I think there is something kino about the scenes in old movies where they have the character pose in a artistic way looking out the window of their train for example and above their phone you get that HOOT noise and see the text above it, then they calmly text back and then you get a quick response

Just so it's clear, this no longer happens on iOS. All incoming messages are grey now, with message type stated above it if it's switching between iMessage or SMS/MMS. The only bubbles that are blue or green are your own outgoing messages. If they get delivered through iMessage servers, they'll be blue. If they are sent through SMS/MMS, then they are green.
