nothing quite like a 10 minute wait for your first post, nice system
Brandon was too young and babyfaced for the role. Hell he's younger than Tom Welling, who was still playing "teen" Clark on TV at the time. He would have been good as very a young Superman just starting his career, but the premise of this movie is that he already had years of experience. They even gave him a kid.
12 year old spiderman is modern nonsense, part of the fad of turning every character into a teen or child version of an originally adult character.
spiderman had always been in his early to 20s before.
superman in the orginal flm was early 30s.also, try not to use homosexual language
I just pirated this yesterday after going on a Superman kick for the first time ever. But I ended up watching the hour and a half first episode of "The New Adventures of Lois and Clark" which was freaking great. Highly recommend it and apparently the entire first season is amazing but then the show goes downhill.
>take years trying to make a new Superman movie >just do a sequel to a 35 year old film
Bravo everyone >shit this movie didn’t have enough action
So they hire Snyder …bravo again
Literally the easiest character to make into a fun light hearted film and they screw up every time
I was superconfused if Snyder's superman was a followup to this or a reboot, or some weird combination of both. Then Superman vs Batman came out and I had no idea what was going on except my DBZ fan friend hated it..
This was a follow-up to the first two Superman movies made by Richard Donner, and it ignores the actual two other sequels: Superman III and Superman IV: Quest For Peace. Hell, it even ignores some version of Superman II, because Donner was kicked out during the production of the second movie since the studio wanted something lighter and more comedic and so you've to versions of the second movie. This one followed up on the original director's cut.
Meanwhile Man of Steel was supposed to be a spin-off of the Christopher Nolan's Batman movies before Nolan threw a freak out and BvS happened.
Some truly great superman moments strung together by a terrible story
Yeah it was terrible
Better than Snydershit
He sucked off Singer to get the job.
That's bullshit, but I actually do believe it.
...and yes, it's somehow better than Snydershit...which had great promise but mehs the frick out fast.
Every male in every Bryan Singer movie sucked him off for the role.
Hugh jackman, patrick stewart, james marsden all did??????
Im not surprised ian mckellen did, he probably did it without knowing the plot of the movie
Are you really surprised that everyone you listed is a gaylord? I'd be surprised if any of them were straight.
yea, i liked it
Me too
Lex Luthor in this scared me as a kid. I also didn't understand why there was so little fighting, but I kept watching it over and over anyway.
because parker posey made your peepee feel funny perhaps?
Nah, now I think it was because I already watched Spiderman and Harry Potter a few dozen times and there was nothing else.
>peepee
homosexual
>Incels will cry all day about, "tfw no gf" instead of seducing a terminally ill rich woman and using the money she leaves them to go pick up easy chicks.
I really liked him as a successor to Reeves' Superman. Shame the movie itself is nothing special.
Not really, but I remember eating an entire box of the cereal and it turned my shit blue.
P.S. I might be a bot because FUUUUCCCKK these captchas.

oh yeah that shit was happening to me a couple of months ago

He conveyed a certain innocence that I thought suited Superman. A bit too young for sure, but he didn't come across like a twinkish Spider-Man proxy.
Agreed. I don't know if it was the contacts or something else, but he came across as an alien.
Overall, not terrible casting but mediocre movie.

Spider-man was a high school student for decades.
He was a high school student for 3-4 years in the 60s
>spiderman had always been in his early to 20s before
He got his powers in high school
It was good
Was this intended as a sequel to the old movies or as its own continuity?
Same continuity as the Christopher Reeves movies. Kind of a soft-reboot/requel like the new Halloween movies.
I dont like this movie because a fricking pajeet beat up superman
Ik because of the kryptonite but come on a fricking indian henchman????
Who's ready for Superman: Legacy? Let's goooooo!
Ted (2012) made fun of it, calling it godawful.

Routh should be returned.
I remember the ad that zooms in on his eye as he's shot.
I saw the movie but don't remember anything but that.

WROOOOONNNNGGGGG
I like the scene
where's the chinaman that goes with him
The airplane scene is the best Superman action sequence ever made and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
Space listening and plane chasing were good. Everything else was mediocre to bad.
"Sir that's ludicrous why didn't superman just punch the robot?"
