Both are great. For how ridiculously short the film is, they managed to stay very faithful in all the important essentials to the novel but at the same time I like that it's not a 1:1 retelling, and the film has its own legs to stand on.
Enjoy having Michael Crichton directly lecture you, for 3 or more pages straight, through the mouthpiece of Dr Malcolm. The book can’t show you how to feel, but don’t you worry, you’ll be told.
I really like the book, but this is valid criticism. I’m lucky that I like the lecturing, but it’s probably what prevents Jurassic Park from being a literary classic (whereas the movie is definitely a classic of film).
Camp Compy! Everyone gets a compy companion.
>Jurassic park
>is actually an island not a park
jurassic island is still not bad tho
The two aren't mutually exclusive
>is actually an island not a park
What did he (the moronic anon) mean by this?
>Island
>Is actually on an oceanic tectonic plate
he didnt say that
It's in the extended edition, moron
Oh yeah then why does it already say Jurassic Park on the sign?

>The book is a miserable little airport novel.
Most accurate description of the book I've ever seen.
Honestly miserable little airport novels make the best movies.
The movie is clearly better.
