The """natural""" and """realistic""" dialogue is like nails to a chalkboard. The way they try to make the characters likeable. The glorification of shitty luxury dining. The change in focus to all the minorities instead of the main character and his cousin. The extremely embarrassing love story that takes up all the scenes with the main character. Season 2 is unwatchable.

you wouldn't get it, civie
>civie
what? you have to be in the military to understand this show?
why?
>mfw the civvie doesn't get it
they never learn
stfu civvie
is this show worth a shot?
sell it to me.
diversity is okay if they don't try to make a point with it
i liked the first season. the second season has great reviews but i find it unwatchable for the reasons i wrote in the op
The diversity isn't anything but I truly believe 3rd season will receive backlash along these lines. Its well executed and almost cozy but after S2 I've had enough and find it treacle corny like when every Pixar movie was making normies snotty cry. The writing doesn't hold up when you think about it later.
S1 was easily better than S2 I don’t get why everyone jerked off so much over S2. The Christmas episode was the worst episode.
are these bots or esl?
which part of my post is confusing to you?
is this show worth a shot?
>The very thread that you are posting in is titled, "This show is insufferable"
sell it to me.
>The very thread that you are in is about discussing this show.
>The first paragraph details several specific problems such as strikingly unnatural dialogue, the undue glorification of luxury dining, and bizarre focus on secondary characters over primary ones. This framing suggests that the first season did not suffer these problems to this strange peculiarity of degree.
>Finally, when presented on screen is embroiled in a love story characterized as extremely embarrassing. Not only is the main character a non factor in what is supposedly his own show, but that very show seems to have shifted tonalities during its second season. This clearly does not bode well for the continued enjoyment of the viewer, and they state as much:
>"Season 2 is unwatchable." If for any reason you were unable to determine how OP feels about this show or whether this show has gained or lost quality, the conclusion is a mere succinct sentence of terse, unmistakable finality.
All of your questions were either answered immediately or would have been answered in the discussion that followed. You entered a discussion thread asking if someone would discuss the topic of the thread with you. This behavior I've seen replicated in both bots on this site and non-native english speakers.
are you autistic?
it's clearly written by chatgpt
what is?
Yes, I have autism. Like full blown Chinese eyes autism. I'm actually typing this using a BCI. I'll never get laid.
>diversity is okay
No it isn't.
it's funny to realize that kitchen workers really see themselves as this important no matter the scale. i expect it from gourmet chefs or TV chefs but then you see "actual ground workers" talking this shit up and it's like oh wow you all actually believe this.
it's only insufferable bc it's the latest craze once youtube cheffing became a thing
but every single profession, ever career, is the same. listen to med school students talk sometime. it's no different.
at least medical students have the chance of being in proximity to real world shit. a kitchen is a kitchen, it's about the lowest stakes thing in the world to everyone outside of it.
Have you ever been to a nice restaurant with family or friends? ever went to a restaurant and had an enjoyable memorable experience like a first date? or anniversary? etcetc.Work in a restaurant for one single friday night shift at any place you like. then tell me how low the stakes are. Customers want perfection when they eat out. they're all insufferable and rude brats, who have no respect for the kitchen, the establishment or the workers but still demand perfect service and food for a low price. I think chefs inflated egos are pathetic, thats true. but to say the stakes are low and its "just a restaurant" is fricking moronic. id love to see you throw a hissy fit the next time you eat out and service and food isnt perfect, you can remind yourself how none of it matters right?
Service workers get what they deserve. Nothing.
It is literally just a restaurant, yes. As I said, outside of the kitchen itself the only people who care that much are people like you who have anger issues.
>the next time you eat out and service and food isnt perfect
What do you think I'm going to do, throw a tantrum? Is that what you do lmao? If the food or service is bad at the restaurant, you leave a bad tip and don't go back. If the service is bad at a hospital, you die. If it's bad at the mechanic, your car breaks. I'm sorry you fell for this psyops, but the service industry is inherently low stakes because anyone can do it.
Medicine saves lives so it's pretty natural its practitioners have an inflated sense of self worth.
Line cooks at some Chicago shithole don't do anything nearly as important in their entire career.
Iatrogenic harm is literally the third leading cause of death in developed countries. You're more likely to be killed by a doctor or nurse than you are to die at the hands of a mass shooter or in a car crash. Yes, really.
Medicine saves lives .. and it also takes them, incredibly often and it's a stupendous work of propaganda that the average person has no idea just how dangerous medicos actually are.
>You're more likely to be killed by a doctor or nurse than you are to die at the hands of a mass shooter or in a car crash. Yes, really.
Lmao what a fricking moron
>You're more likely to die from something you do hundreds of times in your life than something you might never be involved in, ever
Mongoloid homosexual Black person israelite moron.
