bump
bump (I can't draw)
Doesn't matter. JUST DO IT!
Not exactly the prompt but got carried away and drew this real quick
Ok but jackets over spandex is cool...r-right?
Heck yeah
They can look really cool when the artist actually knows how to draw them right
>It can look good if the artist draws it good
Totally agree, Anon.
tbf, if you just grabbed that 84 design and put the jacket on top it'd be real good
I can’t draw, but I’ve been trying to get the image in my head right of a supergirl like character who wears a brown jacket with fluffy white bits over brown spandex
As a fan of Gambit, it would be hypocritical for me not to say yes, it's cool.
YES
Yes
>Jim Lee X-Men-sisters....
1996 is way too late in the game, the leather jacket is more 1991-3.
I really like the idea of making fake characters and pretending they changed with industry trends. Could make for a fun drawthread tbh.
fa/tg/uy here, look into a card game called Sentinels of the Multiverse. It's not a "buy packs of random cards" game, more like a boxed board-game type thing. What's neat is that the creators invented not a set of fake superheroes for it, but a fake comic/publisher and its history, and considered the ways that it would change over time. They basically came up with the storylines, the publisher drama, the "This storyline got dropped abruptly because the editor got fired" moments, the characters who disappeared for 10-20 years and came back different.
Then they ended the game with a crisis crossover event that brought some of the villains back as hero decks.
It's a physical game but it's also available on steam, and the creators did a weekly podcast where they talk through their whole-ass fictional comic publication history on a specific hero. Good shit tbdesu.
This was also the premise of the Alan Moore Supreme run. You should check it out if you haven't
link it if you do that
behold..The EYE!
That’s actually pretty sick
backstory please, this is legit great
Basically he's sort of a comic-within-a-comic that a main character of mine grows up enjoying, especially the animated adaptation.
An adventurer and stage magician who got lost in the mountains of The Orient and found a village of minks who trained him to unlock his third eye and use real magic. As a traveling magician, he fights crime around the world
Blueblood, the vampire with a demon in her veins! Her very lifeblood is her weapon!
Wait, this rocks though.
kinda cute
actually very cute!!
I knew she seemed familiar
https://the-conservatory.fandom.com/wiki/Blue_Blood
Ya got me! May as well put up her sole existing mini, then.
And done.
Oh snap, That's super cool, anon!
The eye crotch rocks.
I like the dragon emblem and how it curves around. It gives a sense of dimension.
another one, the Dame Daring- Miss Dragon!
And her 90's badgirl relaunch
We are still missing female representation
the 60's design is genuinely really cute, I kinda wish she was real
I do want to do more with her, she’s a concept that’s been kicking around in my head for a while.
These are fantastic. How about some more female ones? We need more female 90s stereotypes.
Somebody make a stretchy lady heroine.
At work, but had to doodle an idea down. May revisit later.
https://files.catbox.moe/qy7vk7.jpg
cute!
ok one more for today, I got inspired to do a taffy themed stretchy girl
actually yes, although I don't normally draw in this resolution lol. I go by sketchatrondraw on twitter
>sketchatrondraw
what would you need for one of those oldschool/90s pics?
Cute and rad, anon! Would buy her comic.
Good job with all these today.
NEW WAIFU ACQUIRED
WIFE
>sketchatrondraw
I'm not allowed to message you or anything because of musk
I was thinking of some 90s stereotypes like
>female super now has GUNS
>female supers powers are cranked up ridiculously high
>female super is now a cool ninja/martial artist in a skimpy outfit
>female super is now a monster-woman of some kind
OP here. If this thread is still alive when I get off work, I will draw one. I'll call her Dutchess Hammerhead. Look forward to it.
Few people know that the secret agent liason for the 90's superhero team DEATHPACT was actually originally a 60's girl's comics character, Clara McNop- The Girl Cop. She had a successful run until 1973 when the editors felt they had enough material to just run off reprints, leading to the character eventually wallowing in obscurity until being revived in the early 90s.
To be fair, Agent of C.O.P was a pretty cool evolution for the character. She was a badass who didn't take shit from anybody despite not having any powers of her own. Yeah sure she was a little cheesecake-y but so was everyone at the time. That issue where she's working against the clock to free DEATHPACT while disarming a series of time bombs AND fighting the superpowered militant terrorist group RAGE FORCE at once is a classic for a reason. I've seen that panel of when Clara takes down Spikeangel reposted so many times.
