Kinda weird to have Spider-Man PS4 just be okay with killing the father of a guy who has the same name as his friend who’s dad also died

There’s a couple things like that in the film but I think if I was told “You have to shoot your best friend’s dad or the world will end” and then was shown pretty objective proof that the world would end, I’d shoot his dad. The plot sorta runs off assumptions but there’s clearly evidence those assumptions are based on.

          >You would, but Spider-Man wouldn't
Insomniac Peter would considering he gave the Devil's Breath cure to everyone instead of May. He was literally faced with this exact same dilemma. Last Stand Peter would.

Hell, you have basically infinite amounts of Spider-Men and Women in the movie combining their brainpower and their only solution is to close what gaps they can and make sure the canon works, what exactly do you want them to do outside of that when they can't figure out how to warp reality? All their brainpower amounted to making an educated guess when a canon disruption would happen and sending people across dimensions to make sure the canon is withheld.

Acting like any Peter should be siding with Miles when we know for sure based on Miguel's surrogate world that canon events collapse and kill the entire world when not followed is ludicrous. You literally had multiple Spider people there with Miguel during that part to witness it happening. You had complete proof that when Miles changed the canon things started going wrong. What more do you think they can do short of Miles being the one person in the infinite canon that can change canon, but only in certain ways because it didn't seem to do anything to Mumbattan? Again, keep in mind basically an infinite amount of Spider-Men can't figure out how to solve this issue outside of adhering to it. Deriding them for it seems ridiculous.

I'm saying that based on their current information over seemingly years of doing this and an infinite amount of Spider People combining their brainpower that is the conclusion they came to, yes. Because if they don't keep to the canon then not only does your universe get erased meaning trillions of deaths or more, but every single one in the entire multiverse gets erased.

The only reason they're going to get out of this dilemma is because either Miles is going to be the one Spider-Man in the infinite multiverse that can make exception to the canon, or Spot will allow them a way to avoid canon events from ever being required again. But that's all speculation because we have no idea what their solution will be. We only know what the current reality is and the current reality based on the infinite amount of Spider-Man wisdom is that you don't follow canon everyone dies.

I personally think miles will end up doing something really dumb and possibly destroy a universe in beyond, but because he’s now trying to to protect the canon, not avoid it like in the end of across. He’ll probably attempt to make the canon right by sacrificing himself and taking prowlers mile’s place in this universe to appease the canon, but then gwen’s rescue team shows up and reveals that it’s actually staying in an alternate universe for too long that killed the universe and when gwen tries to talk him out of it, he’ll ignore her. If this sounds familiar, I just took a lot of this from the lego movie 2 because lego movie 1 is similar to into, and the first part of lego movie 2 is similar to across, so logically the second part of the lego movie 2 will be similar to beyond.

                Moose

I doubt it'll be that because Mumbattan started having issues as soon as Miles saved the father showing that it's not just staying in an alternate universe doing it.

Not every Spiderman is in the spider society. If Miguel actually succeeded in recruiting all of them he'd have cosmic Spidey and God venom both of whom are capable of fixing the whole mess.

Okay, fair point, but it still stands that an untold amount of Peters and Peter-adjacent people are in the Spider Society and as far as we know a majority of them are close to the smartest people on their entire planet with many of them being from technologically advanced worlds way in the future.

Madame Web would also be able to fix something like this, wouldn't she?

                >Madame Web would also be able to fix something like this, wouldn't she?
Probably why she hasn't shown up yet. Miguel conveniently failed to recruit the spider people who specialize in these sort of events so either they don't agree with his methods or there's more to it than meets the eye

This. I don't get everyone being so huffy about this. They're shown explicitly that not killing the dad kills EVERYONE. Not everyone in the room, not everyone he knows, not even everyone on the planet, literally everyone in the whole universe, and if enough dads don't die, then the EVERY universe. It sucks but part of being Spider-Man means you can't save everyone, no matter how hard you try, or how much you want to. That's pretty much the crux of his whole character.

I think everyone b***hing is missing the point.

Ok, but why is it an anomaly?
Why would Miles becoming Spider-Man as a logical progression of Kingpin fricking with the multiverse not be canon when that is exactly what happens?
How can there be an anomaly in an infinite multiverse? Shouldn't there be infinite Spider people from infinite universes that were bitten by infinite spiders from infinite other universes?

                Moose

Because in his universe he was never meant to be Spider-Man at all. In his world's canon he's not supposed to be Spider-Man but he is because he was bitten by 42's Spider-Man unintentionally. Yes, when you start thinking more about this it breaks down because you should have infinite amounts of worlds where Peter/Miles/Gwen/Miguel/Ben/Kaine/Ock/Takuya/Ham/Sentient spiders/T-rexes and so on wouldn't be Spider-Man in their world but became one anyway because of outside means.

I think the argument the movie is going for her is that Miles is the only one out of any of them that "broke the canon" in a sense by becoming an anomaly because no one else in the infinite multiverse had a multiversal collapse to deal with like Miles did.
