Woody, in the beginning of both films, attempts to save a toy(s) from Andy's front yard (Wheezy and the toys in the garbage bag).
Both films have an old character who first appears nice and welcoming but turns out to be a sinister villain because of past traumatizing experiences as a toy (Stinky Pete and Lotso).
Both films have a Buzz back to his deluded space ranger self (Utility Belt Buzz and Demo Mode Buzz)
Woody, in both films, gets stolen and brought to a place where he meets new friends and learns valuable information (Woody in Al's office and Woody in Bonnie's Room)
Both films have a flashback scene of a traumatic event in a toy's life (Jessie and Lotso)
Both films have a villain who gets what they deserve (by getting an unlikely new owner who puts them in an uncomfortable settings with other toys-Stinky Pete in a backpack with a Barbie and Lotso tied to the front of a truck with other critters).
The toys in both films are trying to get home to Andy and make it just in time (Andy coming home from Cowboy Camp and Andy about to leave for college).
Both films' climax take place in a large scale, exiting environment (Airport and Ti-County Dump).
Didn't read. But people have made Pokemon and Avatar sound exactly the same by using vague language like that. You can do it with anything.

Not him but it is pretty simple, both villains are a sweet old man that couldn't have a owner and turn into a twist villain, both have Woody and Buzz doing the same things and ending up in the same situations both share the same theme of their owner growing up that wans't part of the original movie.

Toy story 2 is literally toy story 1 but they have to save woody instead of buzz.
have a nice day homosexual, the only remarkable scene in toy story 2 is the old man fixing Woody. Stop being delusional and shut the frick you fricking moron trying to shit on the third one just cause you're trying to be get attentions you miserable c**t
I wasn't really a fan of Up or Wall-E but there were still well done. I enjoyed Cars 1. Everything in "The Decline" era was shit maybe with the exception of Incredibles 2. Nowhere near as good as anything in "The Golden Age" era but still not completely shit. "The Decomposing Corpse" era looks so shit i haven't bothered to check any.
they changed after Cars 1 due to Disney buying them in early 2006. For the record, the reason why The Incredibles turned the way it did is because their relationship with Disney wasn't going well, so Brad Bird was free to do what he wanted
i don't care for Ratatouille. Not very compelling character personalities (Remy is a snob, Linguini is a generic klutz, Skinner is a cartoon villain, and Colette is an underwritten tsundere)
Shit. Worthless nothing tacked on to a completed trilogy. Basically just a bunch of subplots with no main plot. Retcons a relationship between Woody and Bo as some kind of action couple when they weren't that at all. Bo is now a girlboss. Disrespectful to Buzz and turns him into a moron because Disney doesn't like that Tim Allen doesn't have the correct political opinions. Literally the worst thing Pixar has ever done.
Up is the beginning of the decline.
The movie literally starts out strong and has the weakest ending of any pixar film to that point.
3 doesn't have the same charm as the first, but still good.
Cars is also a fun movie. It's no legend, but I seen it more than most other pixar movies.
It is not that I disagree, I am not a huge Pixar nerd and do not consider myself the best one to give such opinions, but rather that nobody in the thread thought beyond "I like this, I don't like that".
I've never been much of a pixar fan or kept track of their work but the unnecessary-ness of toy story 4 and the redundant rehash of incredibles 2 is what made me realize that they weren't the same studio that I once loved
Mostly accurate but I would change the naming for Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age
Golden Age is much more a coming of age. They are rough around the edges and still have a lot to smooth out both technologically and story telling wise.
Silver Age is their true Golden Age. They push the limits and are the 3D animation company in the world. Incredibles is their height.
Bronze Age is more a Silver Age. It isn't as good as their peak but it is still no doubt high quality but the edge of the originals has been lost and they start to become sappier and much more sequel driven. Inside Out becomes the ultimate Pixar film. They started with "what if toys had feelings" and "what if bugs had feelings" and finally end with "what if feeling had feelings."
i love how every Toy Story film had a different producer. Franchises like Shrek, Ice Age, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Hotel Transylvania and How to Train Your Dragon always had the same person as producer for each film. Pixar didn't do this with Toy Story and Cars films, neither with Monsters University or Finding Dory. The sole exception is Incredibles 2. John Walker came back to produce it
>toy story 3
>golden age
It ends with UP
No, it ends with Toy Story 3.
Toy Story 3 is just a shittier Toy Story 2
No it isn't.
Yes it is.
No it isn't.
Yes it is.
I am not the same person
I don't care about the version
but I couldn't resist
being part of this
how is toy story 3 like toy story 2? their stories are nothing alike

