If not for Eminem, rap wouldn't be so popular as it is today. Prove me wrong.
I think you're being disingenuous.
After The Eminem Show, he put out Encore when he was full blown into drug addiction and it showed.
Relapse is well loved.
Recovery is well loved.
MMLP2 is probably his best post-TES album.
Revival was garbage.
Kamikaze was good.
MTBMB was a solid project as well but felt too bloated.
Overall, he's remained consistent in his post-TES years. Nothing will likely reach that peak for him , because that was the height of his career and everything around him was a media circus. He had a lot of material to write about because his life was insane.
He's since slowed down, gotten clean and just does his own thing. He makes music for his fans, and that's cool. It's clear he's not really trying to chase down what's popular right now and is instead just focusing on wordplay, doubles-triples, and playing with different cadences. He's literally just having fun and seeing how crazy he can make his rhyme schemes. Yeah, it's cool to hate on him, but he's still one of the most talented rappers in the game to this day, and one of the most gifted to put pen to the pad. His understanding of wordplay and ability to break things down by the syllable for rhymes is second to none.
It's why so many older artists respect him for his love and knowledge of the craft, and why so many newer artists shit on him -- because they know that even 20 years later, he's still one of the biggest names in the game and if they can bait him into mentioning them, it will make them bigger than they are.
Where was I asked about it? Where, in any part of this thread, did you ask me about it? Instead it's just:

you said rapping, not hip hop.
>rap has been "mainstream" with white people since the early 80s,
Whites hated that shit. Around the late 90s it became popular it was fricking everywhere in pop culture. Rap only got big because Vanilla Ice and Beastie boys and then of course Eminem for the 00s. Add white and whites eat it up. Logic shouldn't even have a career but he's Eminem clone so he sells.

He never got the praise in rap. Honestly, I think it's because Eminem has too many 'trying to be funny' records. He rhymes well, but there's no substance in any of his records.
And sure, most rappers are without substance, but at least they aren't half as corny as Eminem.

All the rap legends are poor. KRS-One switches his opinions every other minute for money, for example.

So you just believe that Dre went out of his pocket to finance Eminem's entire early career with no backing whatsoever? You really believe in the official narrative because they said so?
You seriously are not factoring in what the 90's was like. You forget that Dre had just left Death Row after producing Snoop and Tupac. Are you seriously believing that his next interest would be Eminem? Also, you ignore completely who ran Interscope back then and what their interests were like. They literally wanted to push a white rapper and Eminem was the first one who worked.
Also, didn't you notice how Eminem's affiliates literally dont like him? Don't you remember Snoop Dogg recently dissing him? They obviously hold a grudge and it's very obvious that they have been quiet because Eminem is just too profitable for everyone around to say anything.
>Yeah, Nas fighting Jay Z, DMX drug troubles, Lil Wayne getting locked up, and all of them working with each other and respecting each other's achievements is pure stuff, no genuine appreciation for the numerous songs they've made. Also you have to consider the hundreds upon hundreds of white rappers who were as big as Eminem. Such as...
None which concern randomly dissing a cash cow such as Eminem. Industry has always been the same. >And they still choose to give Eminem kind words.
Because they are eager to get some money from some random opportunities that this can provide them. Older legends in rap are actually poor and they are doing anything it takes to get some money.

Where did I suggest Dre solely produced him? Dre was part of a business and Eminem being signed was met with skepticism. He'd already been rejected by other rap labels and Fat Joe. My point is Eminem wasn't hailed as a fricking trend, you twit, and Dre had to argue on his behalf. How is this hard to comprehend? Do you not understand how production works? Artists have to PROVE themselves. Jay Z endorsed a little white British girl rapper who was trying to act like Eminem. She received spotlight, support and marketing to push her first album. It didn't catch, and she disappeared. Eminem got the same and took off like a fricking rocket. The only difference between every other artist's first major label push and Eminem is Eminem having innate mass appeal and becoming instantaneously beloved over night. I don't need to reject the rest of your moronic schizo babble because it has nothing to do with Eminem being a unique outlier who captured a wide audience. That's the fricking point. Dre saw potential. His business partners saw a weird gangly white guy. He argued on Eminem's behalf, Eminem got his album, and SSLP became an overnight success. Everything but the success part is part and parcel to how artists come and go within music. You fricking dummy.

