what a couple of homos
What a fall from grace.
I miss the early animation style that looked like paper cut-outs now its generic adult animation
Wasn't paper cut out stop motion literally only used for the pilot and then never again?
Yeah
Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to instead of just stating the fact that you know? Why is your whole generation like that? Is it because you're afraid of being wrong?
>Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to
PIG FRICK
Lmfao he’s calling the other guy wrong tryhard
In the most passive aggressive homosexual way possible. Asking a question instead of stating a fact. Fricking coward discourse.
A bloo bloo bloo
>being this assravaged and still so passive aggressive
No wonder your women prefer any other generation to frick lmao
Thank you anon I hate that shit too
>We hate the thing that made us 100's of millions of dollars
Okay.
>>>We hate the thing that made us 100's of millions of dollars
>Okay.
jews have the right to repentance
>nooooo you can't age 20 years and become a new man with mature sensibilities! you can't build a career and fortune and then proceed to be well behaved now that you have something to lose and others to provide for! you can't! noooo!
stop looking to the people who were edgy decades ago to keep fighting. that's not their job. younger talent is supposed to take the reigns. SP has been establishment-approve edge for a while now and if you haven't found something to supplement it, that's on you for waiting for the establishment to hand-feed you a new property to consoom.
Is dedicating an entire season to the supposedly 100% certain failure of Donald Trump, only to then massively backpedal once you realize that he won the election part of the "mature sensibilities" you're talking about?
yes. milking your cash cow via a pre-approved message that most of your fanbase is already on board with is the mature thing to do.
>hey we're running out of ideas and passion, should we axe the show? oh Viacom just offered us millions of more dollars to keep shitting out their propaganda and mask it as our own original thoughts? and even if we say no, countless pieces of landfill media will take our place and convey the same thing? and all the sincere episodes we made years ago didn't actually change the way anyone thought?
>lets keep going
You said "mature sensibilities", not "mature decisions to make money with", disingenuous loser.
>sensibilities don't influence decisions
decision making is pretty much the number one thing that changes as someone gets older
Keep moving that goalpost, israelite.
i didn't move any goalpoast. I explained to you that your rebuttal wasn't actually a rebuttal but ok. and yes you just got outsmarted by a israelite on this public forum. have a good day and thanks for the foreskin
DUDE TEGRITY WEED
Probably because they make people realize just how shit the later seasons are!
the episodes where they run out of ideas so they parody scenes from movies are among the worst ones
They were doing that since season 1 though
Four assed monkey.
Kinda how the always sunny guys hate the first season because all the black jokes and troony joke
It was literally the only good season
eh some was a bit silly but that was the charm
Watching a sneaky stream right now of teggridy era
I have fun with it all
>I have fun with it all
nobody gives a frick
Like Frankie Boyle. Makes millions off of being offensive and now sees himself as a champion against offensive speech.
What happened? Any specifics?
Went from making jokes about Jordan Price dating a cage fighter so he could defend her from her autistic son raping her, complaining about not being able to name his TV show "Deal With This, morons" to demanding the BBC sack Jeremy Clarkson for saying a nursery rhyme that usually has the n word in it but he didn't actually say.
I doubt they hate them because they're so offensive, the earlier seasons are really tame in terms of edginess
Uhh
Frankie Boyle's jokes on MtW weren't even funny. They were just cheap shock value.
Their religion changed, what can they do. It used to be part of their religion to be transgressive, really stick to the white man. Now that their religion considers that racist/sexist/etc - that is, sacrilegious - so they have adapted.
What do they consider early?
Think its the first 2 seasons, might be 3. They say it on the dvd comms. Its not even new news, its old, everyone knows they hated the first few seasons because they said so ages ago.
The DVDs in the cardboard snap cases are the only good ones. These motherfrickers are huffing each other's shits.
Okay, now how do they feel about the last ten years of seasons?
City on the Edge of Forever is the peak of their fricking careers and its like Season 2. Watch them not make a sequel to their WGA strike episode now because it's insensitive.
Gotta wonder if they’ll make an episode on Dial of Destiny
They did a really good one for Crystal Skull at the time
that's one of the episodes that genuinely sucked in the early seasons
the pip episode that's a parody of dicken's great expectations is one of my favorite episodes
For me it is the other way around.
The early stuff is good and the last 10 years has been garbage.
