What do you even do in space besides drink your own piss?
flip and burn, moron
he is unironically autistic as frick. and also by far the best character in the show
>and also by far the best character in the show
Not even close. Miller was the best character.
He knew that the system was rigged.
Rare case of being raped by men as a child and turning out more or less OK afterwards
>rare
Not sure about that. It was basically normal for the Greeks and Romans, and they built, democracies, republics, and vast empires.
Then it went away with the weakness of Christianity.
Amos is basically the Platonian UberMan, an artifact from another time. If he was educated, he'd be an Alexander, a Caesar.
While what you say is true, the usual (99%) path for people who suffer that fate as children is in this direction.
only today, because the modern age is weak and decadent
Amos is the past. Amos is the future.
>While what you say is true
It's not true. Greeks and Romans were not going around fricking boys all day. It's homosexual activist modernism slander.
I see you've read the churn
They made him kill his Weifu
He was fricking gay raped.
Every man who is gaped turns into Ow-The-Edge.
He wanted to work hard and experience everything fun that space had to offer. Unfortunately buttholes kept trying to start shit so he had to occasionally beat some ass
being a Fleshlight as a child probably wasn't great for his mental health.
butthole status: Blown out
Human onahole'd.
A lifetime of silent farts.
he has no butthole left.
Genuine psychopathy bizarrely coupled with a hero complex and just enough self awareness.
He wants to do good but has no concept of what that is, so he places his trust in other people to drive him toward goodness.
He definitely has empathy for certain people (kids for example). He's just emotionally broken and a full-blown sociopath.
>a full-blown sociopath
No he still has emotions and a conscience. He's just had so much practice with disassociation and compartmentalizing emotions he can "become" a sociopath when the situation calls for it.
So much trauma he's become very adept to going the quiet place in his head.
Nope. Many times he says he doesn't know how to feel in situations with people and will just smile because it calms people even if he's going to kill them. And he looks to Naomi and Holden as a guide on what to do in situations because he'll too often just jump to 11 and go to far. His conscience is mainly limited to not seeing vulnerable people being abused
>call guy Tiny
>he's actually Big
Bum status?
>Bum status?
Crusted.
>socially moronic, but has insane rizz
He isn't socially moronic he's intentionally abrasive as a defense mechanism
Two expanse threads in the past two days, what the hell is going on...........absolutely based
I know I've made a couple. I've been watching the show with my daughter.
Anons are starting to see the light
I wish Amos bludgeoned the doc to death with his rifle over shooting him
utterly based scene and btw he is literally me (one day ill make friends with a chinese botanist)
I just started the show recently, almost done with season 2, it really figured itself out from what it was like in the beginning of season 1
it has some issues from season 3 to 4, got canceled then picked up by Amazon
Are they hard to get through, or is it worth sticking it out?
Seasons 5 and 6 are the screwy ones but by they you'll be in so deep you will keep watching. Still some absolutely KINO moments in them too.
Season 4 is a large departure from the first 3 seasons but still very good.
The departure is aligned with the book Cibola Burn, nothing to do with the change from Syfy to Amazon.
wut show?
i can't tell if she's mid or insanely sexo
hes
that guy
you, however
are not
did they ever say what Amos was doing when he came back all disheveled and fricked up? I thought he got the brain surgery to remove all empathy but after the little bit that he has still came out through the rest of the series
I havent got around to watch The Expanse yet. Is he a based character?
The basedest.
fuuuuck and you are going to tell me to watch The Expanse right now yah?
Later tonight is also fine. Kino is eternal and not going anywhere.
Sounds like a plan.
He's an autistic goon with moron strength and low impulse control
>and low impulse control
He never done anybody anything they didn't deserve!
>with moron strength
The best part is he's just a normal Earthling. Everyone he fights are weak as shit spacers and Martians. Even Joe Biden could take down a Martian commando.
Shit lol, you're so right the dusters and skinnies all just have low muscle mass and bone density
Martian marines train in 1G.
Yes, but they're still overwhelmed by Earth gravity and Earth's sunlight. It's like training with a 20lb vest when you work out vs suddenly being forced to wear that vest 24/7 and also someone is shining a flashlight in your eyes.
The Martian marines are basically a joke, the only chance Mars has at beating Earth comes from its fleet.
Which to be fair is a big fricking chance.
Any real war between the two major superpowers would be decided in space, and then delivered to the planet below by the dominant fleet.
The odds of a land war on Earth are nearly nil. Iirc the real Earther advantage comes from being able to sustain a higher rate of acceleration for longer. Their ships can get where they need to be faster, and can maneuver more aggressively when they do. Martians train at 1g functionally to counter that advantage and because it sounds good on paper for propaganda. In the books it's specified that the golden rate of acceleration for comfort and speed is 1/3 to 1/2 g for martian and mixed crews like the Roci, and belter-crewed ships often run at 1/16 g because they can't afford to go any faster.
If that's true then Bobbi wouldnt have been so assblasted by the embassy
She does say they train in 1G since they're always preparing for war with Earth. They have issues due to the open sky, intense sunlight, and real gravity causing disorientation. They only ever live under domes and closed structures on mars. She's never even seen an ocean before.
Then why didn't the Earther detective in season one go Kryptonian on the Belters trying to kill him?
Are you moronic? The detective was a belter too, he just made a point of acting like an earther. They bring it up like 5 times.
To be fair, I don't think the martian marines were ever intended to go boots on the ground on earth. Any environment in which they could have been deployed to the surface would have been one where they already won well before then.
I watched two seasons and I can't recall him ever doing anything unreasonable. mainly just being used as a morality prompt for Holden and niggress to start whinging and crying
Are you?
He was that guy.
A character that's hard carried by the actor's performance.
He's a character that with wrong casting could've easily been insufferable.
how dat bussy be?
>we need more women to watch our show
buck status?
at first I thought he was a hollow stooge and then I realized everyone else was the problem.
Amos parents abandoned him and his mom sold him to a pimp who kept him in shackles in a dungeon for at least 10 years as he was raped by men. He didn't see sunlight for months. Anyways he eventually became like an enforcer for the boss then killed the boss and ran
Jane Firefly walked so Amos Expanse could sprint at 200 mph
he looks like that guy on yotube that always does reviews of shitty products off amazon/aliexpress. it's like come on. you spent six bucks on this cheese grater. of course it's going to break after using it twice.
He convinced a man not to murder the pedo doctor who molested that man's daughter, because he knew that man was a good person who couldn't kill someone in cold blood. Then he shot the pedo in the face personally, because he knew the pedo needed to die, and as a dude with a ton of blood on his hands already there was no weight on his conscience for killing the pedo. Amos had no problem, he was simply too based for the story he was in.
>I AM THAT GUY
The doctor wasn't a pedo he stole children to run Protomolecule experiments on them under the guise of routine medical treatment
hew grew up in baltimore
When I watch this show I'm aware this character is not a veteran, but they cast someone who looks more like a military guy than anyone who has ever lived
Wes Chatham did 4 in the US Navy because he liked Top Gun.
The actor started doing a podcast with one of the original authors of the books after they wrapped the show. They go into a lot of behind the scenes details about Amos especially and how they ended up casting him even though he didn't have the right look at all, just because when he auditioned he was the only guy who didn't deliver his lines like he was making threats.
always taking the piss
is the show worth a rewatch bros?
i watched it all just once on release
Most definitely. And worth reading or listening to the last three books to finish the story.