Every single band, artist or country bumpkin with a guitar has gone through the same process as Eminem. Eminem just happened to have appeal. If you want an actual industry plant, look at somebody like Taylor Swift, whose parents were already wealthy and shipped her off to LA with a chunk of change to meet producers. Eminem went to rap battles where he interacted with his peers and where talent scouts hung around. Is Justin Bieber a plant because P Diddy found him singing on YouTube? How did Eminem go from good rapper to dogshit rapper In less than a decade after making it big? After Eminem show there is a huge dip and constant decline into dogshit. He doesn't even rhyme the same anymore.
Also why does he have so many fans that just eat up all the shit he releases?
It's why so many older artists respect him for his love and knowledge of the craft, and why so many newer artists shit on him -- because they know that even 20 years later, he's still one of the biggest names in the game and if they can bait him into mentioning them, it will make them bigger than they are.
at its core popular music is a talent show for kids and when you get to old you lose touch with the kids and whatever flavor their rebooted fake rebellion is. zoomer kids want bars about minecraft not the tom green show
I still enjoy 90s-00s Eminem underground shit. His latest albums are just bad in my opinion. I use to be a stan in my teens but grew out when he released all that crap like Encore and relapse.
You just grew out of your teen edgy phase that the entertainers were exploiting for your mom's hard earned money, that's all. Popular music was always the lowest common denominator brain frying shit.
implying Black folk ever did any of the shit they claim as their culture, even in the early 1900s they said they learnt to play music from the devil in exchange for their souls, in other words israelites who were 76% of the slave owners taught them all and are today all their ghostwriters, and in exchange they will reclaim their souls in the end and by that they mean black people as a whole will be fricked in the ass probably harder than whites are right now
>PAY NO ATTENTION TO MY INABILITY TO DEFEND MY POSITION. >I CANT EXPLAIN WHY EMINEM IS BAD, BUT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT PLEASE LETS MOVE ON TO ANOTHER TOPIC AS I TRY TO END THIS
After over 20 years, Eminem is still so popular that he can make a thread blow up on a Cinemaphile tv board, all while morons try to argue that he's not popular, despite being the highest selling rap artist 2 decades in a row.

Why are they shilling a movie from 2002? And how are they Chinese in particular?
You're one of the most fascinating posters I've seen in a while just for how crazy you seem

>Why are they shilling a movie from 2002?
why do shills always do this routine, like streaming services don't try to advertise their newly licensed movies on here >how are they chinese in particular?
they mostly hire chinese shills because they can work them like dogs and pay them basically nothing. chinese people dont respect themselves enough to demand dignity or even passing respect. It's a no-brainer to hire them.

I'll be fair and say there's a 51% percent chance that you're schizoprhenic and 48% chance a chinese (not even black, chinese) OP made a thread how white boys can't rap and is thus shilling a 2002 movie, that's been posted probably countless times on Cinemaphile.

>Eminem isn't influential!
He broadened the appeal of rap and firmly pushed it toward its current mainstream status today, and without him there wouldn't be the horrible onslaught of crap like NF, MGK, Logic and Hopsin. Eminem is fine but his musical descendants are dogsshit, same as Tupac's.
>Artists who are clearly and obviously inspired by their forebears is a Chinese concept
You're an idiot. In literature, Raymond Carver is a shitty Hemingway and DFW is a shittty Pynchon. Ja Rule was a Tupac clone and Eminem has numerous imitators of varying degrees of success.
>Needlessly

Back it up with an argument. How am I a chink and what the frick does that have to do with Eminem?
Rap is shit. The rhymes are kiddy grade level. None of them even approach the lyricism or thematic scope of Bob Dylan. I like Rakim and De La Soul but it doesnt surprise me how shallow rap became to this point because the rhyming schemes are so simple and chained to the beat that it was only a matter of time before you got to mumble rap and Nikki Minaj
>Rap is shit. The rhymes are kiddy grade level.
Muh rhymes. This is why whites should stay of rap ruin the whole thing. it goes. Beats, voice, flow, muh rhymes. Black folk are not listening for deep shit they want to dance and do drugs and drink lean. Its why kendrick, jcole are trash artist who wouldn't even be top 1000 in the 90s.
Yo trump likes it in the rump

