have a nice day.
Should I use some buzzword from /b/ instead?
Instead of sticking your hand in garbage or vomit, you could not stick your hand in either.
you must be really underage if one word makes you seethe this hard
Their called cliches
not the same meaning
you are the gay who wants to replace a normal word with a buzzword from Cinemaphile or something
Imagine believing tropes are real.
imagine derailing a simple thread because you are too autistic and angry over one single word holy shit you homosexuals are unbelievable
>you are the gay who wants to replace a normal word with a buzzword from Cinemaphile or something
You are literally using a buzzword, moron.
>can't talk without using buzzwords
No you should frick off.

>In other news a man has jumped out of his window ending his life and his entire family is devastated and don’t know why? I'm sorry, k*ll
Cool Daimos thread guys.
I like Daimos for the violent mecha fights myself. Anyone who only knows it for the love story will be surprised at how brutal the mech fights can get.
A reminder: banning Duel works.
This is applicable to this topic how exactly? He's not even here, dipshit.
Really now?
None of his mannerisms have been present, quit sperging out about duel.
Maybe it is some other guy mad about being banned, but "trope hatred" is kind of unique Duel spergery. It's his version of Sonic's arms being colored wrong.
>"trope hatred" is kind of unique Duel spergery
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
You do realize TVTropes unbanned his account shortly after those posts, right? It's like you're being deceptive.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=5cma6iojg5o27puhulc24sje&page=751
>It's like you're being deceptive.
Anon, Duelrager is not someone that gives a damn about truth, he wants to control anything and everything remotely related to the board. Case in point:
https://1dCinemaphile/wiki/Talk:/m/
He's been actively vandalizing the /m/ page on 1dCinemaphile since July (which I guess shows how bad moderation there has gotten). "No recommendations!" "No websites unless I approve of them!" "No jokes!" You can see it on the history page too. He's gotten called out by at least four different people.
>blanking a page constantly while autistically ranting, eventually getting most of what you wanted, and being pissy it's not everything
That's pretty fricking embarrassing. We're supposed to take what this guy says and takes pictures of seriously?
So what? Duel is the Troperager.
>"I admit to leaving out important information to better suit my story"
The point is Duel is the one person raging about tropes, derailing this thread:
>Bringing up drama needs to be an insta-ban
Eliminate the source of the drama, and the drama goes away. Codename: V used to have his ragers, but where are they now? Nowhere, because Codename: V got banned. Banning works.
>Eliminate the source of the drama, and the drama goes away
So ban you, the b***h that never shuts up about him? Good idea.
>I don't need to learn because I won't be tested about it
hate Am*ricans so much
The whole point of default anonymity is to avoid this kind of crap and you guys are just leaning into it.
/m/ is pretty done for as a board. We need mods that stop drama in its tracks. Bringing up drama needs to be an insta-ban and this is what happens when it isn't. It just bubbles up and oozes all over the place. That 1dCinemaphile page is evidence of what letting guys like that going off unimpeded leads to.
But you got the previous janny removed, even though he'd delete duelraging posts 90% of the time.
>But you got the previous janny removed
I didn't get anybody removed, only mods can remove janitors.
>even though he'd delete duelraging posts 40% of the time.
Fixed.
https://1dCinemaphile/wiki/Talk:/m/
>Also, the "board wiki" is entirely your wiki, not /m/'s. /m/ has disowned it.
>Admit it Yapool, you are responsible for that wiki, at least in it's current form. /m/ abandoned that wiki in 2017 and as is it's just not an unbiased source.
https://desuarchive.org/m/thread/21012346/#21018720
>More to the point, many of the Research Links (a pastebin that Duel tried to forced into /srwg/ OP) have a complete lack of Technical Standard, which is:
>Voluntary consensus standards, which are standards developed or adopted by voluntary consensus standards bodies, domestic (national), regional and international.
>One glaring issue towards a couple of the 'research' sites linked is that it has a sole contributor that doubles as it's creator and rulemaker.
>And one single person does not an consensus make.
So yeah, it's a very soring point for it still.
