The Bridge, and the sequel Do A Flip
isn't the bridge a documentary?
I Stand Alone
That movie was fricked. Even for Noe.
Watch something with an actress or actresses you like; That would be my advice to you. The reason being, is if you do end it, then you'll get to be with those people.
>The reason being, is if you do end it, then you'll get to be with those people.
what do you mean?
What do you think I mean? I'm saying that the afterlife is created from every experience you've had in your life. It'll be a world, almost identical to this one, but you'll have what you wanted in life. A poor person will get to be rich, for example. Sounds nice, no?
You know how Cinemaphile always wishes for infinite wishes in Genie threads? That's what it'll be like. Nobody should be afraid.
What the hell kind of theory is this? So Peter Scully gets a harem of little children when he dies and Ted Bundy murders his way through his afterlife?
>What the hell kind of theory is this?
It's my theory.
>So Peter Scully gets a harem of little children when he dies and Ted Bundy murders his way through his afterlife?
Maybe they do. If you don't like the idea, then assume all bad people go to Hell, where they suffer. Do you feel better now?
What are you basing your theory off?
That's a good question. The answer would probably be what I've heard throughout my life from other people. Isn't that where all a person's ideas come from? I read on Cinemaphile once regarding what Mormons believe about the afterlife, and it was very similar to what I said.
>Where will that 'me' go when I die.
I already explained that in this thread:
You'll go somewhere where you'll finally be happy.
I can't say I believe it but for the sake of all of us I hope I'm proven wrong one day
>I can't say I believe it but for the sake of all of us I hope I'm proven wrong one day
I'm a very logical person. To me, it's a choice between being afraid, or having hope. Why would you choose to be afraid? Makes no sense, so it's better to believe.
I've been in more than one situation in my life where I could have died, and I wasn't afraid at all.
i hope it's true. i really do.
I believe it, and anyone who has a hard life will believe it. Some people spend their lives poor and alone, and that's why they might believe something like that. Life becomes too unbearable.
finally a helpful response
thank you bro
I felt sympathy for the clown dude when I wached it last year. I used to like the movie as a kid
>thank you bro
No problem, buddy. I'm the most depressed anon on Cinemaphile, and that's why I'm able to give advice that'll actually help you. What should a depressed person watch? Watch a movie with actors you like, watch a movie where people live a life you want to have. You can always tell someone isn't depressed, because they tell you to watch something depressing.
Taxi Driver. Get just a little ambition man. Send a love letter to Janet Yellen or Jamie Dimon or someone.
I'm going to write a love letter to Jamie Lee Curtis.
Life tires me but death scares me.
I just don't have the balls to kill myself no matter how disappointed I get.
You don't have to have a nice day, but I want you to realise that it'll come regardless of what you do. Being afraid of it is quite illogical. It's entirely possible that you'll just go to sleep when you're old, and not wake up.
That's kinda freaky too, isn't it?
Like, I'm alive right now. I'm looking at my screen. I'm typing this post. There's 'me' in my head experiencing all this. Where will that 'me' go when I die.
>Being afraid of it is quite illogical
How? Your body and mind will do everything in their power to stop you from killing yourself, survival is the most basic human instinct even when you try to commit sudoku
>Your body and mind will do everything in their power to stop you from killing yourself
If that's true, then explain how suicide is possible. Are you suggesting that it's never been done?
The fact that even one person has taken their own life, is proof that your survival instinct can switched off.
Your mind still vehemently rejects it, there's tons of failed suicide attempts partly because of instant regret or maybe self-sabotage
I'd recommend testosterone boosters, depression is a very female disease.
Not a movie but watch Bojack horseman
It's pretty much made for people with depression, especially if they have an addiction like alcoholism or drug abuse
you were never really here is the best movie for suicidal people I've watched
Dude where's my car
Make a Facebook group and frick off
Like this board isn't shit enough
adam's apples
Just watch all 3 extended lord of the rings and your will to live will return
movies like You Were Never Really Here and Taxi Driver are really good because they depict that perceived self-worthlessness is a gift and a tool, a prerequisite for heroism. I hope you know God exists. if you want theory explaining it, you can read Thomas Aquinas' Five Ways, but in practice, you can just acknowledge that the human condition has a meaning - a negative one, primarily. this world is awful to a degree hard to imagine until you witness it first-hand. do what you can to improve it.
Gurren Lagann thank me later.
Id recommend getting off your ass and getting some exercise, it helped me 100%. It gives me an abundance of energy to the point where watching Tv or sitting on the internet gets boring fast, which leads me to doing more productive things. The more i do those things the more accomplished I feel, which makes me feel better and gives me confidence.
So many people whine about depression or not having a gf while wasting 14 hours of their day in front of a screen. All media today is designed to demoralize you, walk away from it
