I dont think it was horrendous or anything. Just you know how it is dealing with an "artist" - s1 was very much a passion project of pizza for years, and hes a novelist first and foremost. Sacrifices have to be made bringing that to a TV show - stuff like cutting long unnecessary dialogue, or parts of the story. Fuku had to negotiate with pizza the whole 8 episodes on this and you can imagine it being hard work. Now that pizza has a name though he wouldn't have to do that. Basically without Fuku s1 wouldn't have been the masterpiece it is, it would have been flawed with incoherent pacing and 5 minute long dialogue about things that aren't relevant

https://nypost.com/2022/05/27/kamloops-mass-grave-debunked-biggest-fake-news-in-canada/
>One year ago today, the leaders of the British Columbia First Nation Band announced the discovery of a mass grave of more than 200 Indigenous children detected at a residential school in British Columbia.
>“We had a knowing in our community that we were able to verify. To our knowledge, these missing children are undocumented deaths,” Rosanne Casimir, chief of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, said in a statement on May 27, 2021.
>What’s still missing, however, according to a number of Canadian academics, is proof of the remains in the ground. “Not one body has been found,”
>Since last year’s announcement, there have been no excavations at Kamloops nor any dates set for any such work to commence. Nothing has been taken out of the ground so far, according to a Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc spokesman.
>A handful of random political science professors whose only involvement is having read an article on it declared it fake news so it's been debunked
Not the most compelling narrative.
Actually the burden of proof to debunk something is on the person claiming it is debunked.

Yeah well I think them excavating entire acres surrounding where these bodies are alleged to be buried and not even finding a fricking knuckle bone is pretty compelling evidence for a deboonking

You must be Canadian. The burden of proof is on the accuser.

"This is not true" is a positive claim which requires proof. Without proof, the issue is still up in the air. This is basic logic.
Yeah well I think them excavating entire acres surrounding where these bodies are alleged to be buried and not even finding a fricking knuckle bone is pretty compelling evidence for a deboonking
Nothing in the article says this happened; in fact it states none excavations have been done.
This guy rapes children in the most gay way possible.
You have no evidence of this. Similarly, I have not provided evidence it is false. Therefore I can certainly not claim that your claim has been debunked. Do you understand now?

This guy rapes children in the most gay way possible.
maybe my greentext wasn't clear there's a lot of angles to the story
some nutty b***h did radar scans of a graveyard, finding 'anomolies' - indigenous immidiately hold a press conference announcing the mass graves of children, with details they couldn't possibly know ('ages as young as 3'). media calls it 'our george floyd moment'. 33 churches in Canada are burned to the ground by insane covid era bluehair shutins
in the cases where digs have occurred to verify these anomalies, it's been 'Ooops turns out it was a tree trunk not a child'
trudeau gives 23 million to the indigenous, there's 'orange shirt day' every year for the 'missing children', and anyone who questions it is 'engaging in genocide denialism' which they're looking at making illegal rn in canada
>The Canadian government and provincial authorities pledged about $320 million to fund more research and in December pledged another $40 billion involving First Nations child-welfare claim settlements that partially compensate some residential school attendees
What a fricking grift
How much does it cost to hire a backhoe for a weekend and verify this shit?
>https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/pine-creek-residential-school-no-evidence-human-remains-1.6941441 >Fourteen anomalies were detected using ground-penetrating radar in the basement of the church on the site of the former Pine Creek Residential School last year. Survivors had spoken about "horror stories" in the basement. >The First Nation, northwest of Winnipeg, hired an archeological team from the University of Brandon to do the excavation earlier this summer. It is the same team that assists police on archeological digs and excavations in the province. >No evidence of human remains has been found during the excavation of a Catholic church basement on the site of a former Manitoba residential school.
There is literally zero evidence of mass graves. Some ground penetrating radar found some stuff and without evidence it was claimed to be mass indigenous graves.
I don't have to prove fricking anything you moronic piece of shit. The graves are fake until proven otherwise.
>The Canadian government and provincial authorities pledged about $320 million to fund more research and in December pledged another $40 billion involving First Nations child-welfare claim settlements that partially compensate some residential school attendees
What a fricking grift
Several years ago, it was a really big story that a mass grave had been found some indigenous school. The story was back in the early 1900s, the Canadian government killed a school full of Indian kids and covered it all it up. It was a huge story in scandal and all that was talked about for months.
Fast foward a few years. They excavated the site and failed to find any bodies.
We never really know when to stop, do we Ray? Sticking to that first slice of pizza instead of gorging ourselves. And to make matters worse, we also have IBS.