Oh also it’s not cool to call people homosexuals anymore even though that’s how I got myself famous slim anus paintus with a paintbrush coffee pot super hot I think not trump
Why can't people admit they hate Eminem because organe man and have to instead craft some shitty bait about him being shilled by the Chinese because someone said he was popular?
Eminem's music aged like shit. Go back and try to listen to Marshal Mathers Lp with a straight face, even Kim is cringe. Also shady record has the worst beats, just dogshit.
>OP makes a shitty thread >Anons call him moronic >Says nobody likes or listens to Eminem >Gets BTFO from all sides >Seethe, cries, smashes his keyboard >Spends remainder of thread only pretending to be moronic and responding to every post

Black rappers who take rap seriously like Joyner Lucas get the same hate that Eminem does. You're thinking of actual hood rappers who would be killing each other even if they didn't rap.

I don't like Eminem. I'm saying you have to be a complete fricking moron to act like enjoying one of most beloved artists in history, as backed up by sheer numbers, is "embarrassing." Liking him is the norm, dumb Discord baby.
>dumb Discord baby
>He doesn't try to deny it
You've been raised on lonely internet communities convinced of their rightness in everything. Unfortunately, you're moronic. Eminem is at the same stature of Elvis, Bob Dylan or Michael Jackson. You dumb, overweight Discord baby.
>You dumb, overweight Discord baby.
>the shill is also a diaper fetishist
kek
>Eminem is at the same stature of Elvis, Bob Dylan or Michael Jackson.
this is by far the most moronic opinion in this thread. Bob Dylan is an excellent songwriter who literally made the entire 60s, m&m is not 'at the same stature' of Dylan
That poster is clearly baiting you at this point but you deserve it for being contrarian enough to deny any success eminem might've had. Piss poor quality does not equal popularity anon, it never did. I'm sorry.
>ahhh hah! i trick u whyboi, u repry to my post, i win, rorororor, me trick you good!
Is he even popular in China?
He's definitely influential. Whether you like it or not, he's one of the most known names in rap. Not sure why it's even that important though. Do you even like rap? I barely listen to any.
who said that eminem wasn't popular? that alone doesn't make him an influential figure in the genre or even in the industry which is the main argument in this thread. dont change the subject kiddo
>Sells more than both biggie and tupac combined, the most widely referenced 1 and 2 of the genre
>not influential
COPE
>First rapper to ever win an Oscar
>Stars in a massively successful movie, cementing his status as a great rapper and actor the likes the world has not seen since

Yeah, definitely not influential lmaoooo
Bob Dylan is a talentless homosexual and the easiest way to tell if someone is a clueless hipster homosexual, it’s when they discuss their obsession with bob fricking dylan.
Name one time someone said “I love
Bob dylan” and they weren’t Immediatley a wiener after they said that
he did the lyrical shuck and jive real good anon, you have no idea what youre talking about. He's a talentless singer/musician though.
moronic baiter, go back to Cinemaphile
>Stature means talent
If you wave Eminem'a blonde headed picture at some kid in Afghanistan the kid will know who he is immediately. Same for Elvis and MJ. Maybe not Dylan. I'm talking about pure ubiquity of presence and have already said at the beginning that I don't like Eminem, you moronic fricking moron. Slit your wrists.
How are you not embarassed to post on Cinemaphile , he, homosexual?

dunno what you were trying to say with that wording but made me kek, so good on you
>unironically liking one of the most universally liked artists two decades in row as evidenced by album sales, stream numbers, sold out tours and remaining a trending topic on various social media platforms when he does something as simple as post a selfie
That other anon is correct, you're in denial about reality and Eminem's well respected position within it. This is what happens when you grow up on Discord. You start believing your own insanely false, stupid shit.