No. It's dated. Patrick Duffy??
Duffy's career high was when he was on Dallas in the late 70s and through the 80s, even when that episode of SP was made he was seen as an irrelevant actor from a previous generation, hence why they poked fun at him
For me it was Jimbo and Ned telling the kids how Vietnam was hell and it cuts to them riding rollercoasters
Haha so random xddd
Wow way to completely and utterly not get the joke. Jesus fricking christ bud get it together
>thinks portraying Nam as a fun place to be was a so random humor
are zoomers really this dense?
I only like the early episodes. Anything after s4 is full and just repeats the same jokes
>I like South Park before butters existed and before randy was an established character
Butters was just one of the "melvins" during S3 but Randy was already Randy at that point, see the episode Spontaenous Combustion
people say it becomes trash after the scott tenorman episode
everyone on Cinemaphile is uber try hard contrarian and will put a lot of thought into coming up with reasons why the good stuff is actually bad. most people here will tell you only the first 4 seasons are good
>take risks
>become rich
>stop taking risks
can you blame them?
Early seasons of South Park had soul. It was more focused on humor and it perfectly fitted in the zeitgeist. I remember downloading episodes and burning them on DVD. It was the time of Jackass, Viva la Bam, Linkin Park, Eminem and Limp Bizkit. All this edgy stuff together created the perfect atmosphere for the show. Also playing Motorcross Madness 2 or Tony Hawk
>Jackass, Viva la Bam, Linkin Park, Eminem and Limp Bizkit.
It's truly irritating who shite culture has been for so long. Having Viva la Bam being one of your cultural touchstones is just about max humiliation.
That whole list is everything that was shit about that era except for Jackass. Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park? Frick off with yer gay ass.
I’ll take Don Vito’s mush mouth ass over Tiktok humor any old day of the week.
>it perfectly fitted in
South Park ended on season 15. There's a two episode arc that provides an unofficial ending to the series. It's the authors winking at the audience, like when Seth MacFarlane killed Brian only to resurrect him later. It was Matt and Trey's unofficial goodbye to the series. The show will go on because they'll keep milking that cow until the very end, but it's not worth it as a viewer. The show was already on a downhill course from there.
The best South Park episodes for me were the ones where they act like actual kids and then escalate from there. I don't like them being so self aware.
This. I have a soft spot for the japanese weapons episode.
Everybody remembers someone who acted like Cartman when they were playing.
Frick it, I'm still butthurt because this one time we were playing a humans with guns vs dinosaurs type of thing and one kid who was a dinosaur decides to "throw a grenade" and hit me in the face with a stone
Fricking piece of shit
He did that on purpose and knew it was a stone. You should've beaten the shit out of him.
Nah, that would've gotten interrupted. I took my revenge later by cutting the cords of his earphones
Maybe, but there are plenty of autists who wouldn't know they were hurting someone, my child self included
The whole Mr. Garrison arc about changing gender was so prescient. At some point he's literally told he'll never be a woman. I would have never imagined reality would get much worse than that.
Those are the only good ones though. Is there a single show from the (semi) based era that hasn't had it's creators get down on their knees to apologize to and worship Black folk and homosexuals?
If the creators of South Park weren't israeli they would have never been allowed to go on after first episode.
Correction one is israeli and the reason with park succeeded is revealed in the episode "cancelled"
Now that's what I call a sticky situation!
But we love tegridy farms and raising black sons
As a kid it was really hard to follow the early seasons of south park, I didn't have the same problem with later ones
How? They have such simple storylines.
I really don't know, the same thing happened to me with the simpsons. I think it's because of how it looked like.
Good Lord anon they're simplistic as hell
nah, Simpsons quality/time is a bell curve, South Park is a downward diagonal
>South Park is a downward diagonal
I'm not saying that quality went up later seasons and I wouldn't be able to since I haven't watched the earlier ones but can't that the later seasons look much better.
>we hate the funny stuff that had soul
Eww
I loved the early seasons in the German dub, they often times used unusual words to enhance the humor "Kampfkoloss", "Hungriger Hugo", "Kotzkrücke", "Ökofritze" and used a lot of great voice actors. The translation of the episode where Cartman dresses up as Hitler was so fricking well done: When he says Sieg Heil in English, they translated it to "Wie geil" ("How awesome!") and that shit was memed around school yards for a couple of months. Then at some point some homosexual decided that the translations should be more on script. Anyway South Park died after S15, I agree.
