This really isn't that bad. It has a better selection than netflix and fewer commercials than cable.

Call me old fashioned but I do like the experience of picking something off a guide. Pluto is also good but they show way too many ads when you first start something. I just use the breaks to post here so it's not that bad.

      >Pluto is also good

The frick it is. I'm willing to live with a few ad breaks but Pluto is fricking ridiculous. There was movie the other day where it was available on demand, on tubi and on pluto and the pluto version was like 40 minutes longer than the other 2 versions and that's all ads. In some cases ads are unironically 1/3 of the airtime. And it's the same fricking ads over and over and over again. I cannot understand how anyone can tolerate that shit for more than 10 minutes.

They have a great selection but it's pointless because the service itself is unwatchable. I refuse to believe any actual humans use Pluto to watch movies on a regular basis

Nah, I'm an American. My brown 3rd world gf downloaded it to watch some ridiculous telanovela and I started going through the library and was really impressed.

I do like how it feels like old fashioned TV a bit. I get the ad breaks to go to the restroom, grab some coffee, etc. Except it's better. I watched The Fugitive on it the other day and didn't get the frustrating feeling like you'd get on cable. You know, when you get like 5 minutes before they throw in another 5 minute ad break.

It's owned by Fox so not surprisingly most of the content is their back catalog. I agree the selection is surprisingly good. I have noticed that they play games with users and selection though. They will put some older movie franchise on the service just before rebooting it. Or they will rotate their more popular movies in and out for a week at a time.

If you like some older releases which aren't well remembered or newer B-movies, then this is a legit service for you. If you're the kind of person who is overwhelmed by different options and you just want to hit play and watch a kino then this is pretty good if you are ok with movies disappearing after a week or watching some comedy from the 70's you haven't seen before or at least in a long time. Personally, I just torrent shows.

I'm a little surprised Columbo is on it considering it's an NBC/ABC series.

yeah but if you accept them then eventually you will have the obnoxious ones like cable tv had eventually

Between Tubi and PlutoTV I have enough background noise and just enough good things to keep me content. I’m probably going to cut cable because I find everything new these days to be hopelessly anti-white agenda driven, it’s tiring to see all commercial breaks now featuring either no white people at all or mixed families, and the only news I can stand to watch is Newsmax, which is free online. Most networks are only running reality tv and squirreling what used to be standard cable television behind paywalls anyway.

It really is enraging how practically EVERYTHING is anti-white now. The only reality tv I watch is cooking shows, and so far this year every competition has used shady judging or cheap tricks to eliminate the straight white contestants. Even more recent Beat Bobby Flay features mostly ethnic competitors cooking food I’ve never heard of, and Chopped the same. There simply is no enjoyment in any of it for me.

I live in an area where Comcast is one of the few reliable Internet services. It comes packaged. However there are other services becoming available now, and I may finally be free from Comcast. They truly are a horrible company.

Cable has been expensive trash for over a decade now. Most of your bill goes to paying for sports broadcast rights. For as much sports that I enjoy watching, an antennae is a far better deal. You can watch a few things on the weekend.
