Daily reminder that he did absolutely, legitimately, genuinely, unironically, literally and figuratively nothing wrong.
the fact he used misa for so long was kind of shitty and killed rem was really shitty
but yeah he didnt do much wrong
Rem was constantly threatening to kill him if he messed with her waifu, so I don't blame Light. Rem was a simp that shouldn't have been messing around in the human world like she did.
i know but it felt shitty to me because rem knew that he was only keeping misa around because of her eyes and would never agree to do it himself so he basically needed her
i have read it in over a decade so i could be remembering shit wrong
Yes, Light completely manipulated Misa, firstly to use her Shingami eyes, and then to draw L's attention to her, which pressured Rem into killing L so L didn't arrest Misa again.
But Misa herself was a pretty fricked up and evil person, she murdered countless people just because Light told her to, and also murdered police officers of her own volition.
i know i remember most of it i have all 12/13 books/novel, i jsut barely remember rem being killed cant even remember if it was before they where in captivity or when they had the time skip
i heard netflix are gonna make it
again?
Rem kills L and Watari, and thus kills herself, right before the timeskip, shortly after the Yotsuba storyline is ended and Light gets his memories back. Rem's actions are what basically makes Light win, and leads to the time jump.
ahhh yes and watari deltes the files and L has the 23 days left to live
god i fricking hate that little emo homosexual
not near he was cute the other one. i actually think the live action movies did the ending better
The moment Misa found out about Light being Kira and made him aware of it, his option were either killing her or using her.
>he doesn't remember when mikami starts killing neets and druggies in the manga and the only thing light disagees with is that it's too soon and people wouldn't accept it yet
he would have killed off 90% of this site eventually including all the autist weeb who idolise him
The answer you're looking for is a simple loss of a job. The "jewdicial" sustem has no purpose without crime.
Crime predates laws
kys redditor
I would break your skull for saying that
wow that was heckin scary
That's the most reddit thing you could have said.
no it doesnt, god made laws before the first crime
im fine with that as long as he also kills the women that destroyed literature, movies, comics, and video games.
Lol, what a fricking sheep, kill the corrupt leaders first
It scares me people are unable to kill corrupt leaders
Light does kill evil politicians though, that's why they're no war in his utopia.
>he would have killed off 90% of this site
So would I if I could, problem?
Yet I’m still alive, the useless c**t
Wrong, Mello in part 2 killed his mole (The Rat) while ordering him to kill all the Near team members whose names his criminal gang managed to recover.
Then the Rat Killed himself. So Mello had one of his minion to wrote in the stolen note something like "Rat (insert his really name) kill all these people (insert Near's team member's names), and then blow up his head"
What you CANT do is make a dude killed with the note kill randomly people in doing so, or ordering him to kill someone that you dont know his name
probably not
He did everything wrong that's why he got caught
baced
His only mistake was trusting that moron Mikami
the mistake was not using the death note on mikami and thus controlling his actions
Light has an extremely naive and childish outlook on justice.
>Some people are good others are bad, that's just how the world is
This is an attitude that children typically grow out of when they get into adulthood and realize the world, and morality isn't so black and white. It's like how children will say "Why are there wars when we could all just get along?" Then a few hours later attack another child because "he took MY gummy bears! And that made me mad!"
This was brutally highlighted in the end when all he could repeat was "I don't want to die." When he had killed possibly hundreds of thousands of people.
Making the FBI agent's wife hang herself definitely didn't feel right.
Playing god is wrong and that’s the moral of the story.
His only mistake was autisticly putting himself in the same room as the one man who could figure out who he was. If he fled Japan he would have never been caught. Why would you directly involve yourself with your own investigation. He was a fool much to proud, and that why he fake pre in the end.
>guy has red eyes in anime
Hey, this dude may be up to no good!
Him killing the qt wife of ray penber made him irredeemably evil.
no shet deserved it
Why? inb4 she opposed kira, the god of the new world
>didn't do anything wrong
then why did he lose? Checkmate atheists
t. Mikami
The author is a korean immigrant leftist whose father got screwed up by the Japanese judicial system and couldn't find a job, Light is a character that's supposed to make fun of neto-uyos.
Good. Never let foreigners to take root and power in your land. Especially if belong to people that have grudge against yours, like the dirty dog-eating koreans with their based former japp overlords
Not entirely true. The death note can only cause people to die if their names are written in it.
So if I wrote "Donald Trump kills Joe Biden", that would be totally okay because I'm specifying both of their names.
But I can't write "Joe Biden nukes China" because I'd have to first specify all the names of the people that should die
Are koreans the israelites of asia?
bruh dey do be like it frfr
Black folk of Asia
narcisism actually, like most serial killers he went out of his way to get cought
His end goal was to kill people for J-walking and littering so despite an inevidible percentage of innocents, he'd kill a shit ton more guilty.
Also he literally saw a woman being raped by a motorcycle gang and killed its leader Takuo Shibuimaru on the spot.
She wasn't being raped, they were just acting creepy to her.
They were unbuckling her pants and trying to pull them down anon.
they made the scene more rapey in the anime to make light more justified I guess, in the manga they were just hitting on her in a pushy way but there was no rape attempt
Why is the anime so moronic?