Statistics were a fricking mistake when it's a clinically moronic person reading them
>t. inbred trump voter
while i agree the medical industry does disgusting, harmful shit nonstop, that study about medical malpractice being a leading cause of death is highly extrapolated
Next time you need medical care just do it yourself. You seem to have everything figured out
Line cooks are the barely employable dregs of society. Illegal immigrants, dumb aggro blacks, tatted up white trash. They have to pretend their job is super fricking important as a cope for working at the only place that will hire them after they got out of County and they need to make their court ordered child support payments.
Imagine trying to draw a comparison between restaurant kitchen workers and medical practitioners. Holy cope.
We get it, you're israeli
>judging morons who managed to frick up their entire lives before 20
>must be a israelite
Yeah, you nailed it buddy. What's the latest ink you got instead of paying your bills?
What do your parents do? It'd be cool to take a glance at the "Early life" section of your Wikipedia article.
You must realize the irony that your life more closely reflects that of a hoodrat Black person or Hispanic while being a white supremacist? Us middle class whites view you as scum because there is at least a paternalistic, infantilizing excuse given to poor nonwhites. But you? You will never be "in the club" and you know it and you're scrounging for anything you can to feel better about your existence.
Dad was a carpenter that worked up to white collar management in construction. Mom worked customer service jobs in retail. How about yours? Petty criminals turned lifeless drug addicted husks that could barely give you attention growing up?
The true supremacy is demonstrating being better rather than having to yell about it. Trash
imagine getting this mad at a kid on Cinemaphile
Imagine thinking everyone that thinks less of you must be a israelite rather than simply sensible.
Stop glorifying being gutter trash and strive to be better.
i dont know man. one of the episodes is literally an hour exposition of carmy and cousin, and you have the other episode which focuses on cousing fixing his internal dilemma. i didnt wanna watch the show but my girlfriend got me into it and i cant say i felt like any 'diversity' was forced. it felt natural, especially for an area like chicago. as far as the dialogue, and maybe its just me, but it does feel very natural. i also dont think the show is attempting to glorify luxury dining as its more showing the almost psychotic mentality you need to have a luxury dining place. ergo carmys breakdown in the last episode.
>i didnt wanna watch the show but my girlfriend got me into it
its a show for women
So is supernatural but the tards here ate it up staring at male abdomens.
You're 100% right. I'm a little concerned you stuck with it all the way until season 2 though, i couldn't watch any more than 1 episode.
stay in your lane, civiehomosexual
Marcus is the worst part of the show because the actor is sleeping through all his scenes
You’re not wrong about his acting, but I like Marcus for the simple fact that his character is really quite wholesome and endearing. And his episode in Denmark is comfy af
agreed, love my homie marcus
carmy was right to lose his shit on him in s01e07 though, b***h we have got to get these orders done, show me the fricking donut later
season 1 was unwatchable. the perma-online dialogue and forced drama/conflicts is ironically unbearable.
>perma-online dialogue
I have no idea what this means in the context of the show, but I think it says more about you than it does the script.
one of the most common observations about the show says more about me? possible, but not probable. the characters sound like twitter feeds.
>I have no idea what this means in the context of the show
thats one scene in the first season, nothing like that ever happens or is said again
>they only put a little bit of shit on your sandwich, what's the big deal?
meant for
There’s a line in the pilot episode where one of the main characters calls a bunch of unruly nerds
>incel QAnon Cinemaphile Snyder cut motherfrickers
Cinemaphile has been seething over that line for over a year now. It’s really pathetic. The line worked perfectly in the context of the episode and the amount of butthurt on Cinemaphile is endless
This is how service members talk you cowardly piece of shit. Every civvie opining on this show should spend a holiday season or two in the frontline, then see if they'll keep spouting their uniformed garbage.
>t. two tours on the line at Outback 2016-18; 19-21
Thank you for your service.
Also, can I have a sandwich?
Cooking is for homosexuals and women. Only redditors like this show. You can tell because only redditors regurgitate memes in the current year and they're forcing this meme hard.
Projecting much? Mad because the big bad line chef got your gf to eat out of his hand (and something else lol)
>Projecting much?
homosexual or women detected. Men don't form statements as questions.
Don't worry little guy. Maybe you'll get a complimentary souffle next time a sauce chef fricks your gf
Cousin has an entire episode dedicated to him which is appearing on best tv of the year lists btw
This show is made by champagne socialists on how they perceive capitalism
die for israel while serving goyslop kek
>/pol/cels so mindbroken they mix up completely separate professions now
Thank you. Absolutely spot on.
it was written by Anthony Bourdain, of course its insufferable.
The black girl completely ruins an otherwise pretty good show
Cooking is not a big deal. These guys need to chill out.
The fact The Bear gets this many threads is living proof it's the greatest show of the last 5 years.
