Then he marries Holly who's like 43 and apparently they have like 4 children after the show ends. >Holly's old rotten eggs >Michael's autism
I hope they were all girls
Steve Carrell is a likeable guy and some of the women were hot which makes the show somewhat comfy
but it really isn't good for anything more than background noise.
Looks wise Jan and Donna were way hotter. Holly looked like a grandma.
But Holly's personality complimented Michael in that she was as childish and moronic as him.
Dunno why but the OP pic is actually weirdly misquoted, Michael says Dunder-Mifflin Scranton, their only profitable branch. Is BLEEDING clients. Which is much more pointed language and makes it more satisfying in a business way
I always liked David Wallace because he was both this business dude who just cared about numbers…. But also exuded an actual personality. He wasn’t an butthole. He was just a dude who was getting along
Even when he brushed off Michael it wasn’t because he didn’t like him, he just underestimated how much he’d care that he didn’t let him have some party for his 15th anniversary. When he saw Michael was upset he offered to fund it and attend himself… missing the point entirely, it was just about caring at all. Michael saw he didn’t care about him or his dedication. So he left
So when Michael quit it was kino.
Apparently the David Wallace actor wasn’t really an actual actor. He was an accountant. Only really acted for the office show. Which makes sense because all his scenes are fairly “business person talks reasonably to you” scenes. He’s not asked to really do anything beyond his literal job IRL
Golden Office is the Jim/Pam arks that takes S1-3. After that the show soldiered on by giving more airtime to the secondary characters. The show holds on until Michael leaves. Those whole arches of his replacement are awful. I wished they would have put Dwight there and just move on. What they did with Andy in the later season was a disgrace. S9 wasn't that bad to be honest, but they introduced so many new characters that I thought they were gonna try to launch a spin off akin to Scrubs
Yea but it's also moronic that Michael displays incredible business acumen like 3 times out of nowhere when it's needed for plot purposes but then is professionally a drooling moronic for the other 98% of the show.
The show made a good job at explaining why Michael was in charge: he was a good salesman. I was more pleased with the writing showing that Jim was following his steps and was utterly incompetent as a manager as well
>I thought they were gonna try to launch a spin off akin to Scrubs
They were. Dwight's sister and that farm gif were a cute. >"The Farm" was produced to serve as a backdoor pilot for a proposed spin-off series starring Wilson as Dwight, which NBC ultimately did not pick up. The episode received mostly negative reviews from television critics, with many criticizing Dwight's farm storyline and some critics calling it a "Frankenstein episode". The episode was viewed by 3.54 million viewers and received a 1.9/5 rating among adults between the ages of 18 and 49. The episode ranked fourth in its timeslot, and it was the highest-rated NBC series of the night.

Lawl I forgot about that shit. God that pilot sucked.
After Michael's departure, the only thing that was worth watching was Dwight.

they actually cut a lot of unhinged but hilarious California scenes - there's a really kino scene of california co-ercing jim and pam into a threesome.
not even joking.
>Golden Office is the Jim/Pam arks that takes S1-3
No it wasn't. The Jim/Pam stuff was what destroyed the show. With the focus on their will they/won't they nonsense and other petty relationship bullshit instead of focusing on the office dynamics. And the focus on romance shit instead of comedy was what made this show annoying as frick.
I usually skip the Jim/Pam stuff on any rewatch

