    kino of course

it's a great Jackie Chan action/comedy flick, it's a great American 90s buddy cop comedy, great cast, great crossover, literally ended racism between Asians and Nogs after the LA riots, absolute master piece

Chris Tucker and Martin Lawrence both turned into big time christcucks and just sort of faded away because they weren't as edgy anymore. Good for them either way. They made their money and built good lives instead of letting the hellhole industry devour them

They were both comedians turned comedic actors in the same type of comedy movies in the same time period and they both turned into christcucks and faded into obscurity around the same time. They may not have been friends but they are linked

You can see the themes are completely different back then
      >we may come from different backgrounds, races, or belief, but we can still share a common goal and cooperate
      Vs
      >reee the white people/men/non lgbt are oppressing us reeee we are right

Because the narrative is now everybody is a victim and Asians aren't seen as non-whites but as white adjacent because they ruin the leftist narrative of oppressed people in the US.

I really do miss the 90's and 00's. They touched upon race relations, but not as soapbox. Remember Die Hard with a Vengeance where John McClane accuses Zeus of being anti-white and thinking that McClane was gonna say the n-word? That's something you can never see today.

Rush Hour was a fun flick that explored the untapped Asian meets black American experience. We had plenty of white and black team-up, but Asian and black was something you didn't see and Rush Hour nailed it. You had a fish-out-of-water with Chan's character meeting up with a fast-talking Chris Tucker.

A couple of years after the 2008 financial crisis somebody decided that it's best to splinter the peasants into as many competing groups as possible. If they're constantly at eachothers throats they won't have time to look up at the penthouses when wondering why their lives are so shit. What's that old saying again? Divide and conquer?

Because they uprooted it quickly with the exact same tactic. Taking it over was easy because it was a grassroot movement with no leadership structure. They turned it from being a everyone-vs-banks movement to a black-vs-white movement and then it died immediately. Then shortly after, articles and news stories about racism began increasing exponentially for no real reason. And suddenly everyone at the bottom, of all colors, forgot about being assfricked by the big banks and racism became the big demon. The media using every opportunity to fan the flames and make the division between the peasant worse

What's interesting about that mess was how George Zimmerman was painted as a white dude despite being of mixed race (his mom was Latin American and even had a distant African ancestor). I mean Zimmerman doesn't even pass as one of those lighter-skinned castizos and would definitely be treated as mystery meat by people.

Nowadays, the whole racial divide is fricked up beyond belief.

I went to Tokyo with a Nigerian friend. Think young Wesley Snipes. Good looking guy and buff. Black as charcoal too. And Japanese people avoided him like the plague. When we went out to drink, a lot of Japanese guys would intentionally shoulder check him on the street, but never me, who's white. When I walked alone on the street at night, it was like I was invisible. When I walked with him, Japanese women would cross to the other side of the street when they saw us.

I'm not saying everyone is Japan hates black people, but your anecdotal story from the 80s is no more evidence than my anecdotal story from last year. Even though he was treated like shit by many people we still had a lot of fun there

There only needs to be 3 Rush Hour movies. Sometimes some sequels just need to be put to rest.

I loved Beverly Hills Cop and while I hated the 3rd one, I feel it's too late for a 4th one. Nobody wants to see senior citizen Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart. If they wanted a 4th one, it should've been made in the early 00's at the latest.

It's the same for Rush Hour 4. Rush Hour 3 wasn't as bad as Beverly Hills Cop 3, but it needs to mercifully end.
