That's for one episode of Eyes of Wakanda, an animated anthology series set in the past of the MCU. It's already been established that there's a long lineage of Iron Fists and they weren't all men.
Pray for the soft-retcons.
Did anyone actually like the preachy pastors son from Georgia or the fish out of water white savior trope?
Don't people want to see Heroes for Hire and Daughters of the Dragon? Why did they cast these actors with 10+ year age gaps and no chemistry to play these classic duos?
Why did they have Matt fricking Claire Temple, Luke fricking Misty, and Danny fricking Colleen? Why did they put those random relationships ahead of the actual team partnerships that actually matter in the comics?
>I-IS THAT A WHITE MAN...DOING ASIAN MARTIAL ARTS?! >AND SAVING PEOPLE WITH THEM?! >AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH SO UNFATHOMABLE I'M GOING INSAAAAAAAAANE
The reaction to Iron Fist was proof that no one actually reads comics anymore.
I've never watched this series, but I highly doubt it could be any worse than She-Hulk so whatever.
She-Hulk may be legitimately one of the worst shows I've ever watched.
Clearly. Gonna shit up the thread with passive-aggressive seething all day or will you do the world a favor and have a nice day?

Don't know what I was expecting from a bottom-feeder shill who actually tries to push the narrative that She-Hulk was anything but revolting trash.
Why did they think combining Wendell, Orson, and Danny into one character was a good idea? This show fricking sucks, they didn't even have the balls to give him his costume.
I feel like plebs crying about Daredevil having an actual costume in season 2 instead of the black gear scared them off even trying with the other characters. Season 3 was great but I'll never not be mad that they backpedaled on the costume.
At least they seem fully committed to giving Matt his costume currently. They could have at the very least given Danny pic related as his costume if they didn't want to fully commit to green spandex.
Say what you will about She-Hulk, Matt doing the walk of shame after their night together is probably my favorite gag in this entire franchise. He's a man prostitute in every universe.
Say what you will about She-Hulk, Matt doing the walk of shame after their night together is probably my favorite gag in this entire franchise. He's a man prostitute in every universe.
Isn't he a devout catholic which forbids him from premarital sex?
These gay writers refuse to write a religious character accurately
Matt is an extremely conflicted, bad catholic and has been from the very moment they started emphasizing that part of his life back in the 70's and 80's. He's also pretty much always been one of the biggest prostitutes in Marvel. He can't stop himself from beating the shit out of people and he absolutely can't keep it in his pants.
So he doesn't kill people because of his faith, which if he did kill them it would be a service to society considering they always get freed and continue to hurt others, but he doesn't care to abide by the premarital sex rule of his faith?
You're seriously reaching for something to complain about here if you think the average modern young catholic man considers having premarital sex to be as bad as fricking murder.
If he's so devout and uses his faith as a deterrent to murder despite making his job of protecting the city harder, he should follow the rest of his faith's mandates as well. It's not that hard to understand.
He believes in people having the chance to repent and change
He knows most won’t, but they should be given the chance given it’s their eternal soul at stake. And if you read his stories he’s not exactly thrilled about it all the time but it is one his core values.
Yes you're correct. Now wait till you see what they did to Nightcrawler. Let's be real though. Catholics are hypocrites. They can't even follow the bible.
I never said I care about the comics? Netflix never showed him having sex except in a flashback with Elektra (which 1, wasn't just a one night thing they were together and 2, maybe he wasn't so devout in his younger years.) but Disney doesn't care about character consistency or they will erase his religiosity altogether.
except he's right though. you are a brain-dead, drooling moron who's just baiting for attention.
like go one, say it again like a damn robot, you fricking homosexual
How quickly they went wrong with Punisher is just baffling. They had a decent actor for him and his portrayal in S2 Daredevil was good, but they show they gave him went downhill so fast that fricking MICRO was a more compelling character than Frank.
I guess it's because they wanted to do a Garth Ennis Punisher kind of thing but had no clue how do that in the confines of the "vibe" Daredevil established.
All they had to do is to adapt Slavers as a big case, while spending the rest of the time on procedural-style smaller case frankings. Writing a Punisher show is literally the easiest fricking job in the world. >the "vibe" Daredevil established.
That "vibe" is why all those shows felt homogeneous, so maybe they should've dropped it and done its own thing with each show.
Make Ennis Punisher. Go full Blaxploitation with Luke Cage, Into The Badlands style with Iron Fist. Don't make Jessica Jones at all, it's shit from the get-go anyway.
Why did they bog it down in conspiracy stuff that didn't even really work. You didn't need exploitation levels of violence like the Warzone movie but it is very apparent they were embarassed to be doing a Punisher series and tried their hardest to avoid him just fighting crime.
