Least it’s not a reboot or spin-off.
I mean technically it’s an adaptation of an already existing game
So Nickelodeon's Pickle And Peanut mixed with Fish Hooks wow Nick 10 years late to copy that.
Gee i wonder how will they screw this one like It's Pony! and Middlemost Post
looks alright
can't wait for the porn
well, this is the bottom of the barrel, they can't go any lower creative wise, I hope.
The sad thing is they can always go lower and they always do. There is no floor with how creatively bankrupt western animation can be.
I feel like any information or character in that video I could've pulled from the image you posted. It had the same entertainment value as a screenshot of itself. Impressive.
Well this looks half dece- aaaand it's canceled
>The Simpsons did it again
Well, I will say from this short clip it has good characters that you can grasp their personality quickly and the tone is more subtle in its humor and not obnoxious. But I fear Scissors has the qualities of possibly become a bully down the line and Paper could end up becoming an unsympathetic and insufferable with his genius (ala Lisa Simpsons) and Rock could just become stupid.
I feel there is a hint of Ed, Edd n Eddy in here just with different ingredients but only time will tell if it will become better or worse or it will be TREATED better or worse.
See, this is a good take. The characters' personalities are on clear display, and there's some decent comedic potential to come from that. Lazy premise that anyone could've put together, yeah, but the execution of said premise and the world around these characters is what will determine how good or bad this show may turn out to be.
I really love the background art on Regular Show
>file name
Heh.
I can hear this image. Easily one of my favourite Regular Show montages
Don't compare this shit to Regular Show you autist.
Nickelodeon just has no more content after the early 2000's
All of their merch is nostalgbait cough Nickelodon All-Stars Brawl.
With characters just of the 90's-2000's and FRICKING LAUGH HOOS.
Then what was everything after Avatar?
Were El Tigre and Harvey Beaks just jokes to you?
>from the creators of Disney Channel's Bizaardvark
>their other writing credits being Brickleberry/Paradise PD, Momma Named Me Sheriff, and Robot Chicken Season 11
This is a very uninspired premise, but the "odd couple" trio dynamic shows a little potential.
Gives me Pickle and Peanut vibes.
Looks like Fish Hooks.
I'm surprised nobody come up with this idea before.
Because it's a shit idea, there is no reason for these characters to be a rock, paper and scissors respectively. If they were humans or animals, nothing would change.
What is with you guys' obsession with Greenblatt's Disney TVA project? As far as we know, it's still just a pilot in development, not a confirmed upcoming series. The fact we don't even have a name should keep y'all from overhyping this alleged "show."
Disney's definitely got the most promising slate of cartoons at the moment, but Greenblatt's thing is not what you should be heralding as the face of their current movement.
I don't know if I'm in the minority here but CN's upcoming stuff seems like it has the most potential. Greenblatt's Disney stuff will be good I'm sure but it's probably going to be episodic just like everything else they're doing
No idea why you're using "episodic" in a derogatory manner.
To me, Hamster & Gretel is maybe the only upcoming DTVA project I'm hesitant about, but everything else has me hyped. CN's stuff does sound exciting, but something about Invincible Fight Girl's designs just disinterests me for some reason. I'm also not a big wrestling fan, so hopefully they can make up for that by just making a solid show with interesting characters regardless.
>To me, Hamster & Gretel is maybe the only upcoming DTVA project I'm hesitant about, but everything else has me hyped.
With Hamster And Gretel, Disney is just moronic with it's promotion literally the Annecy poster is better than that sneak peek
Well shit. That's way better promo art than what we've officially gotten up to this point, but I'm still more interested in the brother than I am in the two main leads.
I'm hoping it's like Hey Arnold! and Phineas and Ferb, where the main character isn't actually the one the series title's named after. Assuming a big part of H&G's heart comes from the bond between two siblings with many years between them, this might be the case.
This still looks like dogshit, don't tell me you people are actually going to trick yourselves into thinking this is good
These look like uninspired and boring anime ripoffs
If I wanted to watch anime I’d watch anime not a shitty calarts imitation
Use real words, anon.
I'm still somewhat optimistic despite one of the executives making a moronic comment saying girls graduate out of animantion at a centern age
that was disney lol
https://worldscreen.com/tvkids/amy-friedman-talks-cartoonito-success-live-action-expansion/
>On the live-action expansion, Friedman noted: “Girls often graduate out of animation. Some of our most incredible competitors have been at the live-action game for a long time. We know that’s what girls want. With live action, we’re excited to reflect the world as it is, inviting girls in without alienating the boys. We do that through single-camera and multi-cam comedies and dramas.”
I hope a more tech-savvy executive showed Friedman the effects her words had on so many people. She better be embarrassed for saying something so foolish. Not only did her statement harken back to CN Real, one of the biggest failures in the network's history, but it also sent women WAY back by insinuating that animation "isn't for them." Fricking ridiculous that someone so dismissive of cartoons would be sitting in such a high and influential position for a major network.
what people forget is that CN Real worked and did this exact same thing but for boys. If they drive away girls they have nobody left
>Disney's definitely got the most promising slate of cartoons at the moment
Honestly this if we include the productions of their other divisions
Pixar
>Win Or Lose
>Sparkshorts
Marvel Studios
>Spiderman Freshman Year
>X-Men 97
>Marvel Zombies
WDAS
>Short Circuit
>Tiana
>Moana The Series

