Made me feel miserable. Not sure what Smith was thinking. Dante and Randall were content to run the Quickstop at the end of Clerks 2. In Clerks 3 Dantes wife is dead and Randall is having another existential crisis, then dies. It's just a miserable film all over.
Randall doesn't die, Dante does. Randall survives his heart attack so when Dante has one he thinks it's no big deal. Lo and behold, Dante dies from his and Randall cries at his funeral saying "Like you always used to say, you're not even supposed to be here today".

I will say the only part that I liked is at the funeral when Randal said "you aren't even supposed to be here today" Probably the realist line in the movie.