If the netflix shows are officially canon are these 2 characters are canon right? Alot of people are saying they will get re cast but would they do that now they are officially canon? Marvels was a giant failure and Brie larson is not getting re cast so they have no excuse not to get these 2 which they seem to be avoiding.
I didn't mind when they had a little team up in Luke Cage season 2 or whatever it was. I legitimately think they both got screwed over by decisions well above them.
>Cottonmouth
Jigsaw, m8.
But yeah, Considering Lightfoot is one of the main writers for Hannibal and considering the absolutely disturbing shit Hannibal got away with on a regular basis, one would think they'd go full-on nightmare gore with his face.
Every fricking time I see this gif I hate MCU Punisher all over again. Frank Castle would never grovel like a homosexual, not even in his worst nightmares
Yeah, I feel you. My least favorite incarnation.
For me it's between Ray Stevenson and Thomas Jane. I like War Zone better than 2004 movie, but Dirty Laundry and 2005 videogame even the odds for Jane.
Lundgren is a honorable mention for a generic 80s action flick that's vaguely Punisher.
>Cottonmouth >gets his face fricking flayed against broken glass >whole head is bandaged >season 2 >comes out with just a few scars
Fricking pussies.
>Cottonmouth

Their treatment of Jigsaw is far more infuriating to me than how they portrayed Punisher.
They take the whole first season to give Jigsaw an origin, and then not only do they go half-baked on his appearance, but the ONLY thing they have Jigsaw do after he actually becomes Jigsaw, is spend an entire season running around like an idiot in a mostly unrelated subplot that accomplishes nothing of any importance until Frank kills him like a chump in the most anticlimactic way possible.
How quickly they went wrong with Punisher is just baffling. They had a decent actor for him and his portrayal in S2 Daredevil was good, but they show they gave him went downhill so fast that fricking MICRO was a more compelling character than Frank.

Look at this, The Punisher movie with thomas jane was a good introduction for frank since he really lost everything in that movie, and later could be more of Ennis Punisher run with frank being more Brains than brawn.
But again, punishergays who only read possibly the first 3 issues of Ennis Punisher didn't like the movie being a concrete western vengeance story akin to the old 70's and 80's punisher stuff where frank used to disguice himself even as clark kent to get info on the mafia.
Iron Fist would've been way better if the lead actor had actually been a martial artist. Finn Jones had something like 3 weeks total of training before production started.
If they revive this with the same cast they'd better at least bring back based Ward.
>Finn Jones had something like 3 weeks total of training before production started.
Iron Fist got FRICKED by the Perlmutter vs Feige Civil War. The production of that show was a mad rush. I don't hate Finn Jones. He got screwed tbh. The story was awful too.
What's more racist, Cinemaphile? >a white kid crash landing in a mystical Asian realm, learning kung fu to become their greatest champion, going "KONNICHIWA, DUDE!" and fricking all the docile and tight Asian chicks >writing off the white guy and replacing him with an Asian guy because only Asian people are ever allowed to know the exotic, mystical, and inscrutable art of kung fu
It still makes me laugh sometimes that they changed The Ancient One to Tilda Swinton to, in part, avoid the racist connotations of wise old asian master teaches white guy (also to appease China over Tibet) and then still got criticised for it.
>It still makes me laugh sometimes that they changed The Ancient One to Tilda Swinton to, in part, avoid the racist connotations of wise old asian master teaches white guy (also to appease China over Tibet) and then still got criticised for it.
It's even funnier when you hear the story of Tilda Swinton calling up this random Asian actress/director (I forget which) she knew and asking her for advice
>I don't hate Finn Jones. He got screwed tbh. The story was awful too.
He honestly deserved better. The very script seem to actively shit on Danny for being a rich white guy that dared to master martial arts, and it was the crux of the last season of the show. About the only character that got a decent arc was fricking Ward! And THAT had to have been an accident because I can't see the same writers giving a rich white guy nuance on purpose!
What I find annoying about Scott Buck is that eveb if his shows are shit, sometimes he manages to get one good character in. Seemingly almost on accident.
Brother Sam and Isaak on Dexter, Ward on Iron Fist.
>It still makes me laugh sometimes that they changed The Ancient One to Tilda Swinton to, in part, avoid the racist connotations of wise old asian master teaches white guy (also to appease China over Tibet)
It's great when the writer explains it explicitly, "if we go Tibetan, China gets angry; if we go Chinese, everyone else gets angry; if we go any other kind of Asian, all the SJWs* get angry because of the implication that all Asians are interchangeable; so we went feminist and cast Tilda instead"
*And he does say SJW.