I just went and check he literally just grabbed her waist in the manga and nothing else. Light was tripping just before saying stupid shit like: " as you walk around you start to notice that a lot of people around you deserve death ".
>he literally just grabbed her waist in the manga and nothing else
He also literally drives onto the sidewalk to box her in so she can't get away. That's a pretty fricked up thing to do.
Nah she could leave, had enough space.
First viewing of the series I was focused on L and how cool and mysterious he was, but on my second viewing of it (very recently) I paid more attention to Light, and honestly this guy's plans and schemes were so brilliant that I feel like he kind of deserved to win based on how clever and cunning he was. The whole memory loss + manipulating Rem into killing L and Watari plan is possibly the smartest plan I've ever seen in a show or movie.
he won
is he alright
>.ru
I ain't clicking that shit.
The Rem thing was moronic. You're telling me the smartest shithead in Japan couldn't think up a better plan than to hope and pray this otherworldly monster would be willing to kill itself for pussy?
But it wasn't much of a gamble, since Rem literally told him earlier that she was willing to die to protect Misa, when Light first threatened to kill her. Light was excellent at reading people and knowing how to manipulate them - his father, the task force, Naomi and Ray, Misa etc. Rem was no different. The only people he could never manipulate were L and Near.
what if he got the shinigami eyes would he lose?
No, he would have been able to kill Near without having to rely on Mikami
didnt light meet near only at the end? how could he win?
Yes, but he could just frick around at the meeting and say "okay sorry I didn't have much to show you Near" then go back to the office and write Near's name in the Death Note then.
Light didn't HAVE to kill Near at the meeting.
Near won out of sheer luck. He would've died in the warehouse along the others if Mikami didn't frick up everything 2 days before the meeting
Near acknowledged that he only won because Mello's plan exposed Light's trick.
It does feel a bit like a cop-out, like in terms of raw intelligence and cunning, Light absolutely deserved to win. As he himself said, Near was nowhere near L's level, and since Light beat L, Near wasn't any real challenge.
Mikami also fricked up by not testing the notebook or checking if it was tampered before the meeting. He went to bank, grabbed notebook and inmediately boarded a plane to the warehouse' location
Daily reminder that Near cheated
This is just a theory, there's no actual evidence for it. Near would have been killed if it wasn't for Mello's kidnapping plan.
Light cheated since the start, He had invisible daemons doing works and killing people for him, and at the time litterally nobody aside him and Misa knew about their existence.
it was like playing chess with two invisible additional pieces the opponent dosent know you have.
no shit thats the point
and he still fricked up lmao
if the thing written in the note book is not possible, the victim will simply die of a heart attack, so complication is not an issue, since it will either work and he will bury the gold in the specified location, or die without even trying. which is kinda a bummer, but i wouldnt get caught and i could refine the plan on the next attempt. manipulating the stock market is a neat idea, it worked for yotsuba; until everyone died, but i wouldnt know where to begin with that, who to kill or what to instruct them to do before hand
>daemons
you mean demons? daemons are Linux background processes
"Daemons" is based on the old original latin pronunciation. It's still also used in Warhammer
>playing chess with two invisible additional pieces the opponent dosent know you have
now that'd be quite the videogame
>Near won out of sheer luck
>luck
Near cheated and controlled Mikami with the Death Note.
should have kept L, near was dogshit
O MY RUBBER ACTUALLY I WAS CONTROLLING MIKAMI THIS WHOLE TIME-ASSPULL, GET THESE SHONEN JUMP EDITORS OFF MY BACK NOW.
Near knew everything, if he hadn't been able to tamper with Mikami's notebook then we wouldn't have shown up at the warehouse and just kept goind with the investigation.
animeonly morons need not comment
Only differences in the manga are
>near and mello storylines are a bit longer
>mikami's death is different
>light dies more pathetically
Other than the anime adaptation is 98% perfect.
really prefer Lights more pathetic death, don't know why they didn't do it in the anime
its not a good ending when you grow to like the character despite him being a villain
after all he was just a kid with good intentions
he was a narcissist who was ego-tripping so hard he thought he was God. he coulda got a whole lot further if he didnt use heart attacks, like tones of accidents and suicides would have worked, would be far harder to investigate, probably would take a long time for someone to even think "hmm, maybe there is a single person responsible for these seemingly unrelated global suicides and accidents" but no, he had to let people know it was someone passing judgement. his intentions were to be a God, killing criminals was just a means to that end, because his ego couldnt take just biting the bullet and killing world leaders then holding countries and their people ransom.
the death note made him evil
when he lost his memories he was good
when he had his memories wiped he thought several times that he was freaked out about how similar his and kiras thought in moral terms
It's clear from various hints that the Note simply reveal a PART of him nobody, not even himself, knew he had.
I can agree to that year after year of using the Note, his "new" persone completely devoured the old Light, leaving only a power hungry sociopath with a permament god complex
for the volume of deaths he was going it would be suspicious at some point. disease outbreaks might be a better way to cover it up, at least in prisons. Obvious sabotage but still misleading.
>just a kid with good intentions
His intentions were to become the God of a new world and he killed everyone he deemed unworthy. He didn't want to help or better the world. His intentions were not good.
The moment he realized the true power of the Death Note he got to work killing off every criminal he could. He scheduled writing names in the book so that it wouldn't disrupt his academic performance. He knew it wasn't good so he did what he could to hide it.