Nah, you got your ass blown the frick out. This topic is proof you don't go e a shit about truth and you're obsessed with this guy.
Good morning sir.
You keep bring up your points but not his. I smell deflection.
You're not screencaping the history page like you do other things. After reading the page for myself I get why.
He knows he lost, he can't share the responses because those are rational and aren't of a childish demeanor. It also hows what not banning him leads to: More b***hing.
I thought you didn't want any more drama?
>"Your wiki sucks!"
>"I invite you over to make fixes you see fit"
>"No!"
Talk about salty.
>Reddit spacing
Daimos thread?
>that's why people
It's just you. Other people complain but you're the only one that goes out of your way to talk about him.
Perhaps, but my point stands: nobody's helping Duel with his wiki because he's doing awful, shitty things.
I thought it was because he was the guy running the wiki and conflict of interest was the problem?
What? No. It's because he's behaving badly.
>What? No. It's because he's behaving badly.
>More to the point, many of the Research Links (a pastebin that Duel tried to forced into /srwg/ OP) have a complete lack of Technical Standard
>One glaring issue towards a couple of the 'research' sites linked is that it has a sole contributor that doubles as it's creator and rulemaker.
????
>he's doing awful, shitty things.
The collage shit you have a point with, but the other two?
>necrospam
Wow, on page 10 and it gets deleted soon after and on pages nobody has active conversations on so they're unlikely to see it. Such turribul!
>sperging out over tropes
You do realize TVTropes has fostered a pretty bad reputation for not having nuance and general snobbery, right? This isn't a duel only thing, I've seen people on other websites complain about the use of the word tropes. Duel is an assclown for denying they even exist, but complaining someone used the term? On Cinemaphile of all places? Come on now.
>Wow, on page 10 and it gets deleted soon after and on pages nobody has active conversations on so they're unlikely to see it.
That's forced memes and a petty excuse to say it's 'board culture' when it shows up thousand of times in the archive. 'Culture', as shitty as a place as Cinemaphile, is made by many, many individuals. One butthole spamming these is not 'board culture', it's imposition, and no one likes that. No one here will ever truly like an butthole like that, hence why he'll be alone on that wiki and whatever other 'project' he tries to 'make'.
Damn that's one salty response. Most anons here don't care about forced memes if they're not in sight. This is a you problem, not a board problem.
A board's culture is dependent on just image reposts that will eventually 404 on an archive instead of regular topics and discussions and the attitudes surrounding them, got it.
>Duel is an assclown for denying they even exist, but complaining someone used the term? On Cinemaphile of all places? Come on now.
Derailing a Daimos thread like this
is hardly just complaining.
>This is a you problem, not a board problem.
True. Similarly, Duel not getting any wiki volunteers is a Duel problem. One which he could solve by being a better person.
>Derailing a Daimos thread like this
have a nice day. is hardly just complaining.
Are you sure that post was even by him? "have a nice day" is a very generic response on this site.
>Are you sure that post was even by him?
Considering
, yes.
neither of those posts have his mannerisms
has his mannerisms.
No they don't.
Yeah, I'm sure it's just some totally separate "trope talk" hater, and Duel just coincidentally arrived a bit later at
(notice that the poster admits being Duel).
Arrived a bit later at
, meant to post.
You say that sarcastically but I believe that's what happened.
Are you okay with morons coming here and being all "lol dude I know this trope xD" just because Duel doesn't like them?
So Duel should be allowed to derail threads like this one, because otherwise hypothetical morons might come in and post things Duel disapproves of? According to
, we have exactly the opposite problem!
>So Duel should be allowed to derail threads like this one
YOU are the one that fricking derailed it numbuts.
Duel didn't derail this thread, if anything you did, and I appreciate your labor in exposing the board's resident moron but you missed this time.