Same with the early italian dub...they cancelled the show in Italy because of muh chilluns even though ita was aired at midnight.
When they aired it again they redubbed it all over again...but it was not the same.
>they translated it to "Wie geil" ("How awesome!") and that shit was memed around school yards for a couple of months.
kek oh my fricking sides
Isn't it like one voice actor on the german dub? I mean the dub is okay but I always preferred the original even though I didn't understand all of it with my limited knowledge of the English language.
South Park stuff has just been "current event" episodes and not really actual stories of the characters. It's weird watching South Park episodes that are a few years old and some, now obscure, pop culture person/thing or event is what the episode is about.
I got some laughs out of Mark Zuckerberg being a badly dubbed kung fu movie character
"Shtoyle" was a funny fricking word.
Replace early with contemporary and I will agree.
They never said this.
You didn’t link an interview because you’re bullshitting
No, they are homosexuals.
seasons 1 and 2 of south park are garbage. 3-10 is the peak
Nice numbers, but still wrong. Peak is 1-6
The show declined when they made fun of celebrities. So by the end of season 1. The first time they did it with Patrick Duffy, Mecha Streisand. The Starvin Marvin episode is classic but also has that problem. Season 1 is the best but it out then on a path to making episodes that become irrelevant or cheap laughs. I was only a fan of season one. The fact they don’t like the best season shows how clueless and out of touch they must be.
Those seasons aren't as good as later seasons. Peak South Park is seasons 5-11.
extremely wrong
Extremely correct. Go rewatch the whole series like I did last year then get back to me, okay?
“If I had to permanently erase anything from the library, it would basically be anything before season 4. It’s just embarrassing to watch. OK, we were, like, 26, 27. But it’s like, ‘Really? We thought that was funny? We thought that was well-written? Oh my God, this is terrible.'”
Everyone else feels the same way about the new several seasons of slop
Happening? I thought they've been saying this for years.
Personally I wish the last at least 5 seasons were never made
>first few seasons have like 24 episodes
>newest season has 8
Frick these gays lol
South Park May have been going downhill at the time, but the final death knell was the introduction of plot lines that span the whole season. Frickin gay and I don’t care.
If they're talking about the first 2 seasons they're right. They're hard to revisit, I never rewatch them.
Season 3 and 4 are good.
Season 5-8 is the golden era
Show should have ended after season 11
yes, its a bunch of fart jokes
Thats because the Mary Kay Bergman shot herself in the head with a shotgun
I agree. The first two seasons were edginess for the sake of it. 3-9 were peak.
A question for any zoomers in this thread:
Do you have a hard time following the timely humor of the earlier seasons? So much of that show’s humor is a product of its place in time, so I can’t imagine the older episodes have aged that well if you weren’t there for it.
The whole Christopher Reeves sucking fetuses for stem cells episode would be completely and utterly lost on them without a brief history lesson.
>I POST A WHOLE PARAGRAPH IN ALL CAPS IN THE SUBJECT LINE
Fricking boomers are such moronic crybabies.
>PARAGRAPH
It's a single sentence
Citation?
Wait you're telling me a israelite and his schabbos goy would use their show to make money and shove their political agenda down our throats and aren't proud of the early cartoon simply made to just make kids laugh? I am astounded
They only hate them because they have become the very same people they mocked.
To be fair, most people that have been creating stuff for a while hate their old stuff. You could ask a random /ic/ Anon what they think about their old art and they’d give the same answer.
They hate them because they can't replicate them
I feel the same way about blacks
>lampoon the SARS craze in 2002
>buy into covid hysteria in 2021
their backpedals need backpedals
>someone had a change of opinion 20 fricking years later
>backpedalling
this is unparalleled autism bro.
They only said that for Seasons 1-3, and even then they admitted there's some decent episodes in Season 3. Stop overreacting.
Season 1-3 are ten times better than the last 5 seasons combined.
They’ve always said this and they’re right. Outside the Korn episode, it relies on a lot of shock humor for the time.
>we hate the stuff we actually made and that made us famous
>wish the decrepit writing staff who spews out news stories of the week would've done the work for us from the start
>THE EARLY SOUTH PARK SEASONS
Which seasons is that, bros?