He never stopped to reflect on what he had done. Even when it made clear that his version of justice is cruel and insane, he kept going, killing even his own father in the process.
I would write
>Joe Biden will forgive all student loans, lower gas prices, expose all the names in Epstein's book and who killed him before dying peacefully in his sleep
>Kill Larry Fink, the Rothschilds and pretty much every single billionaire, only after they donated their wealth back into the global economy, except Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerbeg (Bill Gates is okay and the Zucc is at least pretty funny unintentionally.)
Also, Lightgays can't understand he always had the potential of a sociopathic serial killer with a God complex, just now he had been given a tool to reveal his true self.He started off killing criminals that were already doing hard time and probably would have received the death sentence anyway, and then the rest of the time killing people who were investigating him.
He would eventually graduate to outright killing J-walkers, addicts and even unemployed people all just to serve his idea of a utopia. He would leave the world in a much worse state.
I don't know how anybody can claim Light is "good".
I mean he literally tormented the FBI agent's pregnant wife and laughed as he sent a pregnant woman to her death
frick, i just though, what about bit coin or something? he buys a large amount of bit coin, transfers it to my wallet. maybe add a few steps in it, he transfers it to someone, who transfers it to someone else etc, eventually getting to me. would have to kill, like, 20 other people or whatever, would have to make sure everyone in the chain could do it, otherwise the money would be stuck in some random buttholes wallet with no way of accessing it.
or maybe just instruct him to send me the details of his wallet, so i can access it without it needing to be transferred? is that possible or is the wallet associated with the hardware its on?
Security measures are irrelevant as long as the person hasn't forgotten their seed phrase and has access to the wallet. It is still a bad idea, as bitcoin transactions are easily and publicly traceable. 20 transactions is nothing especially if you do it more than once and it all comes back to you. You would never be able to use the money without eventually being tracked down.
It's spelled out in the anime. "I am justice" said simultaneously by Light and L.
The anime makers were pro-Light and hated Near. He's much more fleshed out and sympatetic in the manga, with his own ideas about justice and a clear vision of the world
(why would they do this before anything suspicious happened? is it a thing banks do by default?)
I'm pretty sure they keep track
the point is that banknotes are trackABLE not whether or not they would be tracked
>alright, tell him to take all his money and buy gold
you're adding more possible complications rather than reducing possible complications and adding redundancy
using the death note to maintain financial security seems like a nightmare but if you used to influence the stock market, that would probably be the biggest blow to the "world order" if that is truly your enemy.
>“For me, one of the premises of the series is that once a person died, they could never come back to life. I really wanted to set a rule that bringing characters back to life is cheating. That's why death equals "nothingness" … If I had to choose [a theme to express throughout the series], I'd say "Humans will all eventually die and never come back to life, so let's give it our all while we're alive”
Heaven and Hell don't exist in Death Note. Your soul gets obliterated, there is no justice
>Heaven and Hell don't exist in Death Note. Your soul gets obliterated, there is no justice
that was just Ryuk egging on Light
Ryuk specifically says that using the death note prevents that soul from entering heaven or hell and condemns it to complete oblivion. That was one of the actual consequences of a human using it
frick, i just though, what about bit coin or something? he buys a large amount of bit coin, transfers it to my wallet. maybe add a few steps in it, he transfers it to someone, who transfers it to someone else etc, eventually getting to me. would have to kill, like, 20 other people or whatever, would have to make sure everyone in the chain could do it, otherwise the money would be stuck in some random buttholes wallet with no way of accessing it.

anime writers were clearly Lightgays
Show ended when L died
Apparently the manga creators originally intended the series to end there, but they were under pressure from their editor as well as foreign markets (mostly China) to continue the series and not let the "bad guy" win.
L was going to win but they had to keep going so they whacked him
>$whackd
ftfy
cope and seethe
Not sure how I'm coping or seething, I was just giving the actual facts of the making of the manga. The writer himself wanted to end the series with Light winning, but was convinced otherwise because too many people were normie homosexuals that didn't like the """bad guy""" winning.
source?

rare case of janjan doing his unpaid job properly, I'm shocked
get fricked Black
This was a major flaw in his system but you gotta remember that in Japan the system is not corrupt as in america

wew
You are a funny fella

Last time I started a Death Note some homosexual janny deleted and banned me for being off topic.
no it was being a newbie Black person who got banraped from Cinemaphile for being a newbie Black person and moved with his shitty threads to Cinemaphile
I think Mello was more epic
mello and near were lame AF
false
It wasn't autism, he was charismatic and popular
Near acknowledged that he only won because Mello's plan exposed Light's trick.
It does feel a bit like a cop-out, like in terms of raw intelligence and cunning, Light absolutely deserved to win. As he himself said, Near was nowhere near L's level, and since Light beat L, Near wasn't any real challenge.
God, I wish I had a Death Note. You guys would love the kino I'd deliver.
Light's plans were more ambituous and significant than just killing all the israelites or any girl that rejected him in high school.
what was lights worst mistakes?
not giving up the note
Killing the guy L put up as his face tv.
Killing Ray Penber. That's the thing that pretty much confirmed to L that Light was Kira. Before that he didn't know, but as soon as Ray died after following only TWO suspects, that pretty much confirmed it.
