Post your bet on whether or not it’s back to the mansion

Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
No betting for me, I’m putting my bets that at least Original X-men will be the better O5 and do something fun with multiversal shit like it’s exiles
Krakoa won't hold up in posterity. You will have to read too many shit books like Excalibur and Marauders to get the full picture.
Never read either and I'm following along fine. hell, I'm not even reading Duggan. Just the Hickman and Gillen books and the cross-over events that directly tie to one another. I was reading the X-Force stuff until I started losing interest and aside from how exactly Colossus got mindcontrolled, you're not missing anything even remotely significant to the overall story, and even that's not something super important.
>You will have to read too many shit books like Excalibur and Marauders to get the full picture.
and no one read
?si=fyMlCAcFXdApqh39
Seriously what the frick were they thinking
>tfw there’s still more beyond this
are you moronic? Those are just different ways to collect the series. Do you think the X-Men hardcover is different from the trade paperback? How stupid are you? Do you also watch both the DVD and the blu ray?
homie did you think I posted the video because of the picture? Are you that moronic?
>back to the mansion
Absolutely not, frick the mansion. Have them all frick off to Shiar
Frick the haters, it was a great era
Needs to show more Betsy and Rachel tribbing.
that's being done by Steve Fox
Links?
it is more of a suggestion in a interview he did on AIPT
>AIPT: Finally, it’s become something of an X-Men Monday tradition for you to tease X-projects on the distant horizon (Dark X-Men was teased in December 2022 and then again in March 2023). SO, for all the curious — and patient — Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers fans hungry for information, what can you say about this juicy nugget from Gerry Duggan’s X page?
>Steve: Gerry who? Sorry, I have no idea what this is referring to.
>I kid, I kid, though Gerry did tease this PRETTY early compared to publishing plans. What I can say is that neither character appears in Dark X-Men, though I am writing both… and not in the same place. (They are NOT splitting up, so don’t start harassing me!)
>I’d guess we have a few months still before I can say anything more concretely here — and a few X-surprises BEFORE then that no one’s going to guess, like my chance to finally write one of my lifetime favorites and a story involving a character I got asked about quite a bit last winter…
>ends next year
OP if it wasn't over the moment it started it's certainly over before next year. it's over right now, anon.
frick the shills, they're moronic
don't forget that one time cyclops had them on an island in a California bay that could be bombarded by artillery and/or surrounded from multiple sides
krakoa was worse than the shitty status quo. that's the sad part
have sex incel
the ironic part is that i've had more sex with more sexual partners than literally anyone else i've ever met. i've put my dick in like 70 women but cry harder since you have no argument
back to mansion so hard that xavier assplanting back in the chair is going to leave back to future fire trail.
and then what?
then in seven years they will take over another island, just like Krakoa, as well has the time they took over Genosha
the patten is now mansion era, island era, mansion era, island era, mansion era...
makes sense
Maybe someday it'll be some shithole like Florida or something
I like the idea of superpowered Florida-Man shenanigans happening on Krakoa.
>Florida-Man
Wait a minute, isn't brevoort taking over after Fall of house of x? and what the frick means RISE of the powers of x?
great, back to shitty status quo with the tacky melodrama that used to paint every x-men story the color of the most uninteresting shit
It was fun while it lasted.
And none of the people b***hing about Krakoa will actually read the books
>the tacky melodrama that used to paint every x-men story the color of the most uninteresting shit
so... the krakoa era?
Back to formula!
nobody cares
Finally.
BUT you just know that what comes after will be worse.
yes
MCU synergy incoming lol.
Probably.
>Mutants lose Krakoa
>however they gain the Dominion instead
>create a whole new age of God Mutants who come up against the Dominion Machine Gods
>spawns at least a dozen new event series
Fuuuuuuuck this shit.
At that point, nobody will be reading. That's basically Cosmic Marvel territory, and so few people give a solitary shit about Cosmic Marvel.
