The little mime guy is like 999% stronger than Freeza and would kill him in one hit. But Freeza was so powerful he could destroy planets. Actually people at power level of 100 could already blow up planets.
You go from 100 power level blowing up the moon to 9000 power level guy who can blow up a planet, and then you go into hundreds of millions of power level points.
How the frick are the Sayan people seen as these legendary warriors when they got beat by Freeza and got wiped out? And where were the next 10 villains hiding with their power levels in the billions? How come every time a villain appears they're like 100 times stronger than the last and just strong enough to beat Goku effortlessly, but weak enough that Goku will train and catch up to their power level? If Goku can train to beat the grey guy with the power level of 4000000, why didn't he train earlier and kill Freeza?

He recently got fricked by a gun. Not a special gun, just a regular earth firearm. He was also fricked by a standard issue lazer rifle whilst being in super saiyan god form blue which is supposed to be an order of magnitude higher than anything else before it. I can't imagine how low someones iq has to be, in order to avoid having their suspension of disbelief rocked by these facts. It's just so moronic. Because no matter how strong he gets he's still made of soft materials like flesh and blood and bone. What gives him his edge is his mastery of ki. You can't train to make your skin be harder than a a bullet, but can train to focus a nigh impenetrable energy shield around your squishy skin. That's also why they'd run into problems whenever they faced opponents like say Buu, that have an understanding of ki in additional to having special physical resilience. When his focus is up he's a God, but when it's down he's Hercule. I'm sorry if you don't like or accept the physics of the universe, but that's always how it's always been written.

Goku does not defeat any villain without help from others, he's usually badly outmatched even after training.

Cell's potential seems limited through absorption, stupid as that is. Once he reaches perfect form he loses the ability. And yet just absorbing strong enemies in his first two forms isn't enough- he needs 17/18 to be complete and have his full potential.

That's different- not saying that Cell can't train to get stronger, but absorption only takes him so far. His structure is meant to absorb two specific beings, then any potential from then on out he has to achieve on his own.

Cell is basically an insect, so he works in the same way. Eats as much as he needs to while in a crappy larval form to go through metamorphosis, and then comes out as the beautiful "perfect" butterfly he was always meant to be. He can't just stay a larvae and keep absorbing to the moon.