Shieldheart has had a rocky history in comics with many reinventions, one of the stranger ones being when Ragnarox drained her of her powers and left her an amnesiac, joining up with a group of bikers called the Road Vikings and becoming a biker chick out for justice
lol these are great
frick me. do you take commissions by any chance?
I could probably keep going with these for days.
And one more, based on my friend's design
should be pretty obvious who this is riffing on
Wanted to try this
Kek post-Chernobyl Atomic Man would be retconned into being the bad guy by boomers who think Coal Man and Gas Man are the real heroes.
Don't forget gullible hippies who think Windmill Man and Solar Man are practical replacements.
Solar Man is the team jobber who gets his ass kicked by Storm Cloud every single issue.
Can’t draw at the moment, but I think I have a 90s concept in mind. Inspired by the anon who does and more.
The Gladiator!
In his debut he was a villain who targeted museums to steal antiques and was fixated on dueling heroes.
Here’s the 90s villain vigilante reimagined backstory…
Anthony Jones was a former mobster who was practically raised into the crime family. Though during a heist, he and his gang were caught by an alien ship while fleeing from the cops. Their otherworldly kidnappers brought them back into their home planet and put them into gladiatorial arenas to fight for their amusement. The mobsters tried to stick together, but in the end they all betrayed each other just to try to stay alive. What the humans weren’t aware however, is that if a “faction” is eliminated, then their own planet would be destroyed. Anthony fought for years, and eventually grew a newfound kinship with fellow alien slaves while slowly abandoning all he learned as a mobster. After a while he won enough time to be released back to Earth. The whole experience changed him however, and he now seeks to offer the same kind of “redemption” he had to other criminals and anyone who ever crossed him. He will capture any scum he gets his hands on, and force them into gruesome gladiatorial fights and trials until they either are remade men like him, or perish. One of his end goals is to make humanity stronger. If some humans were ever kidnapped again like he was, then man won’t be exterminated for loosing. Eventually, they could even overpower these alien oppressors!
Neat
Didnt use mspaint but you can have this oc i made that has as much 90s shit as i can think of. His name's Flashback
>devil sticks
>flannel around the waist
>rollerblades
>vhs themed shirt
would
Calling this done.
He's from a toyetic 90s show meant to sell a line of skateboards and various clothing lines and collectable action figures. He's from the future but broke his time machine, but combined it with a vhs player to have limited time control powers that usually is depicted with stock footage
frickin' love it
Helluva concept.
Any other small additions you like to add? Like a Puck-Disk and a interchangable Paddle or Hockey Stick for melee?
Though he's heavily based off Nosedive, I was thinking he was themed after VHS aesthetics, and I had an Idea to give him devil sticks that he can use to "pause" wondering he's juggling with them. Maybe some other accessories could be a remote control weapon of home kind, or a set of protective gear
>Nosedive
Whom?
From the mighty ducks. He was the Mikey of the group
Frick why does the dome head feels so pertinent to the 90's ?
this is GRIMSKULL he is 1/2 zombie and 1/2 revenant, born when a revenant mother was bitten by a zombie, his mother died for a 3rd time during his birth which protects him from the revenant curse but his zombie (a type of vampire thrall) nature can assert itself if he's not exposed to holy pain, so he has to wear an inverted cross at all times.
he has spiked blonde hair, a ponytail/topknot depending on the artist, and when he uses his nebulously defined psychic powers caused by his mother's ghost's faith, he gets a glowing cross over his left eye (or right, sometimes the artist forgets)
he's really gaunt and his face, being a skull with skin but no flesh, always is doing a scowl.
We really need more drawgays on Cinemaphile
People who are actually good at drawing just attract gaggles of lazy requesters. What we need are more anons who are willing to just let loose and doodle.
comic drawgays are rare, it's easier to draw cartoon moms for twitter clout
Meet Sgt. Gritpouch.
>His unit was slaughtered by cannibal women in the Amazon, so he raped and murdered and ate them back
>got captured by the CIA and put on trial for war crimes he didn't have approval from them to commit
>However, they needed someone to go and save the president's daughter from a satanic dimension where it rains blood and white lightning flashes all the time.
He wears a cybernetic eye over his eyepatch, and instead of having a million little pouches, he just wears one big pouch to keep everything in. He also has a big gun; we don't know what type or if it it corresponds to any guns that exist in the real world, but we assure you, it's big...and realistic.