>so few people give a solitary shit about Cosmic Marvel.
including anyone at an editorial level at Marvel
Oh, no, see, they'll be a Dominion but also living on Earth, using special Dominion Gates to travel back and forth which only mutants can use. Completely new and original concept, donut steel.
My dream is a Global Mutant support system. "An X around the world."
Mansion branches in multiple countries with the support of an International Mutant Law Organization.
And also continue the revivals.
My dream is 4 x books tops. X-men, New Mutants, X-Force and Wolverine.
>The Phoenix force comes back to magically solve all the mutants' problems again
Hickman set that up back in House and Powers when he said Dominions fear the Phoenix. It was always going to end this way.
>Rise of the Powers of X
So will they finally do something with the Phalanx plot? Because it feels like everyone after Hickman kind of forgot about that one, and even Hickman didn't do much with it.
I think thats done with.
Inferno set up that in timeline 10-A, the future muties destroyed the Dominions. And we know in 10-B, someone ascends into becoming a Dominion and is preventing other ascensions.
So it looks like they just completely dropped the machine Dominion plot by having them all killed off in the 10-A future, and replaced it with the Essex Dominion plot.
Which is moronic because machine Dominions was cool while all the Sinisters need to fricking die and not show up agaain for like ten years.
Back to the mansion with the O5 team. Magneto back and a villain.
that sounds pretty awful
reboot to right before bendis and have mutants pair off and start families. some decide to live domestic lives and others go on missions. it's not that hard to have it go back and forth for changes of pace either
Having Rightclops back would be cool, but he’d need a Beast tier reset to do that. I’m bored of Simpclops who just rolls over for Jean.
rightclops is basically magneto and mutant supremacy which directly leads to krakoa, so no, frick that
>reset beast
yes this is a requirement. wholesome beast is like ms frizzle but masculine and a chad team player.
how exciting. I am being sarcastic
So then we end the polygamy thing and get a love triangle between Scott, Jean and Logan. Also Emma goes full villain again.
X-Men should get Heroes Reborn'd for like 5 years. Go for the FoX-Men audience.
Shane there are a lot of dropped plot points that could have been best to explore
Inb4 the worst is yet to come.
Krakoa made the X-men into pretentious asshats but I kind of wish it didn't end. I like the change to the status quo and I don't want the mutants to get brutalized.
Just have all mutants frick off to Mars.
I don’t want it to end
Honestly me neither. The whole Krakoa thing, taking over mars, declaring themselves lords of the solar system, all that jazz...it was so fricking shit, but it was so fricking bad I was laughing the whole time. Genuinely some of the most fun I've had in ages, with Nimrod slamming down being the exclamation point at the end of my fun. Great arc for all of the wrong reasons.
Me neither. X-Men are supposed to be different from other capeshit
This was an interesting experiment. See how self-inserting X-Men fans act when mutants are given a win. And it's gone about as expected, they all became massively insufferable and fully bought into the cult angle
>fully bought into the cult angle
This honestly kinda surprised me. Like, at the start, it felt like the bulk of people were all "this cult shit is fricked. What the actual frick" and it was generally understood that despite muties getting a win, this is not good and was going to be part of the reason it was all going to fall down.
And at some point we went from that to most of them fully drinking the cool aid, and wishing death on the flatscans for not bowing to the mutie overlords.
Naivety on my part, I guess.
Covid I think kinda frick it up the delay in publication let all the weird Zionist and Cult stuff froth to the top and it's been dominated by that discussion since then
Yeah, that makes sense.
>it was generally understood that despite muties getting a win, this is not good and was going to be part of the reason it was all going to fall down
And yet the fall ends up being caused by racist humans and evil robots yet again, and all the shady shit never went anywhere
I would've preferred any other ending, even Xavier taking off the goofy helmet to reveal he was the Maker the whole time
>The Krakoa Era Ends Next Year
Only in next year?