Light fricked up by killing Lind L Taylor on TV but he could have still won if he didn't do anything suspicious after that. But killing Penber was stupid and also unnecessary, since he was going to give Light the all-clear anyway.
he killed all the fbi agents in random order actually stil dumb especially actually meating penber instead of comming up with a safer way
for me is using police esclusive information to put L and the police against each other, he narrowed it down from millions to thousands in for nothing, killing the fbi agents is a close second
In general he should have just realised he fricked up after killing fake L and never engage with him or any law inforcment again
>he killed all the fbi agents in random order actually stil dumb especially actually meating penber instead of comming up with a safer way
Oh yeah I forgot about that
Still, he should have just not done anything, and trusted that they wouldn't report anything suspicious. I mean he himself knew that he fooled Penber so thoroughly that he wouldn't report anything suspicious.
It was Light's paranoia that brought him down. If he had have just left teh FBI alone, he'd have been completely in the clear. Not even L's hard-on for scrutinising Light weould have happened.
He killed all the FBI agents because he wanted to get closer to L. He wanted L to suspect him so he would shoe his face. Remember that they keep saying that Kira is childish and hates to lose, for him this was a game.
Being a moron and feeding Near info and also trusting that one autist
not impregnating Misa and making Lil Lights
no one cares virgin
A lot of people like and care about Misa
Deliberately letting L know he had access to police info then killing Raye Penber. Those narrowed down the suspect pool to the point of manageability.
making a public persona to "talk" to the public
Making it clear to L that he had access to the Japanese police systems when L already knew the city he was living in and that he was likely a student.
It was so dumbfrick moronic, and with L investigating such a small number of people it'd be really easy for him to see it was Light who is also a genius
yeah, that would be my secondary goal, after stacking mad paper, of course. you can literally just write "so-and-so will publish a list of their Crimes, crimes they are aware of or were a party to. crimes of their associates etc. etc. and publish it as widely as possible. physically print out a few thousand copies and distribute them widely and randomly (to ensure the information isnt just deleted from social media). then they die in an accident while trying to eat they own ass".
this way you have a list of more people to list their crimes and die trying to eat their own ass.
honestly light was kinda moronic, he didnt make a single person die while trying to eat their own ass. id make literally all the people i kill die that way
not expecting the show to turn to shit the nanosecond L dies.
Larping as a GOD like a dumbass. He should've just stuck to killing criminals.
Killing that guy on TV. Some guy did a good writeup on why.
https://www.gwern.net/Death-Note-Anonymity
the articles you posted implies not timing the death randomly was the biggest mistake, 6 bits vs 1.6 as he puts it, nice reading comprehension
In a sense I'd say he's right because the whole Lind L taylor thing can only work when you have already some clue where to start
wait no finished reading and using police information lost him 11 bits which is nice because it was my original opinion anyway
existing in a medium where the "bad guy" isn't allowed to win.
Rittenhouse was never declared guilty so no, Light wouldnt kill him. He would have killed Chauvin tho
Light killed people long before they ever went to court, though
Oh he did? Well thats fricked up then
Yeah I mean the whole point of his character was that he was judge, jury and executioner. He believed his justice was the only valid one.
As a law student I'm fundamentally opposed to his ideology, even more than most people would usually be.
I still greatly admire his intelligence and cunning though.
Laws are just israeli lies
Laws existed before israelites had influence though
>as a law student
then please grow up and recognize that these characters and story is mere fantasy before you graduate
moron.
Japanese court system is set up so that you're guilty 99% of the time
If I had a Death Note, i'd pick a big upcoming blockbuster that's still being made, and i would subtly murder (so they dont initially suspect anything supernatural) actor in the the movie, forcing them to reshoot/recast/change script. Or kill an IT guy and write that he destroys all the CGI data they have for that movie somehow.. stuff like that
I would use Death Note in this manner to delay the movie again and again and again until they finally give up.
Then find the next movie production and repeat.
He would have killed know sex offenders way before rittenhouse had a chance
>The Smartest: Light
>The Most Likeable: L
>The Coolest: Mello
>The Most Drip: Matt
>The Luckiest: Near
>The Most Annoying: Misa
Light fricked up and lost the moment he threw a temper tantrum and killed Lind L. Taylor. If he hadn't fell for such a pathetic and obvious jebait, L would never have known he was in Japan and would have taken him much longer to find Light if he would have found him at all. Instead, Light exposed the fact that he's still just a kid and wasn't ready for the responsibility of creating a perfect utopia.
nah even if they know in which city he is they'd still never catch him if he made no more mistakes
the problem is Light wanted to engage L
it was just a game for him
>the problem is Light wanted to engage L
>it was just a game for him
This
This is why both L and Light failed - because they were fundamentally egocentric people obsessed with the fun of the game, they both took MASSIVE risks to beat the other just to make themselves feel smart.
Near, on the other hand, didn't give a frick about ego, and remained hidden until the very end, being extremely cautious and not taking any risks. This what let him win while everyone else died.
Light, L, and Mello were all competitive multiplayer gamers, Near is that one autist who builds and curates a single minecraft world for half a decade
Near was able to make some task force members suspect that Light was Kira, which L could never do
But Light basically did create his utopia in the second half of the series, or at least laid the foundations for it.
I mean, he was just a kid at the time.
He was 16.