I'm not just talking the first season, I'm talking about ALL SEASONS, I can't seem to get that through to you. I'm not just talking about one episode, I'm talking about every episode. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content. I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about flat circles, Alaska, spirals, Prior's overtime. Do you understand... FINALLY?
'Huh' as in, "Huh? What the frick is this lady talking about?" Because there was no evil corporation in the first season. You're clearly too low IQ to have watched season 1. You should probably stop coming to True Detective threads.
When I say "worked in construction" I mean they ran a construction business. Plus one Tuttle was the governor and the state is a corporation with a monopoly on violence.
Chill, man. I don't care about True Detective: Night Country season 1. I'm just pointing out that the Tuttles did not only run a megachurch. They had for-profit business interests as well.

I think a bunch of inuit cleaning ladies sacrificing arctic scientists for disturbing the lair of their dinosaur ghost god could have been kino, shame how it turned out.
>'We call them the justice ladies,' Jodie tells us. > >'They have been in the show all along and the audience has to recognise that, in some ways, they're complicit because they never paid attention to them. > >'They just they were invisible to them so there's a guilt that the audience has that they never figured out the plot because they underestimated these women, because they didn't think anything of them.
They didn't really make the ending 'you should just let eskimo women murder people because they're owed it due to....le racism" did they? Because that would be completely insane.
>you didn't notice that 12 otherwise unrelated and inconspicuous women were scattered as background characters throughout the show without even a hint of their involvement.
I noticed the camera hovering on the eskimo chick that worked at the police station, but there was never anything significant about her shown or told. Am I just supposed to assume literally anybody on camera could have been the secret killer all along without evidence?
I guess the cleaning ladies decide to kill the entire station of scientists without any evidence at all that they were all guilty, so this logic checks out from the women writing this show..

but considering the entire thing, S2 is superior because the last episode of s3 sucks major fricking ass
Good thing he’s a writer instead of a director. If the material works with the right director then the material still works. Everyone quotes that season all the time and there are several iconic scenes. It’s a good story, it makes no sense to say Pizzaman had no responsibility for its success just because FukaBlack person brought it to life
When did I mention season 1 at all in my post? No seriously, what are you even referencing? Whatever point you think you're making I assure you you're not making it.
Pizzolatto seemed like a moron as early as the season 1 post-episode YouTube shorts. Way out of his depth. Season 1's greatness is 100% due to Fukunaga and the two leads. Season 2 and 3 showed his real, untalented self. And his career is as dead as it can be.
Having said that, season 4 is unbelievably terrible, every episode is like a stand-alone gigaturd, that ends on a cliffhanger that isn't even brought up again. And the finale might be the worst finale in the history of TV shows. Pure incompetence. Were it not for Jodie's superhuman efforts to elevate whatever trash the stupid b***h wrote, it'd have been a cancelled CBS pilot.
>be Issa Lopez >want to make series where you don't offend any marginalized group >also if you're experiencing symptoms of mental illness you should, like, go drown yourself to be one with nature >you'd be some old lady magical Black ghost or something, it's 100% worth it
what the frick, they did Navarro dirty
The dickriding of TD season 1 and this fricking hack are one of the most puzzling thing of the last decade.
I haven't even seen the other seasons, but even if they're complete dog shit, S1 was just a pulpy collection of genre clichès and sophomore-year philosophy student banalities. >The world needs bad men. We keep the other bad men from the door.
WOW, Holy KINO!!!
I can't understand if the World's filled with literal fricking morons, or if it's some kind of massive ruse.
I'm not baiting, it's got a nice atmosphere and direction from Fukunaga, but it's stretched out, filled with cringe-worthy lines written by a high schooler trying to be deep and cool and so many moments are just fricking corny, like the Lawnmower man going "My family's been here a looong, long time. >:^)".
none of this would have happened if true detective was a miniseries
why HBO decided to make this into anthology....
Vincekino was good, just end it there.
Ligotti is not original. He's a whiny gay that is adequately articulate.
>Vincekino was good
explain to me how this was connected to any way to true detective?
why this couldn't be a separate show?
if the show was titled Carcosa or something EXPLICITLY to S1 then you have a point but True Detective is a pretty generic and open-ended title.
>how are broken, realistic detectives plunged into a deep and dangerous conspiracy by the powers that be even remotely comparable to broken, realistic detectives plunged into a deep and dangerous conspiracy by the powers that be?
If you tell Ligotti to kill himself, he becames a crying mess and starts lashing out angrily. That's how you know Ligotti is a hack.
>He's a whiny gay that is adequately articulate.
Perhaps... But he has a distinct style of prose Pizza was clearly emulating.
On my for Rust, who was a coping pseud so it makes sense
You guys know that writers read books by other writers, right? They're all emulating the styles of their influences to some degree.
Issa has never read a book in her life.
And when he stopped ripping him off in the second season the show went to shit and never recovered.
because of franchising satan. did you not get it yet? everything successful will get milked dry.