Only next year? They're not selling anything, this is the worst X-Men runof all time and it's no surprise because Disney has rotten fingers, everything it touches turns to trash, everyone loses interest, it should end immediately and the X-Men books should go on hiatus and only come back when there is something good that retcons everything Disney has done at Marvel in these 10 years
it's ending more likely due to Breevort taking over the X-men line in the next 9 months
All of Marvel's lineup is about to go on a full hard reset next year which will end and begin at ASM #1000
I think ASM #1000 will be in 2025 not 2024 we are only on #928 this week. so if they keep to their current publication schedule for ASM it will be in 2025
wells will last all the way til 2024 since he is out at 60
They didn't reset with Secret Wars. Why would they reset now?
2 things, MCU Synergy, or the leaks that Marvel and its departments are getting sold to Warner or other studio that gives a better bid is real since Disney is desperate for money and iger wants only DISNEY core sold to apple.
stop fricking spammig that disney is being sold to apple it isnt happening you moron.
>the leaks that Marvel and its departments are getting sold to Warner
Warner/Discovery is losing so much money, they can't afford shit you fricking idiots lol come up with better bait
Marvel is about to reset their ENTIRE UNIVERSE for a MCU synergy
Any runs and character assasination happening right now will be useless the moment the Reboot happens
There will be THE DOTP Event with Mephisto Involved and then the reset.
Wonder how much it'll resemble Hickman's initial plans?
Jean is going to try turning cyborg Moria gay in her last issue, then she's going to reveal she had a sinistery battery all along for a rainy day and retcon herself out of 616 or should I say gay1gay or should I say Bobby's Universe.
https://aiptcomics.com/2023/09/19/marvel-resurrection-of-magneto-nycc-2023/
ewing bringing magneto back
hope he b***hes storm out
>I asked you to do one thing, watch charles and make sure he didnt kill us all to save humans, and what did he do?
That was quick.
>resurrection of Magneto
Ha, I knew Marvel didn't have the balls to perma-kill Magneto
>magneto starts bragging about how fast his ressurection was
>kamala just walks and gives him the silver medal
Look I love dunking on mutie shit but Magneto specifically requested not to be resurrected and destroyed his own backup, as did Storm.
Who cares?
I don't get it.
Oh boy, everybody's favorite racist grandpa is coming back, who could have guessed.
Not using based Joseph.
he is being used in Scarlet Witch
I dont get it. Wasnt this the plan all along? For Krakoa to eventually fall? Hickman left because the other X-writers wanted to keep going for a bit more instead of moving on to the fall of X stuff. Why are people acting like there's a mysterious reason why this is happening?
From what's been pieced together:
was supposed to have Mystique holding mutantkind hostage via the reveal that Sinister had a backdoor in place to kill all of the cloned mutants (hence why Hickman called the mini "Inferno"). Mystique gets killed and Destiny doesn't come back to life period and Moira never gets depowered/forced to flee.
was supposed to fall under Hickman via the Nasty Boys working with ORCHIS with Jean being poisoned and causing a massive telepathic bomb go off with her death, taking out most of the islands population. Moira would mercy kill Xavier and go on the run with the Cerebro Sword, which would contain the last surviving back-up as Orchis would destroy the back-ups save for it.
this is all going on, the Children of the Vault would break free and start going on a killing spree that threatens to wipe out all life on Earth. Orchis, X-Men, and earth's heroes all have to put aside their hate boner to stop the COTV and save Earth....
>>Only for the Phalanx (who got to their black hole and know about Moira) to show up when everyone's barely survived the COTV fight to kill a now weakened Earth and are the power behind Omega Sentinel, who betrays Nimrod and Orchis in general. To beat them, Earth needs the Wakanda space empire's help because all of the other major space empires abandon Earth after Abigail Brand's schemes get exposed. But to do this, Storm has to retrieve her bastard son (conceived off-panel from a booty call she had with Black Panther) from the Weapon Plus project's "World" where she stashed him in when she got pregnant and people tried to kill her and her unborn kid.