Somewhere in here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEpbUf8dGq0
This is what Mr Jones looks like now. The fact that a TV drama shot in Canada where he's part of an ensemble cast gave him more time to train (3 months going by is insta timeline), rather than the supposed prestige co-production by the the then unblemished darling of Hollywood, the MCU and the stalwart of streaming Netflix (two/three weeks my all accounts) where he is the LEAD is honestly fricking atrocious. Shame on Jeph Loeb. If you decide on hiring a non-marital artist, do your due-diligence and give him enough to go from skinny-fat DYEL, to the toned swimmer's body a martial artist is supposed to have. And, give him a costume! When I saw the first shots of him wandering around NYC like a vagrance, I just knew... Wearing the costume shows his transformation from the young Danny, one who couldn't save his parents to the Iron Fist. He doesn't even take off his mask until the end of the first fricking run. Goddamn.
The blundering of the character of Iron Fist made people question his work ethic and passion for the character. My man went out and read Iron Fist and got super excited, but then Buck told him he didn't need to read anything of that, because 'they were doing something different'.
This is like the actor from Fan4stick who played Doctor Doom being super disappointed but on a more massive scale.
A leaker in the says we was cheerful, but seemed 'traumatised' by the media and social media roasting. Well, I'm glad he hasn't given up.
I'm fully in support of the Finnaissance. Guy deserves it.
The racist part was how they said "here's this ancient martial arts tradition all these asian dudes have been practicing all their lives. anyway time to bring in some random rich white kid who shows them how it's REALLY done because he's just better lol"
If you retcon it so there are people from all over who get to learn it (even if it's still a secret society) then... well it's _still_ shitty to have this pasty corpo-baby show up with zero training and master it in a week. It just loses the implication that he did it because he's an Enlightened White and they're all Regressive Yellow Savages.
He crash-lands in K'un-Lun when he's a young kid and spends the rest of his life growing up there. In both the show and the comic it's certainly not: >"here's this ancient martial arts tradition all these asian dudes have been practicing all their lives. anyway time to bring in some random rich white kid who shows them how it's REALLY done because he's just better lol" >this pasty corpo-baby show up with zero training and master it in a week. >because he's an Enlightened White and they're all Regressive Yellow Savages.
like you think for some reason.
From this post I don't think you've even watched the crappy show, let alone ever touched a single Iron Fist comic
I've honestly lost track of the amount of times Asian-Masculinity tier posters single out that as the most egregious reason they will never read Iron Fist, 'because he fricks Asian chicks'.
Tell me you've never read Iron Fist and are only getting your information from Twitter and the Netflix show, without telling me you only read Twitter comments and/or saw the Netflix show.
Anon what’s been happening to Tibet since Danny became a character and why ISN’T it seen as racist that only Chinese characters wield the iron fight now?
Also the white savior complaint never made sense to me in general, why is it strange to target the majority of the people who live in the country that you’re making the project in? Does China have a “Chinese savior” problem in its entertainment industry? Does Bollywood have an “Indian savior” problem? Latin America have a “Latino savior” problem?
People complain about Japan having a "japanese savior" problem, but that's usually paired with "they need more black leads", and should be treated like the racist moronation that it is.
Seriously? I feel like some of the largest franchises to come out of Japan in recent years went out of their way to not have a Japanese lead in a traditional sense, Naruto one piece and dragon ball all had “generic Asian” leads based in the world that was created around them. I fricking hate modern leftism defining itself SOLELY on “your neighbor is the only problem”, you think they’ll ever wake up?
It's funny you got super upset at this made up scenario that didn't happen in the comics or show, he actually grew up there in both, when the event you're describing is actually what just happened in What If, but with a native american chick and "Critics" praised the hell out of it.
Bad story's a bad story indeed, so long as it's a white dude. If it's naked character wank with the right color of brown then all of a sudden it's fine.
>If you retcon it so there are people from all over who get to learn it
Isn't that what Kun Lun was like? I mean, his main rival for the Iron Fist title was an Indian dude (the actor at least is British but ethnically Indian).
>If you retcon it so there are people from all over who get to learn it

Yes, they explicitly had Finn Jones say that it's 'multi-ethnic' in an interview, when asked about the online controversy.
Naysayers would roll their eyes and think Marvel is just deflecting to save their skins. There may be truth to that, but back in the 70's K'un-Lun IS depicted as mixed.
Meet Quan-St’ar, a Black sorcerer from K'un-Lun. But, the frickers that complained on Twitter (even ''journalistic'') never even bothered to read his origin or comprehend his character. So, how can we expect them to research this? It gets away from the narrative.