Be sure to buy at least 5 copies of the polybagged first issue. They'll put you through college, we promise.
Goddammit, forgot the pic.
i actually like how you shaded this
Damn it, didn't mean to reply to myself
I had Rob Liefeld in mind when I made this. A lot of people clown on him for not being all that great.
But in all honesty, there's something really charming and respectable about how he just kinda did what he wanted anyway. Too many people get caught up in trying to make their work perfect, and never end up actually releasing anything.
BUY BLOODBLAST!!!!
NEW FROM MEGAGIGAEXTREME STUDIOS
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
*blasting randomly in every direction*
my god, it's beautiful
Thank you, and the MegaGigaExtreme Studios would not be complete without its ultimate Bad Girl, it's second title release, it's....bawdBlade.
socials now plz
be honest you probably drew it a while ago, and just waited for a thread like this one to have an opportunity to post it
No, I honestly drew it right after the BloodBlast drawing. I was an artist on some 90s bad girl comics no one ever saw.
>no one ever saw.
maybe you shoulda show?
Spill! Give us the tea anon, or at least a hint!
Is this a parody of Witchblade or is it just a hilariously fortunate coincidence'?
The shoulder mounted knife is a nice touch.
Incredible, Rob Liefeld would be proud
Would unironically read.
too based for Cinemaphile
good shit man
Immaculate
You win.
I really love the unaliased look of MS Paint. Outstanding, man.
I thought it was Ed Blood Cell at first.
the inclusion of the CCA stamp was a nice touch
Tim Sale, your still alive?
the rare good Cinemaphile thread
now its a true liefeld
last year I played around with the idea of an early image comics inspired popeye
This feels like a combination of Popeye and Goon (From The Goon).
figuring out how to balance those proportions while trying to blend in larsen and liefeld influences was a headache
good thread, go on
captain crimson, metaphorical lady killer and literal man killer.
pretty sure I've seen this guy in my TF2 lobby
Anger Sniper would be a pretty good 90s character
This thread has the awesome seal of approval. Disregard anyone and anything that says otherwise
He's pissed off and from the future.
honestly the low effort description helps
>He's PISSED OFF and FROM the FUTURE!
>GRR-MAN!
>He's pissed off and from the future.
is he also a clone, and/or the child of a clone?
pissed off future cyborg spawned from eugenics is peak 90s
Me and my friend did this like 10 years ago, just spitballing stupid shit. Came up with a Punisher clone called Painkiller who had a constant 5 o clock shadow, ate pills like candy and held guns instead of his children
>Bloodshot (or Bloodspot)
>He's powered by blood
>His blood? His enemies blood? Who knows?
>Long as his tank is full his ticker keeps ticking and his blasters keep blasting
Every post is great, I wonder why threads can't be like this more often.
The DARK SORCERER
>Undead sorcerer from ancient times
>all magic is purple or black
>Also has a gun and a sword, for some reason
We on that Stephen King shit.
This was fun
Is that Death's Head? You drew Death's Head.
It looks cool. Good work.
I think I unconsciously drew deaths head.
You did, but the palette is cool.
It is a good design, yes?
Would absolutely play his indie metroidvania game.
>Sergeant MAX BLOODFLOW, an EX-MARINE and VIETNAM VET who was BETRAYED by his COMMANDING OFFICER and is now OUT FOR REVENGE
Good piece but it makes me wonder, is there any comic artist who is notorious for drawing comically oversized chins?
behold, the red dragon
a chinese hitman who is only summoned when a job is too important to fail. trained in forbidden martial art techniques so deadly that every student must kill there master to surpass them. fluent in mandarin.. and dealing PAIN. when the red dragon takes the hit, the only thing guaranteed is blood, swords, and YOUR DEAAATHHHH
I can't draw for shit but here's uhhh Two Fist Charlie, he's an alien bounty hunter who has cybernetic muscles, Psy-ber dreadlocks that let him hack machines and people's brains, and wields both a double barreled box fed explosive cannon and er...a magic sword he found here on earth that replaces the broken edge of it with the psychic energy of the wielder's own anger. His name is Two Fist Charlie because that was the name a kid who was the first person he met on earth gave him, and he hunts a race of parasitic biowarrior space demons who have four eyes and burrow into females to conduct a wicked rebirth ritual through their wombs that causes them to undergo a metamorphosis into a hyper evolved predator species optimized to kill the hosts.