Even just a delayed kill would have saved his ass. Didn't even need to make any assumptions about any sort of trap, killing the pretend L immediately on live TV just helps confirm his killing method is fricking magic.
I mean, that doesn't necessarily disprove my point. His extreme caution is what let him survive when everyone else died. That's not really a point against him.
L was irrelevant in Light being beaten, since all of L's investigation work was deleted by Watari in episode 26 when both he and L were killed.
Near and Mello did all of their own work, and if you believe the theories, Near was manipulating Mello into doing all the shit he did.
>light would kill Rittenhouse
Lmao not likely.
Yes.
>I have to kill the FBI guy because if they don't find anything they'll investigate again but HARDER
What kind of asiatic logic is that
He just wasn't thinking enough, at the time he hadn't been spooked enough into being careful.
The character is 16.
>Lind L. Tailor finishes his speech, then the TV broadcast just holds on him in silence for the time it takes Light to kill him
I could never get over this.
They should have had it silent for a few seconds then he says "any questions?" and then dies a few moments later
>Make an announcement through TV
>"Any questions?"
Are you moronic?
I have a question
Such a terrible manga/show
You all realise shounen is aimed at children right? The mangas literally have phonetic pronunciation text next to the chinese characters because the audience is too young and stupid to read it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furigana
Would L ever have managed to get close to Light if he didn't fall for his trap at the beginning?
How would you guys use the Death Note? other than killing israelites, you dont need to specify that, thats a given.
personally, id take a politician, such as Boris Johnson, and write "he will withdraw as much money as he can from his bank account, travel alone to (coordinates for woods close to my house) with the money in as many duffle bags as needed and dig a hole at the exact coordinate given in the middle of the night, he will ensure he is not being followed and cant be seen throughout, deposit the money in the hole and and fill it, then return to London, write a complete list of all crimes he has committed, was party to or is aware of other committing, including the names of others involved. he will then publish this list on as many media platforms as he can think of, then kill himself"
that way i get fricken paid and the world gets a nice insight into the corruption of world leaders, its a nice jumping off point at least
This is a terrible idea
the banknotes could be tracked and cross-referenced with the location in which he dropped them, you would be found out quite easily.
Also, you'd never want to post your actual plan on the internet in any form whatsoever. Same with murder plans, never say "yeah, the way to get away with murder is so ez bro, you just X and Y"; your modus operandi gets traced back to you describing it word for word to your friend.
assuming anyone bothers to look into if he withdrew money, the serial numbers of the money withdrew (why would they do this before anything suspicious happened? is it a thing banks do by default?) and if the money has been used (not that they'd assume he spent the money himself rather or anything rather than assume whoever has the money somehow made him commit suicide by magic)
alright, tell him to take all his money and buy gold, or something, id probably have to write a few other names in so he has people to help transport and carry the gold, because it'd probably be a lot of gold.
and as death notes dont exist, im not worried about posting the plan online. of course, if it turns out they do exist and i get my hands on one it seems i have fricked up big time.
>(why would they do this before anything suspicious happened? is it a thing banks do by default?)
I'm pretty sure they keep track
the point is that banknotes are trackABLE not whether or not they would be tracked
>alright, tell him to take all his money and buy gold

Heaven and Hell don't exist in Death Note. Your soul gets obliterated, there is no justice.
>there is no justice.
????? lol?
Where does that come from? Justice is a man-made concept, it exists only in the human world.
>Justice is a man-made concept, it exists only in the human world.
If Heaven and Hell exist, then Justice exists.
No idiot, the problem is you moving a bunch of GOLD?!? Duh.
Logically, if heaven and hell don't exist, that doesn't mean that justice doesn't exist
>Logically, if heaven and hell don't exist, that doesn't mean that justice doesn't exist
Yes it does. If justice can be evaded then it does not exist.
Mello was epic.
you can sell gold pretty easy. carrying it out of the hole would be a b***h though, if thats what you meant by "moving a bunch of gold"
yeah, that would be my secondary goal, after stacking mad paper, of course. you can literally just write "so-and-so will publish a list of their Crimes, crimes they are aware of or were a party to. crimes of their associates etc. etc. and publish it as widely as possible. physically print out a few thousand copies and distribute them widely and randomly (to ensure the information isnt just deleted from social media). then they die in an accident while trying to eat they own ass".

you wouldn't even take out a few extremely corrupt world leaders or CEOs? should they have the power they possess? just real quick like ripping off a Band-aid? thats in a way sorta commendable, but also kinda b***h-made.
i dont want to go to hell so no
Death Note users don't end up in Hell nor Heaven, they end up in purgatory I'm pretty sure.
(in death note) there isnt actually Heaven or Hell, when all humans die, they go to MU (nothingness). pretty sure the thing Ryuk said about death note users not going to heaven or hell was retconned midway through the series to just be him trolling.
since in this scenario we are saying the death note is real, im assuming the MU tidbit is also real
I'd do something similar but with the end goal of exposing everyone who was in Epsteins little book. Basically just causing general chaos within the world elite. Just manipulating shit just enough for things to go crazy.
yeah, that would be my secondary goal, after stacking mad paper, of course. you can literally just write "so-and-so will publish a list of their Crimes, crimes they are aware of or were a party to. crimes of their associates etc. etc. and publish it as widely as possible. physically print out a few thousand copies and distribute them widely and randomly (to ensure the information isnt just deleted from social media). then they die in an accident while trying to eat they own ass".
this way you have a list of more people to list their crimes and die trying to eat their own ass.
honestly light was kinda moronic, he didnt make a single person die while trying to eat their own ass. id make literally all the people i kill die that way.