>>The Bastard unites the mutant and Wakanda empires to beat back the Phalanx and gets declared God Emperor of the solar system.
rebuilds Earth and forgets that Orchis tried to kill mutantkind
Kinda sounds terrible and stupid tbh
Kinda?
Fricking amazing. Hickman does it again. The x office members should kill themselves for denying us this KINO. Or should I say XINO?
more like KEKO
Tell me that doesn't sound miles better than what is happening now.
Just how much coping and seething is the local X-homosexual going to have?
Who
Probably someone he made up
It's probably
. Just need to wait for
to go full seething once someone criticize the mutants.
Not even a fan of the Krakoa era but going back to the mansion after all the bullshit the mutants pulled would be even more moronic. They need to frick off into space for a bit before coming back.
>They need to frick off into space
This. They should visit Ur anus.
>X-men and citizens of Krakoa frick off to space
>Establish new colony in Shiar empire
>Immediately run into problems because the slave races haven't forgotten the X-men helping to crush their rebellion against their oppressors
>Xandra's Xavier blood finally comes out in full and callously boots Krakoa out of her empire for disrupting the peace
>Decades long trek through space of Krakoan nation drifting from space empire to space empire, being booted out from every single one because either the aliens are dicks or mutants can't resist trying to dick them over
>Finally settle onto a dirtball in the middle of nowhere
>Phalanx show up to gangbang Krakoa into the dust
>Saved by sudden arrival of Galactus...who then proceeds to eat their new planet, only letting the mutants themselves escape via intervention from the Phoenix
>Mutants forced to limp back to Earth, convinced that everyone will miss them and at last they'll have peace
>Krakoan mutants come back and find Earth has become a technological and ecological paradise thanks to the greatest superhuman finally minds working together, Orchis is long gone and forgotten, and mutants are happily walking through the streets alongside aliens and robots and normies treated with the same respect as everyone else
>Xavier excitedly checks the newspaper to see how many centuries it took humanity and mutants to finally achieve his dream of equality
>Due to comic book time dilation space travel, The X-men and Krakoan citizens have been gone for a total of...one month from Earth's perspective
>The X-men and Krakoa immediately lose their shit and declare war upon humanity for their ingratitude and because why the frick not
>Beneath the long abandoned X-mansion in New York, a vault opens
>A scruffy badger man yawns and stretches, struggling to open his eyes as he stumbles out of the vault ahead of the dozens upon dozens of occupants dressed in similarly x-themed spandex
>"Damn...how long have we been asleep?"
This fanfic is just as moronic as that Kang image that gets posted but no one can ever name the source of the issue where it came from
Does that mean I have a shot at becoming a Marvel writer then?
no, because you know how to write your name
It's totally canon considering the fact that mutants dont even exist in Kang's timeline.
Even if this is just a meme, it's not that far off. Humanity remaining Earth's dominant species in the future is pretty much the prevailing constant in most Marvel timelines.
1) source
2) what do we even know about kang's timeline?
3) that's like saying that captain america doesn't exist in kang's timeline, because we haven't seen one
>that's like saying that captain america doesn't exist in kang's timeline, because we haven't seen one
What the frick? He primarily blamed Cap for being the whole reason why his empire got fricked up, that's why he went back to the past to deal with the Avengers and with a hateboner in particular for Cap, no shit Captain America existed in his timeline.
No shit sherlock, that's the point of your moronic assessment. IF Avengers exist, then the X-Men also exist. As a matter of fact, one of the avengers line-up that defeated Kang featured Storm and Colossus
Because Kang has an interstellar empire comprised of humans and no major presence of mutants anywhere, so it can be inferred that mutants are no longer a thing in his civilization for one reason or another, whereas your stupid ass assessment of "WE NO SEE CAPTAIN AMERICA WE CAN INFER HE DIDN'T EXIST" is fricking stupid due to the very fricking fact that he blamed Captain America and the Avengers for his empire getting fricked up in the first place.