The high melodrama of the 70s robot shows is the best part. Epic stories of clashing civilizations, factional dysfunction, tragedy, romance, all that. They even did antiheros right. The violence levels were extraordinary without needing to be graphic. It was all so good. Somewhere in the 1980s they started zooming in on graphic depictions of sex and violence and the worldbuilding became autistically detailed and the focus of shows became smaller. And all of that was cool in its own way, but the 70s style was almost gonzo in its scope, and I have come to prefer it despite initially being a big fan of the 80s style.
Is Vegeta based on him?
Their characters are completely different.
King Vegeta maybe.
More like Mr. Satan.
>Somewhere in the 1980s they started zooming in on graphic depictions of sex and violence and the worldbuilding became autistically detailed and the focus of shows became smaller.
Like what shows? Because that doesn't resemble most 80s TV mecha I can think of.
It always amuses me that he lives (although in disgrace) in the show but dies in almost every SRW game Daimos is in
SRW loves killing off dipshits whose home spared them
and Ru-Kain for some reason
Great Daimos thread, guys.
The Philippines is about to make a live-action version of Daimos after Voltes V has ended. What does /m/ this about it?
More surprised Combattler V wasn't next. Like the live action Voltes I'm not really interested.
Combattler V isn't that popular in the Philippines.
their loss
Combattler V is miles better than Voltes V
If memory serves me correctly, it was dubbed twice. First in the 1970s in English and in the late 1990s in Tagalog. It was even dubbed in native dialects.
Didn't work. Philippines still loved Voltes V over Combattler V.
Oh look, it's the "Combattler is miles better than Voltes V" schizo that never starts a Combattler V thread and only goes to Voltes V threads to make that post.
This is a Daimos thread though
Yes, but he still only responds every time Voltes V is brought up.
it's still relevant.
anon said Combattler V isn't popular in Philippine and I just said that it's their loss because it's objectively better show.
Voltes V felt like an abridged version of Combattler V, with all the character development thrown to the garbage to focus on "muh daddy!" for 40 episodes.
>The Daimos love story looks straight out of a typical Filipino TV
it's based on Romeo and Juliet.
>it's based on Romeo and Juliet.
And this refutes "looks straight out of a typical Filipino TV show" how...?
I never watched Filipino shows so Idk what are they like
>I never watched Filipino shows
Then don't reply with such an irrelevant post lol.

kek that Daimos looks better than everything in the Bayformers movies
Soon.
every live action x is shit by default
Is it starring Coco Martin www?
Probably Alden Richards (Hartfod).
We can meme it to reality. Like Keit-ai.
That's a joke poster though.
Looks more like a Richter than a Kazuya. Or the Philippine version of Heinel.
I don't get it. Japan casts pretty boys for old shows, and they hate it. But the Philippines does the same thing and they love it?
Well, in fairness to the Philippines, their deviations from the source material are forgivable because of the things they do decide to faithfully keep and reproduce.
Sex scene when?
Hell yeah, star birds. GO DINAMO!
Incredible how one man can bring this board to its knees. Incredible job Duel o7
He’s apparently “Public Enemy number one” towards multiple fandom’s across various forums throughout the past two decades
Dang, no wonder. Unfortunately I have nothing to add about Daimos mates, but it seems pretty cool. I got a friend who loves it.
He's been banned from 109 forums.
Just wait till New Year's to see the biggest Duel spectacle, when he inevitably attacks Cinemaphile's year-end collage with his full tard tenacity. It's the cringiest thing, because Duel's autism superpower is not understanding memes (hence things like abusing the ancap template). So he has no idea what the purpose of the collage is or what would be appropriate content to contribute, but he fights like hell to cram in personal grievances about video games and whatever.
The Daimos love story looks straight out of a typical Filipino TV show and it surprised me it was only the second most popular Japanese anime next to Voltes V.
>tfw they were smugposting back in the 1970s
Any BD links for Daimos with good subtitles?
Why is she in love with her brother?
she's even jealous of Erika because Kazuya loves her.
is the show trying to promote incest or are the subtitles confusing me?
She's your prototypical genki tomboy childhood friend.
They are not siblings. She uses 'brother' as a sort of affectionate honourific.