If not for Eminem, rap wouldn't be so popular as it is today. Prove me wrong.
His music doesn't even play in the clubs.
Nor is 2pacs nowadays, yet he is considered one of the best rappers in the world and an influence to every other rapper.
My point is that Eminem brought rap to white people and made it mainstream.
rap has been "mainstream" with white people since the early 80s, when it became a salable style in general.
False.
>new wave bands like tom tom club start rapping on their albums
>funk bands like george clinton start rapping on their albums
>rnb/soul bands start rapping on their albums
you said rapping, not hip hop.
>rap has been "mainstream" with white people since the early 80s,
Whites hated that shit. Around the late 90s it became popular it was fricking everywhere in pop culture. Rap only got big because Vanilla Ice and Beastie boys and then of course Eminem for the 00s. Add white and whites eat it up. Logic shouldn't even have a career but he's Eminem clone so he sells.
The best white rapper is still Vanilla Ice, he made music everyone could dance too.
you have no idea what you're talking about anon, probably because you live in some poor third world hell-hole and have a comically fractured understanding of american culture.
Rap got popular because beastie boys, vanilla, ice, Eminem. Before then it was just jungle music.
You have no idea what youre talking about anon, you're just remembering when you started seeing it on tv lmao
Whites in the 80s were not listening to rap in the mainstream.
>"mainstream" with white people since the early 80s
You have no idea what you're talking about, zoomer.
I never said that you quoted the wrong person.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wordy_Rappinghood
horrible tracks like that were already on the charts in '81 anon, white people love tom tom club.
>white people love tom tom club.
Never even heard of that shit, zoomer. Wiki is not a real source of information.
>Never even heard of that shit, zoomer.
it's the drummer and the bass player from the talking heads' side band, their videos played all the time on MTV. What was it like growing up in the third world, dreaming of becoming an american one day, and now you spend all your time posting on an american board? It really came full circle for you anon lol
>What was it like growing up in the third world
Southern California? Pretty cool back then. Anyway. This "Wordy Rappinghood" shit was New Wave, not rap, you dumb little turd. I checked it on Youtube.
FYI, Whites listened to metal in the early eighties. Except for New Wave homosexuals like yourself.
>rap has been "mainstream" with white people since the early 80s,
You have no idea what you're talking about, zoomer.
>Nor is 2pacs nowadays,
Pacs been dead for 30 years, Eminem still makes music yet I never hear his shit at the clubs or even house party's. I know hes a popstar since his album sales and popularity and stans yet you never hear his shit. You even hear 50cent sometimes.
Also he has a weird cult, if you don't like his fast speed rapping or lyrics then you're 80 IQ moron who don't understand his skill etc.
obviously
he's one of the best known of all time
he is like the justin bieber of rap, popular but not in any way influential
That's a wildly bad take. His first three albums are absolute classics. He's in no way influential, yet somehow manages to make every OGs top 10.
>His first three albums are absolute classics
>anon doesn't know what "classic" means
It's almost universally agreed upon, sorry anon. Go back to listening to kenny chesney.
>It's almost universally agreed upon
"Classic" albums aren't supposed to have filler on them, his albums are full of filler. And who gives a frick about your moronic consensus?
Yeah, frick my moronic consensus. Frick the common take that SSLP/MMLP/TES are one of the best 3 album runs from a hip hop artist. Everybody else is wrong and your opinion is definitely the correct one.
foh lol
Common takes don't mean anything, hip hop fans don't know their ass from their elbow and don't listen to enough music period. Imagine being so pathetic that you're shilling for a half dead wigger on a television and film board.
>Common takes dont mean anything
>BUT MY OPINION DEFINITELY DOES
lmaoooooo ok
Imagine being so pathetic that you're taking the time to respond to a thread about a half dead wigger on a television and film board and acting like you know hip hop lmaoooo
>brooooo you dont know hiphop
you wont even defend his work, you know im right. Black person
I did, anon. See
that's not discussing his work lmao there's no substance to what youre saying, you're just saying words. No discussion of the tracks, the album's construction, the mixes, nothing lmao
Where was I asked about it? Where, in any part of this thread, did you ask me about it? Instead it's just:
>DURRR EMINEM BAD