S1 was good because Fukunaga was allowed to direct all 8 episodes, which is also why binging it feels so good, it's like an 8 hours movie.

>the canadian mass graves hoax
qrd?
Bunch of spear chuckers claimed the Canadian government genocided their people and buried them in mass graves with no proof. In fact it was deboonked.
major publications are still coping hard about this because they went all in on a lie about genocide
https://nypost.com/2022/05/27/kamloops-mass-grave-debunked-biggest-fake-news-in-canada/
Burden of proof is on you, leftard.
Nothing in the article says this happened; in fact it states none excavations have been done.
You have no evidence of this. Similarly, I have not provided evidence it is false. Therefore I can certainly not claim that your claim has been debunked. Do you understand now?
So you rape kids?
This guy rapes children in the most gay way possible.
While drinking Bud Light?
maybe my greentext wasn't clear there's a lot of angles to the story
some nutty b***h did radar scans of a graveyard, finding 'anomolies' - indigenous immidiately hold a press conference announcing the mass graves of children, with details they couldn't possibly know ('ages as young as 3'). media calls it 'our george floyd moment'.
That entire story has been so insane, especially trying to make any denial illegal. Did that actually pass?
oops scratch that
23 BILLION
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/judge-approves-23-billion-first-nations-child-welfare-agreement-1.7006351
How much does it cost to hire a backhoe for a weekend and verify this shit?
>33 churches
Based nooticer
Is this dirty mexican basement meant to intimidate me?
>Fourteen anomalies were detected using ground-penetrating radar in the basement of the church on the site of the former Pine Creek Residential School last year.
The graves are fake until proven otherwise.
what a great season. outstanding stuff.
>The Canadian government and provincial authorities pledged about $320 million to fund more research and in December pledged another $40 billion involving First Nations child-welfare claim settlements that partially compensate some residential school attendees
What a fricking grift
trudeau probably had family members leading the project
Several years ago, it was a really big story that a mass grave had been found some indigenous school. The story was back in the early 1900s, the Canadian government killed a school full of Indian kids and covered it all it up. It was a huge story in scandal and all that was talked about for months.
Fast foward a few years. They excavated the site and failed to find any bodies.
It's simple. They secretly moved the bodies to Syria.
We never really know when to stop, do we Ray? Sticking to that first slice of pizza instead of gorging ourselves. And to make matters worse, we also have IBS.
>I found myself in a bit of a pickle so I turned myself into one, Ray. Caspere knew this.
one of the main criticisms on /reddit is that it glamourizes suicide and you know what? I agree with them. How absolutely disgusting of them to tell young biracial, bisexual, native women of color that suicide is a good option. hbomax makes me SICK to my stomach
Yet the loved the Last Jedi. Curious.
Bidengays vote against their own economic interests
True detective was only good for the first 3 episodes. Then it drops off a cliff. The final episode is a fricking joke.
Are you referring to the first season?
I'm not just talking the first season, I'm talking about ALL SEASONS, I can't seem to get that through to you. I'm not just talking about one episode, I'm talking about every episode. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content. I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about flat circles, Alaska, spirals, Prior's overtime. Do you understand... FINALLY?
>Do you understand... FINALLY?
Ask the right question, moron
In English, doc.
Lmfao, moron
TD should have just ended at S1 even though I liked S2.
>Stole a line from a C-list Alan Moore comic spoken by an alien horse god
He got what he deserved
>thinks Moore invented "once there was only darkness"
You're telling on yourself.
Someone should "steal" the entire plot of From Hell and make it into a mini-series.
Someone should steal the movie and turn it into a comic book
I've never seen it yet I am confident in stating it does not do the comic justice.
it actually does by being as shitty as the comic
Frick, man, whatever happened to Heather Graham?
