As iconic as this portrayal is, we're supposed to believe that this guy lived for many years as a practicing psychologist and everyone thought he was totally normal until he snapped and attacked someone.
Brian Cox's Hannibal is less cool overall but it seems more realistic to me. He seems normal enough that you can imagine him outside of the context of being an over-the-top evil genius movie villain.
>We're supposed to believe that this guy lived for many years as a practicing psychologist and everyone thought he was totally normal until he snapped and attacked someone.
We are at no point told that homosexual.
you're an idiot who can't even do the basic research of looking up the character you know nothing about. there are several novels, movies and tv shows that explicitly cover how he got caught
>Weirdo European noble working a high prestige job
He's probably get away with more than a few eccentricities in late 20th century continental America as just 'European quirks'.
>Josh Moon must be very busy indeed if he's recruiting help from the forum newbies. Busy hunting that new one? What a naughty boy he is. Do you know why he's called Cyraxx? Please tell me. The shitposters won't say. Hmm.....
The importance of the Sonichu medallion is change. From a Tails-like juvenile into an adult form, and thence into Rouge-like beauty. Our Chrissy wants to change too, Clarice, and he latches onto Sonic the Hedgehog as a vehicle to effectuate that change. Our psychological profession has provided tools to impressionable minds to facilitate their gender transitions, and Chris has availed himself of certain of these tools. His near-total lack of self-awareness precludes any constructive thought on how to make himself more appealing to others, or how to solve his personal problems. Worst of all-and as you know by now, I'm sure-this lack causes him to act out in very disagreeable ways, which are nevertheless accomodated in our current society. Chris desperately wants to be liked, to be accepted in a community, and his immutable psychiatric state prevents this.
You see, Chris hates his identity-who wouldn't?-and he believes that this self-hatred makes him transexual. But the true nature of his pathology is a thousand times more revolting-and more pathetic.
I had to turn that shit off after two seconds, I was just telling a joke (repeated by another anon who did it before me) but here you post the real stuff. I can't even bring myself to save that sort of stuff, you're made of sterner stuff than me.
I've honestly never been able to actually bring myself to watch any content for more than a few seconds. I don't know how others manage it.
He was too smart so he had to eat people for fun. Especially the rude ones. If there's one thing Hannibal hates its rudeness.
Anthony Hopkins does a great portrayal of the character here. Mads also does an amazing job on the NBC series. The entire Hannibal literary universe and cannon is actually pretty deep and interesting, and seeing it play out in different media formats is really cool. Each one influences the others.
>marathoning this movie for the first and last time ever. What the heckfire is his problemerino, fr how were peeps okay with this ?
He likes to eat people, it's literally in his name.
>Hannibal Lecter
Where?
Don't we all get a little unpleasant when we get hungry, anon?

I'm telling you right now, "homosexual" *shoves you so hard you fly back and hit your head*
you're an idiot who can't even do the basic research of looking up the character you know nothing about. there are several novels, movies and tv shows that explicitly cover how he got caught
And they're all wrong.
>We are at no point told that homosexual
Yes we are in manhunter, well and then the remake red dragon.
Silence of the lambs is a sequel
I believe the book also talks about some of his former clients.
>Weirdo European noble working a high prestige job

Hopkins Hannibal is portrayed in a very super villain way, Cox's portrayal is a bit like "if Edmund Kemper" was an butthole type portrayal
I really liked both performances. I thin Silence is still my favorite but it's a rare case of 2 adaptations being close competitors
Don't make me hungry, you wouldn't like me when I'm hungry
he was a manlet
>watching this for the first time
Wtf is your problem?
he's evil