>Whole episode about the robot trying to see her nude to take pictures
>The most we get is him imagining her covering her chest and her taking naked pictures of the guys
>Combattler had full on breasts
Did she and afro dude hook up?
But who would y'all have play Kazuya though?
Was G Gundam's martial tracking wienerpit inspired by Daimos?
who would win btw?
in SRW A they fight to a draw and become bros
Absolutely yes.
how does he do the kicks?
He thinks really hard. Punch. Kick. It's all in the mind.
I presume he pushes a pedal like when he's driving while thinking hard about kicking. HIs robot has a truck mode like Optimus Prime.
So basically, like I do when I'm pissed at dumb people on the road.
Underrated violent super robot series.
Such a bummer that Daimos got easily disabled by lasers or machine guns in the end. At least Voltes V's final opponent (which is piloted by Heinel) is roughly of equal power and fought it to a double KO.
Stop shilling Voltes V in unrelated threads.
That show fricking sucks.
>40 episodes of "muh father" and "where's my heckin father!!??" and "is that a fricking obvious trap about my father? Let's fall into it because we want muh father!!!"
>father refuses to work with his sons to fight the aliens even though his kids are doing that already
>sudden "if we kill the bad guys we are like them.." That's after 30 episodes of killing bad guys lol
>bad guy realizes he's fighting his brothers the whole time. What does he do? Commits suicide lmao
>no romance
>no character development. It's just 5 kids want to see their daddy
Voltes V is overrated garbage
>sudden "if we kill the bad guys we are like them.." That's after 30 episodes of killing bad guys lol
You are aware this was after they realized they're half-Boazan and their father is Boazanian too, right?
it's still meaningless and as dumb as "oh wait, your mother is called Martha too lol let's be friends then XD" because those Boazan aliens are massacring millions of people already
>it's still meaningless and as dumb as
Realizing you're the same race as the invaders are is "worthless" to you? That's a stretch.
>because those Boazan aliens are massacring millions of people already
So since the American government is responsible for genociding multiple people, the average citizen should be punished for that too?
They pay the taxes that fund the military complex so yeah they probably should.
>They pay the taxes that fund the military complex
That's a halo reach right there. The Boazanian slave class is paying taxes to fund the military complex?
BTFO
>I won't fight those aliens that are bombing Japan and killing millions because... because.... because... THINK ABOUT THEIR CIVILIANS, OUR BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!!
they could just at least destroy the robots and save the pilots instead of having a crybaby meltdown for no good reason
Their "meltdown" lasted an episode or so and they figured out that the best course of action is eat the rich. What the frick are you talking about?
Can't use your giant robot in a narrow space station.
Daimos - what can I say, I was a fan of the show way back 1978-79. I love how the giant Robot got cool moves and stuff...As the years go by, and I got older, I started to re watched all the robot anime shows and geared myself more on the stories than the kiddie moves. Yes, I lost my interest with the Pseudo-Science and Kung Fu moves and inclined myself with the story and plot. To my surprise, only Voltes V stood the test of time; It has a story that I can relate to, specially with the Voltes Team who are dedicated young soldiers of Planet Earth. Daimos on the other hand became a story of a traitor; Kazuya, a supposedly Earth defender, fell in love with the Bhramin Princess and suddenly screaming bloody "EQUALITY" for both Bhramin and humans. The series conditions the young viewers to love your enemy but neglects the fact that the enemy had left countless millions of humans homeless, defiled, widows and orphans where as the Bramins are just inside their Pyramidion Base involved in some fake-Egyptian/Babylonian drama fest with their haughty and unrepentant rulers. There was also a scene almost the end that Kazuya beats General Sakomori Miwa without thinking as off why this officer had such a bigoted outlook against his beloved Bhramins?...Perhaps he had lost his family from one of their attacks...Now, I have grown fond of Voltes V that Voltes, instead of Daimos, had influenced me and my stories so tooth and claw I would defend the character...Now I have a question for you: You've seen the reason why I made this artwork, why automatically come to tell me all of this and not the guy who made the Daimos wins artwork?...As I said, this is only a reply against that of his doing in the first place.