I believe she is still pretty with big breasts. Or at least that's what I choose to believe.
I would accept a top 10 cartoon by pizza
>S04E01
>CGI deer
>3 girl boss moments in the first 15 minutes
I turned it off at that point and rewatched season 2. I'm better off for it.
Yeah guys, isn’t it interesting?? Guys..?
she also coped about how 'it would be silly' for there to be more than 1 evil corporation so she used Tuttle
https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueDetectiveMemes/comments/1avf7jd/issa_explains_reusing_the_flat_circle_line_it/
>it would be silly for there to be more than one evil corporation
Yeah, because there definitely aren't more than one of those...
>an evil corporation in the first season
Huh?
She doesn't know what she's talking about. We had senator Tuttle and a Tuttle running a megachurch.
Yes, moron. I already know all of this because I watched season 1. But thank you for repeating at me what I already said.
You just said "huh", homosexual.
'Huh' as in, "Huh? What the frick is this lady talking about?" Because there was no evil corporation in the first season. You're clearly too low IQ to have watched season 1. You should probably stop coming to True Detective threads.
Yeah ok then.
Some old lore doc Pizzaman posted said the Tuttles worked in construction.
Not a corporation.
Trying to larp are a chad alpha male just makes you look like a moron.
When I say "worked in construction" I mean they ran a construction business. Plus one Tuttle was the governor and the state is a corporation with a monopoly on violence.
So, what, the moronic feminist who wrote season 4 is right all of a sudden? You can't take a loss so you suddenly want to give season 4 credit?
Chill, man. I don't care about True Detective: Night Country season 1. I'm just pointing out that the Tuttles did not only run a megachurch. They had for-profit business interests as well.
I almost fell out of my chair alright, from the inertia of throwing the nearest thing.
Post chair.
No.
You're in Night Country now, little priest.
This moronic DEI hire literally never even watched the first season of TD did she. There's no way she could have.
would a 60 year old woman really be able to survive dropping down into a frozen ocean and then being carried wet through an extremely harsh sub zero temperature blizzard all the way to the very far tsalal station
>I waz liderally shidding and gumming from dime dravel referenze 😀
I always thought Rust lied about his dad and the old sniper/bar owner was his pops.
Didn't he steal all his good stuff from Lgotti? That's why none of the other pizzaman seasons were good either
>You know Ray, they say the pen is mightier than the sword, but in a word of guns the crayon is the mightiest of all. Lucky for me, I just bought a 24 pack of Crayolas. Caspere knew this.
Bravo Pizzaman
Is this dialogue real?
no, you moron.
Why didn't the original post mention Pizza's other two seasons?
Ironically he also wrote one of the worst season finale himself
bros, I still want the original season 2...
>the original season 2
qrd?
train system being used for occult purposes
So the big reveal of this season was 'a bunch of ugly dumpy native women did it'? That's it?
I think a bunch of inuit cleaning ladies sacrificing arctic scientists for disturbing the lair of their dinosaur ghost god could have been kino, shame how it turned out.
>palette
Trannies irrevocably blown the frick out forever. Time to pencil in that suicide for 9 pm tonight
pizzalotto is a one hit wonder. oh well. he's rich now so he doesn't give af. now he can sit back and produce shitty woke content.
>
>
Gee, didn't anons here already call them out as the killers as early as episode 3?
Yep, most people called it weeks ago.
We have always been at war with Eastasia.
It's true, though.
Double plus true.
I knew it was the cleaning ladies since literally the first scene with the blue king Easter egg. Suck my dick you crypt keeper looking prostitute
>you didn't notice that 12 otherwise unrelated and inconspicuous women were scattered as background characters throughout the show without even a hint of their involvement.
You should have been counting fingers
Haven't watched any of season 4. QRD on last episode?
You guys didn't ACTUALLY watch season4, did you?
I haven't even seen the show at all
Watch S01, at least. It's kino.
its reddit
The hero is an atheist anti-natalist with synaesthesia who says thinks like "philosophically speaking I am a pessimist though I prefer to think of it as being a realist"
