it was alright.
kino of course
it's a great Jackie Chan action/comedy flick, it's a great American 90s buddy cop comedy, great cast, great crossover, literally ended racism between Asians and Nogs after the LA riots, absolute master piece
>literally ended racism between Asians and Nogs after the LA riots
this
>literally ended racism between Asians and Nogs after the LA riots
this might be some zoomer bullshit
there was no big deal there
They had parades
what are we talking about there
we're in the post 1960s already and moreover post michael jackson too lol
it wasn't the 2010s yet
>there was no big deal there
huh?
The first one was absolute kino. 2 and 3 were kinda mediocre.
This. I rewatched them a while ago and had forgotten there was even a third one.
first 2 are nice
3rd not so much
i like 2 more than the first one
That blooper reel though.
Honest comedy, 11/20
>casts Roman Polanski in the second sequel for some reason
Brett Ratner has been exposed a a creep/rapist/groomer, that's why he cast Polanski.
I like to see it as "yes, we are actually filming in France"
dunno, seen it once when it came out. i remember it feeling like a pg-13 lethal weapon. but i had already seen lethal weapon so it was like watching the tv edit of an r rated movie.
Nothing spectacular, but a neat buddy cop movie to turn le brain off for a bit. Funny moments too, the jokes wouldn’t land today though for most people.
wipe yoself off, you dead
What happened to guys like Chris Tucker? He can be annoying, but the guy has charisma and energy.
all black boys became whiny and low T incels crying about white men 24/7 while watching anime and jerking off to cartoon women.
its quite sad actually
Sounds like projection jamal
he was a fricking butthole
Chris Tucker and Martin Lawrence both turned into big time christcucks and just sort of faded away because they weren't as edgy anymore. Good for them either way. They made their money and built good lives instead of letting the hellhole industry devour them
Martin Lawrence had some issues goin on
also i wouldn't really link the two just because they are both black and they both were in a buddy cop franchise around the same era
They were both comedians turned comedic actors in the same type of comedy movies in the same time period and they both turned into christcucks and faded into obscurity around the same time. They may not have been friends but they are linked
yes sure in my mind i included the comedian thing and all that in the buddy cop thing
still personally i wouldn't really necessarily link em i guess lol
but whatever
chris tucker openly talks about how broke he is and was happy to do small roles in recent films
How the frick did he manage that? He got like $50M from the Rush Hour franchise alone and he did a lot of other movies. Setting aside a measly $10M in an index fund would have the moron secured for life
>how do people with no understanding of money lose all their money?
>Who you think you got? Chelsea Clinton?
>You want any Fives with that?
>How the frick did he manage that?
N
>tfw confuse Chris Tucker and Chris Rock for the longest time
POP IT JACKIE
HIS NAME IS LEE GOD DAMN IT
Movies like this were ending racism? What happened? It's like we made a complete reversal
You can see the themes are completely different back then
>we may come from different backgrounds, races, or belief, but we can still share a common goal and cooperate
Vs
>reee the white people/men/non lgbt are oppressing us reeee we are right
Because the narrative is now everybody is a victim and Asians aren't seen as non-whites but as white adjacent because they ruin the leftist narrative of oppressed people in the US.
I really do miss the 90's and 00's. They touched upon race relations, but not as soapbox. Remember Die Hard with a Vengeance where John McClane accuses Zeus of being anti-white and thinking that McClane was gonna say the n-word? That's something you can never see today.
Rush Hour was a fun flick that explored the untapped Asian meets black American experience. We had plenty of white and black team-up, but Asian and black was something you didn't see and Rush Hour nailed it. You had a fish-out-of-water with Chan's character meeting up with a fast-talking Chris Tucker.
I read this post and just felt sadness for what we lost.
2008 happened. they needed to break us off into infinitesimally small groups and have us bicker over anything other than class lines.
Yeah, divide and conquer. It's kinda funny how DEI and wokeness is biting big corporations in the ass now.
What's with these posts about ending racism? I was browsing Cinemaphile the other day and the same shit was there.
>tfw you realize Cinemaphile is just you and three other bots
There was a brief period where you were allowed to make fun of black people for being black and make fun of asian people for being asian, because we all hated muslims.
A couple of years after the 2008 financial crisis somebody decided that it's best to splinter the peasants into as many competing groups as possible. If they're constantly at eachothers throats they won't have time to look up at the penthouses when wondering why their lives are so shit. What's that old saying again? Divide and conquer?
Occupy Wall Street scared the elites because it was the closest the US had to a social revolution. But they created an even worse monster and they're gonna feel the brunt of it soon.