> he didnt make a single person die while trying to eat their own ass. id make literally all the people i kill die that way.
Much like Light making everyone die of heart attacks. People will begin to note the pattern, I'd make them die in more plausible ways or even in way that sets up redhairings to anyone trying to find me. Basically do as little to have this traced back to me as possible.
Ah I see, been a while since I watched Death Note so the details on that were foggy.
it would be hilarious though. like actually imagine waking up one day and reading like 50 articles in a row about various world leaders dying in tragic auto-anilingus accidents. even if they notice the pattern they have nothing to go on other than the perpetrator is a master of comedy.
Yeah it would be pretty funny but I'd be as cautious as possible while using the Death Note. Not taking any of the risks Light did.
I wouldn't plan on killing 1000s of people in rapid succession, I'd also space out the targets to make any noticing of patterns slower. At the very least not have people suspect it's some random loser with a magic book causing all this.
realistically it would be near impossible to be caught, outside of literally telling people what you're doing and how, then proving it when they obviously dont believe you
Considering I'm someone who doesn't even use their real name online anywhere I'm confident I'd not get caught. I'd still be cautious as frick though. Wouldn't even try to pull that Boris Johnson heist like the other anon said they would as it's too risky for me. Light was smart but his ego was what fricked him, if he didn't jump to kill fake L the show would of ended there.
that was also me, and the heist is a work in progress admittedly. there'd certainly need to be a laundering step in the plan, not to mention the problem of people noticing Boris randomly deciding to travel to the north east a few days before his tragic ass eating accident
I mean I get why you'd want to get some dosh out of the ordeal. Frick if I had a really good plan for it I'd do it but I can't think of any that'd not end up with me being caught.
frick, i just though, what about bit coin or something? he buys a large amount of bit coin, transfers it to my wallet. maybe add a few steps in it, he transfers it to someone, who transfers it to someone else etc, eventually getting to me. would have to kill, like, 20 other people or whatever, would have to make sure everyone in the chain could do it, otherwise the money would be stuck in some random buttholes wallet with no way of accessing it.
or maybe just instruct him to send me the details of his wallet, so i can access it without it needing to be transferred? is that possible or is the wallet associated with the hardware its on?
Don't know much about crypto but I think that shit isn't tracked so that may work out, if it is tracked you'd be fricked regardless of how many people passed it around. And I'd imagine if you had access to Boris's bank info the bank can easily freeze that shit. And if they see his account being active after his death yeah they're going to get real suspicious.
Light killed so many people, the authorities will notice a pattern one way or another. It's hardly subtle when an entire prison full of people dies.
Light was actually pretty smart though. By killing 99% of people with heart attacks, he led the authorities to believe that this is all he could do. So when he does kill someone some other way, they won't suspect that he had something to do with it
You can only control them for like a minute before they die.
no its 2 weeks moron
>write the name of very influential people to raise some chaos
>mind control minorities and migrants to kill or simply attack leftist leaning political personalities until they wouldn't be able to hold their own opinions anymore
>wipe out as many e-celebs by suicide as I can
>write the names of known corrupt people and criminals for good karma
>write the name of the top 50 richest people on the planet and have them kill their whole family then kill themselves
>Have a "fill in the blanks" page ready in case things go sour so that Xi Jinping carpet nukes the US, then Putin nuke China, India and North Korea
you cant use the death note to make someone kill someone else. you might be able to make them attack others, but not kill them
why not
its one of the rules, i didnt write them. i suppose its there because that would have made the series way simpler, just write "the dude with the afro will shoot L in the back of the face, then kill himself" the whole thing about trying to find out Ls name would be redundant
assuming anyone bothers to look into if he withdrew money, the serial numbers of the money withdrew (why would they do this before anything suspicious happened? is it a thing banks do by default?) and if the money has been used (not that they'd assume he spent the money himself rather or anything rather than assume whoever has the money somehow made him commit suicide by magic)
alright, tell him to take all his money and buy gold, or something, id probably have to write a few other names in so he has people to help transport and carry the gold, because it'd probably be a lot of gold.
and as death notes dont exist, im not worried about posting the plan online. of course, if it turns out they do exist and i get my hands on one it seems i have fricked up big time.
>So if I wrote "Donald Trump kills Joe Biden", that would be totally okay because I'm specifying both of their names.
no, you can't use people as assassins. you can write "attempts murder," but the "order" written in the Death Note is intended to be used against a single person at a specific moment in time.
if the thing written in the note book is not possible, the victim will simply die of a heart attack, so complication is not an issue, since it will either work and he will bury the gold in the specified location, or die without even trying. which is kinda a bummer, but i wouldnt get caught and i could refine the plan on the next attempt. manipulating the stock market is a neat idea, it worked for yotsuba; until everyone died, but i wouldnt know where to begin with that, who to kill or what to instruct them to do before hand
not talking about the Boris Johnson plan, that would probably work but there's no guarantee you would not be caught. the Trump-Biden thing tho, no, neither of them would reasonably act as assassins nor is it possible due to how the Death Note works. Light himself says the Death Note's greatest weakness is its inconvenience, it really is a very limited weapon.