>As a matter of fact, one of the avengers line-up that defeated Kang featured Storm and Colossus
IN THE FUTURE, moron, the contention is mutants existing in Kang's future.
And yet Kang is still Anal over Immortus
Then why oh why, did Kang care about Wanda, her kids, and Apocalypse twins? Just because Kang doesn't interact with x-men (which is false btw), doesn't not mean that x-men are non-existent. In one of the timelines, mutants moved to another planet, it was a major plot point in Guardians of the Galaxy (from the 90s). Stop talking out of your ass
We know Kang himself is human, which casts doubt on the whole homosexual superior "next stage of evolution" mumbo jumbo. He would almost certainly be a mutant if it were true, as there would be little to no humans left.
1) Made the frick up by the internet to bait people
2) Supposedly, it's what the world would be like if the Dark Ages didn't occur, meaning they developed tech advanced enough to casually blow up the moon and for Kang to use it to travel through the timeline to conquer different parallel timelines to his own. Mutants weren't a factor because by all indications nobody saw a difference between them and the other freaks who spontaneously developed superpowers every so often on Earth.
3) Honestly, he might not be. Not natively, at least. Kang the Conqueror is not native to Earth 616, but he's lived through enough of it and hopped through history enough to basically know its history inside and out. That's why he's obsessed with certain heroes like Captain America, since he knows that these people are important to his own history but not WHY they're so important. It's stupid, but it's what got comic books to sell.
Pic is just made up fandom bullshit. Reminders uncanny avengers explicitly showed that Kang's timeline had no mutants on earth because Kang used time travel and Angel's bastard twin children with a geisha that had the mutant power to vomit up symbiote beetles that ate human flesh ala Maggots worms, to have said twins kidnap all mutants on earth (plus Wasp and Puck) and go out into outer space, with Magneto and Rightclops running a faachist dictatorship under the control of said twins, who control the ship and keep mutantkind in a cargo cult society on said ship in exile lest the Days of Future Past timeline (Kang was responsible for) be brought into being.
I hate idiots trying to justify story cliches
why is Kang only concerned with the Avengers? Because hes an Avengers villain.
Thats like asking why Kingpin doesn't bother the Fantastic Four or why the Serpent Society doesn't harass Spider-Man.
It's obviously some Kanggay's fanfic otherwise it'd just be actual comic book panels instead of paragraphs of text someone had to type up.
>mcniven
shitty inhumans story involving kang & ahura
>Saved by sudden arrival of Galactus...who then proceeds to eat their new planet, only letting the mutants themselves escape via intervention from the Phoenix
Current Galactus no longer require to consume planets again despite no longer being purple due to events of the Reckoning event.
I remember someone suggesting that the whole "Charles scrambled Reed's brain to be an butthole" will come back to bite them in the ass and Franklin will let them all die just so he can replace them with the '92 versions of the team.
I will miss krakoa ;_;
from Gillian Newsletter
>I) That's the two creative teams, one writer, one artist. II) A radical choice by marvel to do one book where two artists are set free to do whatever they want and two writers have to desperately patch together a whole series out of datapages.
>I know the sensible money has to be on I, but if it's the end of the Krakoan Age, there's got to be a chance of all datapages, all the time?
>Either way, not long to wait. NYCC soon, when they'll be more details.
>With the announcement of rotPoX and fotHoX, I suspect a few coins drop for folks, in terms of my workload and when I'll be stepping away from Work for Hire and towards my own stuff. I said how many issues I have to write, but I was writing for two series. I'm down to... 6 issues to write now, across both books. Oh, and likely something else at the end. My plan for the rest of today and tomorrow is trying to get closer to the tight plotting for one half of it. In a machine as complicated as the Krakoan Age, trying to find what is the emotional heart needs some real thought. The timeline is complicated. I have often thought that when you take a timeline structure invented by Jon, and then give it to me to play with for a few years, you're going to end up with a death pretzel.
>So the emotions is what I'm holding onto. Caring is why we care.
I'm confused, wasn't mutant orgy Island destroyed already?