>social revolution
How? That shit didn't accomplish anything.
Because they uprooted it quickly with the exact same tactic. Taking it over was easy because it was a grassroot movement with no leadership structure. They turned it from being a everyone-vs-banks movement to a black-vs-white movement and then it died immediately. Then shortly after, articles and news stories about racism began increasing exponentially for no real reason. And suddenly everyone at the bottom, of all colors, forgot about being assfricked by the big banks and racism became the big demon. The media using every opportunity to fan the flames and make the division between the peasant worse
Pic related
same with 4th wave feminism. we got fricked again and are now in a worse position than we were in 08. ratcheted out of an already weak position.
They'll push anything that will splinter people into groups, really. Race, gender, sexuality and religion are the most effective ones.
It's how rulers have ruled for thousands of years and it still works like a charm when it comes to population control
I'm pretty sure this is just social media traffic exploding and a simple "number of articles" graph would look the same
Also gamer gate was somewhere around there too, if I'm not mistaken
Obama happened. He literally would not stop race baiting. He sent it into overdrive with "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon."
Well, it's true. See it from his perspective
What's interesting about that mess was how George Zimmerman was painted as a white dude despite being of mixed race (his mom was Latin American and even had a distant African ancestor). I mean Zimmerman doesn't even pass as one of those lighter-skinned castizos and would definitely be treated as mystery meat by people.
Nowadays, the whole racial divide is fricked up beyond belief.
Occupy wallstreet
There is no "ending" racism. The world today only seems more racist to you because you're on 4Ch*n/Re**it where there's never-ending culture wars 24/7 and people online swear up and down <Insert country> is 100% racist against <Insert race> despite never having set foot in that country personally.
is this how gen-a speak? i ask because it's a new one on me.
Example: My dad's black and went to Japan in the 1980s. He never experienced a lick of racism, and he said Japanese women fricking LOVED him. But almost every social media website now says Japan hates black people and is 100x more racist than America, because trust me bro!!!
Nothing makes sense anymore, frick the internet and it's polarized echo-chambers
I went to Tokyo with a Nigerian friend. Think young Wesley Snipes. Good looking guy and buff. Black as charcoal too. And Japanese people avoided him like the plague. When we went out to drink, a lot of Japanese guys would intentionally shoulder check him on the street, but never me, who's white. When I walked alone on the street at night, it was like I was invisible. When I walked with him, Japanese women would cross to the other side of the street when they saw us.
I'm not saying everyone is Japan hates black people, but your anecdotal story from the 80s is no more evidence than my anecdotal story from last year. Even though he was treated like shit by many people we still had a lot of fun there
> Big, scary, buff African man getting shoulder-checked by the average Jap
Stopped reading your LARP there, israelite.
>Big, scary, buff African man
Have you ever seen a real Nigerian before lmao
Try leaving your basement in the midwest. There are 40 million people in the Tokyo metro area. The average height being 5'7 doesn't mean there aren't millions of men who are much taller. Especially among the zoomer generation and guys who go out to bars and clubs
> Try leaving your basement in the midwest
I'd rather live in the Midwest than over there in Tel-Aviv, rabbi. Frick you and your Mossad trickery.
>skinny jap manlets
>shoulderchecking a buff Black person
What is he watching?
Nothing, it's very boring..... (ahhhhhh slow down, baby....)
If someone made a good action movie with casual racism today it would make a fortune.
Great movies, legit funny and enjoyable
Do secret service agents really?
2 was the best buddy cop slick and one of the greatest comedy movies ever made
all three were 10/10
kino
Str8 kinaue
Most reddit movie ever made. It’s literally not funny at all.
>haha le sassy black guy
So is Rush Hour 4 ever gonna come out?
Hopefully not. I'm tired of greedy wienersuckers ruining old classics in their attempts to milk just a little bit more money out of audiences with nostalgia bait
There only needs to be 3 Rush Hour movies. Sometimes some sequels just need to be put to rest.
I loved Beverly Hills Cop and while I hated the 3rd one, I feel it's too late for a 4th one. Nobody wants to see senior citizen Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart. If they wanted a 4th one, it should've been made in the early 00's at the latest.
It's the same for Rush Hour 4. Rush Hour 3 wasn't as bad as Beverly Hills Cop 3, but it needs to mercifully end.
Nah, Jackie doesn't even like Rush Hour and is happy being a CCP shill
Damn, he ain't gonna be in Rush Hour 4.
He did. He likes Chris but admits he's annoying as frick to work with, that's why he didn't want to do it.
WAR
Kino, it broke down the wall of racism between blacks and asians.
Jackie's wearing a Santa hat 🙂
