oh hey I was just talking about that show the other day. White Panthera is best character.
>Gutiérrez O'brian Equihua
are these supposed to other names? because it makes no sense that his paternal surname is the last one
Rodolfo is too much of a simp and a cuck to let his family name go last on his son.
The family name always goes last, what the frick are you on about.
It's like
says.
Latinos have two "last" names, and the first one is always the paternal one (the one that the vast majority of people use as their last name as it's the one that gets passed down through generations).
It's only Portuguese speakers that do it the other way around.
>Latinos have two "last" names
why
So you get your mother's last name too instead of just your father's, it still disappears eventually, it just takes one extra generation.
not mention women dont lose their own surnames after marrying like muricacucks and nips
That's how it work, family surnames always come after the many or little middle names you are given.
It goes first name -> middle name (optional) -> mother's maiden suname -> father's surname.
So judging by that, Manny's mum has Irish descent.
Not necessarily, Maria's surname could just've been omitted as it changed after marriage.
Is a joke on how in telenovelas the protagonist has a lot of lastnames.
How the frick did an Irish name manage to get into an aggressively Spanish as frick verbal diarrhea storm of a name?
That's the joke, but also.....there's Irish in Mexico. Some even fought for Mexico against America apparently.
It's a stock joke about mexicans having more than one surname
There's a gag in The Grave Escape where it's established that Manny's names are the names of some assorted ancestors (except Pablo I guess? He doesn't start pointing until he gets to Gutiérrez)
So an Irish guy must have married into the family at some point.
also side tangent, but I'm willing to bet the Gutiérrez shown in this photo is modeled after one of Jorge Gutiérrez's IRL dead relatives.
It was funny gag but I remember it being funnier in spanish.
Also, might not be the best way to keep your secret identitiy a, well, secret.
I forget if he had a secret identity.
As a Hispanic, I never understood these long as names, at most where I come from, you get:
>First Name, Middle Name, Father's First Last Name, Mother's First Last Name
I don't understand having more last names than that.
It's just something acquired from the europeans, like USA's big lawns but for naming.
Those wacky Europeans.
"Apparently we're relevant again, because a voice actress got too touchy after the show she's on was criticized, Dad."