I dunno. But I know what's it like having two thumbs and boning your mom.
Dunder Mifflin felt like a legitimate company with a functioning staff across its branches. Michael was just am inappropriate but successful boss. From the moment Will Ferrell enters the entire company changes and it just becomes fake. Over the top wacky bosses was just stupid. Not to mention thinking Ed Helms could carry the show.
Will was only there for 3 episodes thankfully. His final scene werehe camein confused from the hospital was so bad, I cringed hard. Season 8 is still good if you can go in without expectations and accept Michael is gone. I'm gonna start season 9 now, is it similar to season 8 or much worse?
>it similar to season 8 or much worse?
Much much worse. The only good scene in my opinion was Ed helms I will remember you song. The rest of the season sucked.
Dunder Mifflin felt like a legitimate company with a functioning staff across its branches. Michael was just am inappropriate but successful boss. From the moment Will Ferrell enters the entire company changes and it just becomes fake. Over the top wacky bosses was just stupid. Not to mention thinking Ed Helms could carry the show.
>thinking Ed Helms could carry the show.
You can thank some NBC suit for that moronic decision. Wanted to hook the audience with the "star" of the hangover and cedar rapids
IMO Jim shoulda been the manager. Would've been an interesting dynamic to have a normal but maybe in over his head boss coupled with wacky employees. It would be a nice contrast because Michael was a wack ass who while a bad manager ultimately came through as opposed to Jim who maybe a good boss who tries honestly but can't make it work.
This could have made a kino storyline where Jim becomes increasingly uptight and strict as the employees think they can get away with goofing off after watching him do it for years. Jim as a character was at his best when he loses control of a situation and can't joke his way out of it (Charles Miner arc, Michael dating Pam's mom, snowball fight with Dwight). It would have been great character development to force him to reevaluate his previous behavior now that he is on the receiving end of it. They hinted at this a little bit when he was co-manager with Michael, but they probably knew they couldn't keep his character on the back foot for long as the main demographic for the show was middle aged roasties who loved Jim for being a handsome Mary Sue. I'm sure the writers considered having Jim as the full manager, but the producers probably pushed back as anything that would make his character less likable would he bad for the shows ratings.
Yea but it's also moronic that Michael displays incredible business acumen like 3 times out of nowhere when it's needed for plot purposes but then is professionally a drooling moronic for the other 98% of the show.
IMO they did a pretty good job explaining at how Michael was in the position he was. And why he succeeded every time he did
Basically there’s something called the Peter Principle. In which someone is promoted based on their success in roles in their previous position. Until they reach one in which they are just not good at or can’t get better in. So they’re stuck in it.
This is Michael Scott. He’s always shown as an amazing salesman. Which is how he became the youngest manager in the companies history. He lands customers everybody else deems impossible he remembers tiny details from customers personal lives which make them believe his pitch about their business having Customer service be better enough than a major firm to be worth it
However as a general manager he’s not great. Even with this, Dunder-Mifflin Scranton is somehow the only branch of the company still profitable as the seasons go on. With David Wallace genuinely asking Michael for tips on why this is. He has no idea obviously. But presumably this is just because Michael. Jim and Dwight are all very good salesman and given free reign to do whatever. And michaels unorthodox methods like movie Monday do increase productivity
People can be good in business and also be dumb. My own dad is stupid in most things, but he's the best salesman in his moderately sized company and has like thirty awards they gave him for it.
Michael pulls top MILF pussy every season yet everyone acts like he's an incel. Also in season 2 and 3 he's way more handsome than Jim but literally every woman that steps into the office immediately wants to frick Jim and treats Michael like a leper or whatever
>literally every woman that steps into the office immediately wants to frick Jim and treats Michael like a leper or whatever
maybe because he has the worst personality possible
From what I’ve seen, women actually like silver fox older Steve Carrell now better than Carroll from that era. Jim got them wet for the height, hair and “I’m better than you but also somehow chill” vibe.
He WAS an incel >"What is wrong with these people? They have no willpower. I went... I once went 28 years without having sex. And then again for seven years."
This and that meeting with the client and Jan. First episodes i was like, how the frick can this guy be a manager like with the british version. Only difference is Ricky Gervais keeps being a moron and never has a good moment.
>meeting with the client and Jan
Chili's baby back ribbssss

>pam x Jim grows stale >flanderization and increasing focus on Kevin, aka the worst character >forcing a nu-pam/jim with Erin and Andy that just sucks >the existence of Andy as a whole >California sucked and that grandma Ceo had infinitely more personality than him >Gabe was nice
Gabe was hilarious. I never understood the hate for him. And zach woods was a terrific actor.
Gabe was a little wishy washy for me. At some points he acts like a chud and other moments he was a complete b***h. Kinda like his role on Silicon Valley but in that show it was kinda explained why he was like that. DON'T FRICK WITH RICHARD
>Charles hates Jim for not acting straight-laced and serious all the time >Charles gets information that Michael is bullshitting but doesn't do anything because Jim made the idea look foolish
not a fan of the show past the first couple season but that bit was absolute kino.
It's based. Cinemaphile can shit on the actors all they want for capitalizing on being on The Office, but the fact is there are millions of lonely roasties willing to throw their money at anything associated with the show. Most of the casts were complete unknowns before getting casted and haven't done much else with acting since then, so I can't fault them for making easy money when the fans are pretty much begging them for product anway.
> You know it's a special moment because an actor looked right at the camera and it wasnt in an interview segment
About as lame as a laugh track in a cartoon
the best moment was when he called Oscar a gay and did a speedy Gonzalez impression.
Probably when he gaped Pam’s mom kek
Ohoh I remember that ahah
the scene when Pam asks whose mum he's dating and he just stares at her while smiling like the joker makes me laugh every time
kino
wait did he really date pam's mom
yeah it was the best late season episode by a large margin
Yup. And he dumped her on her birthday after he realised she was 60
>the scene where Jim realizes who Michael is dating
It really is an oddly great episode for S6 which was for the most part very mediocre.
for me it's when Michael realizes Pam's mom is older than he thinks and loses his shit during the meal about it
Then he marries Holly who's like 43 and apparently they have like 4 children after the show ends.
>Holly's old rotten eggs
>Michael's autism
I hope they were all girls
43 is pushing a bit to much but /misc/ has brainwashed a generation convincing them that women after 30 are infertile. menopause hits at 50
>t. wife had our kids at 37 and 40
>t. wife had our kids at 37 and 40
They'll end up here with you, isn't that nice?
Lol they are doing pretty well, thank you for the well wishes
>>t. wife had our kids at 37 and 40
That's just asking for moron babies.
>I hope they were all girls
I hate to tell you Anon but autism isn't a condition exclusive to men
>t. married to a female autist
I'd like to say I'm living the dream but sometimes it gets fricking annoying.
i just landed me an autistic girl that's less autistic than me
The Office is kino and I'm tired of Cinemaphile pretending it's not.
Steve Carrell is a likeable guy and some of the women were hot which makes the show somewhat comfy
but it really isn't good for anything more than background noise.
he was extremely unlikable in the office
For me it’s this
Call me when she rolls over
The things I would eat out of Jan's ass you have no idea
I would bypass that and just eat her ass
THAT ONE NIGHT
AAAHH
After all the hotties Michael had, he settled for Holly...
Holly was cute when she had wavy hair. Her hairstyle after she returned is horrible