Only specific malicious attacks based SOLELY either the race of the individual attacked OR attempts to undermine a whole people through vague discussion with the goal of destroying the unity of a majority
No, I'm asking if the concept of nothing, or nothing as a thing, is literally racist
Anon said everything is racist. Nothingness, by definition, is not a part of everything, so surely it can't be racist
>>a white kid crash landing in a mystical Asian realm, learning kung fu to become their greatest champion, going "KONNICHIWA, DUDE!" and fricking all the docile and tight Asian chicks
This is just art imitating reality.
Honestly, if one wanted to get all woke about Iron Fist, the most interesting thing to do is play with the fact that he went from the weirdo ethnic outcast in K'un-Lun, presumably in this version somewhat put upon and needing to prove himself more than everyone else and is thus driven to excel in his new home.
And then he finally returns to New York and is faced with the complete whiplash of being the "normal," privileged dude and everyone who looks like the people he grew up with are the weirdo immigrants. Coupled with the aspect, already in the original, of the culture shock of his mystic kung fu city values and New York commercialism.
Like, some sort of actual examination of this situation of Asian-Americans as made into the allegory of a guy who grew up in the opposite situation and now sees the obvious seams in American society because of it. I mean, come the frick on people. Try a little.

Marvels was a giant failure and Brie larson is not getting re cast so they have no excuse not to get these 2 which they seem to be avoiding.
I would be very surprised if they acknowledge them, Jessica, Misty, or Coleen ever again, which is unfortunate as a fan of Iron Fist, but probably for the best considering how shit those shows were.
Supposedly Jessica is coming back for an episode or two of Born Again, and will likely appear in Spider-Man 4. People tend to forget the first season of her show was a hit, and even once things went downhill Ritter was still well liked in the role.
>People tend to forget the first season of her show was a hit,
Sure, in comparison to later stuff, but it did worse than Daredevil or Luke Cage, and season 3 had the second worst viewship numbers of the entire run. Second only to Iron Fist season 2 on the bottom of the barrel.
She came hot off of Daredevil taking off like a rocket, but she couldn't keep anyone around.
Can't even use Rotten Tomatoes as the good old fashioned hail mary of "See people liked it!" the review counts for that shit is depressing. They straight up hid the number because it's less than 100 reviews for any of them of the critics, less than 50 people for all of them on metacritic. Only way to see it is from Wikipedia's legacy count.
>then season 2 was kinda boring
I legit don't even remember what it was about, I remember season 3 had her go up against a regular ass dude she defeats by hitting him once, but I only remember that because it was such a bad scene it stuck with me for why I shouldn't watch anything else with her.

Season 2 was about her mom not being dead and having her own superpowers or some shit like that.
It's female lead, it's going to do worse but you still have to make it. Reception is worth a lot as it keeps the brand reputation high even if you wont watch the show if you hear it's good you wont be mad if she shows up in Defenders to a point where you wont watch it because of her
They were just expecting something good because she came right after season 1 of Daredevil and we were years off from MSheU levels of batshit frickery. There was zero reason to think it wasn't going to be pretty good. If it came out right now nobody would give it a chance and it'd flop like everything else they're doing.
Season 2 losing more than half of the audience and season 3 being the second least watched anything of the group, less even than Punisher 2, should tell you what happened when they saw it. Shit, even Defenders did pretty damn poorly, the only one who got a bump by the end was Daredevil season 3, and even that was lower than season 2 by some deep margins due to Defenders.
Fair enough. I'll admit I watched it because I was pleasantly surprised by Daredevil and was hoping they'd stay on that level. But yeah, Jessica Jones was enough to kill my interest in the rest of these Netflix shows.
The Echo show was originally going to end with a tease of DD enlisting Echo's help to find Jessica Jones before it got cut in the reshoots, presumably because they couldn't get Krysten Ritter to commit to the MCU at the time because she was still busy with Orphan Black.
>I would be very surprised if they acknowledge them, Jessica, Misty, or Coleen ever again, which is unfortunate as a fan of Iron Fist, but probably for the best considering how shit those shows were.
They are getting into F-list shit like Eternals
There's no way they leave Heroes for Hire on the shelf
next time theyre gonna get mentioned is either after the softreboot (if its true) or very briefly during secret wars but even if not they could still get recast its not like marvel hasnt done it before
They say all the shows are canon but what they meant was that only Punisher and Daredevil will appear in the MCU from now on. Maybe a cameo from Luke Cage to calm down black people
If Jessica Jones is canon, then at least Luke Cage has to be.
I understand that I hate this shitty show, but I'm the only one who actually watched it (judging by inane and unconvincing defenses its fan give so they could circlejerk like it's some kind of masterpiece) and Luke Cage played an important role in it. You can't have one without the other.
I hated how Luke Cage got hit with an RPG point blank In his own show and was literally unphased but then a regular shotgun almost kills him in Jessica Jones.
