Environmental conditions didn't necessarily deem it necessary for them to become "intelligent" in our sense of the word. Give any other animal the same amount of time to evolve and they won't necessarily become more human-like
What? Yeah, it had to happen to one offshoot, and given different conditions it wouldn't be humans, it'd be something else. I really don't know what's hard to understand about this

>had to
not really. there's no reason the universe should be here either, yet it is.

That has nothing to do with evolution

Nature abhors a vacuum. In completely empty regions of space, and in similar conditions reproduced (in very small areas because it's difficult to do) here on Earth, it has been found that subatomic particles spontaneously come into existence before disappearing just as quickly. The creation of the universe may well be a similar spontaneous explosion of all the matter that exists, springing up from an infinite void. If the Big Rip theory is correct, then it will happen again and again in timeframes longer than humans can conceive of--literally quadrillions of years.
>keep watching the documentary >"actually its entirely possible that our reality is just a computer program or that the universe was created by ancient aliens
It's a pretty epic self-report about your moral compass if the only way you can and would treat human beings with dignity is if you believe your own diety created them. Whereas I treat people with respect because they are sentient beings capable of suffering.
Suffering in itself isn't morally wrong, it's a part of life. Unnecessary suffering caused with intent is what you with your terminology would call morally wrong because it isn't beneficial to the survival of the species. It all comes back to reproduction
Unnecessary as in anything that isn't a natural biological process. We're getting into semantics here and I'm happy to refine my definition but that's what I go off of and it's served me well as far as consistency goes thus far
So basically your "maximum good" is the physical/emotional wellbeing of sentient species? Its nice but not logically sound.

What's wrong with that exactly

Its not wrong in and of itself but it doesn't work as a foundation for morality (if we want such a thing). I have no duty to act in the best interest of others. The only real reason to do so is societal pressure and state violence. Its a tower with no foundation.
A liberal Muslim homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx.
“Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Marx, and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world, has ever known even greater than Jesus Christ!”
At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life, Navy SEAL champion, who had served 1500 tours of duty, and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decisions made by the United States, stood up and held up a rock.
“How old is this rock?”
The arrogant professor smirked quite israelily and smugly replied “4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian”.
“Wrong. It’s been 5000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real … then it should be an animal now”.
The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out the room crying those liberal crocodile tears.
The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named “Small Government” flew in the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country
The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plaued AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.
this Black just copied carl sagan
And? Carl sagan was arguably even a bigger midwit. He invented the concept of the r-ddit science man.
SCIENCE WON
Chuds will seethe..
Just like Galileo would have wanted.
So they're admitting that Science is a religion?
So you're saying that a man can never be a woman?
>evolutionary scientists theorize that…
Turn off immediately
>ancient astronaut theorists believe that…
turn that shit up
>18 seasons
>210 episodes
>still no aliens
maybe the aliens were the friends we made along the way
Ancient astronaut theorists theorize that we are living proof of aliens
also every ancient monument was created in honor of or with the help of aliens
For me? It's all about intelligent design. Like only using 20% of the water I ingest and pissing the rest
I've never understood why people think evolution and creationism are incongruous
If we came from monkeys how come they still exist?
Because they just exists ok?
they didn't want to evolve and we wanted to
>if diamonds come from earth how come earth still exists
We didn't come from modern day monkeys. Monkey ancestors branched off into modern monkeys and humans. It's really not that difficult
Then how come modern monkeys are just as dumb as ancestor monkeys? It doesn't add up.
Environmental conditions didn't necessarily deem it necessary for them to become "intelligent" in our sense of the word. Give any other animal the same amount of time to evolve and they won't necessarily become more human-like
but it deemed it necessary for one single species of humans on the whole planet. how convenient.
What? Yeah, it had to happen to one offshoot, and given different conditions it wouldn't be humans, it'd be something else. I really don't know what's hard to understand about this

bullshit!
Well I guess that disproves it then.
Because we killed all the hominids that stood in our way
>If I’m moronic, how can smarter people exist?
Fricking hell anon, go be moronic somewhere else.
smartest creationist
>keep watching the documentary

Being a moron, like you, must suck ass.

which face should I soi you with
Why is suffering morally wrong? inb4 "it just is ok"
Suffering in itself isn't morally wrong, it's a part of life. Unnecessary suffering caused with intent is what you with your terminology would call morally wrong because it isn't beneficial to the survival of the species. It all comes back to reproduction
>Unnecessary
Do you have enough data to prove this?
Unnecessary as in anything that isn't a natural biological process. We're getting into semantics here and I'm happy to refine my definition but that's what I go off of and it's served me well as far as consistency goes thus far

Same, except if they're Black folk, israelites, pajeets or chinks
why do jannies never delete /x/ schizo threads? fricking morons