>no, you cant use people as assassins
Wrong, Mello in part 2 killed his mole (The Rat) while ordering him to kill all the Near team members whose names his criminal gang managed to recover.
Then the Rat Killed himself. So Mello had one of his minion to wrote in the stolen note something like "Rat (insert his really name) kill all these people (insert Near's team member's names), and then blow up his head"
What you CANT do is make a dude killed with the note kill randomly people in doing so, or ordering him to kill someone that you dont know his name
it would be hilarious though. like actually imagine waking up one day and reading like 50 articles in a row about various world leaders dying in tragic auto-anilingus accidents. even if they notice the pattern they have nothing to go on other than the perpetrator is a master of comedy.
I honestly forgot everything that happened with Mello (other than his death), he was such a shit character.
>shitty cartoon has shit characters
wow
The writer admitted he fricked up in killing Mello's gang that early. He struggled to find him a place and a purpose in the final part alone with his gameboy-addicted buddy, to the point it was the main reason he/she decided to have Near win, instead of the original plan of having Mello defeating Light

Ok something is off. Dunno if it's a bot revolts, or people pretending to be stupid bots, but i'm leaving the thread regardless.
wow you're such a newbie
did you find this website like 2 weeks ago?

What a fricking joke
destroy the global powers, kill presidents, bankers, activists, writers
writers? why?
cool it with the edginess chudcel
Go on wikipedia and find as many names and photos of heads of state, party members, chambers of government, etc. That I possibly can. Do nothing but compose a list of their names for as long as possible. Any major government position, into an excel sheet.
Write down their names one by one, alphabetically. No specified cause of death, wait for time to run out, and watch as there's a cascade of every single person holding a significant amount of government power in every single country and NGO on the world, every single possible replacement candidate dying in the process, lines of succession being completely shot.
This would be done purely for my own amusement.
You guys off on a tangent about killing the most powerful, but what about the one's whose names are unknown? I think the truly most powerful people understand that power is truly at its apex if it's invisible. You can't fight what you don't perceive.
>You guys off on a tangent about killing the most powerful, but what about the one's whose names are unknown?
>shabbos goy publically names and provides a picture of the highest ranking turboisraelite he can
>turboisraelite does the same
I would never actually use the Deathnote because of the risk, but I would use it to kill all the people I hate.
start systematically slaughtering every billionaire making them leave behind vague, threatening messages about how so-and-so will be next unless he confesses his sins.
then watching them spill all their secrets out.
I'd probably end up doing it to politicians too.
I'd write in it ellen page frick her telling she gets so mind broken back to being a girl then she kills herself
>all that bullshit when you could just write
>transfers all his wealth into XMR and sends it to wallet...
Doesn't your soul go to limbo when you use it? And some homosexual Shinigami is always hovering over you waiting to write your name in his own book if you're boring. Ryuk was a real piece of shit tbh.
>Doesn't your soul go to limbo when you use it?
It says you can't go to heaven or hell but I don't think Ryuk wrote that one down when he dropped it, just told him later.
Cast her
Light is more on the narcissist spectrum and very good at mind games
as far from autists as you can get
"Elon musk makes his son swallow a mug a bleach, posts 'frick Black folk' on twitter then dies of a heart attack while looking up child porn on yahoo.com"
There
Meant for
Nope. Light's goal (before turning into a egomaniac schizo at least) was kill to PREVENT crimes. He never killed people who were declared innocent in court, or that received their punishment (prison time etc.)
He even seethed when Mikami, a typical zealous more devoted to the cause than the actuall cult leader, started to kill criminals who already received their legal punishment. It' was one of the reason he hurried in find a people who could act as a contact between them
>or that received their punishment (prison time etc.)
What? He killed plenty of prisoners
even if light just kept killing everyone just by heart attacks L would have never found him if light didn't engage him
just knowing a pattern means nothing if you can kill so easily and far remote
In the tennis game they had L noticed that Light have a compulsory need to win any form of competition he's in, even outside common sense (he fought that damn "friendly" game like his life depended on it)
Once L launched his glove of challenge in World broadcast TV, Light took it as a challenge and decided he would win at any cost.
But for winning (IE kill L), he had to give some clues to make L approaching him
assuming anyone bothers to look into if he withdrew money, the serial numbers of the money withdrew (why would they do this before anything suspicious happened? is it a thing banks do by default?) and if the money has been used (not that they'd assume he spent the money himself rather or anything rather than assume whoever has the money somehow made him commit suicide by magic)

yeah, shit i wrote is being reposted randomly. like in response to your post. i wrote that original comment earlier in the thread, not the repeat in response to your comment though. what is this shit?
Whose name would you write in the book and how would it improve the world?
>Whose name would you write in the book
Anonymous
>how would it improve the world?
self explanatory
How do you get away with this, 4cuk tells me its spam when I mass reply
also you're a gaping butthole homosexual
>angry newbie absolutely buttblasted by one shitposter
you love to see this
I hope you used a script to do this, otherwise holy autism
First viewing of the series I was focused on L and how cool and mysterious he was, but on my second viewing of it (very recently) I paid more attention to Light, and honestly this guy's plans and schemes were so brilliant that I feel like he kind of deserved to win based on how clever and cunning he was. The whole memory loss + manipulating Rem into killing L and Watari plan is possibly the smartest plan I've ever seen in a show or movie.
what are these bot tier posts
bruh it st8 aint bussin no cap
they are being controlled by the death note. i wouldnt worry about it too much, in 20 days they will all die in tragic auto-anilingus accidents.