Woah that's a whole heap of trash. I hope you all know this means the MCU will never touch Danny Rand now and will replace him with a new character for Iron Fist
Unwanted and stuck in limbo, like Agents of Shield and the Hulu stuff. The Netflix stuff got brought back and explicitly canonized because there was actual demand for it and they couldn't just start Daredevil over at this point without pissing people off.
Was it actually bad, or just not popular because of the characters and therefore unprofitable?
I never watched it, so I wouldn't know. I just know a few things about it, like it's got a Power Ranger in the cast playing two characters because one is a clone or something.
I thought season 1 was boring, but I liked season 2. Though mainly because it went full-on cheesy jazz and voodoo aesthetic, with Baron Samedi even making an appearance.
Honestly I don't care about MCU canon either way. I guess it would be nice, but I won't lose much sleep over it if it's not.
The Marvels is canon, so it's not like it's some mark of quality.
You've seen it, did they ever do anything about what
>Was it actually bad, or just not popular because of the characters and therefore unprofitable?
Early on no joke had a lecture about how a rich black dude talking down to an actual literal homeless girl saying he had it just as bad if not worse because "When I walk into a store, they judge me". I hoped he would get humbled or something by the end of the episode when he finds out "Oh hey being homeless is actually way fricking worse even if she's white and I'm black, guess I got some character growth!" but no. They just roll off with it like he didn't say that stupid shit.
I didn't watch past that and if you care past that then there's really no level of bad that's too low for you anyway, enjoy.
>Was it actually bad, or just not popular because of the characters and therefore unprofitable?

Then they better follow up on the cliffhanger left by Daredevil season 3 and they get all the actors and writers and the showrunner back elsewise I don't care.
They are the original inhabitants of the dimension K'un-Lun resides in. Ironically making them the colonists. (Notice Danny antis NEVER make mentions of them, because those b***hes don't even read.)
There's been mad beef between the H‘ylthri and the K'un-Lunians ever since.
One even posed as a fakeout Danny Rand, after his death.
Timeout, Black folks. Timeout.
Why does Batman get a pass on the whole "le rich white guy gets trained by Asians and becomes better than other students" bullshit you're triggered by?
>Better than Iron Fist >Better than Luke Cage >Better than Jessica Jones >Better than The Punisher >Better than The Defenders >Better than Daredevil >Better than Cloak and Dagger >Better than Agent Carter >Better than Loki >Better than The Runaways >Better than She-Hulk >Better than Echo >Better than Helstrom >Better than that Hawkeye show >Better than Moon Knight >Better than Marvels What If? >Better than Werewolf By Night >Better than Secret Invasion >Better than Falcon and the Winter Soldier >Better than quite a few MCU movies
And still treated like garbage by """fans""" and the s company alike. Dogs eat dog food I suppose
>better than all of MCU >best live-action Marvel villain, maybe only next to Dafoe's Green Goblin and McKellen's Magneto >people ignore it outside of it having a small cult classic status >b-but it's not MCU--
Shut the frick up. With all sorts of multiverse wankery like NWH and The Marvel, you no longer can use this as an excuse.
Frick it, may as well post Legion clips. Maybe I could convince more people to watch it.
eh, Legion is pretentious and tries way too hard to be quirky. Sometimes it really works but too often it's just weird for the sake of it. Not consistent enough to be kino
The first season starts out "eh", but by the third episode embraces the full-on "look at me, I'm a discount David Lynch" approach. And honestly, it's kind of for the better.
>Shut the frick up. With all sorts of multiverse wankery like NWH and The Marvel, you no longer can use this as an excuse
Then Legion isn't better than "all of the MCU" by your definition because it's not better than Hulk or the Raimi Spider-Man movies

Legion was just a regular boring tv show with some things that were mindblowing to you if you only had a handful of channels at the time, it really doesn't hold up
Funny, I could say the exact same thing about every Marvel show. Daredevil and Jessica Jones included.
I never said it was "mindblowing" just better than all the other capeshit which is such a low bar that it baffles me how it keeps getting lower and lower every single year somehow.
So will Marvel get the same Luke a age and Iron Fist actors?
Can I see more Misty Knight and Colleen Wing?
Avengers: Secret Wars will soft-reboot the MCU, so they will recast either way.
Guess I finally have to watch them all. Damn
God, I hope. Iron Fist sorely needs a recasting.
>Iron Fist sorely needs a recasting.
You know it's gonna be Okoye.
they better just make a heroes for hire project afterwards
I heard they want a female Iron Fist
Which to me is fricking moronic.
>I heard they want a female Iron Fist
They already have one.
That's for one episode of Eyes of Wakanda, an animated anthology series set in the past of the MCU. It's already been established that there's a long lineage of Iron Fists and they weren't all men.
frick off newbie
some minor character from a side story that no one cares about
The point is Female Fist isn't a new concept.
no one said it was
They forgot that Danny's sister exists and is back to life.