>WIGGER
>EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG, I'M RIGHT
Suddenly I'm supposed to read your mind for your criteria of what qualifies as "defending someone's work"? Keep moving goal posts, lmao
>say eminem didnt make any "classic" albums
>anon literally spergs out
youre out of your depth, your boss isn't going to be happy with you, this thread is dead already lol
It's cool, anon. I know you don't actually have anything outside of "eminem bad" to work with here. You just keep on attempting to act like you "know real rap" without actually giving any evidence of the contrary.
I know he's not popular with zoomers, it's fine. I'm sure recess is almost over.
What his first album where he completely steals the NAS/AZ flow?
Black person what
nobody counts infinite, it was an independent release.
>His first three albums are absolute classics.
Only Marshal Mathers LP since it feels like an actual rap album instead of some horrorcore pop crap.
He never got the praise in rap. Honestly, I think it's because Eminem has too many 'trying to be funny' records. He rhymes well, but there's no substance in any of his records.
And sure, most rappers are without substance, but at least they aren't half as corny as Eminem.
>He never got the praise in rap
Signed by Dre, praised by Nas, Jay-Z, Rakim, DMX, Lil Wayne, Drake and any other artist who has reached titanic status within the genre and gained enough clout that their opinion means something. The frick you smoking lmao.
>signed by Dre
Interscope probably went like 'we need a white boy to make some money here, go co-sign him'. It worked
>praised by Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, Lil Wayne, Drake
Industry stuff. What, do you think they would just randomly call him shit and close several doors with Jimmy Iovine and all the other israelites behind him?
>praised by Rakim
All the rap legends are poor. KRS-One switches his opinions every other minute for money, for example.
Eminem was literally just an industry plant that never got big inside rap circles. If not for the desire to push a white rap star, Eminem would have peaked as another of those cringe Rawkus Records forgotten artists.
sounds like copium
If you honestly believe Dr Dre actually had the idea of signing a corny white rapper to sing "Hi, my name is' during the height of gangster rap, you are actually stupid.
That was obviously Interscope telling Dre what to do and who to get behind. Anyone who believes the fake narrative that Dr Dre just randomly listened to Eminem and got impressed is actually dumb. Go listen to his Rawkus Records singles before he signed with Dre and tell me thats a phenomenal rapper.
>Phenomenal rapper
When you see potential, you nurse it. Dre brought on a female rapper at the same time as Eminem and worked with them both. Eminem proved himself faster and the girl got dropped. I don't remember her name, though.
>caring about gangster rap
ALL OF A SUDDEN DR DRE IS G THANG
BUT ON HIS OWN ALBUM COVER HE WAS A SHE THANG
>Interscope went
They told Dre not to sign Eminem. Dre liked the SSEP and decided to chance it on Eminem despite blowback you frickhead dummy.
>Industry stuff
Yeah, Nas fighting Jay Z, DMX drug troubles, Lil Wayne getting locked up, and all of them working with each other and respecting each other's achievements is pure stuff, no genuine appreciation for the numerous songs they've made. Also you have to consider the hundreds upon hundreds of white rappers who were as big as Eminem. Such as...
>All the rap legends are poor
And they still choose to give Eminem kind words.
>Eminem was an industry plant
There's more than enough evidence to suggest he was poor as shit, hard working, and repeatedly rejected until the SSEP got him some attention. Sometimes dreams just come true, OP. Yours won't, though LMAO.
>They told Dre not to sign Eminem
I bet you think wrestling is real too anon
>Every single person who has had creative talent, worked on it, funded their own album production/published their own book, been rejected, continued to try, and eventually received success is actually just an industry plant
You're a mind broken fricking moron. Stephen King living in a trailer and sobbing when he found out somebody was buying Carrie? Industry plant. Michael Jackson being tortured as a child by his father and being mercilessly shaped into a spectacular showman? Industry plant. Eminem selling copies of his shitty album out of his trunk and getting middling reviews from local rap magazines while steadily building a name for himself until eventually noticed by a bigger fish in the entertainment ocean? Industry plant.
lmao anons having a whole conversation by himself here, what the frick
no I meant the third world you silly Black person, where you grew up, where you still live.
>lmao anon having a whole conversation with himself