Lucasfilm
>LEGO Star Wars Specials
>Tales Of A Jedi
>Visions
>The Bad Batch
Disney TVA

>Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur
>Hamster And Gretel
>Kiff

>Pretty Freekin Scary
>Unnamed Pet Resort Project
>Show By Cheyenne Curtis

>Rhona Who Lives By The River
I wonder what are they gonna announce in 2 days on the Disney Channel panel, on Saturday pic related was leaked mentioning it was a DTVA production just greenlight with an anon pointing out it was the second show from the creators of Kiff who will go by the name Suburbion.
I feel like not enough attention is being directed at The Thousand Secrets of the Gudin Family: https://twitter.com/radrappy/status/1287102631249235968
I remember a DTVA employee mentioning it was if Encanto and Tim Burton had a baby so im curious how will it work since The Thousand Secrets of the Gudin Family sound very lore based than episodic
Interesting that The Thousand Secrets of the Gudin Family was pitched on Summer 2020, apparently based on the trademark registration, it seems it got picked up as a pilot and animation test on March 2021.
Glad that Harvey Beaks/Jellystone/Big City Greens alumnis got lucky with getting their own shows at Disney after Nickelodeon frick Harvey Beaks
Circuit
They're making a cartoon about the old robot movies?
Those human designs look like they came from Middlemost Post
Because Greenblatt has a good track record
>Disney's definitely got the most promising slate of cartoons at the moment, but Greenblatt's thing is not what you should be heralding as the face of their current movement.
I wonder what method of storytelling he will use, Jellystone! brought back the wacky out of context slapstick shit from Chowder, so i wonder if Unnamed Pet Resort Project will be another slapstick comedy from him or the most likely case something comfy and down to earth like Harvey Beaks
morons like
is obsessed with this shit that it screams a "Greenblattgay/Harvey Beaksgay". I mean Greenblatt is nice outspoken dude, who knows how to build foundations outta anything possible, but that’s all considered. OTOH, there’s nothing perfect about him since, he’s still like what others would refer or considered him as. What doesn’t help is that >131265041 brings this shit up anytime if the topic of the thread is about the upcoming DTVAs, especially if the ones that’s being sparsely made by alumnis from different shows, and if Greenblatt’s upcoming stuff alongside with others from BCG, and acts like HB is the reason why BCG exists and treats it like, it’s the second coming of christ.
Honestly i prefer Greenblattgay over Industrycuck and Sharktalegay
>Honestly i prefer Greenblattgay over Industrycuck and Sharktalegay
I disagree
>fricking Rock Paper Scissors
The simulation is falling apart, fellas.
/co/, you literally wanted an original Nicktoon and now you're disappointed.
After shows like Fanboy and Chum Chum, Sanjay and Craig, and Middlemost Post, which were all like Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life, what kind of show do you frickers even want?
Concept is terrible but ithe show itself isn't half bad. I sense there's some understanding of comedic timing. It honestly feels more like a Disney/CN show than a Nick show which for Nickelodeon's sake is a good thing.
>Oh Benson my good man! Have you seen the newest Nicktoon? I call it Quartz Parchment Shears! Ah-Ha-Ha!
underrated
I need Rock porn, NOW.
How fast will it be sent to Nicktoons to die at an awful time slot for failing to achieve Spongebob levels of popularity in the first 17 seconds? Bets now.
Y'know, this defeatist attitude you guys always have with brand-new cartoons from Nickelodeon isn't the gotcha you think it is. Maybe try ACTUALLY checking out these shows when they premiere? If it turns out you enjoy the show, try talking about it in cases other than when it's in danger of cancellation? I promise you, no one's gonna care to acknowledge a show whose fans are so fricking self-deprecating and pitiful.
Show some support for the more promising new Nick shows instead of only ever talking about the newest unnecessary gimmick they're pulling with their whole "SpongeBob Cinematic Universe," and then whining when that's all Nick will ever keep putting their money into. Have some fricking hope for once and at least PRETEND Nick is capable of becoming more than just The SpongeBob Channel.
You can’t really please Nick fans, no matter if it’s original.
It’s Pony was the last Nicktoon people on here did like even if it didn’t catch on. Nobody here ever likes Middlemost Post, not even the sexy purple toast lady made people interested.
>cumtown animated series
It's another lol so random show with paper-thin characters and a "hook" so gay you can tell the suits ate that shit up.
This cartoon will outlive either of those, because this world is ran by satan and he loves making you suffer
No idea how this'll turn out, but it's just inherently funny to me that such a show concept will exist and air on fricking television worldwide. Nick's really scraping at the bottom of the barrel now if THIS was the pitch that sold them out of all submissions for their Shorts Program.
Again, I could end up loving this show dearly, but I still can't help but laugh that this got the go-ahead from a whole team of executives hoping it could be their next SpongeBob. Even SpongeBob was backed by a pretty genius vision manned by an artist with tons of creative yet approachable ideas for an underwater world thanks to his deep appreciation for marine science and an equally deep understanding of what makes a story hold onto your attention.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Exhibit C. This one puts a smile on my face. Stephen Hillenburg was a fricking genius, and I doubt even he could've imagined the massive footprint he'd leave on this world.