Only the title is immortal.
>Which to me is fricking moronic.
why?

I can assure you as an Asian with Chinese blood and ancestors we do not give a frick and also frick you.

She Hulk was fine, stop being so dramatic reddit
Hillary lost
You're trying too hard to fit in, shill.
Your show is unwatchable garbage.
Yeah I'm the one who doesn't fit in
Clearly. Gonna shit up the thread with passive-aggressive seething all day or will you do the world a favor and have a nice day?
trying way too hard
>n-no u
Don't know what I was expecting from a bottom-feeder shill who actually tries to push the narrative that She-Hulk was anything but revolting trash.
ROFL, no..Hawkeye was "Fine", Falcon and bucky was "Fine". She-hulk was a train wreck.
>Falcon and bucky was "Fine"
You have to do better, anon
Why did they think combining Wendell, Orson, and Danny into one character was a good idea? This show fricking sucks, they didn't even have the balls to give him his costume.
and dannys costumes are so good too ;-;
I feel like plebs crying about Daredevil having an actual costume in season 2 instead of the black gear scared them off even trying with the other characters. Season 3 was great but I'll never not be mad that they backpedaled on the costume.
yeah but that was cuz the black costume was hard iron fists neftlix costume was dogshit
At least they seem fully committed to giving Matt his costume currently. They could have at the very least given Danny pic related as his costume if they didn't want to fully commit to green spandex.
They'll leave it as is, this was only done to please Daredevil fans.
AoSbros...
I guess they're really desperate if they canonize this slop of which only Daredevil is any good.
>Matt Murdock is officially the first MCU character to have sex
Yeah that tracks.
This shit is dumb and makes no sense
Bravo Marvel
You're seriously reaching for something to complain about here if you think the average modern young catholic man considers having premarital sex to be as bad as fricking murder.
If he's so devout and uses his faith as a deterrent to murder despite making his job of protecting the city harder, he should follow the rest of his faith's mandates as well. It's not that hard to understand.
Keep coping for Marvel though
This is bad bait.
I accept your concession.
>So he doesn't kill people because of his faith
His faith in the law.
He's a lawyer, remember
He believes in people having the chance to repent and change
He knows most won’t, but they should be given the chance given it’s their eternal soul at stake. And if you read his stories he’s not exactly thrilled about it all the time but it is one his core values.
Yes you're correct. Now wait till you see what they did to Nightcrawler.
Let's be real though. Catholics are hypocrites. They can't even follow the bible.
Holy fricking shit just say you've never read a DD comic.
Why are you so mad about the treatment of a character you know nothing about?
I never said I care about the comics? Netflix never showed him having sex except in a flashback with Elektra (which 1, wasn't just a one night thing they were together and 2, maybe he wasn't so devout in his younger years.) but Disney doesn't care about character consistency or they will erase his religiosity altogether.
You're an idiot.
I accept your concession.
except he's right though. you are a brain-dead, drooling moron who's just baiting for attention.
like go one, say it again like a damn robot, you fricking homosexual
Stark had sex about 5 minutes into Iron Man.
Defenders was good im tired of pretending it wasnt
These shows suck anyway, they should just be soft cannon
I want a real Punisher story. Frank fricking up bad guys.
Would love to see this in live action once before I die.
The only good thing from the Punisher show was not-Mennonite. They should bring him back.
It should have been Welcome Back Frank.
if the 2000's punisher movie had got a sequel, it would be that one
I'd give a lot to see a full animated adaptation of MAX
Why did they bog it down in conspiracy stuff that didn't even really work. You didn't need exploitation levels of violence like the Warzone movie but it is very apparent they were embarassed to be doing a Punisher series and tried their hardest to avoid him just fighting crime.
I didn't mind when they had a little team up in Luke Cage season 2 or whatever it was. I legitimately think they both got screwed over by decisions well above them.
>Cottonmouth
>gets his face fricking flayed against broken glass
>whole head is bandaged
>season 2
>comes out with just a few scars
Fricking pussies.
>Cottonmouth
At least you got 4 live-action adaptations to pick from, some only get one.
[Cries in Iron Fist]
Their treatment of Jigsaw is far more infuriating to me than how they portrayed Punisher.
They take the whole first season to give Jigsaw an origin, and then not only do they go half-baked on his appearance, but the ONLY thing they have Jigsaw do after he actually becomes Jigsaw, is spend an entire season running around like an idiot in a mostly unrelated subplot that accomplishes nothing of any importance until Frank kills him like a chump in the most anticlimactic way possible.
Watch Punisher War Zone.