Dude Michael would have been fired half way through season 1 irl lol doesn't matter how successful he is
IMO Jim shoulda been the manager. Would've been an interesting dynamic to have a normal but maybe in over his head boss coupled with wacky employees. It would be a nice contrast because Michael was a wack ass who while a bad manager ultimately came through as opposed to Jim who maybe a good boss who tries honestly but can't make it work.

Micheal Scott is one of the greatest characters of all time. he single handedly carried the entire show and it was evident the minute he left
Yea but it's also moronic that Michael displays incredible business acumen like 3 times out of nowhere when it's needed for plot purposes but then is professionally a drooling moronic for the other 98% of the show.

Frick off back to twitter you insufferable pseud, this isn't a fricking ESL nursery school
I liked his post, yours, not so much
They explain pretty early on in the show that he's a quality salesman
People can be good in business and also be dumb. My own dad is stupid in most things, but he's the best salesman in his moderately sized company and has like thirty awards they gave him for it.
Salesmen don’t have to be smart, just good at conversing
Michael pulls top MILF pussy every season yet everyone acts like he's an incel. Also in season 2 and 3 he's way more handsome than Jim but literally every woman that steps into the office immediately wants to frick Jim and treats Michael like a leper or whatever
>literally every woman that steps into the office immediately wants to frick Jim and treats Michael like a leper or whatever
maybe because he has the worst personality possible
I can relate to Michael. I'm a moron with no game but from time to time I get lucky somehow
From what I’ve seen, women actually like silver fox older Steve Carrell now better than Carroll from that era. Jim got them wet for the height, hair and “I’m better than you but also somehow chill” vibe.
His hair was moronic in the first few seasons. He only became chad after he got Pam pregnant
Jim early hair was the male equivalent to female quirkiness. Extremely effective. If anything late hair is worse
For me? It's season 1 Micheal.
I'm repeating a Wikipedia trivia, but the smartest thing US office did was changing Michael Scott from being a David Brent clone
They did the right thing. While he did a great audition, Bob Odenkirk's take on the character was too like David Brent.
He WAS an incel
>"What is wrong with these people? They have no willpower. I went... I once went 28 years without having sex. And then again for seven years."
manlet curse
i never understood why he reported into the CFO
surely he should have reported into the COO?
OMG guys look what I randomly found out lol, I didn't remember this!

So what's the best episode?
Dinner Party by far
THAT ONE NIGHT-AHH
Diversity Day.
The Injury
Safety Training
>Pam will never smile at you like this
why is life so cruel?
The whole arc was when the series jumped the shark. It was dumb and them getting that buyout was moronic

Goddamn it, i meant Chad
the moment he left this shitty show and he stopped showing up
Pam never recovered from the double pregnacies
>look at the camera to let the audience know it’s time for them to laugh
Pam's sister > Pam's cousin > pre-baby Pam > Pam's mom > post-baby Pam. Pam's sister is extremely pretty. Can't really handle it.
She sucked Don's dick in a cab in Mad Men.
For me its Brave New Jersey.
sometimes you look at someone and you just know their family owned a whole bunch of slaves back in the day.
how do you know that just from looking at someone?
Arrogance
But she doesn't look very israeli
She also takes a dildo in the ass in a movie called Goodbye to All That.
My goodness.
well now I'm thinking sex thoughts

She administrates the office
Can't decide if this is based or sad. Leaning towards based. Its basically free money and chili does taste good.
its based because hes getting rich off of recipes that are free one google

Pam is so fricking cute it's unreal
