BOOBA ZIPPORAH
How did buzzlightyear, a cartoon, cost 200million to make?
It's a massive fricking scam isn't it?
that's actually pretty cheap given the potential return
anon I...
You mean 0$?
>that's actually pretty cheap given the potential return
so negative dolars?
definitely money laundering. I'd say the actual budget is most likely 20-30 million considering all the animation is done in indian and korean sweatshops.
>just now realizing that all filmmaking is money laundering
Development started in 2016
Pixar have something like a thousand employees
I don't know how well they're paid, but lets say 3000 bucks a month as a mean
That's 200M of salaries for 6 years of work
Not everyone worked on it for 6 years, but utilities cost a lot too
lol no
90% of the budget goes to the (voice) actors
The term "Hollywood accounting" has been around as long as movies
inflation
How does any animated movie cost even remotely close to that amount of money? All you do is sit around and animate stuff on computers.
Companies making 3D animation generally spend money on R&D on the side when making the movies. Also it costs money to have the animators sit at the computers for 8 hours per day.
prince of egypt is objectivelly israelite propaganda.
/misc/ its going to storm this thread like a shit falls from the anus.
jews didn't exist in this time period
diagnosis? Severe moronation. Uncurable.
butthurt /misc/ homosexual
>prince of egypt is objectivelly israelite propaganda.
nope is christian kino
/misc/ here, I love Prince of Egypt and Fiddler on the Roof, I'm also virulently antisemitic.
To be fair they pulled out all stops and actually tried to make a Masterpiece with Prince of Egypt the future of the studio depended on it. Boss Baby is just a product.
they wanted to overshadow the Disney Renaissance with PoE. It didn't work (made less money than Hercules) so they didn't put the same effort with the next 2D films, which had worse animation and writing
>how come companies keep doing what's cheap and safe instead of taking expensive risks on art?
Another /leftypol/ raid, eh?
they adapted to dumbed down audience
Boss Baby is great, only animegays seeth because their shitty anime movie didn't get a Oscar nomination.
Boss Black person >> Prince of the israelites
>Implying this isn't an improvement
>Prince of Egypt made $101 million at the US Box Office
>The Boss Baby made $175 million at the US Box Office
>Prince of Egypt made $117 million internationally
>The Boss Baby made $352 million internationally (biggest markets: 35 mil in bongland and 30 mil in Japan)
What does that tell you?
it tells me that normies like the taste of shit on their mouths.
nothing new
1$ at the time of Prince of Egypt equals 1$ at the time of Boss Baby, not only counting inflation but also the change in cinema and internet culture over the years
ADJUSTING FOR INFLATION:
Prince of Egypt made $181.1 Million at the US Box Office
The Boss Baby made $208.6 Million at the US Box Office
You've been trolled, meme'd, gif'd and, dareisay, pwned.
isn't there way more people in the world now though?
Yes, but Boss Baby was definitely more popular in 2017 adjusted for world population size than Prince of Egypt was in 1998.
YouTube for one thing was full of Boss Baby crap.
Inflation is the lesser evil now, you have to take into account the different culture. People 20 years ago went to the movies to watch the movies, now people go to the movies to vomit memes, reviews, reactions and twitter posts about them.
??????????
>Aladdin made $346 million worldwide at the Box Office
>Turning Red made... NOTHING LMAO, THEY DUMPED THAT ROASTIE SHIT TO DISNEY PLUS LOLOLOLOL
What does that tell you?
The new one is better though
Meds, take them
rope, use it
They didn't. The movie on the right does not exist
Kind of sucks that the israelites get to have the Prince of Kino with the AAA cast and we never got a Jesus animation. Thanks to based Mel for Passion at least.
they already shat the bed with their second 2D film. El Dorado wasn't good
Dreamworks Animation became a publicly traded company in october 2004. They changed afterwards
Dreamworks only made 2D films in their early years. The computer generated films like Antz and Shrek were made by Pacific Data Images, which Dreamworks owned
eventually, they chose to abandon 2D and start making CG films in-house. Shark Tale was the first one
That shitty Sinbad seven seas movie, fricking israelites made him greek.
>greek Sinbad played by Brad Pitt who at one point says "pretty cool, huh?"
the second movie is for women who dont have kids
How did we get kino like prince of Egypt to ...boss baby?
>left
garbage
>right
garbage
what's your point, OP?
