There would be no race bending with Silver Surfer. He’s literally a silver alien. Whoever plays him will be CGI and/or dipped in silver body paint. Can literally be played by any ethnicity.
Gender swaps can work. People care far more about tomboy Pidge in nuVoltron than they do classic nerd boy Pidge, and Bad Guys Webs sworked despite Tarantula being male in the original books. But female Surfer is a pointless change, especially when the MCU female heroes have been flopping.
Though I’m sure people will be fine with a sexy naked silver woman with curves, we all know that’s not how it’s gonna be. And she will get r34 regardless.
