>Ginger is a pirate who lives in the Caribbean or Tropical adjacent setting
Why is this a common trope? The only Caucasians that can handle the heat and humidity are Brunettes. So Pippy should have Brown Hair.

>Pippy

pippi lives in sweden
Sweden isn't tropical.
Yeah, and neither is Villa Villekulla.
>Catalog
it's tropical adjacent since it's a pirate cartoon.
The presence of pirates does not transform a temperate climate to a tropical one.
all pirates sailed tropical seas.
The Vikings were one of the most famous groups of pirates in history, anon.
were they gingers?
Some of them were, probably. Celtic pirates were also all over the English Channel, Irish Sea, and North Channel. Pirates exist everywhere there's a) people sailing, and b) a narrow area to funnel ships in while allowing the pirates to hide. They got associated with the Caribbean because that was the most lawless area during the colonial period, but piracy has existed ever since people invented boats.
Yes
There is only the Nelvana version.
Ok. What's the best film adaptation of Pippi Lingstocking?
There are multiple episodes focused on how it's snowing
Grace O'Malley
And that people think 'pirate' and immediately associate them to the tropics/caribbean when Irish pirates were a thing
It was either that or dying of starvation
can't wait for the remake where they make her some african princess and her dad a Kang
Anne Bonny was a red haired pirate, anon
Came here to say this
Like asking why most femme fatales are based off of Cleopatra
It’s because of the dutch. The most famous pirate ghost legend is literally called the flying dutchman.
I have a Cinemaphilerelated conspiracy theory about Miss Fortune/Katarina. A lot of League of Legends early champions look eerily similar to Joe Madureira's Battle chasers characters, and the comic would have predated the game by some time. Specifically Red Monika shares a lot of design similarities with Miss Fortune and Katarina, including her romance wtih the the big muscular swordsman Garen/Garrison (even the names are similar there). Later, Joe mad releases the Battle Chaser game which lands his company the job of producing the League of Legends rpg. My conspiracy is that League either stole or heavily borrowed the designs from Joe Mad and either as fans or as repayment gave his company the job of producing that rpg since they knew his style would fit their vision of character design. I have 0 proof for this of course, but the similarities in character design between early LoL and Battle Chasers seems too close to be coincidence.
>Chinese company steals designs and makes their own knock offs.
Same as it ever was
It's a holdover from pirate tales popular in the 1800s and early 1900s, where red hair was associated with Irish, Scotch and other ethnic phenotypes heavily associated with "lower class" in art and literature from anglophone countries.
forgive my bad grammar, I'm drunk and sadly I don't even have Irish ancestry as an excuse for it
Pippi a cute.
🙂
Because the author choose to and fiction isn't about what should be in reality.
Anne Bonnie maybe? I think she was a redhead.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!
Now make one for all the movies that do a star wars poster

Find out where she lives and rape her.
Thats actual child abuse why would a lesbian woman do this?
Well pirates usually have fiery and eccentric personalities and those two traits are associated with redheads.
okay what's the connection with that monkey and luffy?
Guess they got inspired from Ottoman pirate captain, Red beard Barbarossa
We could've had Ghibli Pippi
Thankfully we didn't
WOWIE! Look at all those possible live action roles for African Americans!

Allow me to be the first one to welcome you to the modern day where everything can be bought or licensed for a price.
Not Pippi. The owners keep turning down reboots because they are hardcore Christian and don't want to see her get pozzed
>there should be fewer gingers in media
israelite detected
They are fiery
what goes well with black?
Anything. Other colours stand out more and look better when contrasted with black. Conversely, they look more washed out when contrasted with white.
what colors go with white?
What's the best animated version of Pippi Longstocking?
Vikings invaded potato land and fricked a bunch of them to the point where red hair became a common trait.