>I'm still literally MINDBROKEN
Well yes that's apparent
>literal no u

>They told Dre not to sign Eminem. Dre liked the SSEP and decided to chance it on Eminem despite blowback you frickhead dummy.
>DONT BELIEVE DR. DRE, HE'S LYING BECAUSE.... UHHH... JUST DON'T! I KNOW THE REAL HISTORY!
ok, anon. Take your meds.
>nooooooooooo the undertaker really did bring the ultimate warrior back from the dead! noooooo nooooo noooooooo it's real!
This DRe da real G sum uncle Tom lovin b***h ass gay num wham sayin
>So you just believe that Dre went out of his pocket to finance Eminem's entire early career with no backing whatsoever?
You fricking dummy.
>he buys the entire kayfab lock stock and barrel
anon ive got some very important investment opportunities to talk to you about
>He gets so definitively b***h slapped and proven incorrect that his only retaliation is a snarky response
Or is he just a lucky fricking kid? You're the kind of fat dumb dipshit who thinks nothing can be achieved and insults anybody else's successes because of it.
>another text wall
>anons still talking to nobody in particular
don't you get bored of it lmao
>Another brief cope
>OP still wallowing in his folds of fat and ignorance
Just remember that you know nothing about how the world works and should never make another thread again. I'll happily keep reminding you, you fat sad failure, LMAO
Again, your post is completely irrelevant and ridiculous lol who are you even talking to? why are you saying all of that?
>LOL, responding to my moronic assertions and providing evidence to further prove how moronic I am is completely irrelevant
You should go back to typing in broken Chinese, dipshit.
I get what you're doing and all but you really jumped the gun with that ridiculous damage control, if anything you made all of the lurkers even more skeptical of the entertainment industry. You really wienered that one up anon.
>You really made people skeptical about an industry that 99% of performers, including Eminem, have to audition to get into, mostly with demos or EPs, like Eminem, and who only receive continued support, like Eminem, if your shit actually sells, like Eminem
Anybody who is skeptical of common sense should probably kill themselves. Which begs the question of your current existence, you idiot.
>he's still doing damage control
lmao making it worse with every single post. You're gonna get in trouble :^)
>No retort
I'm enjoying all of these victory laps around your corpse.
>retort
I can't retort your insane argument that doesn't involve me anon, I'm not going to get between you and the brick wall you're trying to argue with. You're still going to get in trouble though, I already let them know. :^)
>I keep replying because I'm so smug

what question was that? I'm laughing too hard over here to keep track.
So you admit you're baiting?
that's the question you wanted to ask me? No. I'm not baiting.
>still literally MINDBROKEN
>MINDBROKEN
Well yes, you are, that's still apparent

lmao you're like a dog, I pull your chain and you come and perform for me.
>lol I'm like a moron, I make assertions with no basis in reality, get b***h slapped by numerous anons, then devolve into making Chinese posts and saying nothing
I'm enjoying all of these victory gambolings around your corpse
>brings up china out of nowhere
>refuses to elaborate
>keeps going
I mean, you've given me good ideas for when I need to bait ppl but from an unironic standpoint it's perplexing. I guess the ole pajeet meme got.. old.
Oh it's how you type and how you seethe at being outed as chinese, that's mostly what clenched it. I've just been getting you to talk over and over again, digging yourself into a deeper hole, so that every lurker reading the thread could figure out what was going on for themselves. And then I've also been bumping your thread out of pity, kind of like a charitable donation, like I'm buying you dinner anon.
You've been calling multiple people chinese for no immediate reason. I'm curious as to the thought process behind it. Granted, it is funny. Especially because of chinese and american relations and the prospect that a chinese person would be shilling american media in particular.
But with the amount of schizos here I can't tell anymore when someone is serious or just baiting.
>You've been calling multiple people chinese for no immediate reason
just the one poster, the poster count hasnt meaningfully gone up in over 150 posts.
Yeah, and the other guy too. And possibly a third guy, since one of those was me.
Explain yourself. Is it because of Vietnam? Those were different chinks y'know.
it doesnt help your cause when you keep posting these chinky replies, i can smell the boiled cabbage through the computer, chang.
I get it now. Eminem said something about Vietnam, didn't he?
not that anon but 'nam is no laughing matter
>Just one poster
The fricking cope on this guy lmao
I'm not even mad, just curious. If it's bait I agree that it's good because there's practically no rebuttal to it.
He's OP, insisted that nobody liked Eminem, and completely broke down under pressure when the entire thread told him he was wrong. Then he started saying Chinese shit for no discernible reason and here we are. That's why I laughed at
>Just one poster
Delusional cope on his part.
Could be, but I don't think OP was being serious either. Regardless, funny thread.
yeah? that's why you did that? you fricking maniac lmao

