I liked it because it was the closest thing to TNG since TNG. Episode of the week, stuff solved without killing/blowing stuff up, issues that aren't 'big monster' and characters have flaws and personal growth.
I mean many people lost in the desert drank their piss to survive, or slit their own wrists to drink their blood. So, yeah it kinda is. I mean I don't talk about the show or encourage people to see it, it's just decent Star Trek content.
Genuinely funny with actual great action and good call-back to other show that aren't just "remember this".
It's objectively good and only someone who hate star trek as a concept would hate that show.

Lower Decks is genuinely the best Trek going now. Picard 3 was good fan service and Discovery may have figured things out but too late. SNW is pretty good but is losing me with the Xenomorph Gorn. Hopefully everyone gets a wrap to their stories and/or there's a movie to finish things off.
