to this day i still don't understand why oppenheimer was such a hit with normies.
i love that time period and i fricking hated the movie. i was so bored i literally fell asleep in the cinema
yet people loved it. a friend of mine doesn't watch shit and he said it's the best movie he watched in his life. im convinced they're just insane
I don't care about the plot. The movie is fun. Dialogues, acting, atmosphere and chemistry between the actors. I liked it a lot even though I couldn't keep up with what was happening. Just has that cool feel to it. Small guy
Kudos for at least being honest and admitting you're a midwit who follows a rule of cool, even if I can guarantee you won't be able to recall a single line of his dialogue without looking it up either.
Nah bro I like it, because I think it's cool. And against popular opinion I don't like Casablanca. So it doesn't make sense what you saying, but you said more like those nerdy kids back in school trying to bully you with their "logic"
Honestly the main reason I said it was because of Hugh Jackman’s performance. The writing itself isn’t particularly interesting or special or new. Are you one of those permavirgin incels who unironically like TD season 2?

It’s Jeanne Dielmann. The “greatest film of all time” is literally 3 hours and 15 minutes of a Belgian prostie doing nothing. There is a 12 minute scene where she…makes coffee. Then she randomly murders a guy at the end. It’s terrible but suddenly it’s been touted as the greatest ever.
I unironically enjoyed that movie but I also agree it's overrated. The only reason why it's #1 in that one poll (TSPDT, isn't it?) is because it's directed by a woman. Had it been a man who directed it, it would've been way lower.
Right. If they wanted to make a female-directed movie #1, Cleo from 5 to 7 should've been #1 instead of #2. The silent movie scene is a bit weird, but the overall subject of the movie is one that stays relevant.
Blade Runner
Arrival
That movie was TERRIBLE.

normalgays love the nuke hoax. its the only thing that makes the world make sense to them
i don't think its a hoax or anything. it's just a very boring movie where nothing happens and they just talk
But what if it's you who is moronic?
yeah I was hoping it'd be more about science but it was mostly about people
Because it's Nolan and normalgays do tricks on his wiener
A24
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Casablanca.
Fr. All other Bogart movies are kino. That's a snooze fest with him playing a cuck.
Uh-huh. Explain to me the plot of Big Sleep without looking it up, big guy.

>What movie is he watching?
He's listening to music while commuting, not watching a movie.
Dune and literally anything else Denis Villeneuevevuebevueve has made except maybe Prisoners but even that loses steam towards the third act
>except maybe Prisoners
I bet you think True Detective S1 is kino of the highest order.
>but even that loses steam towards the third act
It's like you didn't comprehend what he's saying you autistically want to bash TD1 so badly.

for me it was 7 samurai, harakiri was more engaging
Seven Samurai is a great movie, frick you.
2001: A Space Odyssey.
This, can't make it past the first 10 minutes.

Seconding 2001: A Space Odyssey. So fricking boring

I thought this until I watched it the second time
There Will Be Blood
>MUH MILKSHAKE!
This dude looks like he needs subway surfers in an open tab in order to watch a film.