>NOOO STOP KNOWING THINGS
How did Eminem go from good rapper to dogshit rapper In less than a decade after making it big? After Eminem show there is a huge dip and constant decline into dogshit. He doesn't even rhyme the same anymore.
Also why does he have so many fans that just eat up all the shit he releases?
he got sober
he wanted to stop being so negative
is he still just doing rap god really fast stuff?
It's why so many older artists respect him for his love and knowledge of the craft, and why so many newer artists shit on him -- because they know that even 20 years later, he's still one of the biggest names in the game and if they can bait him into mentioning them, it will make them bigger than they are.
what a pathetic shill post holy frick lol

Good post
at its core popular music is a talent show for kids and when you get to old you lose touch with the kids and whatever flavor their rebooted fake rebellion is. zoomer kids want bars about minecraft not the tom green show
I still enjoy 90s-00s Eminem underground shit.
Agreed. No matter how clever the lyrics are, it's still silly to see a white person rapping.
Ghostwritten by dr. Dre, all of it
Dre can't write tho.
Em was ghostwriting for Dre on 2001.
implying Black folk ever did any of the shit they claim as their culture, even in the early 1900s they said they learnt to play music from the devil in exchange for their souls, in other words israelites who were 76% of the slave owners taught them all and are today all their ghostwriters, and in exchange they will reclaim their souls in the end and by that they mean black people as a whole will be fricked in the ass probably harder than whites are right now

You're right. Eminem actually made his 230 million with cryptocurrencies.
>Look, if you had MOM'S SPAGHETTI
>i know we in the hood now!
he totally lost the final battle against the rich black. it's hilarious the movie tries to make it look like he won by a landslide.
OP is blind and deaf
After over 20 years, Eminem is still so popular that he can make a thread blow up on a Cinemaphile tv board, all while morons try to argue that he's not popular, despite being the highest selling rap artist 2 decades in a row.
The copium. Em stay winning.
I find it funny that people would be so invested in this debate anyway. It's obviously just because muh orange man bad and no other reason.
>thread has barely 100 posts in it
>shills are responsible for 60-70 of those posts
yeah he's blowing up alright lmao
>Already the 24th most replied to thread on the board RN.
Sure seems like it is!
Rap is a trash genre anyway now. Music used to be the one thing blax were good at, how about you guys fix your bullshit.

