The studio tried to claim that the photos are "fake" because some or all of the people in them aren't the actual actors but their stand-ins (so, you know, they have to be approximately the same height, build, and complexion as the actors for whom they're serving as stand-ins, and they HAVE to be wearing the same costumes) and because the photos weren't "official."
So they were lying basically. The people in the photos are wearing the ACTUAL costumes with the ACTUAL props and they are, if not the actors themselves, at least similar enough in looks to be used to set up lighting and camera angles and suchlike.
