kills Tracy. Then he's masohist
Why was Ralphie so good but Richie so shit?
i think they're equally psycho, but Ralphs, "can't give a frick" performance for me. Richie was intense and a victim character
>Richie was intense
FEECH WILL INTENSE ALL OVER YOUR FRICKING FACE
If he had killed Tony and became boss, they would've all had alot more fun. As would the viewer.
The Downspranos
Tracee's death turned me on.
i hate women but don't have that sadism in me
>Tracee's death turned me on.
every episode could've been Adriana getting choked out for all i care
>t. Ralphie
getting slugged in the fricking jaw is a close second
gotta admit
> she was one clumsy broad
>watch Sopranos clips
>See Adriana
>Neuron activation
Also they were totally fricking asking for it in that scene with her and Deborah
>Ade and Deborah
that would be one heckinerino of a 3 way
I've never seen Gladiator
Why did Carlo flip bros?
They were relentlessly cruel to her through the show, weren't they?
>husband died a horrible death from cancer
>son getting killed by their so called friends
>close friend getting killed in car crash
>abandoned by fricking Ralph Cifaretto
They did her dirt
She seemed to turn out okay though given her chances as a former mob housewife
Adriana probably got shafted the hardest imo
I heard Ginni Sack can't stand either.
Was Tony a toxic person?
Is that a real question
Literally everyone in the show is. It's a great dissection of just how pathetic organised crime is and a good character study of masculine insecurity disguised as machismo.
the best character
>He was sucking a Cub Scouts dick
Jackie was never gonna get a pass, any scene where Tony and Ralphie discuss what should happen to him they're essentially shifting responsibility back and forth.

Chris was the worst of them
Why did he kill the Hollywood friend
>why did he kill the Hollywood friend
everyone hated him even chris himself
that said i always found it interesting how he can nail a headshot even while being drunk
Why couldn't he beat up a fat slob that is afraid of everything is the real question.
>season 3
>is kind of a goofball but still masculine and aggressive like most of the other guys