This was brutally highlighted in the end when all he could repeat was "I don't want to die." When he had killed possibly hundreds of thousands of people
Dunno, but for sure something is going on. Some "anon" is keeping replying my post with completely unrelated responses, even litterally quoting different posts that i didnt wrote
for some reason trannies on Cinemaphile are really mad when people discussing anime here
yeah, that would be my secondary goal, after stacking mad paper, of course. you can literally just write "so-and-so will publish a list of their Crimes, crimes they are aware of or were a party to. crimes of their associates etc. etc. and publish it as widely as possible. physically print out a few thousand copies and distribute them widely and randomly (to ensure the information isnt just deleted from social media). then they die in an accident while trying to eat they own ass".
this way you have a list of more people to list their crimes and die trying to eat their own ass.
honestly light was kinda moronic, he didnt make a single person die while trying to eat their own ass. id make literally all the people i kill die that way.
For a guy who claims to have high IQ he somehow managed to get caught despite having the most anonymous weapon one could conceive. I could've done a far far better job and I clock in at somewhere between 110-120 IQ points. Light is an actual moron.
He DIDNT want to being anonymous. He wanted people to realize someone was doing the killing, so he could act as a becaon of hope.
Once L launched his challenge tho, his compulsory need to win any competition became his main reason to leave oblivious clues
Even the most smart, rational individual, in some moments and situations he's willing to do very stupid decisions, out of pride or other emotions
what is going on here
/misc/ chudcels harass the threads with their bots
report to lilly and ignore them
>12 posters
>194 replies
12 image replies, moron. # of unique posters is the third number
Yes.
Fortunately the series had most satisfying ending.
Frick Light and frick jannies
Reminder this is canon.
Ohba was a one hit wonder hack, thats why he changed his pen name after flopping with his gag shit

He really cemented himself as a hack when he killed off Mello just because he would've solved the case too quickly.
No he cemented himself as a hack when it was realized that death note is the only worthwhile story he could create
what is his new pen name? or did he write that
too?
Funny enough George Floyd would have died by kira and we would have never gotten all the BLM riots.
Misa Theme B
I love her so much
Assuming 8 hours of sleep, 2 hours of eating/exercise, 10 hours of image+name research and 6 hours of continuous writing of 10 names / minute, it would take 4.56 years to write 6.000.000 names in the Death Note.
>tfw the nazis were more efficient than the Death Note
I feel like Light would have taken the five minutes to look into the case it would take to realize who was in the wrong and then would have killed the one armed dude who survived instead.
He would have killed the 3 ((white people)) much sooner. Summer of love wouldn't have even taken place to begin with.
Cope.
>take over the yakuza by death noting all the leaders
>use it to assassinate L and other morons without even using the note
i am once again posting the scene where matt gets ventilated
?t=26
Real life Light would've killed the 3 criminals before Rittenhouse, cope troony
No. I was justice.
Near was somehow able to make an identical copy of the death note book under 24 hours that was able to stand up to microscopic scrutiny. That was complete BS.
never underestimate mikami's stupidity
The new Netflix series isn't going to do her character right. She'll be more "obsessed" rather than completely subservient to Light
what happens if a name gets written in the Death Note that multiple people have? Does everyone with that name die? And what cements a person's name in the eyes of the death note - what's written on their birth certificate or some arbitrary reason? What if someone was born an orphan and never got a name?
you have to visualize the persons face in your mind iirc, for your first question
Is that a requirement for every name you put in the book? If that were the case then id be surprised why he couldnt put nicknames like L or watari since he could visualize their faces.
its a combo of knowing the face and the birth name, but youre right i have no idea how it would work if you had your name changed or something
Psychopath.
DN is reddit.
Death Note is overrated, even Monster is better.
Funnily enough I just finished Deathnote and I was thinking about watching Monster afterwards
It does the whole concept of opposing ideologies way better and doesn't boil down to "oh my god if i take two scoops of ice cream L will think im kira....."
>Even Monster is better
Not much is better than Monster in any medium.
There's a lot of anime better than Monster. You don't have to go outside the medium where there's even way more.
yeah the writer is autistic
>relative is in the police looking for the suspect
>dies in the end
>let's cherrypick the ugliest nips alive to compare to anime
this is bait, right?
>number of deaths caused: -15
kek, why are fan wikis always so autistic
No, it was a histrionic disorder, his downfall came from his need to insert himself into his deeds (Which started with him attempting to kill L, an innocent person, simply for disagreeing with him), which shows he wasn't doing them out of a sense of morality but out of mere narcissism.
>Light, L, and Mello were all competitive multiplayer gamers, Near is that one autist who builds and curates a single minecraft world for half a decade
How do people get into anime when the dialogue and writing is dogshit 99% of the time and the only good shit is from the 80s-90s,
Realistically how would you catch someone with a deathnote? Well someone like Light who wants to be GOD.