He was told he needed a mask on earth to hide his identity so he shoved a headsock mask around his space helmet so he could let his psy-ber dreads hang out.
Not bad!!
The super dreads feel very authentically 90s.
I really needed something to make sense for that Psy-ber pun and also because he's fundamentally a predator if he was a good guy ripoff ergo he had to have dreads despite being a weird lizard alien. These problems solved eachother.
What’s the team called?
Whatever it is, we need to include an X or Z, ESPECIALLY if its forced.
>THE EXZEPTIONALZ
Bicep circumference needs to be bigger than your IQ to enter

This is a good thread. A much needed palate cleanser from all the garbage in the catalogue. Thank you, mspanons.
This thread needs more mascots in extreme sports gear

Forgot The damn image
Not very good one but here's my 90's oc, Shadow X.
>Solos all of fiction
honestly I think the syringes don't fit, up until that detail this felt played straight.
Even the triple-X jock strap? I think the whole thing is pretty clearly parodic.
>not EXPUNGES all of fiction
Come on man
frick me man how did I miss that lmfao
True, didnt realize that despite exxagerating it as much as I could it still aint even in total joke zone, should replace them with about ten ammo pouches
>replace them with about ten ammo pouches
honestly yeah, take them off or replace them with pouches and it's a better image if you ask me.
Need suggestions for one of the characters in thread to brutally murder him (and how they'll do it)
holy shit it's Deathcry's long lost sister!
That's the midget leader of the Wild CATS.
He's totally in my face!
Posting in an epic bread
I went for a gross out superhero. Probably not the best example, and he definitely wouldn’t make it at 90’s image, but I didn’t just want to make Blüüdwyyld The Rapist Murderer. I call him Throw-Up Chuck.
>Charles “Chunks” Corker was a fat kid who was always sick. Everybody at School made fun of him for always throwing up.
>One day, he gets abducted by aliens who feed him a strange alien sandwich.
>When Chuck wakes up, he realizes he the ability to throw up a variety of materials, from acid to whip cream.
>Chuck decides to use his powers to save the day (and hopefully get a girl to go to the dance with him).
Realistically he’d probably get killed off in some other characters series, but I had fun making him. Feel free to give him an edgy redesign and tragic backstory. Maybe make him a school shooter or something, I don’t know.
Boogerman has a new sidekick.
Forget edgy, here's the forgotten 90's indie comedy parody superhero THE SOCK, draw by a guy who did two issues and never did anything else again.
Man the 90's really was follow of wacky parody heroes Madman, The Tick, The Jam, All the one shots, the Mask, etc.
Don't forget the Maxx and Savage Dragon.
Frick it, I made Blüüdwyyld The Rapist Murderer.
>His mom was raped in an alleyway while he was being born.
>His father raped him all throughout his life
>His teachers raped him throughout his schooling
>But when his girlfriend is raped and murdered in the same alleyway as his mother, that’s a bridge too far.
>So he buys up a frickton of guns and decides to kill any rapists he sees, starting with his father.
>Perverts beware, Blüüdwyyld The Rapist Murderer roams these streets.
Laughed for a good minute at his name
> >But when his girlfriend is raped and murdered in the same alleyway as his mother, that’s a bridge too far.
I take this to mean that up until that point he took all the rape in stride and lived a well-adjusted childhood.
“Don’t cry over spilled rape” -Yung Bluudwyyld
Nvm I thought he was a rapist and a murderer not a rapist murderer
>10,000 hours in ms paint
Looks just like something out of Long Halloween
Hallowpoint!
He's burning his very soul to shoot people with, or something. He thinks his heart was replaced by the spirit of a dying angel, but it's actually more of a wrathful fallen angel. Potent spiritual power spills out of his eyes and fingertips. He's not a very nice fellow!
Forgot to post my image. 10 trillion hours in MS Paint.
Gotta stat some of these frickers up in B.L.O.O.D.P.O.U.C.H.
For Cinemaphilemrades, I have uploaded Rob Liefeld's BLOODP.O.U.C.H. to /tg/ where pdf uploads work
grab a copy from the PDF share thread
thanks anon.
