The escalation from "generic space antihero" to "Oh and by the way this guy is a serial rapist" was...unexpected.

I always took it as the charges were ludicrously trumped up though he's still a rogue. There were possibly some rape by omission, shit where he lied about his identity, but neither 37 counts of it nor any violent taking.

Apparently this was more or less a 1:1 adaptation of Sternn's first issue, outside of him ejecting Fiste into space which he didn't do in the comic.

Him killing Hanover Fiste felt pretty random.

        Anonymous

You could take it as Stern seeing Fiste as a liability. Fiste did his job, yes, but he also knew the truth, and could tell someone if he ever felt like it.

Ive only read some of the comics from story times here but yes, hanover was sterns pal and it was OOC for him to kill him. Thats like the only major change from the OG comic because theyre partners in it and he actually does pay him afterwards

for some reason this has reminded me of some specific ~30 second youtube animation
I have spent the past 2 hours trying to look for it
there was some strange European commercial in like the 90's, and the guy singing the jingle really put his soul into it
    so someone animated the commercial
    >guy is sitting on toilet
    >someone is looking at him through window
    >guy in window starts singing (this is the commercial song)
    >guy crawls through window
    >powerful singing gives himself a powerup, like handover fist
    >grabs sword made out of lightning from the sky
    >guy on toilet dies somehow
    >calm commercial voice explains whatever product
this video has some hypnotic quality, and its driving me crazy that i cant find it