Yep.
both are good

You sound like a massive homosexual so I won't finish reading your post. Frick you.
And then you complain the other anon didn't bother to read your schizo shitpost, as expected from a moron
I'm not the same anon moron I just opened this thread and saw your post frick you
You're both morons
>Toy story 2 is literally toy story 1
The villains are different, the premise is different, the way the characters are used is different.
Nope
nah frick off
>skipping Cars 1
>Inside Out and Coco - "decline"
>Soul and Luca - "rotting corpse"
The real shame is how shit this chart is.
>inside out and soul
The exceptions
>Coco and Luca
formulaic and safe
>Inside Out and Coco - "decline"
Bumps of quality in an overall decline.
>Soul and Luca - "rotting corpse"
Yes.
>Cars 2
Didn't watch.
>Brave
It's meh.
>Monster's University
Unpopular opinion, but I loved it.
>Inside Out
Decent, but overrated
>Good Dinosaur
Wonky, but not as bad as everyone says
>Finding Dory
Didn't watch.
>Cars 3
Didn't watch
>Coco
Didn't watch
>Incredibles 2
Typical sequel quality (ie, uneeded but okay)
>Everything after Incredibles 2
Didn't watch (heard Soul was good though)
Brave was a charming film by the Prince of Egypt director, Monsters University has a great second half, and Inside Out is Pete Docter's best work

Soul was great though.
>great
too big a word.
It would've been better if he stayed dead at the end having him come back to life felt like the whole thing was pointless
Luca was a good movie
It has so much charm. Reminded me of Coco.
Turning Red was mediocre but fun.
I thought Cinemaphile liked Turning Red? Or was it just the e-girlgays?
You edited this. Toy Story 3 is part of the decline.
I fixed it. Toy story 3 is the end of the golden age.
No, you perverted it with your opinion. Toy Story 3 is part of the decline. The beginning, in fact.
No, it's the end of the golden age. Stop polluting the thread.
>lmao let's just repeat TS2
>pointless sequel
No, Toy Story 3 started decline just like Toy Story 4
>perfectly completes the trilogy and gives a satisfying end to the Woody/Andy story
Yeah, I'm thinking Golden Age.
Incredibles 2 should be in the decomposing corpse row, otherwise correct
i don't care for Ratatouille. Not very compelling character personalities (Remy is a snob, Linguini is a generic klutz, Skinner is a cartoon villain, and Colette is an underwritten tsundere)
Cars 2 was still better than fricking kung fu Panda 2 that year. It didn't feel like a direct to vídeo sequel at least
Frick off
>when I was a kid
>leaving behind childish things
>an adult now
stop watching movies for children
>le nostalgia
Nope.
what about toy story 4?
TS3 sucked
Unpopular opinion but half of decline is worse than most of decomposing corpse.
Up is the beginning of the decline.
The movie literally starts out strong and has the weakest ending of any pixar film to that point.
3 doesn't have the same charm as the first, but still good.
Cars is also a fun movie. It's no legend, but I seen it more than most other pixar movies.
If I may submit my own revision
I hope this is readable, I had to considerably decrease its size
This is S tier for effort alone.
It is not that I disagree, I am not a huge Pixar nerd and do not consider myself the best one to give such opinions, but rather that nobody in the thread thought beyond "I like this, I don't like that".
I've never been much of a pixar fan or kept track of their work but the unnecessary-ness of toy story 4 and the redundant rehash of incredibles 2 is what made me realize that they weren't the same studio that I once loved
they also did the opening scene of 2000 Buzz Lightyear direct to video film. Their only work from 2000 alongside For The Birds
This is based as frick especially since you put the early shorts on there. I'm using this from now on. Thread's complete trash otherwise.
Mostly accurate but I would change the naming for Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age

It isn't as good as their peak but it is still no doubt high quality but the edge of the originals has been lost and they start to become sappier and much more sequel driven. What changed? I think putting out 2 films a year is hurting them.