>true to Ennisshit
>Ennisgays still pretend it didn't exist
Saw it. Not the greatest story wise, but still enjoyed the Hell out if it.
What's more racist, Cinemaphile?
>a white kid crash landing in a mystical Asian realm, learning kung fu to become their greatest champion, going "KONNICHIWA, DUDE!" and fricking all the docile and tight Asian chicks
>writing off the white guy and replacing him with an Asian guy because only Asian people are ever allowed to know the exotic, mystical, and inscrutable art of kung fu
A bad story's a bad story either way
He crash-lands in K'un-Lun when he's a young kid and spends the rest of his life growing up there. In both the show and the comic it's certainly not:
>"here's this ancient martial arts tradition all these asian dudes have been practicing all their lives. anyway time to bring in some random rich white kid who shows them how it's REALLY done because he's just better lol"
>this pasty corpo-baby show up with zero training and master it in a week.
>because he's an Enlightened White and they're all Regressive Yellow Savages.
like you think for some reason.
Danny's PR is down so, so sad.
>"japanese savior" problem
Who else is supposed to save the world in a japanese story about japanese people written in japan?
It's funny you got super upset at this made up scenario that didn't happen in the comics or show, he actually grew up there in both, when the event you're describing is actually what just happened in What If, but with a native american chick and "Critics" praised the hell out of it.
Bad story's a bad story indeed, so long as it's a white dude. If it's naked character wank with the right color of brown then all of a sudden it's fine.
>It's funny you got super upset at this made up scenario that didn't happen in the comics or show, he actually grew up there in both
Problem is repeat a lie (or in this case a strawman) enough, and it eventually becomes the truth.
>If you retcon it so there are people from all over who get to learn it
Isn't that what Kun Lun was like? I mean, his main rival for the Iron Fist title was an Indian dude (the actor at least is British but ethnically Indian).
*journalists
That's the trick anon. EVERYTHING is racist. No exceptions.
Is nothing racist?
So, you are one of the only seven people that's ACTUALLY read Iron Fist, apart from me and this Anon. Pity Buck wasn't amongst them.
They've been canon since Daredevil was on the She-Hulk show. Though, being ignorant of that, I don't blame you, no one watched that.
If the netflix shows are officially canon are these 2 characters are canon right? Alot of people are saying they will get re cast but would they do that now they are officially canon? Marvels was a giant failure and Brie larson is not getting re cast so they have no excuse not to get these 2 which they seem to be avoiding.
It's because Killgrave was a great villain, then season 2 was kinda boring, then the third season just fricking sucked
>then season 2 was kinda boring
I legit don't even remember what it was about, I remember season 3 had her go up against a regular ass dude she defeats by hitting him once, but I only remember that because it was such a bad scene it stuck with me for why I shouldn't watch anything else with her.
Season 2 was about her mom not being dead and having her own superpowers or some shit like that.
It's female lead, it's going to do worse but you still have to make it. Reception is worth a lot as it keeps the brand reputation high even if you wont watch the show if you hear it's good you wont be mad if she shows up in Defenders to a point where you wont watch it because of her
>the first season of her show was a hit
A true testament to the shit taste of Marvelgays.
They will wait to reboot hard after Secret Wars
>Jessica
Jessica is already being rumoured as coming back. Doubt they'll even touch Danny, though. Luke's up in the air.
Shang-Chi is cooler anyway, they would really have to nail Danny to make him worth bringing back
Completely different origin, personality, motivation... all they got right was his powers.
>Doubt they'll even touch Danny, though. Luke's up in the air.
they'll hard-reboot both
next time theyre gonna get mentioned is either after the softreboot (if its true) or very briefly during secret wars but even if not they could still get recast its not like marvel hasnt done it before
Non-fans have declared Danny racist and so he will never be the Iron Fist again
They say all the shows are canon but what they meant was that only Punisher and Daredevil will appear in the MCU from now on. Maybe a cameo from Luke Cage to calm down black people
The series ended with Luke Cage becoming the crime boss of Harlem. I wish they'd come back to that and clear it up.
Not even DD S3 acknowledged it when Fisk arranged a meeting with all the crime bosses of NY
Yeah what the frick was that about? I thought Luke was supposed to be a hero through and through
Villain arc to make things interesting
If Jessica Jones is canon, then at least Luke Cage has to be.
I understand that I hate this shitty show, but I'm the only one who actually watched it (judging by inane and unconvincing defenses its fan give so they could circlejerk like it's some kind of masterpiece) and Luke Cage played an important role in it. You can't have one without the other.
All of them would have to be canon because they literally all appeared together in Defenders
The New York chapter of a biker gang Punisher was killing in Daredevil season 2 first appeared on AoS
DD had a bunch of references to AOS, Carl Creel was the last boxer Jack Murdock faced before he died, Matt was in the same orphanage as Daisy.
