At least they got the caliber right. Bond didn't use the .380 version.

Literally do not care about bookcuckoldry.
If I wanted to read a book I wouldn't be sitting in the middle of a theater with my tentpole erection arching towards the ceiling slow stroking with greasy popcorn butter.

I know this is a homosexual thing to complain about, but the PPK was already an unreliable antique by the time they got to Timothy Dalton in the 80s
they were 100% right in updating to the polymer PPQ partway through Brosnan's run and they shouldn't have brought the old one back during Craig's era
the Bond producers got Aston Martin to make a concept car just for Spectre they had no intention of bringing to market, I'm surprised they haven't gotten Walther to design a modern single stack to finally replace the PPK
fricking make their own version of the CZ-P10m, it would fit the exact same purpose but it would be a realistically modern gun

polymer guns are fricking gay shit and have no real benefits other than meme marketing shit since weight is both insignificant and not universally bad

besides is a movie and they should only car about looks and polymers look like shit too

It would be pretty easy since you just need sensors on the magazine

Someone probably will eventually just to pander to the soi gamer market, but it wouldn't be adopted militarily because its utterly pointless. You can easily gauge a close enough estimate of how many rounds you fired without even having to think about it

            >You can easily gauge a close enough estimate of how many rounds you fired without even having to think about it

not true at all since during actual firefights people have pretty much no clue how many rounds they are popping off.

It's not an issue in modern warfare. Engagement distances are very rarely ever close enough to where you need to be constantly aware of how close you are to a reload. The only guys who are doing that on a regular basis are special op dudes and they do it so regularly that they have a constant running counter of hoe much ammunition they've spent without losing track due to an adrenaline rush. Realistically a digital ammunition display would be more useful to something like a police officer. Even then, it's situational.

it lets you be sure about your rounds without having to pull the mag. do you also makes sense to remove all gauges from a cars dashboard because you can sort of guesstimate it based on sound and knowing how hard youre pressing the engine and when the last time you gassed up is?

I was a zogbot in Iraq, have a nice day

so you lost the war? maybe some gauges would have helped you not get your shit pushed in by cavemen

i for one really like the p99. it's expensive but very good and also extremely sleek for a handgun. if you'd wear something under your tux with money not being an issue, the p99 it is.

Either that or in this version of the character, the previous M was a man. The Bond films sort of played fast and loose regarding continuity especially with different actors. It wasn't until Craig's era where they tried to have more of a coherent and longer story. With mixed results.