Rust was intentionally a pseud, you moran.
he's an edgy gay who over the course of the show becomes less of an edgy gay. here in the business we call it "character development"
He used nihilism to cope with the death of his daughter you smoothbrain
I did, sunk cost. But I really enjoyed shitposting about the finale so I think it was worth it. Glorious trainwreck
I did. It's fricking horrible.
I've only seen 1 and 2 and the first episode of 3.
Nope. My intuition tells me it's shit.
watched every episode together with the frens on brettygood. the shitposting and streamanon's fricking around was kino.
this last episode was the funniest shit ever, like you couldn't tell whether it's the streamanon spamming the soundboard or if it was the show itself being utterly moronic lmao
that's a lot of words for basically just confirming you're a homosexual
the drama on reddit has been pretty hilarious:
>almost everyone hated it after episode 2
>the people that liked it still flipped out and made a separate sub where you weren't allowed to criticize the show
>all the posts there were about how the people on the main true detective sub were terrible racist misogynist monsters
>when the finale aired, the guy who originally made the hugbox subreddit acknowledged that the season sucked
>he shut down the sub and the blue hairs freaked the frick out and started sending him death threats and stuff
some morons will like literally anything as long as it panders to them
people have given up on finding media they enjoy, instead they try to find solace in championing media that their perceived enemy dislikes
Someone in that sub unironically posted
>I really like this season because I can tell the people apart easily
That’s the type of person who enjoyed s4
>not making this up as they went along
i feel such deep regret for saying this to someone about breaking bad while it was airing. i can never live that down. why did i fricking believe that?? slow shots?
Why do some people create art in hatred of their audience? Like why even bother if it's all in spite?
S1 > S3 > S2 > S4
this is the final and objective ranking
nope.
If we exclude the last episode, yes. S3 > S2.
but considering the entire thing, S2 is superior because the last episode of s3 sucks major fricking ass
S2 has way bigger and more fundamental problems than the conclusion sucking
i dont give a frick
>Cinemaphile used to roast pizzalettuce and frickuniga
>feminist season happens
>suddenly Cinemaphile loves those goobers
time is a flat circle, lmao
pizzaman is actually a fairly shit writer, he just now gets the benefit of being compared with someone much, much worse
Cinemaphile has always loved season 1 and despite Pizzaman being a one-hit wonder the first season is superbly written. What are you on about?
>the first season is superbly written
imagine anyone but mcconaughey delivering rust's lines and you start to see the cracks in the writing
S2 > S1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> literal shit
this is the objective and final ranking.
Caspere knew this.
None of this is an original thought. You should revisit your opinions more often.
Frick off Jodie
No Time To Die showed us what a hack Fukunaga is.
Is DEI going to die any time soon? Blackrock need to stop funding this shit. Issa Lopez should never be hired for another thing in her meme career.
>be Issa Lopez
>want to make series where you don't offend any marginalized group
>also if you're experiencing symptoms of mental illness you should, like, go drown yourself to be one with nature
>you'd be some old lady magical Black ghost or something, it's 100% worth it
what the frick, they did Navarro dirty
The dickriding of TD season 1 and this fricking hack are one of the most puzzling thing of the last decade.
I haven't even seen the other seasons, but even if they're complete dog shit, S1 was just a pulpy collection of genre clichès and sophomore-year philosophy student banalities.
>The world needs bad men. We keep the other bad men from the door.
WOW, Holy KINO!!!
I can't understand if the World's filled with literal fricking morons, or if it's some kind of massive ruse.
while anon sometimes overblow it the season is very good unlike your attempt at bait
I've only ever watched season 1, and will continue to watch it, again.. and.. again..
Starting S02's finale in a sec, lads. I have a bad feeling about this...
