what was so funny about it?
i just remember that it was kinda inconsistent with the tone, like trying to paint jamie foxx as the good and the bad guy at the same time.
I found the whole situation funny, from the fact that this dude's master plan was just him leaving his cell for hours on end without anyone noticing, to his whole meme "frick the system" approach of killing anyone working at the justice department, it's hard to describe but it kind of reminded me of those incel shooters manifestos about the day of the rope, that's basically how I imagine whoever wrote this character, it's as if someone took a greentext from /misc/ and made it into a movie.
even funnier on a rewatch when you realize we don't even hear his family speak before they get yeet'd
This movie was so much fricking fun watching with friends in a theater when it originally came out. Might be the most fun I've had in a movie theater, ever. Stupidly fun movie that is dumb as shit and falls apart at the end, but it kept us hooting and hollering throughout. We were cheering for Butler's character the whole time.
I've never laughed this hard at a movie that was supposed to be scary. The common trope of main character being in an advantageous position (i.e. villain is on the ground and MC has acquired a weapon) and running away instead of making use of it is repeated multiple times throughout the movie. Then eventually it appears as if the MC is finally going to use a weapon to kill/incapacitate the villain and the guy just roles over, pulls out a gun and shoots the MC as if he's James Bond or some shit. Keked so hard that my drink came out of my nose.
It's "so bad it's good" while also being legitemately good at the same time. You can enjoy it ironically and unironically at the same time, if you catch my drift. Kinda like Revenge Of The Sith I guess.
Good pick. The bizarre arm flailing shooty nonsense, massive plot holes, and main actors doing their best to play it straight but coming out completely hammy. It's a gem, but I cringe watching it now. Ghost dog feels somewhat similar.
Couldn't stop laughing when the black guy whistled and his robot motorcycle came to him like a dog. Also the finale where they realize they can beat him by just both hitting him at the same time
Also Vanessa Kirby just wrapping her muff around the Rock's face for like 20 seconds in the guise of a "fight". Yeah I'll bet he made sure that was in the script.
anytime I see jiujitsu practioners do this sort of shit, I remember that slamming them is illegal because it's literally too effective at breaking out of the movement
Funnily enough she does try her grappling stuff in another scene with Rock and he just manhandles her and throws her around the place easily. I guess the gun is supposed to be the reason he doesn't do it here.
You could really tell Rock and Statham were producers on this one. I know Rock normally is a producer on his films these days, but this one felt self-indulgent on both their parts. Loads of just jerkoff action scenes and it was weirdly long for a very basic buddy action film, like 2:20 hours or something, the whole extended climax in Samoa definitely felt like Rock indulging his family.
The Nun is absolutely kino. I cannot imagine how someone could find it humourous. Perhaps it is not terrifying, but it is possibly a comfy supernatural romp.
Watched it in theaters with my friends, when the girl hanged herself and the cross turned upside down with the Inception BWAAAAHHHH my friend made a bass drop noise with his mouth and we all started losing our shit
Also >Holy shit >THE HOLIEST
Also when that priest gets buried alive was fricking hilarious and amateur
He's skinny fat doing push ups. All out of shape and dancing.
The whole movie is like this. I really think they knew within the first week of filming it was going to be a complete shit show so all the actors said frick it and the only one taking it seriously was Jared Leto which makes it even funnier.
Drive is pretty hilarious. Blade Runner 2049 is funny as hell. Gosling is just randomly staring at shit cracks me up.
Signs, I don't know why this one gets a pass but it's just as laughably awkward as Shyamalamadingdong's worst films. The dinner scene alone is comedy gold.
Schindler's List, it pretty much works as a dark comedy. I don't even hate israelites but it's genuinely funny at times. Apparently Spielberg wasn't even aware of the Holocaust until he was older and it really shows.
>unintentionally
This sequence I did not find funny but some of Tim Robbins earlier spergouts like at the party were a bit funny.
Comedies don't make me laugh as hard
Honestly this. Watched this with my gf and we both could barely frick afterwards from laughing so hard.
>my gf and we both could barely frick afterwards from laughing so hard.
But did you? frick I mean?
> I CREATE LIFE
>and i destroy it
Oh god the dmv sequence. Awful movie
what was so funny about it?

the newest joker movie with his weird portrayal of mental illness
The happening, hands down
This has to be the winner. I can still hear Marky Mark saying “whaaat?” clear as a bell.
Schindlers list
A Serbian Film
I thought it was supposed to be a black comedy?
No youre thinking of 'Tyler Perry's: A Serbian Film'
I don't know what that is
Midsommar
>OPTIMUS NO! THAT'S A VIOLATION OF THE GENEVA CONVENTION! IT'S A WARCRI-ACK!
these movies are best enjoyed in a theater with black people
Precious
La Bamba.
Out for Justice.
Crash (2004) without a doubt. Had to watch that shitfest a few semesters ago for class.

Also it all takes place in the same small warehouse
dont think that was unintentionally funny.
It's baffling this cheap piece of shit movie has gained somewhat of a cult status.
The Amazing Spider-man 2
It's "so bad it's good" while also being legitemately good at the same time. You can enjoy it ironically and unironically at the same time, if you catch my drift. Kinda like Revenge Of The Sith I guess.

That mcdonalds scene makes me cry everytime

kek, more than a little blatant
So basically Rock saw her in Mission Impossible and thought "yeah, let's get some of that"
anytime I see jiujitsu practioners do this sort of shit, I remember that slamming them is illegal because it's literally too effective at breaking out of the movement
based and Rampage pilled
Funnily enough she does try her grappling stuff in another scene with Rock and he just manhandles her and throws her around the place easily. I guess the gun is supposed to be the reason he doesn't do it here.
Oh no please don't wrap your milky thighs round my face
I never saw the movie but the trailer was comedy kino for me, I saw it like 100 times
>Mama? What happened to all out guns?
>I get reed of dem!
Was that the trailer that was like four minutes long and basically showed the entire film?
yeah

All of LvTs films are at least part comedy, intentionally
>villain's name is vilain
but it's still a kickass flick
Someone needs to tell Stallone what the purpose of that vest is.
Recently Morbius. It's fricking awesome.
He's skinny fat doing push ups. All out of shape and dancing.

It felt VERY 2003 or so, down to the overuse of awful looking CG in slo-mo fight scenes that seem to think it looks amazing.
The Island of Dr Moreau
Poor David Thewlis just trying to act in a movie while having to put up with Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando's moronic bullshit.
Signs, I don't know why this one gets a pass but it's just as laughably awkward as Shyamalamadingdong's worst films. The dinner scene alone is comedy gold.
Because all of it is intentional.
Blood In, Blood Out
every time Big Al appears and has a lil banjo riff in the soundtrack
I was supposed to be freaked out. Right? I almost pissed myself in the theater.
I found Schindler's List pretty funny, but I think its supposed to be a dark comedy
Swindler's Lie and every other holohoax film are just annoying.
Seven Pounds
>lmao I bullied you just to see if you're worthy of my eyes
this movie was honestly so far up its ass it made me laugh
>i slapped you to see if you are worthy of my wife
Maudlin, sappy garbage and the ending is hysterical
everything everywhere all at once, because it's so shit but they are so convinced that its a good movie
>loved movie is actually bad!
Insightful
The Last Airbender
Schindler's List, it pretty much works as a dark comedy. I don't even hate israelites but it's genuinely funny at times. Apparently Spielberg wasn't even aware of the Holocaust until he was older and it really shows.
Wicker man (2006) cannot be topped as an unintentional comedy