But what about Cloak and Dagger?
Who?
Was it actually bad, or just not popular because of the characters and therefore unprofitable?
I never watched it, so I wouldn't know. I just know a few things about it, like it's got a Power Ranger in the cast playing two characters because one is a clone or something.
I thought season 1 was boring, but I liked season 2. Though mainly because it went full-on cheesy jazz and voodoo aesthetic, with Baron Samedi even making an appearance.
So do you think it should be canon?
Honestly I don't care about MCU canon either way. I guess it would be nice, but I won't lose much sleep over it if it's not.
The Marvels is canon, so it's not like it's some mark of quality.
You've seen it, did they ever do anything about what
said?
Unwanted and stuck in limbo, like Agents of Shield and the Hulu stuff. The Netflix stuff got brought back and explicitly canonized because there was actual demand for it and they couldn't just start Daredevil over at this point without pissing people off.
Anything TV made under Perlmutter is getting flushed. The rivalry continues.
Then they better follow up on the cliffhanger left by Daredevil season 3 and they get all the actors and writers and the showrunner back elsewise I don't care.
That's a shame. Daredevil isn't even that good.
yes it is you stupid c**t!
Iron Fist was always a shitty character. Dunno why some of you people suddenly care so much about Danny as Iron Fist once he got replaced.
The majority don't, they're drama prostitutes.
I wish Dagger would get more appearances she was hot
good thank frick Daredevil is the best capshit ever made
Ward > Kingpin, bring back my boy
What's up with the venomous plant people that live around Kun-Lun?
The H‘ylthri?
They are the original inhabitants of the dimension K'un-Lun resides in. Ironically making them the colonists. (Notice Danny antis NEVER make mentions of them, because those b***hes don't even read.)
There's been mad beef between the H‘ylthri and the K'un-Lunians ever since.
One even posed as a fakeout Danny Rand, after his death.
Timeout, Black folks. Timeout.
Why does Batman get a pass on the whole "le rich white guy gets trained by Asians and becomes better than other students" bullshit you're triggered by?
He doesn't just use kung fu
He still went to foreign secret societies and proved himself to be the better fighter, as a white billionaire should.
>As a white billionaire should
Tell that to Elon Musk
The rivers of cope that flow from this shall sustain me until the end of time.
>Better than Iron Fist

Now this is shitposting.
woof woof to you too
>better than all of MCU
>best live-action Marvel villain, maybe only next to Dafoe's Green Goblin and McKellen's Magneto
>people ignore it outside of it having a small cult classic status
>b-but it's not MCU--
Shut the frick up. With all sorts of multiverse wankery like NWH and The Marvel, you no longer can use this as an excuse.
*The Marvels
The point still stands.
eh, Legion is pretentious and tries way too hard to be quirky. Sometimes it really works but too often it's just weird for the sake of it. Not consistent enough to be kino
Tried to watch the first episode and got bored. Goes it get better?
The first season starts out "eh", but by the third episode embraces the full-on "look at me, I'm a discount David Lynch" approach. And honestly, it's kind of for the better.
Thanks, might check it out. I assume the second episode is skippable?
>Shut the frick up. With all sorts of multiverse wankery like NWH and The Marvel, you no longer can use this as an excuse
Then Legion isn't better than "all of the MCU" by your definition because it's not better than Hulk or the Raimi Spider-Man movies
sorry bud, you played yourself
Fine. Better than Netflix and Disney+ crap.
The consistency could be a proble, but I'd say the parts that are supposed to be scary work much better than any tryhard Netflix shit.
>kino
Please stop using that crap if you want to be taken seriously.
>tryhard
Please stop using that crap if you want to be taken seriously.
>n-no u
Sorry for trying to take you seriously in the first place. Just slit your throat, moron.
>banal, hostile response to a light joke about him using an overused term like the guy he attempted to feel superior too
Yes, this is someone I shall be taking seriously
>noooo someone told me to kill myself on Cinemaphile, I'm going insane
LMAO
>attempted to feel superior too
Or I'm tired of seeing this stupid low-IQ memeword that's almost 10 years and somehow still shoved down my throat while other, less annoying memes died down. Meanwhile "tryhard" is barely used in conversations.
But feel free to project some more.
>NOOOOO how dare someone make a joke about how tryhard was just as annoying in it's heyday as kino is now, no one can criticize my word choice
Well yeah those shows were also just regular edgy tv shows with Marvel branding so Disney could get in on the streaming game
Good, we're on the same page then.
Let's just agree that capeshit fricking sucks.
Frick it, may as well post Legion clips. Maybe I could convince more people to watch it.