>thought its a parody
>Its real
man i wish i could understand tabletop gaming
Everything can be a traditional game. Just look at crab truckers and car lesbians, not to be confused with thirsty sword lesbians. It's incredibly hilarious to me that a bunch of horny neckbards and tumblristas came up with games that were so similar.
the shitpost rules-lite game system is a longstanding tradition. Once the game design bug bites you, you can't be rid of it. Game design is like lyme disease.
I once wrote a shitpost game about being drunken hobos for /tg/, then later adapted it to run other stuff and used it for a successful two-session game of Transformers.
>The creator of Justice Hobos
I'm in the same thread as royalty.....
I wish. Different absurd hobo system. Given I know of at least one MORE absurd drunk hobo system, it seems to be a popular genre for the kind of game you write but can't publish. This is my effort, and it later worked as a transformers game by swapping out the concepts and words attached to each die value.
https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/54983303/
I ran a monster hunters game in GURPS and one of the players was a homeless hippy named Moonflower who could see invisible things because overdosing on LSD in the 60s opened his 3rd eye.
Players have a need to be crazy hobos.
May i suggest redesign characters that are in public domain?
https://pdsh.fandom.com/wiki/Public_Domain_Super_Heroes
They are really fun to do here.
Why redesign something perfection here?
Because it’s the 90s, and it was the style at the time.
Oh yeah, these are some of my favorites!
What are public domain?
Bump for later
Not as cool as the others, but I just wanted to contribute

God, I can't believe it's been three years. I still remember the first thread when anon asked if he can talk about his MHA oc
Okay, on it. But first I'm gonna eat some supper.
Sorry, anon. My pen literally just fricked itself and I've been trying to fix it to no avail. This is gonna be it.
>no feet
Oh yeah, that's 90s.
>furry
Eugh. Definitely one of the problems with nu/tg/, way too much of that.
>furry
That's literally just one of the characters
I'm sure, but I don't like it.
ONE MORE GOD REJECTED
That still super fricking RADICAL.
>Sorry, anon. My pen literally just fricked itself and I've been trying to fix it to no avail. This is gonna be it.
Damn, and here I wanted to also request Crackdown to complete the "trinity".
Hope you fix your shit, anon. You art is very good.
*your
I've "done" some /coc/ stuff as well.
Oh hey, I remember your stuff
Crackdown is more 80s to me. Rorschach energy.
My man's got the Symphony of the Night afterimages.
>Crackdown is more 80s to me. Rorschach energy.
True, but LL and JH aren't that 90s either, that's kind of the whole point.
Just put a bunch of spikes and leather belts on him if his regular design isn't 90s enough.
I don't know if it's 90s, but it's pretty badass!
I get that swap but I don't remember what comic, Wolverine?
Don't know how to draw but tried my best.
You did great, anon, I love him.
I dub thee “Smokestax”
Introducing - Arsenalia!

love it, giving gold skull vibes
OP here, as promised. Real talk. I didn't expect this thread to last this long. Thank you all anons.
That's actually pretty good! I could see her being drawn by Michael Turner.
Messed up the my spelling... Oh no.
this is great
HamHead probably looks a little different.
this shit was fun as hell, thanks for the prompt. im working on a proper mspaint version of
before the thread dies at least
You’ve actually got some interesting character designs
it's a based thread. What did you expect? that it would die without anyone posting?
You people persons are very talented!
Can you guys do a villain? Someone who's a regular mook in the 50s but turns into Stryfe level ridiculousness in the 90s
I like this idea
>Mr. Weld was a minor villain of Doc Steel who only appeared in 2 issues in the 50's and got killed off in the 70's run. In the 90's, he makes a bargain in hell with the demon Slagphelgor to return as LORD SMELT
aw hell I just realized. It should be fixed now, if not you can try my email sketchgeek4@ gmail.com
you CAN have an edgy welder without upgrading him.
now draw his arch nemesis, mr dealt.
casino-card inspired hero
i can't draw for beans so have something i saved ages ago
Don't you people doing this a little too extreme?
>too extreme
Listen bub, the sooner we can paint some murderer scumbag's brains on the pavement, the sooner it won't be some innocent kid's. Only we've got enough pouches, belts and heavy ordinance to clean these disgusting streets even if its with some criminal waste's entrails.

You morons are a lot more talented than I would have guessed. Good stuff boys.
Next to Cinemaphile and /ic/, Cinemaphile is literally drawgay central
I miss the days when /tg/ had drawgays galore.