>OP still afraid to post his own taste in music
It's probably not Eminem.
he doesn't actually listen to music, they don't allow you to in chinese prison (where he's posting from)
Wasn't the pro-Eminem guy chinese? This is getting confusing
they're the same poster lol it's a poorly thought out but common tactic shills use to try and pad out their #s, since they get paid so very very little.
Why are they shilling a movie from 2002? And how are they Chinese in particular?
You're one of the most fascinating posters I've seen in a while just for how crazy you seem
>Why are they shilling a movie from 2002?
why do shills always do this routine, like streaming services don't try to advertise their newly licensed movies on here
>how are they chinese in particular?
they mostly hire chinese shills because they can work them like dogs and pay them basically nothing. chinese people dont respect themselves enough to demand dignity or even passing respect.
The missing 1% if you actually being OP and crafting this entire thread for some kind of bait, but I doubt it.
lmao where did you pull those numbers from you crazy sperg?
Same place you pulled out everything else you said ITT: your ass.
you got numbers out of my ass and actually posted them? anon youve got shit all over your hand, look at yourself, what's wrong with you?
>Eminem isn't influential!
He broadened the appeal of rap and firmly pushed it toward its current mainstream status today, and without him there wouldn't be the horrible onslaught of crap like NF, MGK, Logic and Hopsin. Eminem is fine but his musical descendants are dogsshit, same as Tupac's.
Em made MGK leave the genre though. That's definitely gotta be worth something.
>musical descendants
lmao definitely a chink
>Artists who are clearly and obviously inspired by their forebears is a Chinese concept
You're an idiot. In literature, Raymond Carver is a shitty Hemingway and DFW is a shittty Pynchon. Ja Rule was a Tupac clone and Eminem has numerous imitators of varying degrees of success.
needlessly focusing on ancestors/forebears is definitely chinky behavior
>Needlessly
Are you 12 fricking years old? It's a matter of listening to a song or reading a story and noticing nothing but imitations of a former, superior artist.
>ahhhh y u say ancestah wahship chinese ting ta do? ancestah big impowtant, ver much, everywhere prostitute pranet wide
youre not helping your cause here chang
>Noticing influences
>Means you're worshipping them
You can barely comprehend words and their meaning you fricking idiot lmao.
it's curious that you're so sensitive to being called a chink, I mean, why are chinks always so ashamed of being chinese? Is being chinese inherently shameful?
you're literally being baited bud
You're replying to a mentally ill person
>ahhhh that postah is mentarry irr! no repry! no give repry no mo!
>my strategy is to call people random races without a lick of an argument
Good for (You)s but bad for the actual point you're trying to get across. Then again, you probably made this thread with this purpose in mind.
>random races
I've been calling you a chink the entire time you crazy chink.
>that post is riterarry bait! is bait post! no repry!
lmao
Back it up with an argument. How am I a chink and what the frick does that have to do with Eminem?
Rap is shit. The rhymes are kiddy grade level. None of them even approach the lyricism or thematic scope of Bob Dylan. I like Rakim and De La Soul but it doesnt surprise me how shallow rap became to this point because the rhyming schemes are so simple and chained to the beat that it was only a matter of time before you got to mumble rap and Nikki Minaj
Rap battles still have some good lyricism.
Its all low hanging fruit in terms of what they string together tho. I dont think any rap artists has heard of a second draft in their life.
>This is why whites should stay of rap ruin the whole thing.
chinglish moment
Why should white boys rap? They're too busy "running the world".
>all white boys are one person

Why can't people admit they hate Eminem because organe man and have to instead craft some shitty bait about him being shilled by the Chinese because someone said he was popular?
Eminem is gay because his entire image was politically incorrect and now he is part of the system he hates. Yo frick Donald trump.
Thanks for the sane explanation.
Trump sucks though
Yo yo he be racist yo Eminem got mad bars for dat ass
Eminem sucks too. Better contribution to the world than Trump tho. He made some stuff that was passable to listen to in middle school.

Rap is moronic. Learn to sing or play an instrument.

Why does america work rike this?
he's not only the king of Cinemaphile now but also Cinemaphile
Eminem has sucked for years, but his early stuff was good. This is the correct opinion.
true
He’s still great. More people on Cinemaphile listen to him than you know.
Musicians, singers, rappers, etc, can't be artists. A true artist respects silence as the foundation of creativity.
Charles Dickens performed for street crowds, Shakespeare is read aloud, and the original literature was oratory. No need to suck me off, my dick is already deep in your brain.
Obvious that you never graduated from art school
I didnt go to art school, I went to Art. He taught me everything.
Is it?
I checked my meme dictionary and you are correct. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. However, I shall be leaving my dick.
It's a meme you dip
>A true artist respects silence as the foundation of creativity.
You're a pleb if you don't think there are silences in music.
how did he lose his thumb??
WORD BRAH
DA SOUNDZ OF REPEATING DEFEANING BEATS IS IVERSION OF SILENCE BUT IT STILL IS
IZ BE DEEP LIKE THAT BRAH
he's quoting a meme
White people can rap but they take it too seriously like everything they get involved in. It's why people like Jack Harlow, he's not some goofy ted talk rapper. He just raps about cars and hoes, which is what people want.
Black people can take rap very seriously too. That's why so many rappers get shot over it I guess.
Black rappers who take rap seriously like Joyner Lucas get the same hate that Eminem does. You're thinking of actual hood rappers who would be killing each other even if they didn't rap.
