Also when he does interviews on other shows he comes off as a brainless dupe.
His send up of Bill OReilly was spot on. It was kind of a one joke thing he made work for a long time. As soon as he stopped satirising the OReilly Report and was himself instead of a character, he became the exact same sort of obnoxious mouthpiece as Bill OReilly, just for the other side.
